Boba, just realised you missed Row78's name off the stats so updated them. Perhaps, just as you are waiting for your telegram, auntie flo visits instead. Sorry, you've been down too, hun. It is really hard. You have your ups and downs on this journey. I'm on my way back up again at the moment [there was only one way to go really as I felt like I had hit rock bottom for a while]. Hope you get your PMA back soon.

Sorry about the BFN, Jenni and SES. It could still be too early.

Tango hope you get your peaks just at the right time.

Hi everyone else .... hope you're all okay.

Ses sorry about your bfn, I got one too...maybe we just need to wait a few more days?? Fx'd!!

Hi Everybody!!

TangoTime · 11/08/2010 18:32

Afternoon everyone. So I was pretty sure I had implantation at the start of last week, it wasn't to be and my period came 4 days early. I'm surprisingly chipper about the whole thing however this has really messed everything up! Normally my AF is only 2 days long, I'm into Day 4 right now. On the bright side, my wee sticks have turned up today, plus a stash of preggers tests (18p each from Amazon!), so I'm good to go.

A slight downer on the whole process is that DH is disapearing off to Canada on Saturday and won't be back until the following Thursday. I'm pretty sure that I'll be ovulating at that point but I've got a feeling that the poor dear is going to struggle to "rise to the occasion" with a combination of jet lag and stage fright. Yes he's already expressed anxiety about having to perform with the CBFM looming over his head! Men.Hmm

I hope everyone else is ok?

Hello everyone and to all the newbies. How are you all doing?

Hi Lychees . Not been on in a few days as been really busy @ work. Like you I've been really down recently, am soooo fed up of the TTC battle. Seems everywhere I look there are pregnant women or babies. I find I'm bursting into tears all the time. I swear I'll lose the head @ the next person who asks when we're going to have a baby! Are you feeling better yet? Work any better yet? Hope you took that sickie?! x

Hello also to starlet, essence, choccie, keziah and vnewmummy x x

essenceofSES · 11/08/2010 16:59

Well I succumbed and tested this morning - BFN. No hint of a line :(
I've been in a foul mood all day too so I think that's me out this month. Just waiting the inevitable AF :(

ljg - it's impossible not to symptom spot! A bit like that Fruit pastille advert - "gotta chew, gotta chew"; we're "gotta symptom spot, gotta symptom spot"
As much as you try not to, you can't help it!

row - thanks! Glad you understand about the pronounciation in your head thing!

ljg72 · 11/08/2010 15:48

Hello!
Thanks Starlet and Essence, I have carried on testing just in caseHmm...temps show "OV" though, so will wait and see.

Good luck to all that are due to test! heres to lots of BFP for allGrin.

Trying not to symptom spot! ...when AF arrived last time I promised myself I wouldn't torture myself doing it! how hard is it not to though?Confused.

row78 · 11/08/2010 08:55

I think I've figured it out, UCL = usual cycle length?

if so updated stats:

TTC#2, Cycle 3, CBFM cycle 1, age 32, UCL 29, CD3

row78 · 11/08/2010 07:48

lychees - yes please can I join in with the monitoring, stats are:

TTC#2, Cycle 3, CBFM cycle 1, age 32, UCL ?, CD3

What does UCL stand for?

essence - arguing sounds a bit stressful as a username! :) It's like row row row your boat. I know what you mean about mind pronouncation :)

Jenni4 · 10/08/2010 22:07

Hey Ses!! I would like to be able to hold my head up high and say no, but I am hanging my head in shame as I tested yesterday...yes, yesterday. Not at all surprised at my bfn!! So, now that I have that out of my system I am trying to be a big brave girl and wait. I'm not really "feeling it" so the wait is getting easier. Af is due Sunday...maybe I can wait her out!!

Thanks for thinking of me!!

essenceofSES · 10/08/2010 21:37

Hello all!

I had a long day with a training course in Leicester today. Over 4hrs on the road this morning and then 3hrs coming home. DH had managed to get DS to bed and cooked tea though :)

row - welcome! Is your name row as in row a boat or row as in I had a row with DH?! Sorry for asking but I wanted to know how to pronounce it in my head as I typed Grin

Rosie - how v v frustrating for you. I hope things settle down for you.

Starlet - good to hear from you. Hope you get your cinema trip!

Viv - I agree that if it still seems a problem, give the helpline a ring. Feel free to keep posting on this thread too if you want to!

PinkCustard - hope all goes well with GP

Missyraines - have fun looking after your nephew!

Lychees - I'm on 2ww too. AF due in about 4 days. When shall I test??! I managed to convince myself this morning I was pg as I woke up at 4am needing a wee but I think it was just a one off...

Jenni - have you tested yet?!

Lychees · 10/08/2010 20:59

Hi Row78, of course you are welcome to join. If you would like us to track your stats, let us know what they or so someone can add them. Otherwise, you are quite welcome to dip in and out whenever you like.

Thanks for the thought, Starlet. I have been quite depressed of late ... crying on the tube, on the bus, in the toilets at work ... anywhere really. And you know what? I'm not even much of a crier normally!

I wallowed a bit but feel much better again now. I guess it happens to all of us; sometimes you feel really down about the whole ttc thing, sometimes really hopeful.

Hope you manage to have some fun this weekend.

Rosie, don't worry about having a bit of a vent. We all need to sometimes. It's frustrating to not know what's going on with your hormones. I get a peak every month and have had low progesterone on two 21 day blood tests so I have no idea if I even actually ovulate. So I guess the presence of a peak might not mean much. Also, there's been ladies on here who got their BFP's in a month when they never had a peak.

Btw, how are you doing Boba? Long time no speak.

row78 · 10/08/2010 17:11

Hi Ladies,

Can I join in? I've started using my CBFM today. I'm on day 2 of my 3 cycle of TTC so not done anything exciting yet...will be interesting to see if the results match when I think I'm ovulating and also will try to remember to start temping and compare that as well.

rosieposey · 10/08/2010 17:02

Hello ladies, not really posting at the moment as its only day 10. Something weird happened last night though - had some persisitant period pain (like i do when i ovulate) and obviously couldnt test on the monitor so tested on an old ovulation test stick. It was late at night and i didnt quite leave it the 10 mins it takes to get really dark but it looked quite dark - although not as dark as the test line.

This morning i went the throw it away and the line was as dark if not darker than the test line ( i know you arent supposed to look at it after 10 mins never mind 10 hours but ive used loads of these things and a positive ov test stays positive whereas a neg just stays the colour it is and doesnt darken) Perhaps this would explain why since my AF ended and for the last 4 days i have been getting highs on my monitor - there is no way i am ovulating this early on in my cycle as for the last 8 months its never been before day 16 so i just dont know what is going on. Did another ov test stick this afternoon and there is hardly another line - virtually no trace of lh at all.

The positive ov test on day 9 and those positive highs (i have a feeling are going to be like this for some time to come) on my monitor could be indicative of something wrong with me hormonally i suppose, im sure its not normal to keep getting highs all cycle long on that monitor, i wouldnt have been so worried if i got a couple of lows when i started peeing on the actual sticks and putting them in the monitor - does anyone else get this? Feel really fed up as am pretty sure that was a 'fake' lh surge last night (way too early) and my temping is going crap too as they seem all over the place.

Sorry its such a miserable me me me post :(

Lychees dont work too hard!

Missy - hope you get your peak soon or at least have hit the right time.

Storm, hope you had a nice time away but sorry that AF got you.

Ljg - i have a feeling i might well be joining you in buying that second pack of sticks for the monitor this month.

Viv, give the helpline a call - it is so frustrating when things dont work as they are supposed to, especially when TTC!

Starlet22 · 10/08/2010 16:52

Hello, ladies.

Just a quick post as am absolutely shafted at work ....

Welcome to TangoTime and Viv.

ljg mmn, it's a bit of an odd one but I think I'm with essence - if you know you've OV then there's not much point in carrying on testing. The monitor may have missed your peak - but that's not to say you didn't peak/OV - it sometimes does miss them. You could perhaps call the CBFM helpline?

Pinkcustard - good luck with your GP. I would push for tests - you don't want to be told to go back in a few more months if it can be helped.

missyraines - enjoy your time at home!!

Lychees - hope things are okay and you're not too down about your brother's news?

Sorry to all those who got their AF. Fingers cross that this is the month!

As for me, well we never made it to Toy Story at the weekend as we were just shattered due to work and late nights, but there's always this coming weekend!

Hope all are well. Must run XX

VivClicquot · 10/08/2010 15:02

Thanks Lychees. I switched it on during my lunchbreak and it finally asked me for a stick, so it seems like it's 'lost' six hours. Confused

Will switch it on again tomorrow and see what happens - if it's still out of sync, I'll call Clearblue! :)

Good luck to you all! x

Lychees · 10/08/2010 13:21

Pinkcustard hope it goes well at the Drs.

Viv, this has never happened to me before and sounds like your CBFM might be having problems. Try ringing Clear Blue, I believe their helpline is good.

MissyRaines, could be a late peak [?] although sometimes [it's happened to quite a few ladies on this thread] the monitor doesn't detect peaks even though ouluation has happened. Don't worry though as it could be a one-off. Hope you have fun babysitting.

Hope everyone else is well.

I'm on the 2ww so nothing much happening on the ttc front. Not much happening on any front, really .... just work, work, work. I need a holiday but have used all my leave on getting my house sorted.

Missyraines · 10/08/2010 10:38

Good morning good people.

Hello to newbies and old friends alike.

I have had another week away (work, not pleasure) but now have 6 days at home. I'm very excited as we are baby sitting my hubby's 8 year old nephew for 4 days We have never been responsible for a child before so are both excited and very nervous. It'll be good practice for the future (fingers crossed)

As for my cycle, it's been weird. No peak and I'm on day 20. Hubby did come to the hotel on Fri eve as I knew it was about the right time so we hit my first high (day 16) but no peak yet. Don't think I'll get one now.

Oh well, off to tidy our house ready for the up and coming whirlwind that's about to hit it!

VivClicquot · 10/08/2010 10:09

Hi ladies

Hope you don't mind me gatecrashing - I'm normally a poster on the TTC after Miscarriage thread, but I also use a CBFM (this will be my seventh cycle using it) and have a question...

This morning, when I switched the monitor on, it didn't tick over a day, nor did it ask me for a stick. I'm on D13, but the monitor is still showing D12 and a high.

I switched it on at the same time as I do every morning, so I know it's not because I've missed the pee window. I also brought the monitor to work with me Blush and each time I switch it on, it still says D12.

What's most annoying is I'm expecting either ny first peak today or tomorrow, so it's frustrating not to know what's happening!

Is my monitor fecked, or has this happened to you guys before?

TIA!

The CBFM is batteried up and I'm waiting on the delivery of my first batch of 20 sticks from Amazon.
