Congrats Harry and Vnewmummy!!!Smile

Tango my first month of using CBFM was great! a few days of highs, then 2 peaks, followed by lows...so thought great stuff, this will have me up the duff in no time!

This month was totally different! 20 days of high, no peaks??? very strange and expensive!, did get a + on a ebay cheapie though. I did read that sometimes the rise is so slow that the monitor doesn't always pick it up?...anyway stick with it, maybe it just takes a while to work out our cycles?.

Hello to everybody else (big waving hands) Grin

TangoTime · 22/08/2010 07:50

Congratulations to Harry and vnewmummy on your news.

Starts Rant:

I'm starting my 5th day on a high and no sign of a peak yet.

I came into this CBFM calm and collected but as my high continues the little irrational voice in my head is starting to get louder!

I know the CBFM says you can be on a high for up to 5 days before going to peak, and I know this is my first cycle on CBFM so there's going to be some refining BUT:

How long do you all take to switch over to Peak? Is this where I discover that I've got lazy ovaries which just can't be arsed to do their job properly?

I don't think either of us can face the prospect of BD every day for 20 days if the CBFM stays on high!

Rant over Grin

Sorry to burden you all with this. The calm voice in my head has now taken over and I know at this stage this stage I just need to give it time.

essenceofSES · 21/08/2010 20:54

Hello all!

Sorry for going AWOL, just lots been happening (including me falling down the stairs rather badly - oops!)

vnewmummy - so pleased to read your news Grin Grin Grin
Congratulations!

row - I'm often the same. I usually don't get any highs until CD15. Hope you get some highs soon though as I know how frustrating it is!

Missyraines - hope you did get at least some time to yourself on your week off?

Harry - yay for your scan too Grin

Lychees - fingers crossed for you. I'm hoping for you :)

Hello Boba , Vikks , Keziah , Angel , Storm , Tango , Starlet , choccie , Jenn , ljg , PinkCustard , Rosie and anyone else I've missed

Good luck and keep us updated. Grin Grin Grin

Harry Hope you're still doing well!

Who's next?

Missyraines · 20/08/2010 20:44

Wow, wow and thrice wow.

Massive, humungas and whopping congratulations to harry and vnewmummy

What better way to come back after my week off (looking after hubby's 8 year old which is NO holiday!) and to see the fantastic news.

My news is that I thought I wouldn't peak this month as it had gone past day 18 but I peaked on 22 and 23. WTF? Must be the lack of routine in my life. I got a new iphone and have a an app called femcal that allows me to put in my stats and tell me when i should get AF. it reckons day 35.

I also bought the baby-making bible that someone else on here bought (forgive me for not looking back to see) It is all very sensible and I am trying to follow what I can.

I can't say congratulations enough times but bloody well done you two. And you know what they say, things happen in threes!!!!

vnewmummy · 20/08/2010 18:24

Thanks Row and Angel and everyone else I may have missed.x

Row - Looking at your UCL day 12 showing low seems ok, I got 2 highs, 2 peaks then back to lows and have had months when it was low until day 14. FX a high is on its way for you. x

row78 · 20/08/2010 13:48

congratulations vnewmummy, I think I've already said congrats to harry but just in case not congrats!

day 12, still low fertility, bored of weeing on sticks that always come back negative now :(

Keziahhopes · 20/08/2010 13:31

Hi all,

It seems as though the ball is rolling boba so fingers crossed that this is the start of the (short) path to your BFP.

My BFP was the 1st August x

Lychees · 20/08/2010 10:56

Boba, sorry you didn't get to have the HSG as expected but it seems like your consultant is doing the right thing by getting you a scan as well as the HSG. It's just frustrating that they didn't tell you how to prep for the HSG in the first place. Not long until next Weds tho.

No sign of AF yet but I have gone to CD34 before but those times I got my peaks later in my cycle. Also, my(.)(.) are still really sore [more so than usual] so here's hoping. I'm not planning on POAS until I'm late though.

Hi everyone!

Boba thinking of you - fingers crossed as consultant you saw seems proactive xx

Hello to everyone else and great to hear all going well Harry xx

vnewmummy · 20/08/2010 09:01

Boba sorry things did not go as plan yesterday. I agree with Keziah and at least this guy seems to know what you need. I have had lots of scans and they really dont hurt and very informative. big hugs.

Rosie why dont you test first thing in morning when your wee will always be stronger?

Thanks girls for all your warm wishes. I have taken another test this morning and still BFP. (smile)

Keziahhopes · 19/08/2010 23:36

boba - sorry it wasn't what you expected, but maybe in the days ahead you will be able to feel the positives you mentioned and he definitely sounds proactive!

The ultrasound I found didn't hurt at all and really helps them look at health of ovaries and womb etc, so it sounds a good place to start.

Hug for you x

OMFG vnewmummy CONGRATULATIONS! Grin
I can't believe it, so so pleased for you!!

Lychees when you POAS?

SOrry AF got you ljg Sad

Hi to anyone I've missed.

Well today was a total waste of time. Basically consultant wouldn't do HSG as on CD101 & had unprotected sex in last 3 weeks. Even though I phoned them on Tues to confirm all this as appt only came through on Fri. I was pretty pissed off.

However this consultant said he didn't see the point in this 10 week urine sample thing and has arranged for me to go for ultrasound on Wed am and is gonna try his hardest to get me rebooked for HSG within 2 weeks (before my hols) He said hopefully after good look at ovaries via scan and then HSG they can then get on with things & hopefully I won't have to wait until Jan for follow up.

All in all it's maybe been for the best as he seems a bit more proactive although he said he'd have to talk to initial cons. first as doen't want to go behind his back.

So had to go to Boots on way home and stock up on condoms Blush, haven't had to do that in a long time!

Felt v. v. emotional/upset after hospital & still teary now. Didn't help that I saw about 100 pregnant women in hospital & on way home.

Onwards & upwards though girls, I hope these BFPs are contagious, we bloody well deserve them! x x

P.S. sorry for the mammoth post Blush

Hi ladies just updated my stats, got a TWP yesterday, but a bfn today followed by cramps and spotting tonight Sad.

hoping for a better month this time, sorry for the me, me and me post! will try harder next time! feeling a bit pants after getting my hopes up...again!.

Hope everybody is doing ok X

Keziahhopes · 19/08/2010 19:09

Ooh - fantastic news vnewmummy - so happy for you!

That is two bfp's on here after what seemed like ages with none - hope someone else soon x

rosieposey · 19/08/2010 18:01

Vnewmummy - i havent been on this thread very long but i know how long you have been trying and how it was all not going too well - am so pleased for you, thats fanstastic news Grin what a lovely surprise, congratulations!

Still no high on the cbfm but im not expecting one tbh - after the smiley opk i think it really did miss my surge (i have never tested positive in the morning on opks so im not sure how the cbfm works but maybe its the same for that) I am thinking that the next cycle when i set my M button i will set it at 3 in the afternoon and not drink much in the morning (try and hold every day for at least 4 hours) then test early afternoon and see what it throws up next month - im not sure if it really matters what time of day you test as long as you have fairly concentrate urine.

Storm - good luck with swi'ing tonight - lol i have done the same thing as well in the last couple of months, had a row with DH then told him he's not coming near me (when i really needed to swi as it was 'that time') and missed my crucial time - bloody men!

Lychees - lets hope that your sore boobs are a good sign, i only ever get them when i am pg so will keep everything crossed for you :)

Choccie - i have seen you on the charting thread too and you seem really fed up (understandably) i am so sorry its taking so long for you (and you too Keziahopes) its really frustrating - i am keenly aware that age is a factor and bricking it a bit as am 39 shortly and its not nearly so easy this time as it seemed to be just over two years ago, still i know i should feel very lucky and i do - i am really hoping some of that luck comes yours and Keziahope's way very soon - would love to hear that you got a bfp too.

Harry - thats fab news on the scan - its always a relief when you see the heartbeat, soon enough you will hear it too :)

Starlet22 · 19/08/2010 16:57

On the run but Harry - great news re scan and vnewmummy - fantastic news re BFP!! It has made my day Grin X

Harry2007 · 19/08/2010 15:04

Any news Boba?

Still smiling at your news vnewmummy (Harry still super emotional to the point of being ridiculous emoticon)

vnewmummy · 19/08/2010 14:41

Lychees, Harry and Storm thanks so much for all your well wishes. xxx

Lychees the only symptoms I have are tender boobs and I have felt really tired in the last week. To be honest feels just like TOTM. FX for you too hon. xx

I have just been out to buy 2 more tests so i can do them again tomorrow morning. Just to make sure!

Boba how did you get on today? Have been thinking about you.

StormBird · 19/08/2010 12:40

OMG I knew it and just shed a tear for you vnewmummy - I'm so pleased you got your BFP. I have my FX crossed that this will be a smooth PG for you. Grin

WELL DONE!

Harry2007 · 19/08/2010 12:21

Thanks for all the positive comments ladies Smile

Oh my gosh, I have my fingers tightly crossed for you vnewmummy. I have always been aware of how hard it is when things don't go your way babywise, but my latest chain of events has just emphasised how precious that initial BFP is (my super emotional pregnant state is in overdrive at the moment!) I really hope this works out for you xxxxxxxx
