Lychees · 24/05/2010 10:43

Morning All,

Wishing you a speedy recovery Keziah. The weather has been fantastic ... was brave and finally got the milk bottle legs out for a bit of air and sun .

Feeling surprisingly okay about AF's arrival this cycle although a BFP would have been great. DH went for SA on Friday so he'll be getting his results in a fortnight.

I have a feeling I will have to have more bloods done as my 21 day bloods may be misleading given that I had a 34 days cycle and my peak on CD18 and 19. So I am bearing this in mind.

I am thinking of going for a fertility MOT on Harley Street. In particular, they offer an ultrasound scan to check egg reserves etc and it cost £200 [without SA for DH] so I am starting to think that this is a price worth paying.

Not sure, vnewmummy but as Boba says, this can happen if you're pg [didn't Cupc4kes get all highs for ages before she discovered she was pg].

Hope everyone else is well this morning.

boba82 · 24/05/2010 09:41

Morning all

Keziah hugs to you hun, hope you are feeling better.

Lychees sorry for AF's arrival, good luck for your blood results.

vnewmummy that's exactly what happened to me last cycle when I didn't ovulate. FX that's not what's happened to you. Someone said earlier that it can sometimes indicate pregnancy? Hope it's the latter one for you

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend? What a difference it makes having the sunshine!

Morning - hi all hope you all enjoyed the fab weather this weekend.

I have had highs from day nine and today is day 20. My UCL is 28 days. Any idea why this might be? Do you think i just havent ovulated this month?

On cycle 1 and 2 I only had 2 highs followed by 2 peaks then 1 high before it went back to low.

???? x

sorry for any BFN's ... I have been in hospital for 2 days with bad chest infection (collapsing in out of hours dr's was not my best move) so been put on such strong antibiotics cannot try to conceive at same time as it affects bone development and teeth - so this month totally out (am coming up to high's in 2 days!) .... so going to concentrate on weight loss, reduce stress and get better.

Brief message from me as I am on DH's mobile. Back to CD1 today so of to the Dr's next week for my blood test results and to find out what our options are now. Hope everyone is well. Speak to you soon.

Thought I'd update the stats for today. Hope I've done it ok?!

Lychees & JustShaggy - sorry for BFNs. It's not over til she arrives though !

BabyHoping - well done on the stress management. I've downloaded the Couchto5K app today so one step nearer doing something more constructive!

Day 11 for me and still no highs. I think I always used to ovulate around day 16 so I guess it is too soon yet...

Gorgeous day. I had a pub lunch (and a Pimms!) out with my brother and his fiancee and caught the sun on my shoulder!

FlyingCat - sounds like it could be your month ahead. Fingers crossed!

FlyingCat · 21/05/2010 22:34

Oh Lychees, how disappointing. I sorry to hear that.

JustShaggy, it's never over til it's over - fingers crossed for you.

I'm back to the start again (Please can somebody put me back to day 2?). I think my usual cycle length is going to have to become ?? as I've gone completely haywire over last few months, after 30s for a while I've now had 36, 32, and now 26! I'm putting it down to continued weight loss. Who knows what normal is going to be from now on.

Well I'm now onto last cycle before our appointment with the fertility clinic and I'm hoping more than ever for this month. I'm at my healthiest for years and years, I've got a low stress month and both DH and I are on all the vitamins known to man. Somehow it feels like if we have to have help to conceive we will somehow have failed. Odd I know but there we go. So fingers tightly crossed that this is our month.

Wishing everyone a pleasant weekend. Hope everyone has weather as stunning as we're due to have here. Looks like time to crank up the barbeque at last.

vnewmummy · 21/05/2010 16:05

Sorry for your BFN Lychees. x

Shaggy - you made me lol. You sound a lot like me. I try to believe i have signs too. I know what you mean about the boobs! However, its only 10 DPO so maybe wait a few more days.

Day 17 for me and still no peak. 1st cycle was day 15, last cycle day 14 so I hope its on its way...All these highs are wearing me out.

Have a good weekend everyone xx

justshaggy · 21/05/2010 14:17

babyhoping Yaaay for the stress-relieving exercises. Take one day at a time and try not to worry ahead at what might happen next week or the week after. What will happen, will happen, whether you worry about it or not. If your head fills with next week worries, try shut them out by thinking back to how you felt when you were out with your DH having a good time.

Well, I did another test today - just had to....

10DPO and defo a BFN - no evaporation line. Logically, I know I'm not PG. Total absence of PG symptoms.

vnewmummy I'm trying to convince myself my breast are bigger and more sore than normal at this stage of my cycle ... but I tried that last month too and it didn't work out! It's actually the absence of nipple senstivity thats the big key . So I need to get a grip and hold off from any other tests until next week, if AF doesn't get me first.

Lychees Isn't it possibly still too early for you, ESPECIALLY if you are having queasy feelings? On my last PG I got loads of BFNs before finally a very very very faint BFP on 14DPO.

I know what you mean about feeling like you did everything right though ... my cycle was weird this month and my peaks come later, so DH and I BD'd 9 nights in a row because we kept thinking we must be close to peak!!! I drank lashings of grapefruit juice too and was almost swimming in pre-seed .. but zip, zero, nada PG symptoms. Damn and blast!!

BabyHoping · 21/05/2010 11:59

Justshaggy I just saw your post.... I do not want to give you any hopes... but that sounds like a positive... that also happened to me once and was a BFP in the end. Well try not to think too much about it and test in a few more days....

Boba I totally emphatize with you... my friends are starting to talk about going for second and scares me that they might have a second before I even get my first..

BabyHoping · 21/05/2010 11:53

Hi everyone!

This week I have been dedicating myself to manage stress a bit more and and I feel a bit better. I went for running wednesday and yesterday I managed to leave earlier from work and went with DH to do inline skating. It was great. Also I just went to the hairdresser and that is another thing that really relaxed me... lol Today I have a relaxing massage and this weekend I plan to go hiking.

Of course, with all this positive trials, had to happen something on work... I was staffed on a project, working a lot, and suddnely the client said they want to delay it... this is why I´ve been having more time during the last days but its also a big source of anxiety for me cause I do not know what will I be doing next week and with who... Well, we will see and in the meanwhile I will just take advantage in having more free time...

Morning Everyone, how are you all doing?

I finally poas a stick this morning and got a BFN . Not entirely surprised but feel really disappointed because I feel like we did everything right this cycle and at the right time.

So this means that DH is off to the hospital this morning for SA and I'm off to get my blood results next week. And I'm left wondering why I've been feeling so uncomfortable and queasy these last few days .

vnewmummy · 20/05/2010 16:31

Shaggy - try not to panic! I have been in your postition twice by doing tests too early but it is natural to test asap. Do you think your boobs could be a sign? That was the first thing I noticed. I had to chemical pregnacy in Nov & Dec last year.

It will drive you mad so if I were you I would test again tomorrow maybe?

Lychees good look for you too tomorrow....

justshaggy · 20/05/2010 15:03

Thanks Boba. But I know I'm not. In both PGs I got mega sympstoms that felt like anxiety - heart racing, hands shaking etc - not nice but impossible to miss. Apart from immense annoyance with myself, nothing like that at the moment at all. Boobs are bigger and tender - but they always are just before AF.

For the first time ever I have properly understood why early testing is a BAD idea. I usually don't get dissappointed by early -'ves because I tell myself they mean nothing because they're early . But this is different.

Not sure if I should test again.... What if I get a proper positive and its a chemical pregnancy? A BFN after 14DPO could be hard to take.

boba82 · 20/05/2010 14:50

Oh God shaggy really hope it's a definate BFP for you hun, FX! x

OP posts:
justshaggy · 20/05/2010 14:47

vnewmummy - I stupidly POAS today!! Aaaargh. An internet test, read within the recommended 5 mins, predictably showed up clearly negative (I expected this because I am only 9DPO and I haven't tested +'ve early in either of my previous PGs).

But an hour later I saw a faint line on it.

You can guess the rest.... evaporation line, or BFP...?

I am so annoyed with myself.

Up until now I have had a gut feeling that I was not going to get a BFP this month because I don't feel like I have PG symptoms ... and I was sort-of OK with that.

NOW, however, I am wondering ... what if it meant something I wasn't expecting....???

Common sense is out the window because exactly the same thing happened with my last PG in Dec .... a faint line which I only spotted when I fished the test out the bin some time afterwards to double check. Turned out to be BFP that didn't show up until well after the recommended time (but that was at 14DPO; all tests before then were -'ve).

So now my hopes are up when I really don't want them to be, and I'm queued for the big disappointment that my gut and cold-blooded dispassionate logic still tells me is coming my way.

... I'll defo be doing another tests over the next few days, if not tomorrow ...

boba82 · 20/05/2010 13:37

Oooh good luck Lychees, I will keep FX for a BFP for you hun.
