Hello Girls,

Its good to see a bit of positivity flying about. I hope it stays that way for a wee while.

Welcome Giraffemummy I hope you find posting on here helpful. Unfortunately I can't answer your questions as I am v. new to all this CBFM lark but I'm sure one of the girls will be able to help you out in some way.

Flyingcat - forgive me for being such a dumb blonde but what is a Hysterosalpingogram . When I say it I sound like I've had a skin full LOL. I'm so glad your feeling positive and that it all went well with the consultant. Fingers crossed you get that Sick Note for the SWIing. Sounds like a wicked idea.

I'm so jealous baby & vnewmummy that your off on your jolly's. Mine have been and gone. Went far too quickly if you ask me so enjoy every minute and let your hair down.

Hi Lychees - its a SHITE feeling isn't it! BIG HUG babe. I hope your ok. When I came out of hospital I couldn't look at another Pregnant woman, it used to make me feel sick to my stomach that they could have what I had taken away from me! I haven't had a colleague announce a PG yet but I'm dreading it cos I know it will happen at some point. But i did go through a very trying time emotionally when the day after I came out of hospital I was back there, on the Maternity Ward visiting my new Nephew and SIL. But I had to make myself do it cos I knew I had to get over it. You'll be ok honey!

X

giraffemummy · 24/06/2010 17:41

Hello ladies,

Frequent lurker but newbie at posting.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

We have been TTC no.2 for 6 cycles now. Always v. regular cycles lasting between 25-26 days with consistent 14 day LP.
Use CBFM last 4 months and always get high, peak, peak then high on days 10-13 without fail.

Last month had bad cramps at 9dpo, like period coming a week early and exhausted. AF still then came at normal time. Thought nothing of it as have had hopes high before.

Then this month day 13 and still lows on CBFM. Temping and temp still not risen. Normally rises on Day 13/14.

Any ideas what is causing this??

boba82 · 24/06/2010 15:10

That sounds really positive Flyingcat, good to hear about a good NHS experience too. Making me excited to see a consultant now!!

Where are you off to Baby?

I really feel for you Lychees and isn't it? DH actually admitted to me that he's wary to tell me of people's pregnancies now as I get so upset. My BF in RL is trying for her second & I'm actually dreading she falls pregnant before me (which lets face it is likely) as I don't know if I'll handle it. Organise after work drinks and revel in your wine!!

A colleague announced her pregnancy today. It's like having my first day of AF all over again. I've forgotten my mobile so I can't call DH and he doesn't really know how I'm feeling anyway. Only you lovely ladies know. I'm trying not to let it get me down but it's hard.

FlyingCat, glad your appointment went well and the consultant was nice and you have some new found optimism.

BabyHoping · 24/06/2010 08:33

Flyingcat that old fashioned treatment seems quite nice! I would love a few weeks off right now as I´m completely exhausted... But I will have vacations in August so less that 6 weeks to go!

FlyingCat · 23/06/2010 18:35

Helloo all

about time I sent a positive post - looking back it seems I've only posted on here when a bit miserable. Ho hum, not so today. Onto better and brighter times!

Keziah you are clearly stronger than I am. I would have been so cross with MIL (Despite probably well meant)

If you (like me) are working on weight for fertility treatment criteria I can thoroughly recommend the boot camp I went on back in April - I've just rebooked for another go in August before I see consultant again.

Had first fertility appointment today and very impressed with consultant who was nice and explained everything to us in words of one syllable necessary given I've been so nervous I can't think straight!

DH has a simple semen analysis test again, mine is rather more in depth it seems (seems truly unfair that I get all the work!) I'm booked in for pelvic ultrasound, Hysterosalpingogram and more bloods - turns out GP didn't do mine on the right day in first tests so might be ovulating OK all along. All that and then back to see him (same doctor again!!!) in 10 weeks.

Well it's left me all hopeful and bouncy about this finally happening for us. Something about a nice sunny day off work and England finally winning a world cup match has left me optimistic I think!

A final word though, consultant mentioned as we were chatting that an old fashioned treatment for men suspected of poor fertility was to give them a sick note from work for a week or two and send them home for SWIing accompanied by long lie ins sounds like a plan to me when DH complains he just hasn't got the energy for the millionth time!

vnewmummy · 23/06/2010 17:16

Hi - my new name is xxx only kidding!

Girls you are all fab, v funny and supportive.

Here's to us!

I go on holiday on Sunday for 2 weeks and expecting AF next Tuesday. Will let you know before I go as will POAS on Sunday!

I never learn!

xx

Have changed your name on stats Storm.

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 23/06/2010 15:46

Hi Everyone

Its TTCbabyNo1 - I've added in my RL nickname so you can refer to me as Storm from now on. I cant get used to the TTCbaby name I gave myself plus its not really a name is it, seeing as we are all TTCing!!!!!

Anyhoo.....

Sorry bout the AF Lychees & chocciechip - time to start all over again. Its good that your feeling optimistic though Lychees. Keep up with the PMA.

Keziah - your a better woman than me.... I'd have made my MIL eat that book!!

Boba i have to second your comment regarding how supportive you find everyone on here. I too, have some really good friends in RL, but its totally different being able to offload all your thoughts on here. People can symathise with you until they are blue in the face but empathy is hard to come by and in my experience I generally feel like people get fed up listening to me in RL. I've only been on here a few days but I already feel like a weight has been lifted knowing I can talk to you guys and get advice from you. For that I thank you all.

Has anyone got a sick Bucket?? LOL! (JOKE)

I've got a good feeling someone will get a BFP soon.

Back to CD1 for me, too. Sorry, AF got you too, Chocciechip.

I always feel really down when AF first arrives then things look different in the morning after a sleep. Feeling optimistic that it will be my turn soon.

Would love to have more BFPs on here though as it gives me hope so good luck to everyone.

Any sign of AF yet Lychees? Don't think I'll be far behind you

Gonna sound sooo soppy now but I'm really, really glad I have you guys for support. I have really good friends in RL but no-one in similar situation to me. It's just a relief to be able to share experiences and to off load to lovely ladies who understand. Big hugs and kisses to you all x x

Keziahhopes · 23/06/2010 00:11

Hello choccie chip - thanks for info on name change!

Boba - yes, my MIL sent me a 35yr old (or older?) book on the stages of pregnancy having being told by her son there were problems of infertility with both of us! Well, better than my Mum's response I guess, which was ignoring me - I think

Hey great news on your 1st high TTCbaby - and like boba said, I found my dh preferred it if I didnt tell him I had a high/peak - took a bit of time to change my mentality there, but I make sure I don't miss them usually now (every other day for us due to low sperm numbers for dh) - though 8 high's in a row is a record for me, and no peak, sigh.

A positive post - like chocciechip posted, have been working on my healthy diet, joined a pilates class once a week and have lost enough weight to reduce my BMI by 2, so getting towards healthier!

Babyhoping - I have booked myself an aeromatherapy massage this week - hope it has same outcome as your needles. Thanks for hugs, kind.

BabyHoping · 22/06/2010 18:15

Hi justshaggy! It will be harder to remember your new name...

Congrats on the high ttcbabyno1 Keziah lots of hugs to you...

BabyHoping · 22/06/2010 18:11

Hi everyone!
I have not been posting much as I have been working super intensely again... But here go my news:

I did not get a peak this month... In the last days I have been having lots of symptoms like AF is getting ready to come. Nothing much different than last months so i´m just calmly waiting for it. Also m is flashing in the monitor. Not sure if I have ovulated or not... hope I did

Did my fist acunpunture session last friday. It was great, I left feeling really ZEN and I think I´m a bit less stressed. It was a bit hard when I was there, maybe I´m sensitive, but they put in total 9 needles, 6 on the legs (did not hurt at all) and other 3 in hands and in the midlle of the chest. This ones where quite unconfortable and hurted when twiked... Anyway, I will for sure do more sessions.

chocciechip · 22/06/2010 17:22

Me too lychees

BTW - I've name changed because I think someone has outed me in RL. Used to be justshaggy.

Lychees · 22/06/2010 17:01

Missyraines · 22/06/2010 13:22

TTCbabyNo1 lots of us didn't get a peak on cycle one so don't fear if you don't get one this cycle. I did worry a bit but it's just the monitor getting used to you. I have however had peaks from cycle 2 onwards.

My updated stats are now

if whoever is kind enough would update for me.

Hi Everyone,

I'm back again - god I feel addicted to this website already!!

You will never belive this - Trust me to ask the Question about when I'm most likely to see a high and then get one the next. Yes thats right, I got my very first ever high this morning. I actually got a little excited and then had to bring myself back down to earth again.

I told my DH and he was happy that we finally got a high. I think he's slightly worried though that I'm only going to want to get jiggy with him when the monitor says so!! How do you handle that???
