Harry sorry to ask and maybe not a great idea on this thread but did they give an explaination for the bleeding?

I am 6 weeks today and started to spot last night, still light but gone from brown to red. I am so worried I cant think straight....

vnewmummy · 03/09/2010 16:56

Harry thats great news. You must be so relieved. A holiday is a great idea. I agree with you - paying always seems to be worth it when it puts your mind at rest. I might explore staying private if NHS dont give me what I need.

essence sometimes it helps to have a break. The CBFM seems to give you peaks so maybe wait until next time.

I have an early scan booked for next wednesday morning.

Have a good weekend everyone else and enjoy the weather xx

essenceofSES · 03/09/2010 16:33

Harry - fantastic news! The odds are so much more in your favour having seen the hb and great growth :)

row - have a hug. Hope it's your month next.

Lychees - enjoy your shopping :)

Boba - so sorry you've come up against a delay. I'm sure once your Dr is back you'll get some answers and progress.

vnewmummy - yay for early scan! Have they given you a date yet?

I'm out for this month. To cut a long story short, DH and I have both been feeling under pressure with all sorts going on in RL and so no GOF but some good progressive chats. We have agreed that we still want to ttc now but this just wasn't our month. It probably didn't matter though as although CBFM gave me some highs and a couple of peaks, my temps suggest that I tried to ovulate but didn't :(

Hello ljg, Starlet, Storm, Keziah, emmylou and anyone else lurking :)

Hope you all have great weekends - I intend to as it's my brother's wedding tomorrow :) At least with no chance of this month, I'll be able to enjoy a few drinks :)

Lychees · 03/09/2010 16:14

That's great news Smile, Harry.

ljg72 · 03/09/2010 16:10

Fantastic news HarrySmile

Lychees since I read your 5 day past ov advice...I'm going to give it a go! got to be worth a shot Grin, good luck to you 2!

Hello to everybody else! hoping to see lots of BFP very soon Wink

Keziahhopes · 03/09/2010 15:19

What wonderful news Harry! Will you stay private throughout all your care now? That holiday and time off work sounds just what you need!

Lychees - hug for you too. Ok, so this month am going to not start BDing so early so we can do 5dpo (as have always given up by then!)... worth a try and dh abroad with work so can't bd until cd14 at earliest anyway, so good excuse Smile

boba82 · 03/09/2010 15:13

Brilliant news Harry, so so pleased for you Grin x x

Scan was fantastic - going private is well worth the money! The screen was 50 inches!

And the good news is that all is well with the baby. Heart was fluttering away and the crown to rump length was 16.2mm compared to 8.8mm a week ago. I know it's still tiny but the growth rate is amazing!

I actually slept last night, the first time for ages. I've slept for the majority of the day so far too! Doctor has also signed me off work and dp has booked us a 5 star hotel in menorca for a week - flying next Friday. I'm soooooooooo looking forward to it.

Thank you so much for all the positive thoughts xxx

row78 · 03/09/2010 13:47

good luck lychees, I don't think I could keep going 5 DPO! Have a wonderful day on saturday and spoil yourself and do lots of things you can't do once you have a newborn screaming at you (positive thinking) :-)

emmy, each mopnth I spot I try to convince myself it's implantation bleeding (including when I was trying for my son) so I have to face facts that it isn't. The one time I have been pregnant I never spotted.

Morning all.

Sorry about spotting/possible arrival of AF Row78.

I got my first peak this morning [early one again] so getting my Pre-seed out ready for a week long of BDing ... this is going to be tiring, keeping going until 5DPO!!

I find that during this journey, your emotions are really up and down. At the moment, I'm feeling okay. I'm having a shopping day with my sister on Sunday and determined to come back with something for myself for once. And the lovely weather here is really helping the general good mood.

Hugs to everyone feeling low at the moment.

row78 · 02/09/2010 22:20

oh and I'm just about starting to have some cramps.

pah

row78 · 02/09/2010 22:19

boba - sorry to hear the HSG didn't go as planned, you build yourself up and then you don't get the answer. Don't worry though, they can do it again.

harry hope the scan went well, fingers crossed.

lychees I think you should go and see a counsellor and have a good old rant, I always feel better after one but ranting about such matters is hard to friends.

I'm on a bit of a downer, I've started to spot tonight. I usually spot 3 days before period so this is a bit early, plus I thought my cycle would be longer this month as the earliest I could have ovulated (first peak) was CD16, and I suspect I actually ovulated after that. Anyway if I do go straight into AF then at least we can have another go at it all before our holiday (sharing room with son, so no chance of nookie then), though now worried that my luteal phase is too short or I have a progesterone problem (I do like to analyse everything)

vnewmummy · 02/09/2010 16:38

Boba sorry you have to wait yet again. I agree with Keziah that although it doesnt feel like it now all this information put together will build a picture of what can and cant be achieved. You are getting there, even if it does not feel like it.x Do you have to go to this baby shower thing tomorrow? Throw a sick day.??? You are doing so well, its only a week since they told you you had PCOS and that in itself takes a while to get your head around it. Dr Duncan will sort you out -I promise. Big hugs

Harry hope the scan goes well, do let us know how you get on xx

Starlet22 · 02/09/2010 15:15

Thanks Keziah.

Boba - sorry to hear about the HSG not going as planned. Am sure when your consultant gets back he will put you at ease and then be able to carry it out under general anaesthetic. I've never heard that the size of the womb would cause problems with getting pregnant - as Keziah says - perhaps you will just need a helping hand with something like IUI. As for your feelings, you are certainly not alone and should feel free to rant and rave on here as much as you like. I have sympathy for you going to a baby shower tomorrow (why are they becoming more popular over here??!!). My SIL fell PG within months of getting married and she is one of the most sickliest (is that a word?!) people I know. I on the other hand, haven't had a sick day from work for years, yet my body is not functioning right inside whereas hers is! Not logical and am of course jealous. Sigh.

Lychees - if your clinic offers the counselling for free then perhaps you should give it a go? It might make you feel better, even if it's just to have a moan at someone! Good luck if you decide to pursue that.

Apparently this week is the last guaranteed sunshine of the year - can you believe that??!!

Keziahhopes · 02/09/2010 14:34

Harry - so sad to hear how you were treated, but pleased you have found a solution!

Vnewmummy - early scan and more rest, v exciting!!

Boba - I got very like you sound, as you may have guessed from my previous posts - and it was around the middle of my testing too. It is good they going to do HSG under general. I would not have thought it an issue for conception - but if so, then IUI may be the answer? It might be frustrating right now, but it might be the identifying of the problem which is halfway to getting the solution and baby - hug for you.

Starlet - basically menevit has different contents to wellman - if you "google" the two products and compare them you will see. Menevit has:
usual vitamins plus

  • zinc 25mg, folic acid 500ug, vitamin E 400IU, lycopene 6mg, garlic oil 333ug, selenium 26ug.
Lychees · 02/09/2010 14:17

Boba, sorry that the HSG didn't go as planned. My consultant said to me that the HSG was done under local or general anaesthetic which, I guess, means that it's not rare for someone to have to go under general. Not that it's going to help you. I hope that next week brings good news for you.

On another note, you are not alone in your feelings. I can't bear to see my younger brother and his family at the moment. They are expecting #3 [already have a 4yo and 20 month old]. They're generally smug anyway and I just can't be in their company at the moment.

I had a look into counselling at my lowest point so far and wondered whether it might be quite good to talk to someone about things [my clinic offers free counselling so I think it is quite an important issue to address, too as well as all the physical things]. Here is a website I came across, I don't know the cost or whether their is a free alternative:

www.bica.net/

It really helps to have you ladies to turn to for support but I think it would help to actually "talk" to a professional.

Harry good luck for your scan tonight.

Hi All!

boba82 · 02/09/2010 12:04

Not great news from me. They tried to do HSG but had to give up after 30 mins as neck of my womb too narrow. Dr Duncan away until next week but they reckon I'll have to have it done under general. Only spoke to radiologist & nurse so no indication if this is bad news re getting pregnant etc. They are going to give him my notes and get him to contact me when he gets back. Therefore wasn't given ovulation tablets either so I'm totally gutted Sad

I know I'm not even half way down the road some of you lovely ladies but I really feel close to breaking point. I feel disappointed at every turn. Having uz to talk to is a God send as I have no-one in RL that would understand. Feel totally inadequate as a 'woman' right now. Don't know how the f&*k I'm going to cope at this babyshower tomo? I hate feeling this upset, angry and jelous all at the same time!

harry good luck for your scan tonight, I really hope everything is ok hun x x

Lychees Smile on the high, get BDing!

Sorry for the self pity post BTW Blush

Thanks for the empathy ladies x

Lychees · 01/09/2010 20:54

Just a quick one.

Harry, the way you've been treated is just terrible! I hope you have the reassurance soon that everything is okay.

Boba, good luck for tomorrow. Let me know how it goes.

Hi everyone else!

First high this cycle for me.

Will catch up with you all soon.

boba82 · 01/09/2010 19:49

Thanks starlet, so far so good with me & NHS so hope you'll find the same.

vnewmummy When's your scan? I'm positive all will be fine for you hun, chill! x x x

Harry that's absolutely shocking! I really hope everything is ok hun. FX for you and hopefully you can get seen by someone tomorrow. I would complain too.

vnewmummy · 01/09/2010 19:08

Hi Harry I am so angry at the way they have done nothing at all to help. Angry That is disgusting.

Hon I know the private place will take good care of you, I am thinking of you so much and cant imagine how you must feel. xx

Hello everyone else! gosh lots going on and hard to catch up after a long weekend away.

Seen my GP yesterday who is fantastic and she has booked me in an early scan to put my mind at rest that things are as they should be. She give me so much information and another 2 weeks off work. Yee haa! No complaints there!

I still feel really nervous and expect something to go wrong and cant really sleep as a result of it. I am happy one minute and panic sets in the next!

Take care everyone xx

Starlet22 · 01/09/2010 18:31

Hi Keziah - do you know what the main difference is between the Wellman and the MENEVIT? Am curious to know .... X
