That's good news vnewmummy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry AF arrived, Storm. I don't chart but I'm think a few of the other ladies on here do or have done.

ljg, I've heard of BFPs occuring when bd only happened on the first peak day so it can definitely happen.

Happy birthday or belated birthday wishes, BabyHoping.

Evening, everyone else.

It's been a tough day. My [g colleague was talking about hearing her baby's heartbeat and asked me about best time to take maternity leave. Then, I find out a ex-colleague who I supported through her difficult pregnancy about two or three years ago but who started ignoring my calls etc, cancelling on me etc when her first baby arrived [i.e. she froze me out] is now 20 weeks pregnant with #2.

I'm trying hard to let these things go over my head but you can't help but let it affect you.

I'm about 3dpo but have been stressed out at work and home so already think that we can't possibly have done it this month. PMA is dwindling today. can anyone give me a boost, please?

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 09/07/2010 21:34

Good Luck for this month vnewmummy Glad the Clomid is working for you hun.

Does anyone here chart their temperature? I'm interested in finding out a bit more about it but wouldn't know where to start....any advice. What exactly does charting your temp achieve? Is there any point in doing this as well as using the CBFM.

Thanks guys xx

vnewmummy · 09/07/2010 17:47

Storm - sorry AF got you. I would set it as day 1 tomorrow. If you ovulate before you get to end of test sticks I think 9 will be fine.

Girls, today I went for a gyno scan to check out follicle growth and to see if clomid 100mg is working. It is! However this is the 2nd time that the scan shows I have just ovulated but only got highs on CBFM. I am not convinced peak days are peak days? I think it is a couple of days before peak if that makes sense.

The good news is I have good chance this month so FX!

Have a good weekend - enoy the sun xx

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 09/07/2010 16:58

Like effin Clockwork I'm telling ya, AF arrived today!!! What dya know! and I have to be honest and say I was kinda convinced, I'd been doing all the positive thinking and everything. So it got here at about 10am - I'll set my mnitor in the morning but not sure if it should be set to day 1 or 2? Any advice?
Still feel really dizzy though......WHY? I know you can fabricate symptoms when your desperate but I'm not kidding, I had every symptom like I did last time apart from sore boobs. Never Mind, onwards and upwards!

So here's the new stats, I've put myself back to day 1, depending on the advice it may still be day 1 tomorrow too.

Hi Brewster. Just make sure you do everything it asks of you to give it a good chance to learn your cycle.

Storm, it all sounds very promising [perhaps not the windiness specifically] . Good Luck.

Brewster · 08/07/2010 20:31

Hi I am new here!
Just started using my monitor!

any advice?

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 08/07/2010 20:19

Evening All,

Hi giraffemummy Day 27 for me too, think my sore tummy today was trapped wind cos when I got in the car to come home from work I couldn't stop farting LOL (TMI I know) but I was making myself laugh!!! Good job I didn't have to give anyone a lift!! Don;t really have any AF symptoms, not like I would usually do and I'm due on tomorrow?

chocciechip don't you worry about me hun, I've got ooodles of will power (for some unknown reason) when it comes to testing. Even gave one of my tests away today, turns out it was a BFN for my friend. We even tried to come up with ways to make it a BFP like warming it in her cleavage or spitting on it or just drawing another red line - how we laughed......

xx

Lychees · 08/07/2010 20:00

Hi Ladies,

Welcome ljg.

Sorry AF got you vnewmummy and Starlet.

We're on the move this weekend so will shortly be without the internet [what will I do with myself!?!] until next Thursday.

So hoping that I'll be coming back to at least one BFP announcement on here. It won't be me just yet as I am only a few days into the 2ww and won't test unless I am v. late.

Been looking at private fertility clinics as I've found out that the waiting lists around my area for appointments at the fertility clinic are very very long. Hopefully, it won't come to that. Come on lucky 9.

Good luck all.

Hello ladies,

Haven't been on for a while as couldn't get on the computer but don't have anything to report yet anyway, just bumbling along on boring old day 7.

Good luck giraffemummy and Storm I find the few days before AF due the most stressful so keeping my fingers crossed for you both.

x

giraffemummy · 08/07/2010 14:19

hello all,

What a lovely supportive thread this is. Despite being day 27 not really ready to test yet as ovulated 4 days later than normal for some reason this month. Always ovulate day 11/12 but looks like it was day 16/17 this month. On the plus side had a transvaginal ultrasound on Day 20 which showed lots of follicles and a corpus luteal cyst and a good endometrial thickness.

Have given husband all pregnancy tests and told him to hide them so trying to hold off til at least next Wednesday. Not very hopeful this month though......nothing seems particularly different. After 6 months TTC I wonder if I will really notice anything if/when I do eventually get pregnant!

Good luck to those at the top of the stats list

chocciechip · 08/07/2010 14:13

Sneaking on when I should be wroking....

lychees, No - my CBFM doesn't ask for ten sticks every cycle and rarely asks me to test again after second peak . It usually automatically puts in the high after second peak. Last cycle I only used 6 sticks. This cycle its still asking me to test even though I've had my peaks, so I'm a bit confused by it.

Does anyone know if the CBFM can detect two two LH surges in a cycle? I'm not actually sure I ovulated after my peaks this time...?

keziah I'm glad the HSG went well. It isn't pleasant, is it, but not as bad as I feared it would be. And thanks for the advice re NICE guideline. I hadn't thought of that. x

cyncan I really admire your strength and attitude.

Welcome back vnewmummy and fingers crossed for you. I think DH and I are heading for those chats too .. I'm not ready to confrotn childlessness though, finding it hard

boba Are you and your DH talking yet?

storm Hold your nerve!

Welcome ljg

Well I'm over my bad day now, just trying to have a half decent one today, but my tummy is very sore, I'm super tired today and I think AF is looming. Booo. Oh well what can I excpect eh 1st month of trying and 1st month using CBFM.....

My HPT's arrived in the post this morning but I'm definately not using them til Sunday is AF hasn't arrived, I promise!!

Storm, sorry to hear you had such a bad day today. I am living through my sister-in-law's pregnancy and it's rather painful, although maybe because it's family, I am also extremely excited for them (and eager for them to try everything out first so I can get hand-me-downs and learn from their experiences ).

Keziah glad to hear everything went well. Also, you never know, you may get lucky this cycle or the next what with increased changes of getting BFP after HSG.

Hi vnewmummy - glad you had a good holiday. Hope you are feeling nice and rested.

Now to do some work.....

Morning everyone

Welcome ljg72 and welcome back vnewmummy glad you had a good holiday, you never know maybe the sun & relaxation will have worked its magic

Keziah glad it went well honey, onwards and upwards eh?!

Storm Hope you had a nice wine after that day!

Got print out of DH's results. Low numbers of normal forms and quite a low count of grade A & B also. After some googling I'm not too worried as like Keziah was saying it seems lots of things can affect result and it will be repeated by clinic. Just a waiting game now. Kind of made up with DH but I think pressure of us both having problems now is causing us to bicker a LOT. Roll on this holiday!

Hi everyone, im back from hols. I missed you all and although i have not had a chance to read any of your posts yet I will tomorrow!

As you can see I got another BFN and it is cycle 5 fpr CBFM.(16 months all together) I have mentioned this before but this is our last month of trying.

The holiday helped and we have talked about what we will do if it doesnt happen but I think were almost ready to move on. I think my main problem is my age - 41.

Saying all of that i have not given up hope just yet!

Had lots of lovely wine, food and sun so nice and chilled out!

Catch up soon xxx

Hi ljg

Storm - sorry for that day ...it is so hard when finding out people pregnant - I saw someone at work today and thought "you are pg"... not getting any easier!

HSG done -good news, no issues there. Wasn't pleasant, but people lovely. Got home to find out my apt with fertility dr got delayed, to when am on hol, so had to change - yet again. But apart from chlaymdia all tests done now -problems with both of us, so hope some treatment now offered!
