Sorry about your bad day, Rosieposey.

I'm having a lazy day today. I can't be bothered with more unpacking and DIY. I've lost all motivation today and just want to veg out.

Work is going to get really busy in the next few months with people on holidays and I have used much of my holiday allowance on sorting out house stuff . And I only have a few days left which I am saving for Christmas. The thought of the next few months with no days off is yuck!

I'm hoping to be cheered up with some good news on the ttc front. That will put me in a good mood, no end.

Hope everyone else is okay today.

PinkCustard · 18/07/2010 14:05

Oh no Rosieposey what a rubbish start to the day for you! On the brighter side though at least you've Ov-ed and got busy at the right time

I'm on my 2nd Peak day today, which I'm pleased about, but had a bit of brown-ish blood yesterday which I've never had before. Does anyone know what this could be? Thought it could possibly be a sign of ovulation? Although was Peak Day1, and I assumed the 2nd Peak Day was more likely to be when ovulation happened (but what do I know?!)

hello to everyone

rosieposey · 17/07/2010 17:45

Hello ladies, hope you are all doing ok,

Had a rubbish start to my day today, got a letter in the post from crappy estate agent that we let go after 8 months of not marketing our house properly and never getting in touch. When we went with them they did a HIP pack and didnt say anything about having to pay for it, naturally we assumed that given that we had kept them on for so long and they had been so crap that that would be the end of it when we terminated our contract with them - nope they wrote to us demanding £500 this morning, which is rubbish as we are so broke at the moment. Then opened another letter and its from the Welsh police saying i had been caught speeding in an average speed camera area on the motorway FGS i never speed - clean licence for 16 years! Must have been not far over the 50 mph anyway thats a worry as im not sure how much the fine will be - gah bloody bad luck comes in threes though so im shitting myself about Monday!

On a better note though i have had a weird one today, last month i didnt think i ovulated and tested with opk's up until day 19 as ive never ever gone past day 16 i thought this month was a no show for ovulation as well however this morning (day 23!) i had some ecwm and did a quick test and sure enough CB opk digi gave me a .

My cycle must be all over the place and im going to need all 20 of those (and possibly more) CBFM sticks that i bought to go with my CBFM. I dont know whats going on, have had a bit of stress recently but i have never ever had ov this late before and i can only think that this is what happened last month as my cycle length was 33 days long - now i am worried that if i am starting to ov this late in my cycle that my luetal phase will be way too short

Anyway, did the neccesary this morning after the so you never know, but im not worried anyway as will be starting to use the CBFM as of day 1 next cycle and if that doesnt help me to concieve nothing will.

I didnt post my CD as i thought that i had not ov'ed this month (and im not starting the fertility monitor till next cycle) but as it seems i might have today (or tomorrow) ill add my cycle day to the stats. Phew! sorry about the essay, it does help to have a moan though

Morning Everyone

Thats great news about your appointment Boba

Lychees we'll get a BFP on here soon, I'm sre of it!

vnewmummy Good luck for the 2WW I have everything crossed for you.

Well I've just woken up from the best sleep EVER.......which is probably down to the fantastic Spa day I was treated to yesterday. I felt like I was a bit P**sed when I walked out of there last night. It was amazing, I'm so relaxed and my skin feels lush.

Hope you have a lovely weekend everyone .

XXX

bessie26 · 16/07/2010 21:47

many thanks vnewmummy - I think I may just have to go for it... I hid some money away about 8 years ago (when I was single) to put towards IVF should I need it, so perhaps now is the time to dip into it...

vnewmummy · 16/07/2010 21:38

Bessie I dont mind at all - approx £1200 to have all checks, scans etc carried out. I found out in just 1 month how both mine and my DH fertility was.

Mad thing is that were both ok, everything looks good but its just not happening. They sem to think it will!

It is highly unlikely that NHS will help as I was told if you are over age 35 you nearly almost turned down. (I must add as I dont want to upset anyone that that is my own personal experience)

Lychees glad your move went well hon.

Boba great news on your apt, what will they be doing? How is the accupunture going? Im off for my first session next Thursday.

Have a great weekend everyone xx

bessie26 · 16/07/2010 21:02

hi,

apologies for butting in like this, but I have a terribly rude question to ask vnewmummy ... how much (ish) do the fertility tests etc cost private?
We've been TTC #2 for over a year now & have had 2 MC. I've been bugging my new Dr for tests as I really don't want to wait another year to have another MC as I will then be pushing 39. She has said she will try to get me referred, but warned me that as I've got pg twice recently, they are likely to refuse. So I'm thinking that perhaps I should just go private NOW rather than waiting months for the NHS to refuse me...

for those who were asking about charting, i find it really useful. (although my CBFM tells me my body is gearing up to O, only my temps & CM will tell me if it's actually happened) - do come over to the charting thread and quiz us about it!

vnewmummy · 16/07/2010 15:34

Girls - it was the best thing I have done going private and I also use NHS for some things like blood tests and a couple of scans to keep cost down. Time is not on my side due to age so we didnt really have much choice.

I am now on my 2WW and as this is my last month of trying I am trying not to think about it all the time!

At work so had better get off this and catch up later!

xx

Morning All.

Fantastic news on your appointment, Boba. That's less than two weeks away!

Slowly unpacking at home but hoping to get a whole load done this weekend. Although my new wardrobes [to replace my rickety cheap Ikea ones] do not arrive for another two weeks so we have to live out of bin bags for a bit longer [how glamorous!?!]

Nothing to report on ttc front although feel exactly the same as previous months so not holding out much hope.

Since vnewmummy reported how quickly she got her tests done by going private, me and DH have been giving it some serious thought. We just need to get on an even keel money-wise and then see what we can afford.

Starlet22 · 15/07/2010 17:28

Boba, great news re your appointment! You'll have to let us know how that goes.

Hope moving house hasn't been too stressful,Lychees.

Glad you got some time in with your hubby, misseyraines.

Chocciechip did you get your results in the end?

Hi to everyone else, hope all are well?

boba82 · 15/07/2010 14:39

Hi Lychees, god don't you at all in moving, it's so stressful isn't it? Hopefully the new house is worth it?

Got a phonecall from clinic today saying they had a cancellation so we've got an appointment on Wed 28th July!

I thought and wished that whe I got back here I would see that the graduate list had grown .

Been offline for a while due to house move. Mad hectic, boxes everywhere, can't find a thing ... the usual.

I still don't have internet at home so I am on at work in my lunch hour.

Welcome RosiePosey.

Good news on the tests, vnewmummy and Starlet.

Well done on the weight loss, Keziah.

Hope these two/three weeks go fats for you, Boba so that you will have that appointment date in no time.

Hello everyone else who I have not name checked. Hope you are all well.

No cycle day yet Storm i dont think, ive joined with another 11 days to go till AF but didnt think it was worth putting a cycle day as i havent been using CBFM and will start as soon as AF arrives, added to this, DH and i were camping with the kids when i was supposedly fertile this month (although opks said no ovulation) so no SWI'ing around that time, so im pretty sure unless there there is a miracle that i cant be pg this month, will go all out next month though

Morning All

I think AF has packed her bags for good this cycle for me. She really gets on my nerves when she visits....

Well did my first Temp this morning got a 35.88 centigrade - Is that Normal? Is it not a bit low??

Rosie have reposted todays stats but we don't know what CD your on hun...?? Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one who's AF takes a wee nap!

Have a good day everyone

xxx

rosieposey · 14/07/2010 15:27

Storm i get that although not usually for a whole day more like half a day, every month i think hmmmm i must be done extra early this month then it comes back for another three days.

Well my monitor arrived this morning, i have been reading the manual avidly and i really really hope it helps things along.

Number 5 isnt as many as it sounds, my first three are all girls and quite grown up now. I remember saying when i was 34, 'i had my last baby at 25, and that seems so young' but that was 4 years ago and in that time i met my lovely DH after being single for so long and had my DS, just cant help myself and would like just one more so that DS doesnt grow up with 4 mothers lol! Eldest DD is 18 in 3 weeks, DD2 is 15 and DD3 is 13 so there is definately room for one more (and we moved after DS so have lots of rooms and bathrooms now ).

Im loving the sound of the acupuncture, i might give it another 6 months and try that as well, i can really hear my clock ticking now. I am on Metformin for type 2 diabetes and i have heard that can help you conceive, not sure if it works for everyone though maybe only ladies with PCOS. My DD1 was diagnosed with PCOS 2 months ago after months and months without AF - the scan and blood tests showed the results clearly so she is on the pill now for that, no doubt she will have to go on Metformin if and when she decides to have a baby.

Whew mammoth post! I agree with Storm though, will be great to see some BFP's Always makes me warm inside.

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 14/07/2010 14:27

C'MON GIRLS....time for a BFP!!!!

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 14/07/2010 13:47

Hello Everyone,

The BBT thermometer just arrived so will start to chart from tomorrow morning!

Period disappeared all day yesterday and has just returned with avengence (TMI sorry). this IS normal for me though, I tend to have a gap in my AF for a day and then she reappears - does this happen to anyone else??

Baby weather wasn't so bad here this morning but its looking pretty grim at the moment - Whats happened to the sun??? Definately think rain is on the cards for us this afternoon.

Boba Baby - Sounds like these acupuncture sessions are worth it - may look into it, although DH will probably see it as just another excuse to indulge!!

Missy fingers are crossed that you caught this month hun xx

Well I have a jam packed afternoon ahead of me with meeting after meeting so must dash.

xxx

boba82 · 14/07/2010 13:17

Baby I find it so relaxing too and having a weekly session has definately reduced my anxiety levels. Just waiting on AF arriving so we can start working on fertility issues too!

I'm sooo of all your tests baby, hope it works out for you this month hun x

Hi everyone,

Boba my acunpuntire sessions are going very well. I find it a bit unconfortable and it hurts a bit when they puth the neddles, specially the ones on the hands, but I so much love the results that I don´t mind. I´m much more relaxed and the technician told me that if I feel relaxed already we can work on a fertility treatment to boost it. Let´s see... Oh, I only go once a week, at the end of the day on friday so its easy to fit in my schedule.

Starlet I have beeb BDing and will go back on monday to the doctors office to check my progesterone levels. At least this month I feel that they are looking for everything!

Hi peeps

Thanks for asking how I got on. Phoned dept @ hospital and confirmed we are nearly at top of list & should get apptmt through in approx 2-3 weeks time. I'm so impatient now but trying to relax!

starlet how disappointingg for you hun, hope you get better feedback from DHs SA and get your referral.

storm I love acupucture & find it really relaxing. babyhoping is going too although I think she finds it a wee bit uncomfortable at first. Are you still enjoying baby?

Good evening all

I'm home after 12 days away but still have 4 days of this 19 day stint I'm doing. It's good to see hubby.

I peaked on days 18 and 19 again this month then had a high on day 20 after poas then didn't need to poas the next day so only used 10 sticks. Which is good as I've been using 20 each cycle even though I knew I'd be low.

So now I'm in the am I or aren't I stage where everything is a sign. I felt sick today and had to give myself a good talking to so I'd not let my vivid imagination/omptimisum take over.

We did try on my highs but I was away for my peaks. But I'm not thinking about it. (much!)

Hello to all the new names on here and hugs to all the familiar ones.

Bath and bed for me then a catch up with hubby (for pleasure which is nice as no pressure!)
