Sorry AF got you Storm.

Welcome to our thread TangoTime. If you would like us to track your stats, let us know and someone will add you. If not, you are still more than wlecome to dip in and out. I hope the CBFM gets you your BFP soon.

OOooh SES, keeping our fingers crossed for you.

Ljg, I personally am a stickler for doing as I'm told so I would keep on poas as long as the CBFM to build up as much info about your cycle as possible.

Hi Everyone,

I've been away and have noticed there's loads to catch up on. Just got back so this is a pretty quick post and I promise I'll catch up again soon.

Hope everyone is well and doing ok.

Well AF got me like clockwork again. Day 28 (friday) and at 10am as per usual. I've reset the CBFM but don't think I'm going to bother using it this month just cos I've run out of test sticks and can't afford to replace them this month. Hope you don't mind but I'd still like to stick around this thread though???

I'm very regular and pretty sure I almst always OV around CD15 nd will be temping too so hopefully it won't be such a bad thing if I don;t bother with the CBFM.

Will read through the threads as soon as I have unpacked.

Speak soon xxxxx Smile

Ses. How about tomorrow!! Lol...just kidding (but not really) Grin

essenceofSES · 08/08/2010 12:42

Hello everyone!

ljg - if you're sure you have ov then I'd be tempted to stop testing this cycle and save the sticks.

Tangotime - welcome :) Sorry for AF but hope your CBFM helps and you soon get your BFP

boba and Lychees - big blatant hugs for both of you. It is so tough trying to be happy for other people whilst hurting so much inside.

Just waiting here now 7dpo and no symptoms at all.
Jenni I think I'll test next Saturday

ljg72 · 08/08/2010 09:09

Hi ladies! hope everybody is holding up okHmm.

Quick question! had 10 days of highs...no peaks!, do you have to keep testing until Af arrives?...FF shows I did ov days ago?.

Seems to be a waste of sticks to test up until AF, that would be 20 at least!

Any advice of what to do? only 2nd month of using CBFM, first month was 4high/2 peaks.

Thanks Ladies...enjoy your Sunday Smile

TangoTime · 08/08/2010 08:51

Hi

I hope it's ok to dive into an established thread? I'm new to MN so am still getting used to all the acronyms!

A quick overview:

DH and I have finally decided that after 15 years together that maybe we would like to start a family. Well I decided and DH is along for the ride (though very supportive he's still somewhat bemused about the change in stance).

I came off the pill in March and we had several months of not actively trying but not avoiding it either. My last cycle was our first concerted effort and it almost paid off! I'm pretty sure I experienced implantation at the beginning of this week but unfortunately my period started (4 days early) last night so I have just unwrapped my CBFM and have read up on the instructions. I'm now off to buy the batteries

Can I join your group?

Boba, sending you hugs.

Rosie, most highs I have had is five but I have the problem where I don't get highs at all and go straight to peak so I might as well be using OPK's on those monhts as I get no warning. Hope you get your peak at around the same time as usual though.

Ladies, I found out my younger brother is expecting #3 yesterday ["planned but earlier than expected" .... lucky them[!]]. I was so low and Envy. I have been so sad lately that other people just get pg at the drop of a hat. I feel like a little bit of me dies with the arrival of AF each month and each RL announcement and my experiences during this ttc journey these last few months have changed me forever.

I feel less devastasted this morning and more ready to carry on going. A good cry until you fall asleep helps.

I've just had my two peaks and my high and SWI three days in a row with Preseed. Today, I'm on my first low so we're having a break and we might SWI tomorrow for good measure then it's just a case of crossing my fingers, waiting and hoping.

Good luck ladies and hope you have a chilled out Sunday.

rosieposey · 08/08/2010 07:39

Boba :( sorry you are feeling so down, it must get so frustrating. Hope your weekend is a good one though.

I have been painting and sorting out our living room - very pleased with it now but hard work!

Can someone just reassure me that it is normal for the CBFM to give highs every single day from the day you start using it? According to the monitor i have been at high fertility since the day i finished AF Hmm and i know for sure i dont ovulate EVER earlier than day 16/17 in cycles (and for the last two months as late as day 23) I should be DTD at the moment according to the monitor but to be honest i wasnt going to start that till day 12 (too busy and too tired). All those months of doing sticks and not getting pg put me on to this monitor but its a bit frustrating when its telling me that every day of my cycle is a high - i thought it would be closer to ovulation.

Well im off to Laura Ashley today to buy some more paint in their sale before it ends today. Really hope you are all having a great weekend and relaxing nicely :)

There you go, Hairytriangle, your stats have been added. And forgot to say, "Welcome"!

ljg, I have no idea which line indicates LH surge but just for an indication, I get my peaks anywhere between CD12 and CD19, even though my cycles do not vary as much so there is still time for you to get yours this cycle.

Rosie, I would keep testing as long as it asks you to. Some ladies get two peaks in one cycle.

rosieposey · 06/08/2010 14:54

Yeah me too Hairy so i wont attempt to add you :) Welcome.

Well im glad to hear im not the only one getting highs early on - Its a brand new monitor so it should be working alright and not to someone elses cycle. I am still just at the end of AF on day 6 usually so its odd that i have had a peak fertility signal from it. Maybe next month will be different. Can you tell me as well if i need to keep testing if i get a couple of peak days later on in my cycle?

Lychees you made me roffle here ... have fun with the preseed.

ljg72 · 06/08/2010 14:24

Hi Ladies!

Can anybody advise?

what line on test sticks is LH surge?

First month was 4 highs, followed by 2 peaks!

Second month 7 highs...still waiting for peaks?

FF is looking like I already have???

Confusing stuff !Hmm

hairytriangle · 06/08/2010 14:22

ooh thank you so much Lychees.

Anyone mind if I stick around to pick up tips and generally join in?

Haven't had 'peak' just 'high ' ie: the two bars - (I'm still working the blooming thing out).

Don't want to waste too much energy swi'ing if it's too early :)

Lychees · 06/08/2010 14:14

hairytriangle, your CBFM has most likely detected your oestrogen level rising. The reason I say this is that sometimes, I go straight from low to peak without any highs and also because it is your first cycle of use so I don't think the CBFM is making any assumptions about your cyle yet.

Boba, I'm actually slightly worried that Mrs Bingham is one of the old biddy's that lives down my road and she probably got a bit of a fright when she opened the package to see LUBRICANT written all over it. I keep seeing if any of my neighbours are looking at me funny Grin.

Welcome Emmylou!

Hi Starlet & Jenni4

Thanks for the good wishes, All.

hairytriangle · 06/08/2010 13:59

Hi, I wonder if any of you ladies can give me a pointer or two?

Cycle one of using the CBFM, and on day seven of cycle, got a 'high fertility' signal - does this mean it's detected something, or that because it's still 'getting to know me' it's assuming I'm entering high fertility teritory?

Thank you!

Starlet22 · 06/08/2010 12:46

Updated stats below.

Welcome emmylou! You don't need to switch on the CBFM every day - with the first cycle it usually asks you to start testing on day 6 (assume you have set your "m" button to day 1?). I have to admit that for my first cycle I kept turning mine on just to check it was working and moving onto the next day!!

Rosie - I'm no expert re the charting but I think it's quite normal to have some variance i.e. up and down. Then just after you ovulate/around the time of ovulation your temps should shoot up if you have ovulated. The book I mentioned before (Taking Charge of Your Fertility) explains a whole ton of stuff about charting....just haven't had time to read it all!. I've had highs from day 7 before and then I had quite a few (maybe 4) before having a peak. But then I have a short cycle so am not too sure what your CBFM is thinking right now (did you buy a new one or is it second hand from a friend. If the latter, then it may be a bit confused...).

Lychees - glad your preseed arrived in time!! Good luck to you this month and good luck to Mrs Bingham as well!!

Rach as for the caffeine, I have tried to reduce my intake but I am far too partial to a cup of tea. I have tried to limit coffee to once a day; tea to once or twice a day and the rest I drink green tea. I have no idea if it really has any impact on fertility but I expect it has a tremendous boost to your health if you cut it out, which can only be a good thing.

Boba - hope you're still here??!!

Hello to everyone else. Hope you are all well. After the recommendations above I think we are going to see 3D Toy Story 3 this weekend - can't wait!!

Have a good weekend everyone. XX
