Thank you x

Hi Lisasteve.
The thread you have posted on is an old and now unused one.

If you click on this link you'll meet up with people who are currently using clomid.
Hope that helps.
X

Has anyone else experienced anything like this or does anyone have any answers or suggestions for me?????

Roobedoo · 12/11/2005 21:44

Right, new thread is CLOMID GANG - the new thread. Used capitals as makes it easy to spot, like this one. See you over there.

LunarSea · 12/11/2005 21:06

katie - it'll be 100mg. And yet more scans and blood tests to see if it's actually working. Had the invoice today for the last lot - frightening amount of money considering it hasn't actually done anything yet!

katierocket · 12/11/2005 10:39

It's injections roobedo, eek, actually I'm not too worried about it. Poor you, it's shite isn't it. It could be your month you know but I understand totally and completely how you feel, it just takes over your entire being doesn't it.

I think starting a new thread would be a good idea. Would you like to do it?

Roobedoo · 11/11/2005 19:50

So Katierocket - do you have to take clomid for IUI or is it the self-administered injections? A friend of mine found that she needed half a bottle of wine before she could inject herself the first few times (her DH couldn't face doing it - I'd have made him!)

DH has gone out for the evening. Have just finished our 3 day BD marathon (thank God) and am already feeling down about it not working AGAIN. Really feeling fed up with it all and feel that I just want it all to be over so I can think about something else for a change. Even find myself daydreaming about what I'll do with myself when no longer ttc - in my daydreams I finally get rid of my post baby little tummy and become super-svelte athlete! Oh well, a girl can dream. In reality, suspect I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst.

Think I'll have some wine and an early night. Have a good weekend all. Wish someone would have some good news or we're going to have to start a new thread as I think this one may be jinxed.

katierocket · 11/11/2005 09:38

sorry to hear that lunar - what dose will you be going on to?
We went to see consultant yesterday - we've decided to give IUI a go but I'm not going to get myself all excited about it because it only has a 16% success rate - heh ho, worth a go I think.

milesysgirl · 10/11/2005 17:08

sorry to hear about all this bad luck.....ive just been and had reflexology and it was fab deffo recommend it, it was so relaxing !

Roobedoo · 10/11/2005 14:42

Sorry to hear it's not working for you Lunarsea, I hope the increased dose does the trick without any ill effects.

LunarSea · 10/11/2005 09:56

Well it's official, bloodtests show that nothing's happening. So it's double doses of Clomid from next month. Forgot to ask if it was one tablet twice a day, or 2 once a day though - doh! Katie - what have you been doing? Hopefully if it hasn't worked yet, they'll take it as 6 months from when it does start to work, not 6 months from it not working, otherwise we're already rather depressingly half way through the 6 months without any progress.

katierocket · 10/11/2005 09:29

thanks ionaming - you too.

A lovely mumsnetter has been kind enough to share her experiences of IUI with me and it's made me feel OK about it.

ionaming · 10/11/2005 09:27

Katierocket, good luck with your appointment today. Hope things start moving forward for you

Roobedoo · 09/11/2005 21:20

Oh Katie, thanks for being excited for me. Yes, will be BDing - with assistance of wine. Hope the appointment goes well, keep us posted.

katierocket · 09/11/2005 19:07

oh roobedoo, when I saw your name as the last poster I swear my heart was racing waiting to find out the news. What a shame but like you say at least not bad news and how weird. So you are now BDing then? (well not now this minute but over next few days)
We're off to consultant tomorrow.
Fingers crossed to all.

Roobedoo · 09/11/2005 18:09

Well, I'm not pregnant but am apparently a medical marvel (I'd rather be pregnant). Somehow I have completely missed my period and am currently housing two big follicles ready to pop. The Nurse said she had never come across this before and had no explanation as to how it may have happened. Quite relieved the not knowing is over and glad it's not bad news - I was getting worried I had an ectopic or big cyst or something. Anyway, had the injection so busy 3 days. We're def more relaxed about it this time so we're going to have a couple of glasses of wine and not worry. Nurse did say my sore nips and dizziness could have been due to a very early preg which wasn't viable, but trying not to dwell on that as didn't even get a BFP. I think the symptoms were more likely down to all my odd hormones - I am a marvel after all!

Haven't tried reflexology or acupuncture but am quite interested so look forward to hearing how it goes. I got put off because someone said their reflexologist told them not to ttc for two months, although I don't think they all say that.

milesysgirl · 09/11/2005 11:49

hi everyone ,i was just wondering if anyone had tried reflexology im going for my first session tomorrow?!

katierocket · 07/11/2005 19:27

oh roobedo I saw your name and hoped it was good news. it does sound positive though, lots of people don't get postive results until ages after AF is due.

Roobedoo · 07/11/2005 18:52

BFN. Still no sign of AF though. No idea what is going on. Think I'll contact clinic if nothing by Wed as that will be a week after the test date they gave me. Trying to forget about it - guess how well I'm doing!

milesysgirl · 06/11/2005 19:22

fingers crossed here to R good luck make sure you let us know!!

katierocket · 06/11/2005 13:21

crikey roobedoo, it sounds very promising, fingers crossed.

Roobedoo · 06/11/2005 13:20

Oh, sorry Milsey. Still no sign of AF here so will do another test tomorrow. This not knowing is driving DH and me mad! AF well overdue now.

milesysgirl · 06/11/2005 11:28

hi all well i come on today as planned i really thought this month might be different . im off to see the consultent on the 14 nov so i think he might up the dose or something . bloody af i hate it aaarrrggghhh....

OP posts:
ionaming · 03/11/2005 20:38

oh Roobedoo, it's so depressing when we can't allow ourselves to get our hopes up at the slightest sympton anymore. It used to be the "exciting" bit each month! Tonnes of luck that both you & Milesysgirl get your BFP this month - it's about time this thread had some good news
