Well, have just waved DH off on a stag do in Spain for the weekend - woohoo

BUT if any volcano decides to kick off again or anything else that stops him getting home by Tuesday there will be hell to pay!!!

caija · 22/04/2010 19:33

Hey BL2, yes it is soo hard dealing with a disabled son/daughter, the pain u go thru watching them not being able to do what other kids their age can do.

Jack starts Nursery in August and I am DREADING it

He is however the happiest little man ever and now doing well since being started on a new med, he is laughing again, sitting up by himself again, and saying "Mum" , and the best thing is his seizures have stopped for approx 5 weeks..when we were told that we would prob NEVER get control of hs seizures

So I am just hoping tht things go ok this time

oh thanks for that, so many threads will make much more sense now!

QueenofDreams · 22/04/2010 19:19

POAS = Pee On A Stick

bossyboop · 22/04/2010 19:10

Can I be really dim here and ask what POAS is?!

babylove2 · 22/04/2010 17:45

Welcome QOD, POAS, POAS :-) i'm an addict!!

How exciting. This is going to be a lucky thread

caija i totally agree, i take my hat off to anyone that has the strenth to look after a child with any sort of dissabilty, a child is hard enough, and i cant imagine the heartbreak having to watch a child go through it.

This is going to be my first month trying, i dont count last month as i had a early MC (but fell pregnant first time) so starting fresh.
My period ends sunday so after then anytime, i'm usually a 27-28 cycle but because of the mc this month i was 5 days late, dont have a clue where i am with ovulation now so hope we can just "do the dead" every day .. easier said than done

Also didnt mention i am 27 and this will hopefully be baby no3

xxxx

QueenofDreams · 22/04/2010 15:37

hehe caija I'm not getting my hopes up as the last three months my cycle has run to 40+ days That's why I'm not counting or anything because you just can't tell WHERE in the middle of all that I'm ovulating. If AF doesn't arrive in the next week or two I might POAS though.

caija · 22/04/2010 14:53

Course u can QOD!!! Welcome!!! Aw..I ALWAYS make the mistake tht I am pregnant, imagine if u were tho?! Hw fantastic!!

My AF is also all over the place usually, but last couple months they have bn on time-ish!! Hehe xx

QueenofDreams · 22/04/2010 14:45

Should add I'm 28 and DS is 19 months old

QueenofDreams · 22/04/2010 14:44

Hi ladies can I join too?
TTC number 2. Been trying about 8 months now, but no luck so far. My cycle has always been irregular. Breastfeeding DS seemed to regulate it a bit, but now I've stopped my cycle is all over the damn place a again. Due AF any time now - Been over a month since last one but really don't feel like I'm pregnant. Made that mistake the last couple of months.

caija · 22/04/2010 14:12

Aw thanku Babylove2, I hope everything is ok this time, my dd, nearly 9, is from a previous relationship, and Jack is to my dp of 7 and a half years, to whom I have had 3 mc's too, so I do worry, I don't think I could go through another mc again, I defo couldn't have another dc with what Jack has, if results came bk tht the baby had something like that I don't think I could do it, not for my sake, but for the baby's sake, I couldn't watch another dc go through what Jack does...

Hey I know, I don't half feel stupid doing the old "bum in the air" routine!! But I did it with Jack, although did take 7 mnths to conceive him...but the old bum in the air being a size 18 is NOT pretty,

OP posts:
babylove2 · 22/04/2010 13:47

Oh caija, sorry you have to worry about that, im sure everything will be just fine and 1% chance is so low, if im right thinking you have more chance of winning the lottery.

You and dp can only do your best and fingers crossed everything will be ok.

ha ha how funny "bum in the air" i have done it everytime with mine, not very romantic after you turn around and hubby dashing to toilet to clean up.. we should write a book "the real ttc" lol

caija · 22/04/2010 13:37

OMG!! BL I cannot believe that!!

I hadn't seen yr post about putting yr bum in the air!!! Then I wrote it further down lol!!

I did it ALL the time when ttc for our 3yo ds, i do worry about having a third as my ds has such complex problems...he has a genetic disorder, so rare it hs no name. He suffers severe epilepsy, has damage to hs brain, cannot walk or talk etc, it was to do with Jack's chromosomes at conception, they messed up somehowbut bth mine and my DP's chromosomes were tested and ours came back fine...so they have said to us that there is less than 1% chance it happening again, but IF nd WHEN I fall pregnant I will be getting the tests for genetic disorders and stuffxx

babylove2 · 22/04/2010 11:11

ha ha well done CAIJA, i start next week :0) bum will be firmly in the air .. oh the romance.

caija · 21/04/2010 22:53

Thanks BL2, it went well lol, even had my bum raised up and legs against wall afterwards to help..you know? gravity n all tht lol, Ifatfirst, men ay?!! What they like?xx

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 21/04/2010 20:26

Haha - that is so funny, my DH is convinced that he has super sperm too!
We've been TTC for a while now and have had some tests done. After his sperm test we went to see the specialist and when the doc told us he was above average I could feel the smug grin appearing on his face from over my shoulder. Ever since then he's given himsef the nickname super sperm!

babylove2 · 21/04/2010 16:37

good luck think happy baby thoughts .. and dont forget to put you bum on the air after .. works a treat

caija · 21/04/2010 16:11

Hey all!!! Hope you's are all good tday!!! I am hoping to get tryig going later , hehe xx

babylove2 · 21/04/2010 13:39

Hello ihearttc

my hubby also thinks he has super sperm lol, we shall see hopefully next month if they really are "super"

I'm still on my period at the mo, mine goes on for a week, so should be finished sunday, but my cycle has gone a bit funny this month so not sure on ov this month.

Very exciting, hope this is a extra lucky thread ladies

ihearttc · 21/04/2010 13:03

Can I join in too please?!

Im 33 and we have a DS who is 5. This is second month of ttc and my cycles have all gone a bit weird so am seriously not impressed! I was always every 28 days as regular as clockwork and now for some bizarre reason they've gone really short...last months was 24 days and the one before that was 21 days!

we never really had to try for DS as he was literally conceived the first time we tried...DH is convinced he's got super sperm lol but Im older now and have got a funny feelings its going to take longer this time.

My period started the 14th as well so it really does look like we're all at about the same time!

Im got some clearblue ov tests as think I actually ov early in my cycle so am giving them a go this month. DH is still stuck in Dubai at the moment cause of the volcanoe but should apparently be flying home early hours of tomorrow morning...may have to jump on him when he gets in lol!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

itsjustclaire · 21/04/2010 11:47

Starting to feel a bit nervous but excited at the same time as I'm getting closer to my 'window of opportunity' could this be the month???
