ijceb · 11/09/2010 16:44

Hello everyone,

No nothing to report for last monthSad now just a couple of more days to go. I am just getting so fed up. It just seems like it is never going to happen.

Any news from you IfAtFirstUDontSucceed?

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 22/08/2010 15:52

Your 1 week is up now ijceb - anything to report? :)

I'm now on the 2ww & AF is due on the 3rd of sept Grin

ijceb · 11/08/2010 15:20

I am currently on the 2WW and it's awful, I hate it. One more week to go...ahhh.

FIL is really ill and I'm feeling really awful about TTC - it is making me feel really guilty. DH is very supportive and wants things to carry on as normal but can't help feeling bad Confused

Thanks IfAtFirstUDontSucceed I hope that it was just a one off with my results, if I had it my way I would have a test every month Grin
Good luck with your tests Smile

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 09/08/2010 19:52

Hi Ladies and welcome broughthimroundtotheidea

Got back off my jollies yesterday, which was fab and was also on the 2ww while I was away, but it didnt distract me as much as I'd hoped.
Started convincing myself that I was PG as AF was 4 days late (v unusual for me),but only symptom were slightly sore boobs. AF arrived last day of hol Angry
I've now accepted the fact that my cycles are now a little longer that what they were and I'm now telling myself not to get carried away until CD30

I'm currently on CD4 so not due till 29th of Aug- I hate this time, it's so-o-o boring.
I stupidly arranged my smear test on the date I guess I would OV,so was straight on the phone today to get that shifted to the following week. I've also asked the nurse to do one of the tests the fertility specialist had lined up for me in Feb while she's up there! Blush Grin Hopefully that'llget the ball rolling again.

ijceb - that's pants about your test results, hopefully they were just one offs!

ijceb · 07/08/2010 13:51

Welcome broughthimroundtotheidea
Good for you - I think me and DH are worriers and we spent a fair amount of time thinking things through, but now we have decided that it is definately for us, we are really excited and can't wait.

I have given up on the testing and I do feel better for it. I have just had a reflexology session for fertility and have another 6 treatments planned...fingers crossed.

I am due on around the 17th - good luck
XX

broughthimroundtotheidea · 06/08/2010 17:47

Hi Can I join ? After nagging for 4 years I have finaly talked DH around :O ( he worries too much) Hoping for a #3 only started trying halfway through this cycle but it was when my pants were at their snottiest! We were incredibly luck with DD11 and DS9 and fell pretty much straight away. DH says he has demon seamen, hopefully still the same now we are 9 years older but not holding my breath! Good luck to everyone I think I am due around the 19th x

xkatyx · 06/08/2010 17:34

Hi xkatyx - good to see that your back. Smile

Don't think that anyone has any news.

How are you getting on?
When are you due for your scan?

xkatyx · 05/08/2010 16:34

Hi everyone, how is everything going?

xx

ijceb · 03/08/2010 18:56

BUMP

ijceb · 25/07/2010 13:48

Thought I'd just give an update on my blood test results, all my hormone levels are fine except for the FSH which is low, so the GP said basically I wasn't ovulating and she thinks that is still because of taking the pill, which I stopped taking last November
...so I now have to wait until the beginning of November before I can go back for more blood tests and if these are fine then I have to try for another 2 months, if the results are not normal then she will refer me.
I feel so fed up and really upset, one of my friends has just found out she is pregnant and I am really pleased for her but feeling really jelous

Any news from anyone else??

Hi IfAtFIrstUDontSucceed,

Hope this weekend is going well

Where are you going on your holiday?

This month I have stopped testing with OPK's and temping and I feel a lot less stressed out about the whole thing.

From what I can remember they are testing for progesteron, testosterone and thyroid. I had blood taken last Wednesday and it feels almost as bad as a 2WW, although technically I am on the 2WW too. Roll on Wednesday so I can discuss the results with the GP.

Take care XX

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 15/07/2010 20:27

Hi ijceb, which blood test have you had done?

It's our key time from this weekend , I'm depending on good ol' "doing it every day" as I havent got any OPKs and cant afford to buy any this month.

I will be on holiday during my 2ww, so at least of got something to distract me!

Keep us posted with your test results x

ijceb · 15/07/2010 16:43

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 08/07/2010 18:29

Hello stranger! How are you? Hope everything is going boringly well

I took a month off this month, and am now on CD27 and am desperate for AF to arrive so I can get obsessed again

xkatyx · 08/07/2010 17:35

Hello everyone,

I was checking in to see how everyone is getting on, got my fingers crossed for you all.

ijceb · 05/07/2010 20:08

Hi IfAtFirstUDontSucceed

Glad to hear that you have the tests lined up, a year is far to long to wait, so good on you

I hope you had a fab time at Glastonbury!

I have tried charting and my temps were going up and down, so I think it meant that something was happening!

I'm convinced that I'm not ovulating because of being on the pill. I came off the pill last November and the GP told me it could take up to a year for things to get back to normal even though my periods were regular.

I've decided to stop using the OPK's and charting for now and am kind of hoping that I won't be as stressed out by it all. I know DH is relieved as he won't have to hear the bleep of the thermometer every morning when I wake up

I have another couple of weeks to wait until I can have the blood tests and then a week for them to analyse...so I'll keep you posted.

Take care everyone XX

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 02/07/2010 18:04

Hi ijceb, good to see this thread ressurected!

I'm glad you have been able to get things moving, hope it's all good!

Why don't you try charting, if OPKs arent working for you?

I've also been firm with my GP. In Jan, I was referred to a fertility specialist who lined me up for a string of tests, I then found out I was pg, had a MC in March. He then said that there was no longer any need for the tests and to come back in a YEAR if there's still no joy.
At the time I just accepted it, but a year is a very long time when youre TTC.
So, I've booked myself in for one of the tests in Aug (might as well get the ball rolling).

I have inadvertanly taken a month off this month (havnet been taking my temp, havent bought any OPKs) - mainly due to the fact I knew I would be at Glastonbury when the right time would be- not the ideal TTC conditions

Wishing the next 3 weeks fly over so can start getting obsessed again

ijceb · 02/07/2010 16:38

Hi everyone how are you all?

Well I plucked up the courage to go to see my GP and she agreed to carry out some blood tests to see what my hormones are up to. I feel really hopeful about this

I also asked about the OPK's as I was getting negative results on them, probably down to my hormones and being on the pill for a while. She said probably best not to use them as they get your hopes up and let you down, so I'm going to just forget about them.

caija · 19/06/2010 19:17

Hiya IfatFirst, thts great you've not been obsessed ths month, it def helps, the first mnth tht I stopped obsessing I fell pregnant with my youngest who's now 3, bt ths month I really HADN'T been thinking about it n then when I got those positive bloody tests I was totally delighted!! And, they r still negative, so obv bn dud tests, I contacted the seller on ebay, sed she had never heard of anyone gettn a false positive, and sed tht the tests are heat sensitive, n it could've bn that that caused me to get the positive! She is sending me out another 10 tests as an apology...soo bloody upsetting

I have lost faith in the cheap tests from ebay now, better off sticking to FR or CB or even asda or tesco's own one's xx

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 19/06/2010 13:31

Sorry to hear that caija, especially as you were teased with those naff tests.

I've had a bit of a relapse, feeling a bit sorry for myself today! Have realised that I havent been as obsessed as previous months (havent bought any OPKs, have only been taking my temp when I can be bothered, not religiously taking vits, even to the point that I'm not on mumsnet at every available hour!!!)

caija · 18/06/2010 12:28

Hey girls, how are we all?, well I did a FR just now and it's negative, I am gutted, I will sooo sooo be contacting tht seller on ebay!! Note to everyone, do not buy tests from someon called BirdeyJane xx

OP posts:
xkatyx · 17/06/2010 19:49

a line has to start somewhere, so very very very faint is a start, keeping everything crossed for you.

You can test 4 days before your period with forst response, also they are doing buy one get one free in superdrug

I am nearly 6 week's, got terribly sore boob's, headaches and peeing alot, no sickness so far, didnt really get much in my other pregnancies, so hoping it stays away, i think the hardcore symptoms kick in about7-8 weeks.

xx
