TTC after a Miscarriage - Keep Trying!!!!

Diddle · 27/07/2005 15:15

Well ladies, its about time we had a new thread, the old one is getting very long. Plus I think we need another fresh start, with lots of positive babydust:

.,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'- .,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',.

Get a big handful girls, i think we all need it.
I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

Sorry Hellkat, i did musunderstand. Thought i wouldnt have missed that important piece of news.

You are having a nightmare with your af's. Are you going to use ov sticks at all. May be worth a try.

Cori all sounds posotive to me. Good Luck with testing. XXXXXX

cori · 20/08/2005 10:57

hi
Well its countdown to test date. I am due next Thursday, I have some early tests so might give it a go on Monday.
I feel reasonably positive this month, which makes a change. I also have been feeling quite tired and have tender breasts. So who knows.
I am not stressing about it.
WHo else is testing this week?

HellKat · 20/08/2005 10:48

No hun, far from it. Af is back after only 17 days away. Don't think I even ov either
I think you got confused with me talking about scan piccys lol. I meant I was lucky to have got a pic of my little one before I mc.

maddyd · 20/08/2005 09:43

Excuse me Hellkat am i going mad. ARE YOU PG? How on earth did i miss that. Just confirm so i dont hand out the congrats premeturley(sp). !!!!

HellKat · 20/08/2005 05:13

Morning all.
Mojo- welcome! Glad you found us. How are you feeling? I felt alot more relieved after mine, think of it as a fresh start. You can look to the future as well as remembering your little one. We're lucky in the fact we mananged to get a pic of the 7 wk scan (can't see much but our little beanie boo is there). Has pride of place in ds2's piccy album.
Baggy- welcome to you too. Rh neg mum here aswell. I read alot of info on the web about mc's with us. They had all the info about anti-bodies etc. Have you got kiddies already? My ds1 is AB positive, had no probs, had 3 mc's, ds2 is RH neg too, then mc in April. So who knows. My personal belief is that the body rejects serious abnormality hence mc's. Have a great holiday!
Petunia- congrats!!!!!!!
Peepee- Great to see hun!!!! Congrats to you too! How are you?
Humphreys- Glad dh is ok! Bet your nerves were shot to pieces!
Hiya everyone else. Lurking here. Have'nt had any info to report apart from af is back! Had glorious 17 days without her. In emmense pain, endo is killing, so now torn. Thinking if it's got worse, it'll be virtually impossible to conceive. So toying with the going to the dr, getting it lazored off but that means waiting for a year to ttc. So caught between a rock and a hard place atm.
Love to all xxxx

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 19/08/2005 19:31

Sorry to see we have new ladies joining us xxxxx
Lets hope this lucky thread brings you as much comfort as its brought me (and hopefully a little luck too)

Feeling off colour.DD and nieces have all had colds and now I have it.Dh gave up beer all week and wonders why theres no action but feel rotten (and getting no results on dreaded ov kits which I swore I would not use)

Got to go as dd is sat on knee pouring her milk onto keyboard........(shes USUALLY in bed by 7...)

Mojomummy · 19/08/2005 19:07

Hi Diddle, yeah ok. Spirits are up - thinking lucky what I have etc. Also glad I spoke to the miscarriage association.

Had my mum up for a couple of days as DH has been away. She was supposed to look after DD today, but went off in a huff. She hasn't been AT ALL supportive...never mind...I'll know not to bother with her again.

Just trying to get to grips with who's who on here, quite complicated following it all !

Diddle · 19/08/2005 17:09

baggybear - glad to hear today wasn;t too bad for you, have a great weekend.

Lottielou - very glad you're back, everything is fine here, we're still trying. fingers crossed for this month again. But to be honest won't be too gutted if i'm not, as we are going to Disneyland Paris in a few weeks for our wedding anniversary and I really want to go on the rides.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Mojomummy - hows your day been and how are you feeling?

Mojomummy, BFP = Big Fat Postive
BFN = big fat negative

baggybear · 19/08/2005 14:11

Thank you didle and strike1. {{{hugs back}}}

Today has gone fine. I had my scan this morning and everyhting is good - lining nice and thin and no retained products. So everyhting is nice and healthy there . And had my blood taken this afternoon and the results will be waiting for me when I get back from my holiday.

I can't wait to get AF so I can get down to business. Feeling much more positive today after good scan results. At least I know my uterus is back to normal and ready to take another egg

Mojomummy · 19/08/2005 13:59

BFP's ?

Just checked the acronym list & couldn't see it

strike1 · 19/08/2005 13:42

Welcome back Lottie! Good to hear from you again. Well I'm still here, second month ttc but we've had quite a few BFP's recently so hopefully the good luck will rub off. Are you still running? I remember chatting with you about that last time you were around. Hope all is good, well and happy with you.

Mojomummy · 19/08/2005 12:12

ok thanks - just been on the phone to a very nice lady at the miscarriage association.

www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk/main4.htm#leaflets/sorry.htm

basically she said if your body can is well enough to ovulate, then you're ok to make a baby. Some peole prefer to wait, some don't.

I'm off to get ovo sticks

strike1 · 19/08/2005 12:12

Tried to pump multi vits into my fella but he wouldn't take them unless I forced him, so eventually I gave up I've told him if it takes too long to concieve or we suffer another m/c he is on a strict routine!

LunarSea · 19/08/2005 11:57

CD is "cycle day" - starting from day 1 of AF.

Mojomummy · 19/08/2005 11:48

Morning

What does CD 13/14 mean ?

Are you filling up your men with zinc to help their sperm ?

I'm off to the healthfood shop today, in search of Royal Jelly a al Gillian Mckeith. Also read some other posts on here about agnus castus, anyone else tried it?

Will also ring the miscarriage association for their advice on recovery/resting/conception again. Will let you know if anything interesting comes up

strike1 · 19/08/2005 09:51

Morning all,

Rainy day play here, boring! Good luck today Baggybear. Hopefully all will turn out fine and you can relax for your next pg (as much as possible anyway!)

Welcome Mojomummy, good to see you here. I saw a few of your postings on Conception a few days ago.So sorry for your loss .It so horrid to have all that excitement, hope and love snatched away. Glad you have come over to utilise all the care and support everyone here offers. I don't what I would have done without being able to blab and blub to this lot! Oh ok Spub....Group {{{HUG}}}

On about CD 13/14 today which on a 35 cycle feels a bit early to start bding, but I might go for Petunia's approach, every other day for the next 2 weeks DH should like that!

Diddle · 19/08/2005 07:26

morning all,

baggybear - was just reading your post on last the just wanted to talk last night. please don't worry about crying loads, and feeling so low. It is totally normal, and will help to let our emotions out. It does get easier, just takes time. and 4 1/2 months after my 2nd m/c i still cry when i think about it.
Hope all goes well today, and you have a good weekend if we don't hear from you later (you have a busy day)
(((((big hugs to keep you going)))))))) while you're away from your pc.

night night diddle xxxx

Diddle · 18/08/2005 22:36

baggybear - will be thinking of you tomorrow, I hate going backto the hospital where it all happened. Makes me sad every time, I know it won't be easy for you.

I visited my grandad in the hospital today, and his ward is very close to maternity. saw a mother walking out with her newborn, and a lovely pink balloon with congratulations on it. I don't know how i kept myself together

Think i'm having another "its not fair" weeks. but it really isn't fair!!!!

anyway, off to bed now, taking the kids out tomorrow and need all the energy I can gather.

Night all
xxx
