Well ladies, its about time we had a new thread, the old one is getting very long. Plus I think we need another fresh start, with lots of positive babydust:

.,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'- .,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',.

Get a big handful girls, i think we all need it.
I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

Good Day Girls

Hope you are all as well as can be.

shelly24 and CHOCOLATEPEANUT-I am really hoping for some good news from you both. ((xx))

HellKat-have you got rid of the evil one yet? ((xx))

nicmum2boys-wey hey to you-now you can get on with your life. ((xx))

Girls-I can't believe that I have started weeing on sticks already!!! Did it last night-WHY?????????????????? I'm not even fertile until Thursday but of course I have a metallic taste in my mouth, gums are bleeding and boobs hurt. What am I like? Told DH we have to send some more in tonight (we are on an every other night arrangement which ties in very nicely with the fact that we are away on Saturday night alone at Brands Hatch for the bike racing) Hip hip hooray!

Enough of me gabbling on-I try and make out I am finding it fun TTC but as soon as AF shows I will be straight on here for support.

Until tomorrow girls. Ooh, still enjoying Big Bro-shame they didn't bring in a stunner as Craig would have spat his dummy out if Anthony chatted her up!

Byee and lots of love to everyone.
x

petunia · 02/08/2005 17:37

Afternoon all,
Oh maddyd, are you OK? You sound as if you're in an awful lot of pain having to take 2 lots of painkillers. Sounds like you need a break away, and it would be something to look forward to.
Interesting what you're all saying about caffeine. When I had my first scan appointment through, the hospital sent me a letter asking if I would take part in a study on the effects of caffeine on the developing baby. It involved keeping a diary but one reason I really wanted to do it was because you got 2 extra scans (I think they were at 24 and 36 weeks) which I thought would be nice to have. But then I had the mc
Good luck to Shelly and CP. Hope you last out til Friday.
As for me, I think I might have ov. Felt awful yesterday with all sorts of aches and pains. Feel a lot better today though. So 'ere we go, 'ere we go, 'ere we go (or whatever it is they sing in the football stands these days!)
Off to the hairdressers now. (Mobile hairdresser- we're mobile, she's the hairdresser!) Catch you all later.

maddyd · 02/08/2005 17:29

Ive heard stress and worrying about it do not help at all. But its easier said than done to be laid back about it isnt it?
Your sensible about the ov tests. My friend used them and bd'd all through ov time everynight and still didnt catch. Her dissapointment was immense. I felt so sorry for her, bless

Diddle · 02/08/2005 17:12

hi maddyd - sorry you're not feeling good, hate stomach cramps, make you feel so rough. Very jealous of your weekend away. we're looking into booking one now, might go to Disneyland Paris in Sept.
I'm on cd12, ov this weekend coming, so plenty of bd for us this week, might not ov test and just get on with it, think it might just put more pressure on us if we know a certain date. lets see what hand fate deals us this month.

Does anyone know the effects stress can have on fertility etc, feeling veyr stressed at the moment, and DH keeps winding me up which i'm sure won't help me either. any ideas?

maddyd · 02/08/2005 17:06

Hiya Everyone. Shelly do you ahve any newsd eyt, have you tested agin. Fingers crossed for you honey xxxxxxxxxxxx

No i havnt tested again. I did take it out of the pack as bleeding lighter now but the pain is still very bad, am on nurofen and codiene and its not helping. So i thought not much point really.

Am in mood from hell today but good news is we are booking the Manderin Hotel later thanks to Shellys recommemdation. Just trying to get some discount through the spa federation as we work for a well known Spa too. Anyway we are going for some quality time together and will prob not leave the bed unless there is a fire

How is everyone else????? Chher me up with happy newws and thoughts pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Diddle where are you in your cycle, you must be around ovulation time yes?

Diddle · 02/08/2005 16:53

thats great, thanks lunarsea, very good to know, i love my coffee

OP posts:
LunarSea · 02/08/2005 16:32

Don't worry Diddle - the NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence Guidelines) re lifestyle things which might affect fertility say that there's not enough evidence re caffeine - so they don't actually recommend that you need to give it up!

Diddle · 02/08/2005 16:21

nic & Tabs - the article is great, not to keen on the give up alchohol and coffee section, but its a great read, and i'm going to try and stick to it. maybe not the coffee, but possibly the wine.

OP posts:
nicmum2boys · 02/08/2005 16:10

Ooooh, good luck Shelly and Chocolatepeanut, sounds really promising for both of you.

Maddyd, how are you? Did you test today? Thinking of you.

Thanks everyone for the healthy eating tips, yes please Tabs would love that article, will CAT you once I work out how to do it .

Af has packed her bags at last! So we can begin again.
Been trying to post all day, but keep having to run off to the garden as DS2 who is just 2 keeps getting to the top of our new climbing frame and trying to hurl himself off. Still, must be keeping me fit lol!
Am now going to make a concerted effort to eat more healthily and exercise. I've lost 2 stone since the beginning of the year, but now have a greater reason to keep going with it. Need to refocus, as last month I've let things slip as was concentrating on getting pg, although pleased not to have put on weight. I think DH actually agreeing to try has just knocked me sideways. Really did not expect him to, and seriously thought I would never have this chance. Now I have it I want to grasp it with both hands (ooh er!).

Cori have you started a diet thread (not had a chance to look today), think that sounds like a good idea.

I'm off to cook a healthy tea, and then going for a swim once the DSs are in bed, so will be back later feeling virtuous (or exhausted, one of the two!)

shelly24 · 02/08/2005 15:51

Same to you hunny.x.x.x.
It makes me really emotional thinking of what we both have been through already this year, lets hope that the next half of it is alot happier for both of us.x.x.x.x.x.xx.x.x.x..x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 02/08/2005 15:27

Shelly

Lots of love and luck to us both baby girl.We so need this after the shared experience we have had.

Diddle · 02/08/2005 14:28

Hellkat - you with us today?? haven't heard much from you lately. is everything alright? hows the bruising.

OP posts:
shelly24 · 02/08/2005 12:29

Ok c.p...i promise if you do too!!!We'll wait till friday yeah?
I can do it if i know someone else is holding out 2!!..x.x.x

LunarSea · 02/08/2005 12:17

CP - yeah I realised that after a second or so, it was just the way I read it first time with "since" in the "because" sense of the word, rather than the "elapsed time" sense. Gave me a laugh anyway.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 02/08/2005 11:53

Lunarsea

Since puberty you twit!!

Shelly we should make a vow not to test till Fri

After that if no good going to docs

LunarSea · 02/08/2005 11:40

CP/Tabs - I'll have been on vits of some sort Pregnacare/Pronatal/whatever for 9 years in Spetember - all bar about 3 months between stopping feeding ds and starting ttc again. I should buy shares in the company that makes them I think. It's got to the point now where I buy them 270 at a time - 9 months worth - as it's cheaper than gettig 30 at a time.

CP - I read "before that 28 since I was wearing long socks" and wondered how wearing long socks could make your cycle 28 days. Was thinking that this was a tactic I'd never heard of or tried! Good luck anyway - socks or not!

And you too shelley - go do another test, and look at it this time(!) rather than leaving us all in suspense.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 02/08/2005 11:30

Shelly24 I have everything crossed for you

I still have no AF.I am never late.Last month 31 days and before that 28 since I was wearing long socks.

Know I ov on 17.07.05 so on the 14 day theory should have AF now. Done countless bfns but all same internet brand so thinking stupidly I have a bad batch!!!
Also read on here many women who nit got get a bfp till many days after af due so some hope for us yet shelly24.

Funny thing is boobs starting to feel different.
(just know AF will come now I have uttered those words...)

Diddle · 02/08/2005 11:08

peepee - i remember you from a good few months ago, very glad to see you're back and all is in working order. excelent news. feel very positive after hearing from you, very strange. excellent though.

OP posts:
peepee · 02/08/2005 09:57

I am back. Have been monitoring the site though. Pleased to see that there are some possible pregnacies out there.

Had my hospital appointment last week. All is well. Have been told that should I fall pregnant again I will have to have a heparin jab and take aspirin daily until 12weeks. Am booked in for a womb scan on 16/08 just to make sure that all is 100%.

DH and I are positive all is ok as during other scans the docs checked out ovaries fallopian tubes etc and said all was ok. We are already trying to conceive that's why i have joined the thread.

I have worked out that if you wait three days after A/F and then start trying especially hard on days 5,6,7,8, you will get p/g. It has worked 4 times for me and we had only started trying a year ago. So it does work.

Good luck all and have fun practicing.
