TTC after a Miscarriage - Keep Trying!!!!

Well ladies, its about time we had a new thread, the old one is getting very long. Plus I think we need another fresh start, with lots of positive babydust:

.,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'- .,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',.

Get a big handful girls, i think we all need it.
I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

oh lunarsea - so sorry you're having a rough time of it. Your doctor, sounds useless, is there no other doctor at your surgery you could try?? I would insist on a referral, how annoying. Or pretend you've moved house and register at a friends address who is in the right area? I moved out of my local docs area when i left home but wanted to keep my doctor so i used my nans address, as she was still in the area.

AF is back this morning. Which means this cycle was only 17.5 days. And I've had nothing but negatives from OPKs starting on day 8/Saliva Test thingy all month, so looks like to go with the ever shorter cycles I've stopped OVing too. Aargh!

And have just found out that I can't even change GP because they have catchment areas and won't take you on if you are out of their area, so the useless one we've got (who despite all the evidence thinks nothing's wrong so won't do tests, won't refer us....) is our only option, short of moving.

I really must try to talk more to you guys on the days when I'm not getting hit by yet more bad news - it must sound to you like I spend my whole life being miserable.

Diddle · 05/08/2005 10:38

morning xena - how you doing? quite common this ov pain then. i'm normal after all.

OP posts:
Xena · 05/08/2005 09:32

My sister has always had a ov pain.

Xena · 05/08/2005 09:29

Auntynon I don't think that the digitals are any better other than you don't have to decide whether there is a 2nd line or not it just say not pregnant or pregnant. But if you take them apart then they still have the one or two blue lines. I'm sorry about you m/c, have you got any other children or is this your first (have you filled in the stat thread?)

petunia · 05/08/2005 09:26

Diddle- they weren't very painful, seemed to be mostly on my left-hand side but I was in a foul mood on Monday and snapped at DH (I've said it before, bloody hormones!)

Diddle · 05/08/2005 09:19

petunia - oh good, at leats i'm not the only one, not nice that yours are so painful though. mine are just like little twinges nothing mega painful, thank goodness.

petunia · 05/08/2005 09:14

Morning all,
Maddyd- poor you, you're really going through it at the moment. Hope the dr can help.

Diddle- I was due to OV earlier this week, my twinges were more like cramps and sometimes they were quite painful. At times I felt positively pre-menstrual! Fairly sure I didn't have them before the mc.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 05/08/2005 08:56

maddyd - Morning girly, hope the doc can sort you out, royal jelly, will have to investiagte that one. thought the greent tea was going to be good, then it turns out its not.
so many things we can try.

cori - well said, what a lovely message.

Well i felt like a weight had been lifted after my massage last night, it was lovely, trying to stay stress free today, not too many kids so souldn't be too hard, plus we're out tonight, as its dh's b'day tomorrow. So hopefully will get plenty of relaxing, chilled out bd. Must do it tonight, as its OV weekend and we're at the in laws tomorrow night, and theres no way i'm doing it there.

I keep getting little twinges in my abdomen, does anyone else get this around OV, only been able to feel it since the m/c's, very strange. Could i be feeling my eggs on thir way??? or have i gone mad?

maddyd · 05/08/2005 08:33

Ok Everyone, i had a crap night and going to phone Doc in a mo, but before i do that i have some exciting news for all of us.

Royal jelly will get us pregnant according to Dr Gillien McKieth the 'You are what you eat' woman. She swears by it! So dont know about you but as soon as shopa are open im there!!!!!

cori · 04/08/2005 23:06

Shelly
I know if and when I get pregnant I will feel exactly the same way as you do now. It is terrifying really, there is nothing you can do but take one day at a time. Look after yourself.
It is so hard to feel positive when you know so well what can wrong, but being postive wont hurt the baby. Stress, worry and negativity might.
And when no one else understands, Mumsnet does.

auntynon - its horrible going back to work isn't it. I work with kids, Childminder - and after my first m/c in Jan i had a week off, then after the 2nd in April I had no time off, and it is so hard to stay focused and smiling. I was so drained. The crying will get less gradually, although i still have a good cry now and then, and now.
Its horrible what we have all been through, so unfair, we don't deserve this do we. Will come to you for all my bog and whirlpool advice from now on.

sorry will pull myself together now

Shelly24 - I think we can all understand why you are struggling to accept that you are pregnant. But honestly if you have had a line on that many tests, then it can't be wrong. The digi tests are great, easy to use and i think i'm turning into a walking advert for them. It is horrible having your hopes dashed, and if i wasn't so addicted to testing i would be trying to do as you are. stay strong hunny, and test as much or little as you want. Congrats again. we're all thinking of you.

Hellkat - you're doing a great job of avoiding mumsnet, i'm missing my early morning chat buddy Hope you're doing ok.

Maddyd - Hope thats a compliment about being like your mom, she must be lovely

auntynon · 04/08/2005 22:07

congrats shelly, fingers crossed for you

auntynon · 04/08/2005 22:03

Feeling sorry for myself, had m/c on sunday, had 3 days off and had to go to work today. Really didn't want to but had to. If I had a normal job I would have taken a couple of weeks. Still keep crying.

auntynon · 04/08/2005 22:01

never used a digi test before, are they really that much better?

Diddle, me and dh have a bathroom showroom. Bathrooms are the new kitchens!! Thank the lord for all the TV make over madness. If you need to know about whirlpools or bogs I'm your woman.

Xena · 04/08/2005 21:27

sorry that should have said 'do you know'

Your pregnant my love, go to the chemist and buy a CB digi test and your see it written 'PREGNANT'

Xena · 04/08/2005 21:25

Do know, I just typed you a really long message but it didn't soudn right. I'm really wishing this is it for you shelly and that everything works out, as you really deserve it after what you have been through.xx

shelly24 · 04/08/2005 21:18

Thing is they have been very faint lines, and only today has it looked slightly stronger and can up quicker than the others.
Thats 4 tests with a mark now(crazy isn't it,i really have lost the bloody plot!!)

shelly24 · 04/08/2005 21:15

Hi xena
Yeah i am really scared of the result confirming that i am actually preg!
I've been through the worst time of my life already this year when my little boy was stillborn,i don't know how strong i am either way!

shelly24 · 04/08/2005 21:13

Please be there,i must have really screwed up the AF predicting then,if you've worked it out to be tomorrow?how did you come up with that?.x
Everything is very surreal right now, your the only one i know who really knows what i've been through, and the only one who can imagine how scared i am right now!
I'm afraid of the dissapointment if i'm not,and also afraid if its good news, because it almost feels too good to be true!

Xena · 04/08/2005 21:11

I'm here shelly how are you doing? Have you done another test or are you to scared to admit it might be true? (I know you'll be happy but scared to i mean)

shelly24 · 04/08/2005 21:06

Are you still there c.p?.x

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 04/08/2005 19:42

Baby girl I am here. How many positives is that then?! You ARE pregnant.

I know how you must feel.Dont forget we have had very similar experiences. You do kind of become very protective of yourself and I can understand not wanting to get too excited as the disappointment of whats happened previously is overwhelming. But postive means positive. You are young and healthy and there is no reason that this time things will not go your way.

Do the digi test.If I am right your period is due tomorrow? Get one (now if you can,get to the supermarket) do it and see that you are IN WRITING and then go to bed tonight having peaceful dreams.Tomorrow you can ring GP and get them to arrange an early scan. They will watch you v closley this time and you will be ok.I am so sure about that

Xena · 04/08/2005 19:41
