TTC after a Miscarriage - Keep Trying!!!!

Well ladies, its about time we had a new thread, the old one is getting very long. Plus I think we need another fresh start, with lots of positive babydust:

.,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'- .,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',.

Get a big handful girls, i think we all need it.
I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

Hi Cori, know what you mean, I lurked for ages, and only tend to post if I've got something to say as it were, just a bit surprised it's been so quiet today.
Been trying desparately to relax, as per everyone else's posts, and have even been checking out future careers if things don't work out ttc. So far my only acheivement on the relaxing front has been drinking too much wine (now feeling guilty incase wrecked chances ) and point blank refusing to use all those ov testing kits stashed in my bedside drawer.....however am now as just discovered I am bleeding again. I just don't know what my body is playing at, thought I was oving, but am just about peed off with it now. Seriously considering reflexology to try and sort these dratted hormones out......need to do something, or just close he door on it all completely and get on with plan b.

cori · 10/08/2005 23:20

Hi Nicmum
I am here, I lurk more than I post. Think I am Ov at the moment. BD not going so well though, must try harder

nicmum2boys · 10/08/2005 21:34

I'm still here.......... where'd everyone go???
Think I'm oving at the moment, although with my cycle being a bit shot who knows? We are doing what we're meant to be doing , so here's hoping for a May baby.
How are you doing Maddyd??

Xena · 10/08/2005 19:40

Just Chat

Xena · 10/08/2005 19:35

Hey all I see your all trying the same as me, How about a thread called 'Just Chat' and we could invite Beksmum, Chacha etc. So we can keep up with each other?

Diddle · 10/08/2005 19:26

Also Shelly in a second pregnancy everything is a little more sensitive and your body will be remembering what it has to do from last time. I noticed things much earlier with my second pregnancy.

You will be fine and the hosp (and us lot) will take care of you.

I only work mon-wed so hopefully when i go back it wont be toooo difficult!

nicmum2boys · 09/08/2005 23:30

Hi Shelly, wanted to try and offer you some reassurance. Think what you may be feeling is the corpus luteum, this is the swelling on the ovary from which the egg is released. In pregnancy hcg makes it swell and grow bigger so it can produce progesterone and mainain the pregnancy. Just a theory anyway, don't know if you get ov pain, but anyway, stands to reason to me that a swelling on your ovary you're not used to might cause some discomfort. Would also explain why it's one sided, and remember everything is stretching and growing right now to accomodate that little bean you are carrying.
I don't think an ovarian cyst can give you a pos test result.
Hope this offers you some comfort, I know you are bound to be stressing over every little niggle at the moment (know I will be when I get there!) xx

shelly24 · 09/08/2005 20:44

meant to say...twinges i get!!(can't spell)

shelly24 · 09/08/2005 20:43

I'm already paranoid!! keep looking out for any twini get or cramps etc,i've got this feeling on my right lower side, not a pain or cramp or anything...the best i can describe it as is a 'presence'!!?It feels different to my other side, maybe thats where the implantation is??
I get all paniced and think what if its eptopic,or the only reason i've got a positive result is because i've got an ovarian cyst?i've read that both of those things can give you a pos test result too!!!I prob sound really nuts and i know i need to calm down abit, this is all so daunting for me though...sorry to bother you with all my probs when your all ttc still, and here i am,moaning, and i'm already bloody pregnant(hopefully!)
I think i'll be ok when i have a scan, and like you said before c.p,they'll keep a real close eye on me this time.
I just need to get these thoughts out of my head and have alittle reasurrance from someone!!??.x

shelly24 · 09/08/2005 20:35

Thanks c.p,thats really useful to know!
(you are clued up huh!!?),I will prob go bk in that case as i will need the money to buy all the nice baby things i keep seeing(the look in DH's eyes earlier when i showed him the pushchair i wanted said it all!!!.)
I'll let work know that i'm preg when i go bk(it'll prob show by then),and i'll prob start off part time cos i'm based in the baby unit and i'm not sure how i'm gonna handle that just yet!?.x

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 09/08/2005 20:25

or maybe I am not

9 mths mat pay is from april 2007 not 2006 (god if it takes me that long to get pg I will be 40)

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 09/08/2005 20:00

Blimey am I the oracle on mat pay or what?!

Maddyd If I have learnt one thing in life its this

GO FOR IT

best of british what ever you decide........x

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 09/08/2005 19:55

Yes you are

I hope to be pg when i go back and then finish at about 7.5 mths for 6 months leave. You can stay off now till after baby born as mat leave will link the question is can you manage with no pay?(I couldnt )

Your Mat pay is calculated on average earnings during weeks 18 - 25 so its a good idea to go back around this time then when they calculate your pay for next leave you should get a decent amount. I am talking about your companys enhanced pay.The goverment will always pay £102 for 26 weeks (I think this will change in April 06 to 39 not sure will check)

Its upto you chick.I have already told work I intend to be pg by the time I return so they know they have not got me for long......

I will check about mat allowance and get back to you...xx

maddyd · 09/08/2005 19:47

Cp i dont have to wait to ttc, i just thought id give this month a rest because of all the pain killers im on, then once ive learnt to control it with no fat food i can try again. But to be honest iil be back on the job soon. MY opk stick showed posotive today and im umming and arring wether to go for it. Im only on day 9 so its shows i ovulate very early.

Shelly, you need to speak to an advice line about it. Maybe sands will know if not then Citezens advice will.

shelly24 · 09/08/2005 19:37

TBH c.p,i'm not really sure what to do!!?I'll be about 18/19wks by the time i go back(around the same time as you).Thing is i need to go back really don't i?If i take the full 12months,i won't get an m.p after that will i?,so i really need to go back till about march and then leave again!!!!
Do you think its ok to go back pregnant?will i be entitled to the maternity pay again?

HumphreysCorner · 09/08/2005 19:25

maddyd-really feel for you. I saw the hell my mum went through until she had her gall bladder removed-now she eats almost anything without having pain afterwards. The op was completely trouble free and recovery was rapid.

Hello to everyone else-feeling tired with lots of pains down below. Either good news or AF planning a big return. Have 9 pee sticks left. I wonder how many I will have left by the 18th when AF is due .

Byee for now
((xx))

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 09/08/2005 19:16

Cori

The line has to be the same colour or darker than the test line.I got a faint line all the time (not to be confused with pg tests) and on the ov day it was as dark if not darker than the test line.

Maddyd

Sorry if I am asking something you have already told us (had to flip through the last few days as dd at home)Why have you got to wait ttc? Is the pain bad? Did they say they would move them surgically or zap them? So many questions!!! Hope you are ok.Its cr*p not been able to eat nice stuff. After dd I lost weight easily except for last half stone and had to cut back drastically for that.I was HELL to live with (but then dh would say that I am like that all the time, even more so when ttc

Anybody out there waiting to test?? Come on now! We need another bfp to keep us all going.Shelly has set the ball rolling......

Shelly

How many weeks will you be when you go back to work or are you just going to take the full 12mths and stay off?I am hoping to be pg by the time my paid leave is up (24th Oct) so then I can count down to when I can finish again!!!!!

cori · 09/08/2005 18:39

Hi everyone
,
Just got a quick question about OPKs. My OPK showed up a faint second line. Is this still a positive. I am using cheapo generic kits and have lost the instructions.
I am on CD 13, and usually OV around now. But want to be sure.
I have'nt been temping this month.
