It feels like I have been in it for years and years and years but actually its been 3- but the memebership is starting to wear thin now

I am trying to stay positive- eating really well, having acupuncture, listening to quack CDs visualising my ovaries having big ripe eggs- but its hard.

All our tests have been normal apart from a bit of endo which has been blasted away and an adhesion which has been separated. DHs tests are 'marvellous'. I have a DD from a previous relationship- she is 7 next month. And me and DH had a MC 2 years ago.

So why isnt it happening? We have 6 months of trying before we have IVF (Drs are in a rush to get me pregnant before tiny patch of endo comes back- seems a bit silly to me).

I just wondered if there was anyone in the same boat who needs spurring on as much as me??!!!

been trying for nearly 2 years after having my son 5 years ago - feeling extremely depressed and down about the whole situation. constantly being asked do you just have the one (sorry if you havent got the one yet)its like i am an outcast of the school playground.

Oh tortie that is so sad! DS doesn't say much but I have had "wheres my sister" when all my mates have been having their ds2s (mostly girls!) I was watching ds play in the garden by himself the other day and nearly wept! (very sorry to those who are ttc#1 I know that comment won't help you)

I wont join you with high heel wearing cos I just walk as though I have poo'd myself but vwe are doing a lot of weeknds away to help us cope with the no-baby situation.

DD finds it hard to cope with which breaks my heart- she calls herself a lonely child rather than only child

Hi there everyone,
Been TTC for a couple of years too. I?ve had a few gynaecological problems in the past with endo and fibroids, but we are being tested and everything seems to be Ok, just no baby??. Ho hum ?..

Hi there Littletotie, I really know how you feel. Every advert is about babies, and everyone has advice on how to get pregnant. Usually from people who had no problem getting up the duff.
The one that really got me was a girl about half my age with her baby on her hip telling me how to have sex properly. I was very polite and smiled, BUT REALLY I kissing boys round the back of the bike shed when she was in nappies.

Oh and my personal favourite bit of advice, ?just try and relax??.. I hate that one, it?s like another way of making it the woman?s fault she?s not pregnant.

In the mean time who wants to join me in high heel wearing, cinema going and all the other things we can do because we are not pregnant.

Tortie - bless you I know exactly how you're feeling, I started a thread like this a couple of years ago - but that became depressing when there were only two of us left even out of the 'been ttc since forever' gang! I honestly wish all of you the best of luck with ttc, I'm 9wks pg after just over 4 years of ttc and two cycles of IVF. I won't be annoying enough to say anything about that though, I know how it can sound when someone comes back and tells you it'll all be ok! I just want to give all of you a big un-MNy ((hug))

yellowflowers · 29/03/2010 11:25

Yes - almost everyone who was on the original ttc thread I was on has a baby now. Very pleased for them but also very depressing. I am ttc no 1 and it has been a long time.

littletortie · 29/03/2010 06:13

I have tried to go on the TTC threads but just end up comparing myself to women who seem to conceive within a few months and getting depressed- tend to get a horrible feeling everyone is overtaking me- does that make sense??

Trying since Oct 2007. Trying properly (temps etc) since May 2008. So nearly two and half years. Dh first two sperm tests at low end of average. Most recent test absolutely normal. I have pcos but all other tests (ORT etc) fine. Starting clomid and iui next month.

whenIwasyourageplutowasaplanet · 28/03/2010 23:05

Ooo can I join? Me and DH have been TTC for nearly 2 years. We have a DD who is nearly 3 and who was conceived ridiculously easily.

Tests show DH has low sperm count and low motility. He is currently undergoing a barrage of tests. He has given up alcohol and caffeine, is exercising more, taking vits and is as miserable as sin

Consultant says our only hope may be IVF but we would have to pay for it ourselves and we can't really afford it without getting into lots of debt.

So just keep trying every month in the hope of a miracle....tis v depressing.

UmBongo · 28/03/2010 22:38

There is a few of us around, we have been ttc for nearly 2 years, have ds who is now 3, my bloods came back fine, dh has low motility, but has only done one sample as yet. We have to go for a joint dr appt next week. Same really, don't know why not won a baby.

There are a few long haulers on here - the sore ladybits thread is populated with a few! Although that thread seems a bit deserted over the last few days - everyone is obviously off shagging again!

littletortie · 28/03/2010 21:18

Chhhrrrrrist!!!

Am I the only one????!!!!!!

Now I am depressed......
