So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

xx

Hey,hey, hey Jolls David Tennant is just luvverly.
And cool
And "quirky"
And funny... I could go on, but I'm tired and it's late, but I'm right and he'll look good hand-cuffed to Noddy me thinks.

Muser that's great news, rilly glad.

Clareanna POAS. Ah! Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on!
Dontcha know these things come in 4's - at least in 36 hour cycles.

< Mrs.G runs up and pokes Barrenbrooks friend in the head where Gi1da flicked >
No that's not nice, Barrenbrook will be winning her bubba soon.
< stands with hands on hips with gob like cats bum, then remembers lady like pose>

Well Brian did us proud, we won the Quiz.
And the smartie pants who usually gets all the questions before anyone else has a chance was not even there.
Mr.G is a very clever boy and always makes us look good.
I usually scribe, I pay attention more, drink less and earn my winnings legitimately that way.
I also make them look good.

Is anyone a Joss Whedon fan btw?
Mr.G I've found something on t'intenet.

randomimposter · 24/03/2010 22:50

Blimey I go out to the cinema and come back to war and peace... Just marking the new thread, like one of my toms will mark anything new in the house. Classy.

Excoooooose me what's this David Tennant thing? No NO NO. He's freaky to look at. Mind you heard him on Desert Island Discs (long car journey) and he seems a nice bloke... But sexy? NON.

Upduffy? Brilliant.

Gi1da · 24/03/2010 22:27

Muser glad to hear things are getting back to 'normal'. Have party poppers at the ready for when you're back on the action list. That's not pervily over-interested of me is it?

Gi1da · 24/03/2010 22:20

sorry just realised I missed something last time, here we go. Let's follow up with yet more victory dances at the top of the tree and a rowsing cheer of forthcoming optimism from the bottom!

Muser- that's great news- glad the numbers are nearly in single figures- not long to go now

Muser · 24/03/2010 21:31

Missed the new thread. Copying from the last one.

Congratulations Happygirl

I have my latest test results back. HCG levels are 11, which is fantastic. No more blood tests, no more hospital visits. I just have to POAS next week to confirm a negative and then it's all done.

clareanna · 24/03/2010 21:26

Ooh gi1da you wicked temptress- putting such thoughts in my poor deluded head!
Cramps are a bit stronger now so sure RTD will get me tomorrow- in the meantime am planning to waste some more cash on another pee stick for tomorrow morning [clareanna skips off in delusional state]

Gi1da · 24/03/2010 20:52

I think the cork may be hidden under the pee stick....

clareanna · 24/03/2010 20:39

Upduffy does that bottle of zen come with a cork?!!!

Gi1da · 24/03/2010 20:21

Upduffy might still have some left over zen you can borrow you know [ommm]...

Gi1da · 24/03/2010 20:13
clareanna · 24/03/2010 20:11

Hello! This new thread is off to a lubberly positive start - I Likey
minxi sorry you have found yourself here- I did a pg test 4 weeks after I had an erpc after an mmc at the same stage as you, and it was neg by then? Take each day as it comes- it is a hugely sad time that sometimes those who haven't mced find hard to understand - you are in the right place here- although as you can tell we're all a bit giddy about the BFPs!!

shiny three words- mile high club

happy wooohooo!! So pleased for you!!!

I am at the bonkers end of the 2ww- frenetic fantasty symptom spotting, obsessive poas thoughts etc...
Day 34 and cycle usually 34/35 days but was 36 days last month after erpc.

Rational brian - didn't feel this month was good, no good quality slippery cm, too soon etc

bonkers brian- but could still be pg! Mild crampy feelings since sun! No RTD yet! (not due really til tomorrow) Boobs bigger! (prob burger consumption in USA) needing to wee loads! (excess coffee consumption to deal with jetlag) last pg didn't get a BFP until 4 days after RTD was due!!! ( therefore the two BFNs I've got CLEARLY don't count)

arggh!!! (clareanna retreats to rock quietly in the corner dribbling)
westyorkshiregirl long cycles suck- no idea what to suggest we should do to pass the time- take up knitting?!

elmum my hormones / emotional were all over the past after erpc- not sure 10 weeks on they are quite ok yet, so look after yourself- a bit of ranting is good

barrenbrook · 24/03/2010 20:05

Helllooooo all, flying visit from me again, happygirl yey, very exciting! I have to admit being , in the nicest possible way (if that is possible?!)and selfishly would like it to be me next pleasey weasy???? Just before I turn 35 and my stats for having bubbas goes really downhill (apparently according to a delightful 'friend' of mine)

Minxi Welcome. Sorry to hear of your loss. I can't be much help with the POAS thing but as someone else said (sorry can't recall who) don't be too rigid with times and dates as everyones bodies differ.

Gi1da Upbuffy, fab name change, I vote yes!

Who said Louboutins???? Shooooooooooes, I loooooooove shoes! They make me happy

I'm off to bed now laydees, I have been home half an hour and have to get up at half past fecking three for work, fckity, fckity, f*ck.

MrsGazebo · 24/03/2010 20:03

Off to take Brian for a bit of a stretch to our local, have some tea and do the Quiz.
Bye bye everybody, Bye bye.

Gi1da · 24/03/2010 19:46

Helloooo, excusey me, just being a geek and doing some updates....

Mummy369 to 3610 - gotcha

Urd, ElmMum, Hippy - added your details...

Minxi welcome, and Happygirl OMG! f a b u l o u s

and I would like to call for Unbuffy to be hearafter Upduffy.

MrsGazebo · 24/03/2010 19:45

Bloody good mirrors Viv

MrsGazebo · 24/03/2010 19:35

Fairy muff GLB I forgot I'd seen the new one, yes, ok, you can have that one.
I was thinking of the old ones.

Although I have seen Patrick Stewart do a one man show of The Christmas Carol.
He was very good and promptly added to my Silver Fox list

VivClicquot · 24/03/2010 19:34

Hahaha it's all smoke and mirrors MrsG

Oooo, you sound like a right classy berd Viv
Not sure I'll measure up

Goodluckbear · 24/03/2010 19:27

HappyGirl - woo hoo!! I loved your post with all the BFNs, it was quite obviously meant to be BFP - so pleased for you!!

Viv - I hope the thread starter luck is yours and you get up the duff ASAP, and although I know nothing about these things the brown cm I will take as a sign. Tell me your symptoms, and I will spot them for you.

MrsG - have you SEEN the latest Star Trek movie - I am also v. partial to Mr Tennant's charms, but I just love those Trekkie bods, I can practically feel my ovaries popping whenever that one who played Kirk in it came onto the screen.

Big wave to everyone on the new thread, new and old, fingers crossed for lots more BFPs before we get close to 1,000 posts again!!

xxxxxxxxx

VivClicquot · 24/03/2010 19:24

Ooh I'm on FB too but not on the Mumsnet fanpage. I'll try and hunt you both down, but if you get a friend request from a woman in a wedding dress and some red-bottomed Christian Louboutin shoes, then c'est moi... xx

It's called Noddy, after the Cactus that his Dad had for 30yrs which we managed to kill.

On a brighter note, I found a lonesome Goldfish in our pond before.
I thought they'd all frozzed when it was very cold but it must have been hiding.
It is my favorite one too - Dotty Bob.
They were all called Bob
I think it's a Shubunkin.
My Sharona Shubunkin
Not sure why I shared that?
