So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

xx

Oh shit. Cheepz I am so very sorry. That's just utterly shit. Hope you are ok, as ok as can be iykwim.

Alba been thinking of you today and hope you are ok.

What a freaking pants day.

WestYorkshireGirl · 26/03/2010 20:32

Happygirl Sorry to hear about your pains. I had all sorts of weird things too - when I urinated, but there was no infection, when I had a bowel movement (sorry if TMI)! and others besides. They all eventually settled - I hope yours does to.

cheepz Sorry to hear about your news and hope you are taking things easy.

I hope we all enjoy the weekend.

I watched One Born Every Minute last night against my better judgement!I Can cope with the content although I always cry, but it unsettles me if I watch it live and I can't sleep for thinking it should be me and what I would be doing now as my pregnancy developed. Anyway, DH away for the night so so what do I do- watch it at 9pm! I then discovered the other videos on the website and was busy till nearly 11pm and all stirred up! I then had to read for over an hour to tire myself out enough to sleep - I am such an idiot!

Whilst I am on a roll with a long post, can I ask your advice, please?

I have planned a spa day on 24 April for my friend and I for her b/day as I am sick of letting TTC rule my life! I will be on CD37 on this day so just about to test if no RTD as I have long cycles (37-39). Has anyone ever been to a spa before 12 weeks and just not done the hot things e.g. sauna (I understand it's the heat that's the issue and some products) and had a safe treatment e.g. a facial? I know that many people don't bother with a lot of the pre-12 weeks advice re cheese etc so wondered if this is another one of those things we avoid, but it's actually very rare for something to happen?. I would really like to do this, but obviously don't want to take any risks. Any thoughts appreciated....

Off to find a Creme egg now.....

Cheepz · 26/03/2010 19:49

can someone please drop me off the grads list, best lob me on the WTTC

so glad for this thread, was before, am again now, its a safe place to let all the emotion hang out, and lets face it there are not many places like that.

HappyGirl1 · 26/03/2010 18:56

AlbaDeTamble · 26/03/2010 17:54

cheepz I'm so so sorry. You've been back here several times in the last few weeks with wonderfully timed words of support for me but there just aren't any words to make what you've been through today any better. Gutted for you. It's totally awful rotten luck and so so sad.

unbuffy and happygirl some incense and zen-like calm for you two and may your beans be very very sticky.

I'm off home to peruse ski holiday websites with big glass of Sauv Blanc. Cheers to all, will pass round the bottle to anyone wishing to join me.

Unbuffy · 26/03/2010 17:06

It's raining outside.

It's raining in here, too.

Cheepz, so very very sorry. It's totally shite.

Alba, totally gutted for you.

clareanna · 26/03/2010 16:54

Oh Cheepz - can't believe it - so sorry, what crap news, those scans are heartbreaking - will be thinking of you - you're being so strong.

Alba - big hugs to you too - to go from such a high to such a low in a short space of time is hellish. book that ski holiday and enjoy beaucoup de vin chaud - glad you have your DH to help keep you positive.

As for me - RTD has stopped - after one wipe and thinking that was it last night, NOTHING overnight or at all today. have now used all my stash of tests so will just wait and see what happens and when it happens. no very confused as to whether I'm day 2 or day 36....

HappyGirl1 · 26/03/2010 16:22

Cheepz really really sorry to hear your news. SEnding you lots of hugs and good wishes xx

barrenbrook · 26/03/2010 16:09

Oh no, such a sad thread today

Cheepz honey, I'm so sorry, my stomach turned when I read your post. Life is so cruel, I hope you and DH are OK, sending you lots of love. You know where we are if you need us.

Alba Sorry to hear your news too chicken, Here's hoping your DH is right and next month the sticky one will come along. Book the ski holiday! I know I would, something to look forward to.

((((hugs))))

Allthe8s · 26/03/2010 16:00

Cheepz so bloody sorry hun. Here when you need......((((())))) x

randomimposter · 26/03/2010 15:44

cheepz have left you a message on grads thread. Not quite the same day but my due date for my MMC last August was 2 days before I MC this time. It's just shit.

Hope you feel you can come back and join us when you are ready. xx

littlemiss72 · 26/03/2010 15:39

Oh girls, such terrible news today!

Big hugs to those that need them, I'm really sorry to hear such sad news cheepz we've all been there and feel your pain. Bless you hunni, lots of TLC and coffee x

BunnyBaby · 26/03/2010 15:24

cheepz that's really bad, to find out at scan is extra awful, I had the same. My heart is with you and just wish all could be well. Take extra care, it's funny how a coffee feels comforting. I felt exactly the same as I'd cut caffeine out too. Lots of love xxx

VivClicquot · 26/03/2010 15:10

Oh fucking hell Cheepz, I'm so so sorry my love.

That's beyond shit - it never fails to surprise me just how cruel life can be. This is probably THE worst thing in the world to say, but I was keeping my fingers extra crossed for you hoping this one would work out, given everything you've been through.

Really hope you and DH are bearing up okay. You know where we are if you want to rant.

Sending you lots of love,
Viv xx

oh and salt in the wound - today is the day my baby would have been due if my 1st mc last august hadn't happened....

Cheepz · 26/03/2010 14:32

looks like i'll be coming back. just had scan. mmc probably baby stopped growing last week. erpc next wednesday if nothing natural happens before that.

sorry - i know its demoralising when grads return!! its not suposed to happen that way

right - time for a full caff latte...

BunnyBaby · 26/03/2010 14:18

Gosh - quiet on here today.

I think it's RTD so 10 day cycle (only 2 day bleed) may have been breakthrough bleeding. Day 10 ov spots may have actually been day 21 implantation and RTD could be actually at Day 31 (it is not unusual for me to be late by 3 days max unless pregnant - won't test before then).

Just trying to make sense of that which has no sense!

Looking online if today is day 1 I still have a chance of a due date of the 31st December

BunnyBaby · 26/03/2010 12:01

Ooh snap polyanna glad it's not just me!

Happy Friday everyone. Putting feet up on couch whilst DS1 takes his nap prior to toddler group. Glad I don't work Friday's

BunnyBaby · 26/03/2010 11:55

Ok - I'm a scaredy cat here.

We're now 10 days past my ovulation spotting and some brown blood when i wiped this am and cramps (though have been cramping the whole cycle so nowt new there).

It appears to now be gone, and is either:

  • implantation spotting; or
  • start of RTD (at day 21?!)

I guess this is the post-mc world as never had any spotting / cramping mid cycle in the past.

Shall keep you posted how I get on, no more spots during last two loo visits.

Sigh ....

Pollyanna · 26/03/2010 09:42

oh alba i'm really sorry.

I am also in the 2ww now, symptom spotting like mad (would be a bloody miracle with dh refusing to swi or swoi though!). I booked a skiing holiday too - but a couple of weeks ago, hoping that sod's law would apply and I would get pg and not be able to ski! (no logic there I know).

Had a bit of bleeding yesterday and thought RTD was on it's way. (but also spend time reading about implantation bleeding obsessively). I won't be testing early, so have about a week to go (I think, possibly) before RTD would be late.

Allthe8s · 26/03/2010 09:14

Alba so sorry, that snatched away feeling is utter shit. Go book that skiing trip and heres to big round christmas tums ! Big hugs (((()))) x

VivClicquot · 26/03/2010 09:13

Oh Alba, I'm so sorry. Get booking that ski trip and drinking that wine, girl.

My 2ww seems to be passing really quickly - I can't believe it's a week since I got the first on the opk. Have still got pinky cm when I wipe, but have convinced myself it was ovulation spotting rather than anything remotely interesting. And apart from that, no other symptoms to report.

Oh - I had a dream last night that the wife of one of my colleagues was pregnant with twins but that nobody wanted to tell me. Paranoid, or what?!

Anyway, here's to a lovely Friday everyone.
Love to all xxx

Alba so so so sorry to hear your news. That's just devastating but hopefully your DH is right and you will now conceive next month after a great ski trip.

I'm quite nervous myself this morning, ever since MC i've had darts of pain up my middle randomly on and off and have had a few sharp ones today. So very very very nervous about that.. I've booked an appointment with my GP on Monday. I'm now 2-3 days late and no spotting etc but these pains are very worrying. Def not ready for grads list.

This baby making business is one big stress but hopefully worth it in the end

Muser · 26/03/2010 09:05

Really sorry to hear that Alba. Big hugs to you. The not getting a 2010 baby is hard to accept. But we'll have big bellies at Christmas instead. And not because of excess mince pies!

randomimposter · 26/03/2010 09:00

Arsicles Alba . But the ski trip will be brill. The 2010 thing haunted me a bit too.

littlemiss I know what a twit... was up at 4.30 with a raging thirst, and then at 6 making DP's sarnies and flask. DEFO no wine for me today that's for sure...

Morning all x
