So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

xx

welcome scotch
whooop whooooooop very quietly littlemiss

must go and peel some spuds - will pop back later

zayja · 07/04/2010 16:50

Yea littlemiss, was just gonna post that I've been feeling the same, still do! Crampy, backache etc. Now you've got that little sign, isn't it exciting!

Big wooooot to barrenb too! So thrilled for you as it's been a looong time coming!

Cheepz, the job offer sounds tempting, always nice to work for someone who cares - benefits can weigh on your mind, but I'm sure you'll come to the right conclusion!

welcome freezing and scotch, sorry you've got to be here but glad you found the best place for support after mc! playing, ss far as I know ewcm is always a good fertile sign. scotch, I know you've got a lot of time invested in ttc, and it's easier said than done, but I highly recommend un-obsessing about it. This month was the first time I let go of it and started to concentrate on being happy and healthy and got a bfp. If it happened for you recently, it can happen again!

Sorry to hear af got you viv chin up and gear up for next month - it's all you can do. Well that, and have a few drinks

Slimyak, I would check with doc before taking baby aspirin. I was taking it last year and it made me spot for 3-4 days before my period. Just asked nurse if I should go on it now with bfp and history of mc, she said no (but they have prescribed progesterone).

Well, I'm not gone for good, but feeling as I should mosey on to grads thread soon - will be checking in on you gals! XXOO

littlemiss72 · 07/04/2010 16:50

I've been in every room under every light and by every window.... faint line, have to do it all again tomorrow or hold off another day if I can

Cheepz · 07/04/2010 16:27

small whoop for littlemiss thats how they always start - faintest of faint lines small quiet congratualtions might be in order for you missus

littlemiss72 · 07/04/2010 16:25

feck feck feck I have a very very faint fecking line!! Why oh why did I POS in the afternoon!!!!!

Sorry for the rant, as you were ladies

Cheepz · 07/04/2010 15:52

thats what I am going to do littlemisss - he told me just to wait one cycle until next RTD and then try again if I feel ready which I am sure I will!

littlemiss72 · 07/04/2010 15:34

Hi Cheepz good new to offered a job, go for it woman!

This is my second cycle after erpc, I didn't see no point waiting the suggested three months however I was advised of nothing so that's just what others have been told.

I'm thinking of hitting the gym again today but aching a little from yesterday, worse case it will loosen up me limbs a bit Good for you giving it a whirl.!

Cheepz · 07/04/2010 15:22

welcome scotch 36!!!! wow although we count from most recent mc so 4 for you or it gets too demoralising! I'll have a gin and slim if your buying!

slimy what a load of arse - I have had 3 and have DS but still entitled to tests on NHS - go yell at someone! The guy who did my ERPC said to take baby asprin the minute I am pg again as it can't hurt and I have had the sticky blood tests after 2nd mc (friendly doctor who had 7mcs and understood need to do something) which came back negative - he just said do it anyway!

littlemiss did you try straight after erpc? i have been advised to wait but would be interesting to know! hope your test is a goodun either way

hola - hope all going well over there and give my love to the laydees

managed treadmill last night and some bench dips to try and counter bingo wingage... will be doing again tonight even though am not apparently suposed to excercise after eprc for a few weeks!

having a good day, thinking about changing jobs as old boss called me to say sorry about bad news and did i want to go work for him - guarentees I would get pg and have sucesful outcome if I give up my job and maternity benefits and go someplace new where I am entitled to nothing, but fuck it seems like its worth a punt and the change would do me good ... time to invoke sods law perhaps

HappyGirl1 · 07/04/2010 14:44

Best of luck Littlemiss hope you get good news .

littlemiss72 · 07/04/2010 14:29

Hiya barren not yet.. got one for the morning. I don't hold out much hope really as I don't feel pregnant iyswim. Last time I didn't need to test I just knew. Just feel that because I'm late I should at least find out.. a little apprehensive as I be in a pickle whatever

barrenbrook · 07/04/2010 12:21

YOOHOOO Scotch love the name, welcome! Never too late here missy! Sorry you find yourself here hunni however we are a very supportive bunch.

I'll paste you in the list, jump in and join the banter (I'll call it that..) moan, groan and share your chocolate

I'm off to buy a test.. at home (working of course) again today as I'm still feeling very crampy and have no idea what my body is doing! At least if I test I will know either way, never was late before erpc however who knows what all this have done to my cycle. MUST NOT GOOGLE.. is my tip of the day.

Scotchontherocks · 07/04/2010 10:45

Too late to join? (haven't read all 36 pages of messages!)

Totally obsessed at mo and pleased to find am not alone!

Think my stats are

Scotchontherocks TTC#1 UCL 28ish cycle 36 (yes, 3 bl00dy years); cycle 4 since MC at 6+1 CD26

Wish I could think about something else!!!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Unbuffy · 07/04/2010 10:40

Happy come and keep me company on the grads thread - we can hold hands and I can stop lurking on this thread and stalking keeping an eye! It would be good to have another early preggers bod, they all seem much more biggerer and past all that. Very nice though!

Slightly scared look at gollum dancing round a wooden spoon and pretending it's my tummy... eek

HappyGirl1 · 07/04/2010 10:24

Morning Ladies,

Hope you are all doing well this morning.

Urd thinking of you today, you are going through so so much

Barrenbrook - congrats!!! Fab fab fab news!

Well I'm over the two little milestones I had in my mind, the 4 weeks and then the one where it all went wrong last time. I'm six weeks on Friday but I guess I'm ready to go to the Grads list as absolutely scary as that is - just whenever someone gets a chance though.

Feel a bit bad still being on this thread now that I've had a BFP but all of you ladies are just so so nice and so wonderful and have helped so incredibly much I just really want to stay in touch with you all and share your good news to come over the next little while. I'll be reading every day but won't update every day as equally don't want to be getting anyone down cos I know it's tough when someone has a BFP and you are still waiting on one. I really really really hope it works out for all of us. We all deserve it after what we have been through.

Well fingers crossed and here's to a not too stressful next few days while waiting on the 6 week milestone

slimyak · 07/04/2010 09:44

Morning all

Bunny Cheepz be strong and take it one day at a time to get that perfect figure - perfect for ruining in dufferdom .

Did a big walk with DD (2.5) at the weekend and it was a bit far for her so DH and I took it in turns to shoulder carry her. She's just over 2 stone and I thought, Christ this is what it would be like being fully duffed from this starting weight - my feet and knees were killing.

Was very good yesterday food wise and did my at home wii fit workout for 40mins and then it told me to sit down and have a rest - I don't need telling twice .

Barrenbrook I'm so pleased for you. I'm liking your small step goals. I think it's a good way to go rather than worry about the 9 month stretch. When I find myself in your position I shall take a leaf out of your book.

Quick question are those of you recently up duffed or otherwise, considering taking baby asprin with your doctors consent of course? I am planning on asking my GP about it as I've had 3 MC and there is the possibility of undiagnosed sticky blood syndrome, I don't get NHS tests as I have DD. I've heard tell of GP's recommending very low doses of asprin as a just in case. Just wondering

Playingatmotherhood · 07/04/2010 09:34

Thanks for all your advice ladies, you seem like a lovely bunch.

I'm feeling pretty good about things now. I not exactly trying this cycle but not actually doing anything to stop it either. I think it would be harder for me to wait for purely dating reasons (I have irregualr cycles anyhow so I'm never easy to date) but I do know it would make things easier. So I'm kinda taking a middle road, giving ourselves a bit of a break, not worring about too much BDing, getting the rest and early nights instead but when we do BD we're not actually stopping getting pg. So I'm not really trying to catch this month but I can't really face using contraception, think emotionally that would be too many steps back for me, I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone. I'm more desperately hoping I've ov'd so I know AF should be on its way in a couple of weeks and then we can get back in the saddle properly.

Clareanna - Nice to know mid-cycle spotting is quite common post mc. I haven't and won't be using ov sticks. I have 32-40 day cycles so with longer and irregular cycles they are notoriously (sp?) unreliable. My EWCM has always been my most accurate ov indicator and my cue to BD like a mad women

Hippychick - good to know that you think you ov'd about the same time that I think I might have ov'd. I have been hanging round MN far too long not to know all about that book (despite never having actually read it) and I credit that philosophy with the reason I have got pg twice very quickly

Barrenbrook - thanks for the welcome and congratulations on the BFP.

Sorry if I missed anyone.

littlemiss72 · 07/04/2010 08:04

Morning Girls,

Urd thinking of you today hunni, keep strong. I know how hard these times can be. Losing a loved one is never easy, always remember the good times. x x x

Still no RTD.. feels like it's coming as it did yesterday but nothing! Think my mind/body are playing tricks so I'm holding off testing

Awh, ladies, you made me well up, thank you for your congratulations, it means so, so much coming from you all as you've nursed me through the crap and not so crap bits. It's still hanging in there, so far so good, have passed first milestone of 4 weeks, next one is 6 weeks which was when the bleeding started with my mmc. Am going to make drs appointment today to see if I can get any extra help like Zayja Glad to see you've come out of denial lady! jolls thanks for the sloppy smacker, right back at you

freezing and playing welcome, sorry you are here but as I am sure you have already realised the ladies on here are a fabulous bunch.

urd thinking of you today honey. I hope it's not too tough for you and your family. Much love and hugs from me to help get you through it x

Have a good day, see you all later

BunnyBaby · 06/04/2010 22:29

Hello ladies,

Sorry I was missing in hot-cross bun / easter egg action! We had a few days with in-laws and did some jobs round the house too!

BarrenBrook get in girl! Excellent news, I know that this is going to result in a healthy happy baby for you!

Cheepz Slimyak know where you are on the dieting. I've piled on 1.5 stones in the past 12 months. I'm back on weightwatchers as of today (which does work when I'm not eating indian, pizza, chinese and easter eggs and hot cross buns). I can't get the motivation to do alone to easy to follow on-line. I've also enquired to join a Gymophobics which has just opened on the high-street.

I've been following messages, but have missed a few names. I'm not sure who was asking about bleeding after 10 days, and there was another comment on spotting and EWCM. I had this, and although almost the same as a period it was actually breakthrough bleeding. I am usually 28 days and had 31, 10, 21 cycles, which I realised were actually 2x31 days cycles, the 2nd of which had additional bleeding at day 10 which resulted in a CP. Interestingly CP has sorted out my hormones this month, so no spotting (phew).

In the meantime, we're heading for mid-month, and as a result DH is my SWI love slave and doing an excellent job if I may congratulate him myself.

Waves to everyone, and so pleased to see all the BFP's, I'm running along behind you all about to jump on board too.

hippychick66 · 06/04/2010 20:48

urd Will be thinking of you tomorrow. It will probably be the most emotional day of your life thus far and I'm welling up just imagining it and remembering my dad's funeral.

Allow yourself to feel every raw emotion and if you need to cry - do it.

You will probably stop and think, "I can't believe that I'm at my dad's funeral!" several times thorughout the day.

It will sink in eventually and you will be able to talk about him and even laugh about stuff you all did together - it just all takes time.

Wish I could give you a real life hug but will have to make do with this one (((()))).

Catch up with you soon Hun.

urd · 06/04/2010 20:31

Hello all, still here and checking in regularly, got my dads funeral tomorrow so sorry I can't be on for long. Thinking of you all and so pleased for Barrenbrook and Zayja, thats so fantastic. Will get through this week and will catch up soon.
Take care.

Freezingmyarseoff · 06/04/2010 20:17

Thank you for the welcomes. Obviously not that great to be here at all but I feel better for able to share with you.
Next time someone updates the list could you put me on the WTTC list. I couldn't possibly dare to update the list it looks SOOO complicated!

clareanna · 06/04/2010 19:49
