So, I thought I'd take it upon myself to kickstart the new thread. As the title suggests, this is a wonderful home full of the bravest, funniest and most inspirational women on Mumsnet, who are always ready to lend an ear and a virtual glass of wine.

The new thread is kicked off with 3 bfps in 3 days, so here's to more love and luck along the way

has not is.

My plan of going back to bed was shmuckered by MrG arranging himself like a starfish and looking rather comfy, I think him and the cat are in alliance.

Looks like I'm back on track with R2D2.
D28 and he arrived on time.
I don't actually mind as I'm glad things are getting back to normal.

I'm tempted to be rebellious and start TTC this month as I've only been advised to wait for another 8-12 normal HCG results.
I've had 4...

The Consultant did say if the levels were normal it's possible to call Sheffield and discuss trying earlier as they are aware of my age, Nk Cells and impatience

I'm thinking by the time I've asked, they say ok and we do start it'll be another month and who's to say it'll happen this month anyway? Or the next.

Sorry it's a little early to absorb all that isn't it.

I'm off to look at AIBU till someone wants to play with me

Aka MrsG

clareanna · 11/04/2010 08:08

Never too early! Maybe had a glass too many last night- survival strategy for PIL

PrettyVacant1 · 11/04/2010 07:52

Bit early for sauce innit Clare?
I was woken by my furry alarm clock at 6.45am, it is now eaten and is curled up on my bloody slanket!

I'm going back to bed with my iPod and a cup of tea.

Quiet whoops for GLB! Xx

(Aka MrsG)

clareanna · 11/04/2010 07:39

Is that even a word? Been up since stupid o'clock with ds who is full of the joys of spring, and I am full of the joys of red wine

clareanna · 11/04/2010 07:37

Glb (tenative) great news!

Goodluckbear · 11/04/2010 00:19

Happy - hope you are ok, thinking of you tonight.

Back from hols and so much to catch up on - hi to everyone who's joined the thread, glad you found your way here.

Congrats to Zayja and Barren!! Littlemiss - wish I'd been online last week, sounds like you had a shocker.

I'm going to tentatively say I have a faint BFP - so I was wrong about having PMT symptoms. Hope that if the bean sticks around it'll forgive me for drinking all the red wine last week. Can't do anything about it now anyway.

Sorry to not namecheck properly, I'll get online again on Monday, big hugs to everyone, especially Happy and everyone new.

xxx

clareanna · 10/04/2010 23:46

Oh happy - Nothing self indulgent about it- it's why were all on this thread- to listen and share and support each other. I truly hope it's all ok- try to relax and stay positive (almost impossible I know). take control and phone the EPU first thing in the morning x

Gi1da · 10/04/2010 22:59

Happy huge hug

randomimposter · 10/04/2010 22:20

happy, exactly what MrsG said. Thinking of you.

PrettyVacant1 · 10/04/2010 22:14

Happy I honestly don't know what to say.
When was the last time you tested?
Which day?

Can you get to a EPU and ask for bloods?
Stay positive, I have everything crossed for you.

HappyGirl1 · 10/04/2010 21:06

mumsie123 · 10/04/2010 19:53

he he thank you pretty we are going to book it, it's only a weekend away in Auguat cant wait first time away the night from DC.

I think we may start trying in May, this is going to sound a tad mad, but i'm going by the lunar chart (which worked for me both times) and it sais a girl, only because i heard it's less common to MC a girl, silly i know and daft but i would do anything to avoid going through all the heartache again
i know that it proberly wont make much diffrence what will be will be, i just want to try and be a bit incontroll of something i have no controll over .. does that make sense?

PrettyVacant1 · 10/04/2010 19:31

It's completely normal Mumsie and although you may not feel it now time is a great healer.
You can't put your life on hold
Book it, give me the Yellow Pages, where do you want to go?
I'll book it.

Freezingmyarseoff · 10/04/2010 19:20

mumsie Sorry that you've found yourself here but it's a good place to be to share whatever you need to. (i've only been on here for a week or so, but I find it really good to read everyone's posts)

I totally understand about starting again, take all the time you need. We've decided to wait a couple of cycles before trying again (partly on doctor's suggestion) and I actually feel quite relieved to have the space IYKWIM (...plus some large amounts of alcohol ) but that's just me. Everybody is different.

mumsie123 · 10/04/2010 19:18

Thank you prettyvacant1 it's really silly because i keep thinking if we try in may and we have booked to go away fro the weekend for out anniversaire what if i have another MC , it's really silly i never used to think like that, is that normal?

xx

PrettyVacant1 · 10/04/2010 19:13

Hello Mumsie so sorry that you've found yourself here, but it really is a good place to be if that makes sense.
Only you can decide when you'll be ready, don't put any pressure on yourselves.
It does get easier I promise.

mumsie123 · 10/04/2010 18:22

Thank you all for making me feel welcome.

My MC was so early i had only just found out and then 4 days later started to bleed, so i'm hoping things may have gone back to normal but me and DH are going to leave 1 or 2 months so that we can be emptionaly ready incase the worst happens again

I just hope that it isn't the start of a very hard road.

I'm sorry for everyone on here, i haven't read all the thread's as there are so many but some of the stories are heartbreaking.

I'm scared to start again and still dont know if we will 100% all you ladies who have are amazing and hopefully i can learn a few things on here nd pick myself up again.

PrettyVacant1 · 10/04/2010 18:19

Have to be quick as Dr. Who is on in a min,
Clareanna work I stood up for myself, they listened, they consulted, I got to read the Regional Manager a little better, we spoke (several times)he got to read me.
They backed down, I am going to another store which is doing well to work along side a great team and shadow an experienced, well respected manager who won't screw me over and I feel more positive and appreciated.

Phew! And breathe.
Oh and it's the Sheffield Postie I feel sorry for.

Back after Dr.Who
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

clareanna · 10/04/2010 18:04

Mrsg- tell tell- what happened with work?

clareanna · 10/04/2010 18:02

Hi Pollyanna, my 2nd rtd after erpc was also heavier and far longer than normal , but no clots or cramping during. Big hugs to you- take care and I hope everything is ok

Mumsie- welcome to the thread and sorry for your loss. Most soca I talked to said wait one cycle, but most of is on here have experienced a few weird cycles post mc and a feeling that not everything is quite back to normal. personally, I felt desperate to get pg again after mmc in jan, but now realistically I think it will take my body a bit longer to be back on track.

Red - glad you had a lovely honeymoon

Malteser- fingers and pee sticks crossed for you

O, mrsg- good to see you back and still weeing in envelopes- your poor postman. Great news on your levels, hope you get the green light soon

Pollyanna · 10/04/2010 16:00

sorry cross posted with you redheadgal.

Redheadgal · 10/04/2010 15:59

Whoops, sorry for the random *s

Pollyanna · 10/04/2010 15:57

hi Mumsie, sorry you're here, but welcome. I have found this thread very useful (first mc in Feb).

Anyway, I am in a panic, so sorry for tmi...

2nd period after mc, first one very light, now into my 9th day - it is getting heavier, I am getting breathless again like I'm anaemic, and just passed a huge (well not that huge but ysim) livery clot. cramps quite bad yesterday and today again. I've just phoned epu and have to do a pregnancy test (dh getting it for me), but might have to go back in this evening if it carries on.

But I had 2 scans after mc and was told there were no "retained products" - could they have missed anything? What are the other symptoms of retained products? Sorry for all the questions - I'm panicky because I feel so awful again, but also because I'm meant to be going on holiday on Monday.

Redheadgal · 10/04/2010 15:56

Hello Ladies,

Sorry for the silence. DH and I were enjoying a belated honeymoon. Not quite as we'd planned, since we'd planned to be 14 weeks pregnant, but wonderful nonetheless and just what we needed after the last 3 weeks. I've brought plenty of turkish delight and baklava back from Istanbul so help yourselves!

[waves to LadyBee, Curlylox and Mumsie123]

Keeping fx for you Malteser Mumsie, I don't know about things being 'safe'. I had a mmc three weeks ago and we're ttc asap. I don't expect it'll happen immediately - god knows when I'm going to ovulate next. People choose to wait for all sorts of reasons, but it's really up to you. We're going to take it easy during the WTF cycle - if it happens, it happens and if it doesn't we'll try in earnest during cycle 1.
