Just checking in quickly - thanks for all thoughts and hugs, they are much appreciated

Moon I had a look at a site yesterday that gave advice on what colour wedding dresses will suit what colour skin. Meant to bookmark it and post link, but have gone and lost it now. Will check back and see if I can find it again... Basically it said (I think) that ivory suits all skin tones, and that also a warmed almost coffee colour looks good on pale skin. Like cupcake said too, I think a goldish colour would work. Have you decided on what kind of style you'll go for?
Please come and share your worries if you're feeling down, all of us on this thread have been through tough times and the lovely thing is that we're there for each other no matter how big or small our worries are. We are all very lucky to have so many people who care x

Barbie Phew re pics, I have been trying to persude dh to back ours up for ages now but he seems to think I should learn to do it Am a bit clueless on computers I really hope the jabs went okay today - I remember ds having his first ones, I sobbed for about an hour afterwards, but he was fine after a couple of minutes!

Mermaid How do you always know exactly what to say? Whatever you post always seems to strike a chord with me. I think you are wonderful too. I really hope you're doing okay, can't believe that yet again you're in the midst of such uncertainty.
I was going to cancel my counselling sessions after having a bit of a manic high the other day, but do think I need them so will go. Re rib, well I managed to drive yesterday for the first time in almost three months as I had to collect ds from school, but unfortunately it really hurt my rib so it was very painful last night and even more so today. Am taking strong painkillers every few hours, but it doesn't seem to be making that much difference. At least it's taking my mind off other things hey.

I'm afraid I just don't have the brain power to post any more - my brain seems completely full at the moment and is failing to retain even the smallest piece of information. I even forgot FIL's birthday on Thursday which is so unlike me.
Have a wonderful friend (met through MN actually) who came round on Thursday and again today, bringing lunch and chat with her. She has helped so much and am feeling slightly more upbeat. Am sure it will continue to be a rollercoaster, but I am aware just how lucky I am to have such support, from you all and also friends in RL. Thank you xxx

cupcake happy shopping again

blue have a lovely day tomorrow, and can't wait to see a pic of B in his robe

moon lovely moon, you have real troubles too and it does sound like you are feeling quite alone at the moment, but we are all here, come talk to us

mermaid as cupcake says, yay to no cramps and pain. Will you try and get another scan next week, or are you waiting til the 5th, it's good that they've given you n open door policy

barbie what a relief that you can get most of your photos back. Hope D is ok with her jags

Not much to report here, both boys are behaving just now, hence me being on here for a sneaky peek

Hi mermaid I love your posts, you're so lovely. Thumbs up to no pain and cramps. Now get clearing that desk!

Ooh yes blue have a lovely christening

moon I am v pale too and have always hated it! My dress was creamy, sort of almost gold which seemed to work. I also had my bridesmaids in chocolate brown so that warmed everything up a bit oooh day 26

iggy they made you watch birth videos? I would have been in floods of tears if we'd had to in any of our classes.

Off out for 'last few bits' today...car seat and nappies, sort of essential! I can't stop buying more things for my hospital bag though, at this rate I'll need an entourage when I arrive.

mermaidspurse · 24/04/2010 11:36

monkey as a somewhat old hand at the brave post I just wanted to send you out masses of careful hugs (how are your ribs) and thoughts. I am glad that you have some councelling sessions. It does feel theraputic to talk without feeling you are burdening someone iykwim. You have been through such trauma and somehow find the effort to walk and talk and cook a meal and I think you are wonderful. hold on hard, we won't let go.xx

barbie I am so sorry you have lost a bit of your history with your photos. We have all rushed out to get thingys, well it's on my list. How can devon be 2 months
I hope her jags (courtesy of blue) don't make you all shed too many tears.

blue Thinking of you all at the christening and hope it goes with a cherubic smile and lots of posh sandwiches.

I just feel like I am in a void of nothingness at the moment. Still going through the motions of being 7+1. No pain, no cramps which is good but also no feeling sick or anything else much apart from hurting boobs.
I am meant to be clearing my desk so that dh can knock another bit of the wall down.man I think, when in doubt take a sledgehammer to something!

Hope everyone has an ok weekend, love to all our cyber nephews and neices and their exhausted mums. A 'have a nice day' to our intrepid holiday girl eating jello and peanut butter sandwiches. Back rubs and cold foot spa to large panters and a big glass of wine, a big fingers crossed and some factor 45 for moon

Computer is now back

Pictures are all lost

Thankfully cos im such a proud mummy i had taken so many pictures and emailed them to so many people i have 95% of all pictures being emailed back to me so i can restart my albums again, and thankfully dh backed up the computer just after Devon was born so we have all of our pictures apart from the last few weeks...

On the plus side the Mac has been uploaded with the newest softwear so hopefully it wont happen again.

Im going to to read and repost a little later, im off to the hospital for Devons 2 month checkup. Injection day today so daddy is coming with me, while i hide in another room and try not to cry myself

mermaid and monkey i have been awake since 2am and i have been thinking about you both constantly...all my love and best wishes are being sent to you both.

I will write more personals once back a little later.

Happy weekend to you all xx

BlueMoon1981 · 23/04/2010 20:21

Evening girls, happy weekend

Sorry for not being around as much as usual, i have been a bit recently, no particular reason, just feel like i am waiting for something that will never happen and it got me down a bit. There are girls with real troubles on here so i didnt want to butt in with mine when in the grand scheme of things i am happy (ish) and healthy.

neeko welcome back, a post to rival curly's

monkey please dont feel like a fraud, we sadly all know more than most how difficult it is, how it hits you when you least expect it, and how it takes over your life. the very fact you are here and posting and letting us guide you through it is a sign you are on the right track. it sounds like a cliche but just give it time, and dont expect too much from yourself, you have had a rough ride and we are here to help you.

mls and blue its funny how you imagine people isnt it? i am indeed blonde (naturally but also highlighted) and very pale, i always used to hate it and desperately wanted to be tanned and dark haired, but i have accepted who i am now, and no longer even try fake tans cuz i just look silly! my mum tells me i am pale and inteesting like a porcelain dolly so i guess i cant really wear a white/cream dress or i will look like a ghost?

louey hope you are ok and getting rest and chocolate and lots of hugs

must catch up with you all properly over the weekend, i never seem to have time, how will i ever manage if i have dcs too? lots of love to you all xxxxx

cd 26 today

iggypiggy · 23/04/2010 11:49

Hello all - am very cheery and happy today cos it's Friday and it's sunny!

cupcake yes - we had the first NCT class this week and also had hypnobirthing class - both v. good! Amazing to watch the videos of the births in the hypnobirthing class! Hope you not so worried about the leg length - I do tend to think that medics are cautious - so if they were worried they would have said x

vajazzlingvajayjay hope you feeling more cheery today?

MLS I v. much laughed at the idea of a branston - was imagining pickle... House news is non existant - think housing market gone to sleep around us - nothing seems to be selling... also hurray for another milestone for you - stopping the progesterone!

Neekothemilkdispenser wow am impressed at the long post! love the idea your DD's are in cahoots I am well and happy at the mo - something I never thought I would be when I first got that positive test!

jools have a fab holiday!

Everyone else - hello & much love!

VJay · 23/04/2010 11:20

LOL at your dd1 neeko, 'get your boobies out' love it

4ever I had loads of painful cramps towards the end of my pg, thought I was going into labour at times, I did feel rough with it. Still don't know what it was but all was fine. I didn't watch the programme on the end, there do seem to be a lot of them at the moment. I watched one once and cried, so do tend to avoid them.

cupcake the list of baby things does seem never ending, hope you get what you need today.

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 23/04/2010 09:31

Wow Neeko I'm in awe at such a long post one-handed! I will have to learn all these skills Lovely to 'see' you and at your dd1.
Lovely date night thanks. We're going to try and go away for the night bank hol weekend too (somewhere nearby!!)

Thanks all for reassurance re legs; I know they would have said if they were concerned but just can't help tying myself in knots. Lol MLS loved the flamingo pic; they really are ugly!
I had read that boys have shorter femurs..interesting!

4ever here's my hand for the scan. I've been having cramps too; like mild period cramps especially in the night but they don't feel like what people describe Braxtons as..don't think I've had any BHs. My bump has definitely dropped, movements are much lower & I can't cross my legs comfortably anymore!

jools have a lush relaxing holiday!

LBM you must be shattered still working, not long now. We don't have a 'nursery' either just lo's chest of drawers in the spare room and cot is in our room.

iggy eep to 27 weeks are you guys doing an NCT class?

monkey just huge huge hugs to you and well done for being so honest about your feelings...as others have said, you can say what you like here. You are not a fraud you're just a very brave lady and Mum.

First baby of our NCT group was born yesterday, makes it all a bit scary and real! I'm off to town today for yet more things...every time I tick something off the list I think of 3 more things we need

Neeko · 23/04/2010 08:53

Apologies for typos but that was all done one-handedly

Neeko · 23/04/2010 08:51

just took me an hour to catch up!Knew there was a reason why I was on here 14 times a day while at work . Guaranteed now I've caught up i won't get peace to post and I have so much to say. I'm missing you all and suffering from MN withdrawal

DD2 was crying lustily yesterday and I was sitting on my hands to stop me from lifting her prematurely when DD1 put her hands over her ears and shouted "Mummy will you just get your boobies out and feed her!" Seems that the girls are united in what my most important function is...

Monkey Well done for posting. As others have said, no one expects you to cope yet. Think seriously about the ADs as they can kick start a process that your body is incapable of at the moment and anything that helps has to be a good thing. Grief is overwhelming and you're grieving for such a lot Huge hugs to you.

Mermaid know we've texted but hope you're bearing up today. Know you're protecting yourself by not daring to hope, so we'll do all the praying, hoping and finger crossing for you.

4ever good luck today. Won't be long now til she's in your arms and all these worrying scans will be reduced to nothing more than the start of her photo album

Vjay don't beat yourself up. You cope really well with everything and rarely complain. I'm sure both your boys think you're the best mum in the world.

MLS has your DH ever turned down a game of golf?!? Very excited that it's all working out for you and your possibly pink bean!

cupcake Me? Hassling? Hope you enjoyed your date night. Now stop googling and remember that too much info is not always a good thing. Not long to go now. Tankini at the ready? So excited for you.

Blue Can't justify online shopping as we live too close to all the supermarkets. I know I'm my own worst enemy. Beautiful pic of Ben. Have a lovely christening with the gorgeous robes. Last night's Grey's was ace!

Moon hope you're ok?No problem too small to be shared on here.

Jools happy and guilt free hols.

iggy? wow time is flyong. Hope you're well.

Louey sorry you needed another op. Hope you're recovering and have a good time at the ILs. Maybe a change of air will make the DTs sleep in...

PFJ let it go re that woman. She's not worth it.

LBM yay to mat leave. You always sound so chilled. Enjoy your nesting.

Curly How's the colic? I'm totally in the sleep deprived club too.

Barbie bout pics. Hope they can be ecovered.

Sabs Wow sounds like you're well on your way to a six pack. So impressed.

BQ Are you out there? Hope you're ok.

Gracie and MrsKate Hope you're managing to get out with the prams together.

I've been walking DD1 back and forward to nursery this week. The fresh air has been good for us all and today I've managed to comfortably fasten my fat-day pre pregnancy jeans even though they'd just been washed so I'm happy. I'm half a stone off my pre pregnancy weight for DD2 and two stone off my pre pregnancy weight for DD1 It's going though...

Hellos and hugs to anyone I've missed. Dead pleased I managed a decent post at last!

4everhopeful · 22/04/2010 22:24

Its better now! DH just finished wardrobe, just hung a few outfits up & am completely melting! Toooooo cute! Nighty night hon! Dont know how much sleep this weebles gonna get tho?!

MummyLovesSadie · 22/04/2010 22:03

Well personally I've never had them but they are supposed to feel like your tummy muscles are going all tight. Oh & don't worry, if you were in actual labour you would definitely know about it!

Right I'm off to bed now, night night....

...ZZZZZZZZ

4everhopeful · 22/04/2010 21:53

im sure i should be having them by now but i dont know if i have or not? Its v hard not knowing whats what!

MummyLovesSadie · 22/04/2010 21:46

4ever try not to worry too much about the cramps, I'm sure they are one of those normal pregnancy twinges. Yesterday I kept getting a kind of fizzy feeling to the right of my belly button that felt like a trapped nerve & tonight I sneezed & it felt like I'd been sliced in half right through my middle.

Maybe you are having a few Branston's?

4everhopeful · 22/04/2010 21:30

Btw Vjay hope u got to see the autism thing, seems fairly positive... Im also wondering if crampy pains are Dds big head engaging or just bearing down? Advice appreciated! X

4everhopeful · 22/04/2010 21:25

Mls you stop the progesterone at 16wk & im still on the aspirin, but think im meant to stop at 34wks which is 2moro! Seein consultant on thurs so will wait for his say so.. My girls femur is about 115th percentile! Totally off the scale, am hoping her weight is just cos shes gonna be a longun like me! Dh is just finishing wardrobe now bless him, hes cooked & cleared up dinner too, im a blessed lucky wifey! Tryin not to worry about heart scan 2moro.. Im havin wierd cramps, had them before, think its more trapped wind/bit of constipation? Quite painful, as said not 1st time, but is it normal?

MummyLovesSadie · 22/04/2010 21:02

Monkey please don't think that any of us are expecting you to cope right now. All we can do is be here for you, try to understand how you are feeling & do our best to lift your spirits. We all feel for you & you know you are in the right place here with us.

Cupcake sorry I scared you with the leg length thing - no as far as I know it's got nothing to do with downs. SO STOP GOOGLING! All I meant was that they had to measure the femur twice as it was freakily long & they thought they had measured it wrong the first time! Maybe you are having a boy as their legs are shorter than girls & maybe I'm having a girl? Or maybe I'm just going to give birth to a flamingo?

Iggy you really are a font of knowledge! Any news on your house?

LBM you are so laid back.... is that what happens when you are on dc no3??!

4ever how is the nursery furniture looking?

Neeko is still alive, just not getting much sleep & being milked to death.

My consultant emailed me today to say I can stop the progesterone now, hurrah. Does anyone know when I can stop taking the baby aspirin??

littlebellsmum · 22/04/2010 19:42

V quick message to let you know I'm still here - thanks for asking 4ever, no nursery done ( baby is going in spare room and we will try and rearrange one my parents go home at the weekend), no hospital bag packed and whilst I have all the baby stuff now I want, it is all in the loft untill I finish work at the end of next week. And then my first job on mat leave is to sort the baby stuff out, pack bag, sort babies room etc

monkey you are still here = you are coping. Hope the counselling helps - you have been through a nightmare recently and I think you're coping much better than I would be

MLS Pleased that it is better news - we need more good news on this thread

mermaid I hope that you just ovulated late this month, you again deserve good news..

Hello to everyone else and I hope to be back for more personals over the weekend

VJay · 22/04/2010 17:53

jools have a lovely holiday

OP posts:
VJay · 22/04/2010 17:51

monkey you are not a fraud and if you were coping magnificently then we'd know that something is wrong. What I'm trying to say is that what you are feeling and thinking is very normal for all that you've been through which is a lot! The counselling is a very good idea, and make sure you let it all out so they can help you.
I know for a fact that if I'd been through what you've been through, I would be back on antidepressants, I know that I would need them to help me through. I nearly went on them after the 1st mc, but was so desperate to get pg again, that that kept me going.
You are very brave and so glad you can talk to us about it all. Please feel that you can talk to us anytime on here, of via text, my number is on the list now. Remember that's what this thread is for, to help and support each other. I certainly wouldn't be where I am today without it!

Hi Ladies.

Just racing in to say hello and goodbye as I've been frantically packing to go away tomorrow (phew !) and am just about to take DP out to dinner, as a kind of apology for leaving him home alone on his birthday next week

So, huge hugs to Mermaid and Monkey especially. Love to everyone else. I shall lurk if I can - am in Washington till Tues, then New York to Sat night - flying back to land early Sunday 2nd, so will "see" you then if not before.

Another non-event cycle here - DP unable to perform and the months are slipping away. Tomorrow is a year to the day since my last MC. Am slowly getting reconciled to never having children.

Sorry for lack of personals again - have just run out of time - blame Facebook Farms

iggypiggy · 22/04/2010 16:50

4ever I knew you would have researched it! hmmm... am trying to think of what might be a nice dessert for you I guess fruit is allowed? Maybe tinned fruit and yoghurt? Anyway - I hope you find some stuff you like to eat x
