Felling v sick so can't write much, but just wanted to say thank you so much for the reassurances and hand holding, it's muchly appreciated. Iggy will have a look at those links, thanks
Am trying to stay calm but am terrified it's all going to end badly...

Neeko Hope you're doing okay, at least one contraction is better than none Let's hope it's the start hey!

Haven't managed to say hi yet to PFJ, so sorry to read what you've been through. You sound like you're being very strong. I know someone with one fallopian tube, and she's managed to conceive very easily, three times. In fact the last one was an accident so she's very shocked!

Really have to go - sickness has got worse again since hitting 12 weeks on Friday, it's an absolute nightmare and I can't even open my mouth to speak. Am really hoping it goes soon, am getting thoroughly fed up!

Love to all, and will try to come back on when I can xxx

Morning all - I felt like it was time for a spring name change

Do I look different like this?!

ThePFJ · 24/03/2010 11:40

Vjay I am loving that you are using the camera. I have mine within reach too!

VJay · 24/03/2010 11:31

Hiya, lots of catching up to do

neeko lol at your one contraction, that's pathetic , why don't you try doing absolutly nothing, maybe babyneeko likes all the rocking and movement you create, so go and put your feet up and eat mini eggs

blue it is all guess work, I bought a tin of SMA on Monday, now Ajay is back on the boob full time again

barbie ds1 took a dummy fine for me where as Ajay completely refuses, I've bought loads of different ones and he's just not interested, he's a thumb sucker. He didn't start sucking his thumb until he was a couple of months old though, then he settled himself a bit. It's all trial and error

mermaid are you on MN strike? Hope you are ok

pfj hope you are ok, everything goes through your mind when you mc, we all want answers as to why it's happened so we can avoid it and have a successful pg. Most of the time we don't get the answers though. A few of us on here bought the Miscarriage book by Lesley Regan and found it very helpful.

monkey thinking of you

moon big hug to you, what cd are you on?
I wasn't on here yesterday as I spent the day playing with my video camera, thanks for the kick up the bum there, I had great fun and got some good footage of both boys. I've decided to leave it lying around so I can just pick it up whenever I feel the need

Big cheery waves to you all xxx

morning all,

Quickie while Ben is post-feed puggled.

Neeko -damn it I'm out of the sweep . Good advice from LBM - to do opposite of rushing around. Did you try the sex option yet or are you holding out until your 10 days over .

barbie - great advice from Neeko re dummy. Ben refused it and boy I wish he would have sometimes when he was screaming trying to get his wind up. I've read the best way is to place dummy on their tongue so they can have a wee feel. Good Luck hope it gives your (.)(.) a wee rest.

Embarrasing admission alert - I still suck my thumb and so does my big sister .

Monkey - hope you've been able to lurk and are reassured re: nuchal fold. We don't get them up here in Scotland - one less things to worry and fret about . Great news though that your 12 weeks

I had a terrible day yesterday, B threw up at every feed, really fretful etc. and had bene up four times the night before - I was . Went to BF support group and they are running a pilot one to one clinic on a Friday to help bf mums . Of course B was only up twice last night and has fed like a dream today - typical. My problem is same as DS1 in that I have too fast a flow (or so I think) and B gulps it down creating wind and pain etc. But the thing with bf is its all guess work as he might just be a colicky baby. Starting to contemplate introducing one FF at @ 10pm to give me a break and hopefully have him stretch out a bit..

Had my first mini packet of mini eggs on Sat - shared them with DS1 and he was converted .

Better go for now x

littlebellsmum · 24/03/2010 10:09

hi neeko This LO is really making you wait isn't he - I agree with the others, got to be a boy to be so difficult! Good that you got one contraction - maybe you should try the opposite approach today, sitting on the settee with your feet up , watching crap telly and eating chocolate?

Barbie Persevere with the dummy - mine never really had them as DH hates them but with DS we did try a couple of times and it took a few attempts before he started using it properly. This was one of the cherry teat ones as I think I'd been told they were better for the teeth. But having said that, I really don't know as mine never had them - DD used her thumb and DS his fingers but would have been happier with a dummy imo.

Got to go - working from home and "lovely" boss , asked yesterday if I can get enough done at home.. Cheeky . Clearly he can't!

Neeko · 24/03/2010 09:27

You can easily get them over here in all the supermarkets and stuff so if you can't find them there at least you don't have long to wait (and you can stock up on mini eggs at the same time! )

barbie1 · 24/03/2010 09:24

thanks

the ones i got yesterday are cherry teat style, they were the only ones i could find for newborn...maybe she dislikes them too. ill search for the advent ones

Neeko · 24/03/2010 09:11

Hi Barbie The offer stands after you leave the UK. Nothing worse than having a notion for something and you can't get it.

DD liked the Avent dummies and would never take one with a cherry style teat. Maybe try it dipped in a little bit of expressed milk? If you have any left.

barbie1 · 24/03/2010 09:04

hi neeko bless you for offering but im back in the uk next thursday so i think i can wait until then

Come on baby neeko, its my sweepstake day and i must win!!!

The doctor also recommended a dummy to also help with the difficult poo problem....i bought one yesterday but she refused it thinking prehapes the teat taste funny or is too big

Neeko · 24/03/2010 08:48

Morning! Still here Had one lousy contraction at 5.15 last night after scrubbing floors, walking, eating pineapple, bouncing... yada yada yada - then NOTHING! Think I'll still be carrying this one when he/she's 16!

Moon Sorry to hear your news but it's not over til the evil with flies in. Still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Barbie I'll post you some mini - eggs too if you email or text me your address They are half price at Asda just now! (Sorry!) Have you considered giving Devon a dummy? It sounds like she is using you for comfort a lot of the time and since she'll take a bottle there's little risk of nipple confusion. I know lots of people don't like them but they are supposed to cut down the SIDS risk and will gve you both some relief. DD gave hers up no problem at 2.3 and it was far easier to get rid of than a thumb! Gracie above advice is for you too.

PFJ You've had such a time of it and your poor bum! Maybe there was something going on with your immune system, unfortunately you'll probably never know. Glad for you that that part's over with.
DH and I are fine now. He's a great guy really but so hard on himself and - like all men- can be blinkered by his own to do list. Still it takes one perfectionist to love another and to do lists are my specialty.

MLS glad you got to see doc and are on the mend. It's much harder to be pregnant when you have a toddler already and even worse if one of you is ill.

Hi to everyone else. Mermaid have you taken up skating yourself???

GracieGirl · 23/03/2010 21:34

Moon - big hug. fingers crossed for you that next month you conceive your Christmas baby.

BlueMoon1981 · 23/03/2010 20:06

barbie how sweet that you woke up thinking of me, however not wanting to rain on your parade but my lower back ache started yesterday, so i am out for this month why is it taking so long this time round, sometimes i wish we'd never even started trying for a baby, all this pain for nothing and it never ends and you have nothing to show for it. Then you get stupid programmes like Eastenders who show abortion scenes and i for some reason i have to sit and watch it

sorry for me post

GracieGirl · 23/03/2010 18:15

Barbie do you want me to post you some mini eggs? I have every sympathy, Isabelle only giving me 20mins-an hour between feeds during the day. Today I have given up and just stayed in bed and let her latch as she pleases (which is all the time!)

MLS's friend Louey I'm sorry to hear you've had a miscarriage, please do join us when you're ready and we'll do our best to get you through it.

ThePFJ · 23/03/2010 16:39

eew.. baby poo. Poor you...

I'll come over and help you clean up....

xxx

barbie1 · 23/03/2010 16:35

x post with pfj jope you get some rest too....Our bodies are wierd and totally amazing but sadly they some times can let us down try not to think too much about it all, or you will end up all muddled and confuzzled! Though easier said then done when you wish for something to blame....

Can you stop going on about mini eggs...i cant get them anywhere! i want some sooooooo badly

barbie1 · 23/03/2010 16:31

They are might have to resort to bottle in a minute...im hot, she is hot, been pooed on twice, sick a few time, where is dh when you need them hey? He just called and wont be home til mid night. Hoping she will give up fighting the sleep and i can get my three hours in before dh gets home.

Hope you are feeling better x

ThePFJ · 23/03/2010 16:30

OMG Lionstar!!! It is so fecking amazing what our bodies can come up with to torture us isn't it? A twisted fallopian tube... I have never heard of such a thing!! Crikey.

Here's some information you may or not find exciting about my life. Something I am not sure might or might not have also caused my ectopic in the first place. I got married last September and a week later I was on the operating table getting an absess the size of three tennis balls removed from my precious ass. A week later yet another, and then another. I went through a month or two without them and then New Years Eve I got another, and so that was removed. Each time a hole 5cm deep and about 7/8 cms wide... like a cavernous hole.. was left in my lovely ass.. which grew back just as fat I might add (there just is no justice in the world is there?). So, they tested me for diabetes and my thyroid functionality. They also tested my immune system and all seemed fine. I was just recovering from absess number 8 - which was treated with antibiotics when I was starting to ttc for this last pregnancy which happened a bit sooner than I thought, since last time took 10 months I thought I'd get started... My doctor seems to think there is nothing wrong with me, and the absesses have stopped now... but maybe if I had a faulty immune response maybe thats why my body tried to reject the pregnancy? Or is an ectopic just an ectopic? Tis all food for thought for me anyways.

Neeko - haven't you popped yet? That row sounds awful, I hope your man starts treating you like a Queen soon. You deserve it!

Barbie - Are you STILL feeding?

Hugs and minieggs for everyone else I am too tired to type now.

xxx

MummyLovesSadie · 23/03/2010 16:26

Hiya Barbie I have a docs appt in half an hour. Neeko's baby is still inside!

Your poor boobs must be well-chomped by now!

barbie1 · 23/03/2010 16:20

waves with her free hand to mls....v quiet here today, any news from neeko, did you get to the docs

MummyLovesSadie · 23/03/2010 16:18

PFJ, Loueybug had her 12 week scan yesterday & found out the baby died at 9 weeks. She's in shock as she still had symptoms. I've said that she should join us & that you are here too.

barbie1 · 23/03/2010 15:38

4 hours later......still feeding

barbie1 · 23/03/2010 11:29

Still here neeko bah.... its defo a boy! They always like to keep the girls waiting!

I never did finish my post on the last thread, i was going to do a mega post but dh came home early so i had to go...

monkey When i hadmy scan the doctor (the one from the royal portland hospital) told me that too much is read into early scans and she didnt recommend us to do the nucal scan
She also said that the 12 week should only be for basic dating and all women should be entitled to a 16 week scan where most things are easier to read/ see.
We went with her suggestion and never had an nucal scan.
I think what im trying to say is sometimes like iggy posted the doctors over complicate things. Im sure on your 16 week scan all will be fine in the mean time we are here to hand hold and get you through the next four weeks. Oh and please dont google!

4ever you have left already but im thinking of you x

cupcake good luck for saturday, does that mean you will be out of contact with us for a while Also remember no lifting and take it easy....i learnt from my mistakes thinking i was superwomen at 34 weeks and did so much stuff to our new villa. It made me soooo tired.

iggy another mover, good luck with house selling, are you moving very far (forgive me if you have already told us )

vjay i googled about the coil (i was thinking of having it again and i found out that you can have a reaction to it, almost like an allergic one, your body starts to reject it thinking its a foreign body...the first symptoms are back ache and pain i hope you have it fixed already by the time you read this....

bq how are you feeling my lovely??? A friend of mine has just told me she is pregnant after 11 years of trying hundreds of tests, ivf x 2 and many many cycles of disappointment. She feel by using clomid...so im positive you will get your happy ending too.

moon i woke up at 3am this morning (not through the baby crying i hasten to add) and thought of you, i have a feeling you will be getting good news soon enough... The last time i had a feeling iggy came back and said she had a bfp!

mls How was convent gardens? I second neeko so happy that you will be in big pants soon

anyone heard from mermaid??? pfj the girls have said everything i would of said to you....men are crap, what else is there to say? When i got my bfp this time my dh said lets not get too excited you know what can happen
He also refused to get involved with my attemps to fall again. It was only after 8 months of having no periods after my mmc and he saw how distressed i was getting that he himself made me a doctors appointment to get myself sorted out, and he has been brilliant ever since His resonning was he just never wanted to see me hurting that much again...so maybe, just maybe dh is looking out for you in his own odd way!

Oh dear boobie time again, must dash ill be back soon xxx

Neeko · 23/03/2010 10:56

Hi all. Clearly I am still here and there's no pressure on this thread for me to give birth anytime soon

Monkey sorry scan wasn't as reassuring as you hoped. They don't do nuchal measurements here so I'm useless with advice, but I am here to hold your hand through the next few weeks.

4ever hope all goes well.

PFJ told you someone would be along with more advuce soon! As you can tell we've all been through it in some way or other and can give you lots of empathy. My DH was also very worried about TTC again and found my MN obsession plus the opks/temping etc quite disturbing (and he didn't know the half of it)He was promoted just befor my BFP and has been working ridiculous hours throughout this whole pregnancy, leaving me to cope with the stress of it all plus working F/T, DD and running the house on my own. He has made the scans etc but has seriously ignored my wobbles by burying his head in the sand. I have quite often felt abandoned TBH and found he hasn't bonded with this baby much. this actually culminated in our biggest ever row on Sunday night where a lot of home truths were shared. There have been times when I thought I wouldn't cope but retreating to our thread on here has always helped and there's always someone to make you feel better. I'd say start TTC when you feel ready and WiseMermaid will tell you your body will know when it's time for a BFP.

BQ Thanks for the update on Jools I figured she was feeling like that as I texted her and she never replied. If you hear from her again, please say I'm thinking of her. Hope you're feeling a little better too.

VJay I had major stresses with DD about Ajay's age as she was taking much less milk than the recommended amount. My HV said it was because my weaning meals were so good and as long as she was eating, I shouldn't worry. HTH.

Cupcake EEK - you move on Saturday! Hope it all goes well and your nesting instincts kick in full force.

Iggy Good luck with the house selling. I moved a year and a half ago and didn't find it too stressful. Think it helps if you move to a bigger place as you can dump boxes and take your time to unpack. Shame the LO isn't here already as the pamper multipack boxes are excellent for packing! You could always buy some clear plastic boxes and use them later fot toys

MLS Can't believe you'll be a big panter this time next week - so happy for you. Hope you got a docs appt today.

Know I've missed loads but must do some cleaning so love to everyone else.
