Sorry all - have changed back to old name - new one was getting confusing!

gracie Whilst I realise I am pregnant - I do think I may be in denial about the fact that you end up with an actual baby - is nice reading your posts, and barbie's posts and everyone elses - because it reminds me what may be coming!

4ever so sorry you weebling - hope you got lots of sleep and feel better today? If it reassures you at all - I have been getting occasional headaches too - and I don't normally. xx

Neeko · 25/03/2010 09:51

Morning!

4ever How are you feeling now? Is it possible that you have a skin tag down there? They are quite common in pregnancy and all the wiping could easily have caused one to bleed. Hope you get some reassurance and the time flies until you DD is full term and out. xx

Barbie Nice to see the old you back and making us laugh. I can still burst into spontaneous laughter when i think of that link to the girl filling her car with petrol

Gracie 9 babies?

Moon I agree with MLS

PFJ You're sounding chirpy. Hope you're on the way up.

Cupcake you'll probably hear me shouting it from the rooftops anyway

Vjay I used to like you...

Off to finish the cardigan, in case that's what the baby is waiting for. Take care all.

ThePFJ · 25/03/2010 07:12

4ever - you sound like I was at your stage of PG when I was with my little Jack. Stress and anxiety can completely magnify everything you are feeling and make it all add up and seem worse. Glad there is no more bleeding, and you are right to get a check up. However I expect you just need some tlc and some rest. Perhaps a how chocolate with whipped cream on top?

Having to wee every 5 minutes if such a pain in the bum, you have my every sympathy there, I remember hating that and trying to stop drinking as much in the evening, but its impossible!

Super huge hugs sweetie xxx

4everhopeful · 25/03/2010 01:40

Im weebling badly, had some teeny spotting but not sure from where? I had physio today for spd & she was pushin on pubic bone, also have ragin thrush, which i was overwiping this morning, & also had bikini wax about 2pm, (but not v close to my bits?) So, it could of been any of those things, & been loo twice since & nothing? Just wierd that it would happen after an hour of sleep, rather than earlier after any of poss oth causes & at least 10 wee trips earlier in evening? On top of that had already been feelin iffy as the last few days have been beyond exhausted, put it down to v bad sleep cos of spd/thrush/heartburn but been feelin weak, dizzy, bit sick, bit breathless, & while tryin to sleep have had headaches which i never suffer from, as well as lack of sleep id put this down to bein told i have low iron, tho not anemic.. I actually called day assessment this evening & they said maybe come in for a check, im kickin myself that i been at hosp both tues for scan & weds for physio & never mentioned it... Just put it down to normal preg symptoms, however after miniscule spots lay in bed sick with worry that i have no bag packed, how to get to hosp, what to wear, my hair needs washing, have no cash so need the bank, visualizing all scenarios with mind racing.. Bubs has been moving thankfully & at scan on tues was told she is 4lb 9 & if she came now would be fine, so holding onto that, but still freaking, worryin if something up with me? if symptoms are normal or something to worry about? Dh reassurin, Know i really need to sleep, see if any further spotting & go back to hosp for 3rd day in a row for check tomorrow to hopefully put mind at rest & be told its nothing.. Big part of me wants to ignore it all & put head in sand, which is mental when day assessment midwife said to come in & be checked, & that was before wierd unexplainable 5 bits of teensy spotting (im def in denial i realise!) My head is f*d, just went for another wee & def no more.. I so needed a good sleep tonight

ThePFJ · 24/03/2010 23:07

MLS - you are obviously a freak and you must seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY for your non miniegg addiction. Seriously.

And yes I would LOVE to disect Big Brother with you next time. The last celeb one when Verne drunkenly drove his wheelchair into the diary room door and almost catapulted into the wall had me in stitches.

littlebellsmum · 24/03/2010 22:10

gracie - what happens to the NCT groups when the babies get bigger is that you start hiring a local church hall once a week so that your houses don;t get destroyed. We did that for about a year and it worked really well.
When dd was 6 weeks, we invited the whole of our antenatal class over for lunch - 12 couples and 13 babies. It was a once in a life time experience - luckily we had a reasonably big house at the time but I would never do it again! DD really didn't like it and clung to me all the day, her room became a massive changing/ feeding room . Very nice but nevere repeated!

GracieGirl · 24/03/2010 22:05

Mls how can you not like mini eggs????? All the more for me!

Yes I had wondered how the NCT group meets would work once the babies get mobile!

MummyLovesSadie · 24/03/2010 21:21

Hello folks, feeling a little bit better . Starting to dread my scan next Tues though.

Gracie & Barbie I practically had dd attached to my breast for a month until I started supplementing her feeds with formula. It wasn't the breastmilk she wanted but just some comfort. I tried her with a dummy (even though I swore I'd never use one) but she didn't take to it, but the formula really seemed to make a difference & she was a lot more settled.

Gracie nine babies & Mummies?! Wait until they are all toddlers then you'll know the true meaning of destruction! I found that meeting regularly with my NCT group after dd was born was a real life-saver.

Moon that is a freaky dream, vivid dreams like that normally start in early pregnancy.

MsPiggy liking the name change.

Monkey so sorry you are still feeling so utterly grotty. I'm sure your Mum is up there somewhere looking down on your bean & doing everything she can to make everything ok for you.

Cupcake I echo what MsPiggy said about Floradix. It is much better stuff than iron tablets & it's completely natural.

Louey popped back onto my other thread & said she'd be joining us soon. She had her erpc today.

Blue just saw your fb status, hope ds2 perks up soon.

PFJ I'm glad you like Big Brother as you, me & Sabs can have a morning dissection after each episode when it starts in May!

4ever whooppee for your big strong girl! Is that your last scan now?

Neeko I know what this waiting is like, it's a bit like standing on the edge of a precipice & just waiting to fall. Remember text me any time of day or night.

Waves to Vjay, BQ, Mermaid, Jools (hope you are doing ok) LBM & anyone else I may have missed.

I've become fascinated with Carla Bruni's face! Why can't beautiful people age gracefully? Here is a website I found, it's got a great gallery too of celebrity before & after surgery pics!

P.S. am I the only person on this thread MN who doesn't like Mini-Eggs???

littlebellsmum · 24/03/2010 19:43

OMG, barbie that thread was hysterical.

Enjoy the antenatal meets, Gracie , they will keep you sane for years to come!

Got to go - BabyBelle has hiccups now after all the laughing I've been doing to that thread!

GracieGirl · 24/03/2010 18:51

Moon I hope your dream is a sign of good things to come for you.

Barbie that thread was fantastic!

Just had my whole NCT antenatal class over for the afternoon. 9 first time mums and babies aged 6-11 weeks. I had a really good afternoon, its so nice to mix with people who are still finding their feet as Mums. I feel so much more confident after an afternoon with them, knowing we're all as rubbish as each other! I think sometimes mother-in-laws and friends with much older babies can't remember what its like and make insensitive comments - no 6 week old baby is going to behave themself to fit round adults!

Its a good thing I live in a detached house as 9 babies can get very loud!

cupcakefairy · 24/03/2010 16:51

Oh and moon woah- weird dream I hope the whole 12 week scan part is a sign though

cupcakefairy · 24/03/2010 16:50

EWWWW Barbie why would you make us read that!

VJay · 24/03/2010 16:36

Sorry for calling you pathetic neeko, but one contraction , I don't sound very sorry do I , it made me laugh, but like monkey said, one is better than none

moon that is a weird dream, I bet you've been mulling it over all day, I know I would have.

barbie that link is funny , what a shame

BlueMoon1981 · 24/03/2010 15:39

hi girls, you've been busy today

just had to come on here to share my weird dream from last night...

i was going for my 12 week scan, which was scheduled for 3.30pm, so i was having a look round the shops beforehand. i got tired so i snuggled up on a bench inside and promptly fell asleep, not waking up til 6.30pm so i raced over to the hospital to see if they could still see me, only the hospital had turned into a corner shop, and they said they couldnt see me, then out of nowhere a old man in a suit turns round and says i am a doctor, this lady has lost 2 babies, u must see her now to put her mind at ease. so this shopgirl/nurse (?) starts preparing what looked like a photocopier, with leads coming out of it, she kind of pointed this laser gun thing at my stomach, a picture of my baby came out of the photocopier and that was that!

ThePFJ · 24/03/2010 15:01

PMSL. OMG So funny. Well done Barbie. Well done.

barbie1 · 24/03/2010 14:24

girls you have to read this www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/934578-Nightmare-Incident-with-Neighbour-39-s-Parcel-please-sympathise-an d

poor Devon looks she is apple bobbing on my boob cos im laughing so much

Ill be back later when i get both hands free

ThePFJ · 24/03/2010 14:18

Piggy - you can be whoever you like and we won't judge you. (nods sagely)

As the movie from my namesake says 'I want to be called Loretta, and I want to have babies.....'

Neeko - Football? Bleh.

MsPiggy · 24/03/2010 14:12

Shall I be MissIggyPiggy then?

Neeko · 24/03/2010 14:03

PFJ Funnily enough, my DH hates my programmes too but alwys seem to know what's going on Since his TV viewing of choice is football, it'd be fair to say I don't like his choices either

MsPiggy Do like the new name but you'll always be Iggy to me now!

ThePFJ · 24/03/2010 13:56

Neeko I love House Doctor. My DH hates it. He also hates Queer Eye For the Straight Guy, but if I assist on putting them on he always seems to want to openly discuss whats going on instead of looking at his PC.

He also hates Big Brother, X Factor and shows of that ilk, but funnily enough he knows all the characters and has strong opinions on all of them. Funny that?

MsPiggy · 24/03/2010 13:44

Sorry for name change - don't mean to confuse people! Just bored of old name and want new one

iggypiggy to MsPiggy seemed close enough!

cupcake Can you try taking Floradix? Is a bit vile - but made me feel better when I went all pale and pathetic a while ago - is an iron supplement and is safe to take. xx

Neeko · 24/03/2010 13:43

Cupcake Take the earlier mat leave. You'll need it and you'll have lots of nesting to do. If Wriggler makes an appearance while you're offline, I'll try to text you. Now sit down and put your feet up!

cupcakefairy · 24/03/2010 13:39

Hello all
monkey glad baby was v active at the scan but sorry about more worries hope 4ever's comment about being told a 6mm fold could correct itself has reassured you. Also rubbish you're still being sick One poor girl in my NCT group is still being sick all day at 8 months..just feel so so sorry for her so fingers crossed yours buggers off soon!

barbie I'm hoping I'll still be able to stay in touch...I can get online in the office a couple of days a week and hopefully our internet shouldn't take too long to hook up once we're in the new place thanks for the advice. I will try to do nothing! I packed up crockery yesterday and was exhausted after it so poor dh this weekend we have friends helping out too though.

Neeko we're waiting!

blue me and my big sister still suck our thumbs too! but only very rarely and for comfort in extreme circumstances!!

Moon boo to back ache...but I agree it's not over yet! Christmas baby would be luuurvely

PFJ so sorry to hear of your horrible experiences hope this year gets better for you.

Has 4ever not been in to update on her scan yet then? Everything was fine and her girl is big and strong, estimated at 4lb 9

I had a letter from hospital telling me my bloods have come back anaemic so have to take iron tablets. No wonder I've been feeling crap the last couple of weeks! Thinking of taking mat leave a week earlier than planned but bit scared that that leaves me barely any days in work! So weird!

Neeko · 24/03/2010 13:27

hi all. Great minds must think alike as before I logged on here I ate a full bag of mini-eggs and put on House doctor. Plan to do nothing until it's time to pick up DD.

Monkey Sorry to hear you're feeling so awful still. really hope it eases for you soon. Big hugs, cool cloths for your forehead and a funky sick bowl coming your way.

Blue at the thumb sucking - maybe that's why you're so chilled? I'd def try Ben with the one bottle of formula. It'll put your mind at rest to know what he's getting and you might even all get another hour's sleep. You've done a great job so far so give yourself a break. Have thought about sex but can't muster the enthusiasm!

Vjay you shouldn't tell a hormonal pg woman she's pathetic - you'll make me cry! Glad to hear you've got lots of footage of your boys now. DD loves watching old footage of her but keeps asking for all her old toys back!

PFJ How you feeling today?

Hi to MissPiggy Why the name change?

MLS is still feeling yucky so is in full lurking mode.

Sabs How's Saara's tummy now?

ThePFJ · 24/03/2010 13:18

Thank you monkeybumsmum! I LOVE it when people tell me about sucess stories on one tube

I really really hope you get better soon.
