False alarm, she was in Asda!

Cupcake hello & sorry you are having a sad anniversary today.

cupcakefairy · 26/03/2010 10:04

Yay, I'm loving all the newcomers! (Because it means hopefully less talk about poo haha, kidding!)
Hi QuestionsAnswered And welcome so sorry to hear what you've been through. My mc was long and drawn out too as they kept telling us to come back in another week for more scans cos they couldn't tell if baby was growing etc...it's horrible all the waiting. It's actually a year today since we were told baby died but I now have a massive 32 week bump that won't give me any sleep from wriggling so we are all here to support you through to your next pregnancy (if that's what you decide you want)
sometimes if there's loads of information to retain I write notes to myself as I read through

Neeko the cardi looks fab! And yes, baby can now come, knowing it has something to keep it warm I'm so sure you're having a boy. Can't wait to hear the news!

Well I am expecting to be cut off from the world any minute so will just idly read MN til then...

MummyLovesSadie · 26/03/2010 10:04

Hello QA good to see you here but sorry for the reason you came. I'm glad you are starting to feel a bit more normal now. You'll probably find that you'll be up & down for a while. You think you are ok then suddenly 'bam' you feel like it all happened yesterday. Talking about it really helps, people in rl often don't understand & they expect you to get over it but that is what we are all here for. You'll soon get to know us & then you'll be posting like the rest of us! Also many of us use Facebook so the really nosey ones among us (me included!) get to stalk each other there too!

I've sent 2 texts to Neeko this morning & she hasn't replied......

QuestionsAnswered · 26/03/2010 08:48

Hello to you all

I hope you don't mind, but the lovely pfj has told me all about you ladies on this thread and at the risk of another mouth to feed with mini eggs I was hoping to join.

This was my 2nd pregnancy, I already have an amazing 3 year old DS, I was on the October thread wth Louey, pfj and mummylovessadie, but sadly had a MC at 6 weeks, a couple of weeks ago. I have been hiding on a thread along with Pfj since then, but decided to venture further afield now that I am beginning to feel a little more normal.

It was a natural miscarriage that has been a long, drawn out process with 2 scans and lots of blood tests as my HCG levels were staying the same so they worried about an ectopic and now they are finally going down very slowly, still not back to normal yet. Like pfj, if we do decide to ttc again (still not sure) I will wait until May. It has been horrible, as you all sadly know and I have found it difficult as we have told very few people. I am feeling more normal, but have been left with a slightly anxious feeling, is this normal?

Reading your threads you seem like a really supportive group and it is really good to see that you are all at different stages in the process. ThePfj has been a brilliant support for me the last couple of weeks and it has been great to chat to someone going through the same thing.

I am in awe of all your abilities to retain information and personalise each post so well. Can I be in training for that and apologies if it takes me a while to do it.

Louey I am so sorry to hear what had happened, that must be devastating and so cruel to get to the 12 week scan and find out I remember you were so kind popping on to my thread to see how I was doing.

mummylovessadie glad everything is going well for you and I hope the rest of the October girls are doing well too

4ever my heart goes out to you and I could just feel your worry. I hope your visit to the hospital was reassuring.

Neeko the waiting seems to be forever doesn't it? I will be cheeky and come swooping in at the last moment and suggest 29/03 for the sweepstake Not what you want to hear I know! When were you due?

That's me done for the personals, told you I wouldn't be very good Hope everyone else is ok today.

Sorry for the epic first post

MummyLovesSadie · 26/03/2010 07:28

Haha don't say that she'll kill you! Yes peanut butter taste gone but I've gone right off the stuff now. I seem to be going off more & more food & am struggling to find anything I actually want to eat. I weighed myself the other day & a few weeks ago I'd put on a pound but now I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

barbie1 · 26/03/2010 06:15

Im starting to think neekobaby will hold out for april...maybe the 1st, just to make a fool of mummy!

barbie1 · 26/03/2010 06:13

hi mls how are you feeling, peanut butter taste gone

MummyLovesSadie · 26/03/2010 06:09

Crikey you girls were up late last night. I however have been up since 5am with dd.

No text from Neeko this morning.

Neeko · 25/03/2010 22:34

Aww thanks Moon That's made me feel so much better.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

BlueMoon1981 · 25/03/2010 22:29

neeko that cardy is amazing, i'm so in awe of anyone who can knit, i once knitted a dishcloth for my nan (why who knows?) when i was small which contained mainly holes, and bless her she kept it right up til the day she died

backache is still there, so af def on way

Neeko · 25/03/2010 22:24

Hi

Sad welcomes to Louey I had a MMC at 12 weeks just over a year ago and it was without a doubt the most devastating event of my life. I'm now impatiently waiting the birth of my baby, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. Stick with us. We've been through it all and will hold your hand, wipe your tears and feed you chocolate.

4ever Hope you're feeling better now and got some reassurance today. Can't imagine how scary it must be for you with every scan as I couldn't possibly multiply the fear I felt by 4. As I said before, I hope the next 10 wks fly past.

Blue I am pretty crabbit actually, especially when there's no Grey's on. Talk about pushing the buttons of a desperate woman!

MLS Hope you're feeling better. Maybe the text will be there in the morning

Moon How's the back pain? Any sign of the witch?

Barbie LOL at sneaking away from a night out for fast food. It's amazing how quickly they take over every waking thought, isn't it?

Cupcake Good luck with the move. I promise to text when the contractions start so you can rush to the library!

PFJ You've been quiet today? How you doing?

Hi to everyone else. Check out the finished cardigan on my profile Bring on the labour pains!

cupcakefairy · 25/03/2010 22:14

Well no sign of Neeko today so could still e you iggy but otherwise sabs, pfj or MLS are winning the sweepstake! Could be even later than that (sorry Neeko!)

Yes MLS I heard OBEM was sad Tues, girls on my an thread are obsessed by it...still not watching myself! v prem baby wasn't it?
And hoooow can you have all that chocolate in the house?? Crazy lady!

Lol, blue I hadn't considered dh carrying me over the threshold (I'll choose to ignore the cheeky crane comment ) but might suggest it

Waves to Moon.

MummyLovesSadie · 25/03/2010 20:11

Loads of X-posts.... serves me right for typing so slow!

Cupcake you will have to go to the library I'm afraid! You simply can't not have access to MN for over two weeks, that's just downright silly!

Blue oh I remember the stealth night feeds well. Do you tiptoe backwards out of the room like I used to?!

Sabs yes I'm finding 'Enders difficult to watch at the moment. I keep shouting 'bitch' at the screen and as for Ian Beale, he'll always be a complete bast**d in my eyes now. How could he do that to his lovely wife? I know it's not real but it does touch a raw nerve.

I've not plucked up the courage to watch this weeks' One Born yet as I've been told it's a heart rending episode.

BlueMoon1981 · 25/03/2010 20:04

Sabs i was nearly crying at Eastenders

welcome louey we will look after you

MummyLovesSadie · 25/03/2010 19:56

Hello Louey I'm glad you found us. I hope yesterday wasn't too awful. I've had 2 natural mc's & an erpc, there is no 'better' way to mc in my opinion as any mc is devastating. This is a very sad & upsetting time for you & we are all here to help you through. Yes mc is very hard-hitting, it's something you never imagine happening to you, especially if you've already had a child. Now you are probably coming to terms with the fact that it's not just your baby that has been taken away from you, but your dreams & expectations too. I hope you are finding some comfort in your dt's. I bet at least they are keeping you on your toes!

Neeko how are you holding up? I bet the minutes feel like hours. Every morning I leap on my phone as soon as I wake up to find...... nothing!

4ever how are you doing now?

Barbie you have mentioned the poo, wee & sick but you've not said anything about the earwax & bogies! I bet you never imagined you'd ever be picking stuff out of another humans' nose or ears..... & actually enjoying it!!

Iggy or piggy? I liked your new name - I think the only person who was getting confused was you!

Vjay no I don't like mini-eggs & I have tried them. In fact I have a confession yesterday I threw away the contents of dd's Thorntons Christmas selection box as it should have been eaten by Feb & had hardly been started. Not only that but I threw away half an Easter egg that had been festering for a while & there is a shelf-full of chocolate preztels, chocolate buttons, chocolate seashells, snowbites, white chocolate snowmen & Milkyway stars that have all been gathering dust & will probably end up getting chucked out too!

Sabs1981 · 25/03/2010 19:54

Anyone else finding Eastenders hard to watch? Its bringing back some horrible memories

Will be back tomorrow with a proper post

bluesatinsash · 25/03/2010 19:49

Evening ladies,

wecome to louey. Echo what the other girls have said, we've all been there and there is no emotion we've not gone through. I think its doubly awful when you have had a 'good' scan and your hopes are up. I did take a teeny bit of comfort in that both my lost lo's were gone by the time I had my scan (8 weeks for both).. This leads me on to..

4ever or weeble as msbarbie has named you. You rant away lovely and yes so many of us are now holding our 'Emmsy's Graduates" but I can take myself back to the post-mc/ttc/sheer agony that is the first nay 2nd trimester in a second. I can still taste the fear in my mouth when I remember going for my numerous scans. The having to wear the exact same clothes, walk the same route. My worst wobble was my 11 week scan as it was 2 days before Ds's birthday and all I could remember was my MMC had happened 2 days before his Xmas. Like you I had 3rd trimester worries as B was almost delivered when I was 32 weeks and all I could scream to DH was that we hadn't a name and now tiny clothes. I remember sitting on PC looking at Mothercare premmie clothes and willing B to hold in there.

I truly believe your DD will go to term and you will be crabbit and overdue like our neeko (not that you're crabbit ). You have SO MUCH to contend with, the normal agony of SPD/tiredness/hormones with the not daring to hope that you will get your 'take home baby' at the end of it after all you have been through but you so will 4ever and we will so be cheering and crying and whooping for you and your DH when that day comes in June.

Here endeth the ramblings

barbie - can relate to night out bleugh. I've got one tomorrow (friend over from Hong Kong) in Edinburgh and I so do not fancy two hours in All Bar One nursing a diet coke wishing I was on the couch. I love my friend to bits but just want to stay in until summer! Great that Devon is sleeping after night time feeds. Its a relief when that happens. B is now in his room overnight and I am in total stealth mode for night feeds, tip toe in-boob-cot-tiptoe out BTW loved the link and wasn't the footstool awful looking anyway

cupcake - hope you manage to get on here during the move. Happy New Home when it comes. Is your DH going to hire a crane carry you over the threshold.

MLS you better be tucked up in bed just now!

Vjay - I think B will be a finger/thumb sucker like Ajay. I stood in front of formula aisle in Boots today but walked away. going to wait an see what Breast councillor advises tomorrow. Ben also slept from 1am-7am last night but he did have his jags and was v. poorly with them and cold...

neeko taps fingers.....

Iggy - welcome back . How's the house hunting going?

Gracie - sounds like you have a good group going there . Some of my closest friends are Mum's I met through having DS1.

Moon - what a vivid dream, really hope it means something...

Sabs - how is Saara getting on with baby rice?

Bit waves to everyone else, better go, DS1 is redy for stories

cupcakefairy · 25/03/2010 19:02

Hello lovelies.
Well our internet gets cut off tomorrow until 16th April- boo! But hoping to still be able to access at work and I'll just have to go to the library if I'm desperate! Stupid phone won't let me on MN as it's a forum and I need to ring up to take off some security thing but haven't got round to it yet

4ever! I can't believe the worries you've had you poor weeble really hope hospital reassured you. Of course you're bound to feel vulnerable you've had a heck of a journey but even if your girl did come now chances are she'd be just fine. 30 weeks tomorrow and every day gives her more chance Text me anytime if you want to just rant by the way.

MLS lol love the surgery website but can't believe SJP isn't on there! Her face is positively freaky right now!

Vjay that cracked me up your comment to MLS about mini eggs, sounded very teacher/parent-like 'have you even tried them?' haha I ate lots of mini eggs today..nomnom

Iggy I totally agree about the not realising a real baby is at the end of this

gracie sounds lovely about the NCT group. We're having a social with ours next week, all still pregnant of course so the Italian restaurant we're going to will have fun with us! We have 8 couples but 9 babies, yay I like what you said about first-time mums being reassuring; I'm looking forward to that as I'm sure my Mum, MIL and other friends will be a bit know-it-all. My friend who's due same day as me with her second has already told me and dh we 'musn't' breastfeed on demand. We just made this face at her and said, yes dear.

Ooooh where is Neeko? (I bet I've x-posted with her now )

Louey big sad welcomes to you. My mc was almost exactly a year ago now and reading your post just took me right back to those feelings of total desolation. You are absolutely in the right place. Sorry that there's a lot of baby talk on here too but we do all know the horrible pain of mc and picking yourself up after it so feel free to say anything you like about how you're feeling! Have a mini egg.

Was thinking about annie and curly today or some reason, who we haven't heard from in a while.. hope you're both ok

Saw midwife today, baby is head down, yippee.

VJay · 25/03/2010 17:42

Oh 4ever my lovely lovely weeble, you rant away, pg after mc is so scary and with the added hormones on top I found it hideous sometimes, all you can do is take each day as it comes. Keep listening to that heartbeat babes. I wish I could come and give you a rl hug, but here's a cyber one instead >>

barbie there was a time when you would put this up for a sick face whenever we talked about poo, and here you are now talking about it everyday

Hi loueytbg a sad welcome to you, so sorry you've had a miscarriage and hope you are being well looked after at home. Please stick around here and talk, cry, and rant away whenever you need to, we all understand, it's the pits, but we can help you move forward, onwards and upwards is what we say on here

mls I can't believe you don't like mini eggs, what's not to like? Have you even tried them

iggy I liked Missiggypiggy that wasn't confusing, aslong as you have iggy in there I'll know it's you

neeko are you bouncing or pushing at the moment?

Big waves to y'all, laters xxx

OP posts:
barbie1 · 25/03/2010 15:54

Hi Loueytbg a sad but very warm welcome to this lovely thread

As mls has already told you we have all been there sadly so we are probably the best people to hold your hand and help you through it.

Take plently of rest and dont be too hard on yourself over the next few days, we are always here whenever you need cheering up.

weeble how you doing now my love? I dont really know what to say to help you, the worry never goes away does it? i forgot to say i love the name summer, she really is going to brighten up your world

mls boo hiss to you still feeling like poo....back to bed and relax lady!

neeko where are you? labour ward???

moon strange dream..im still sure that its going to be your time very soon.....

gg i had a gracie day today, i sat on my bed all afternoon letting Devon suck the life out of me she would make a great extra on the twighlight movie cos she is a mini vampire.
I have finally managed to get her to go back to sleep after a feed when she wakes in the night time now so things are looking up!
There was me feeling all pleased with myself for devon getting to 7lb 3 oz and then you come along and tell me your dd is already 10lb something! When are you going home? are you still at the parents? Oh and can you say hi to kate for me.

piggyiggy or iggypiggy or even just piggy yep you are having a baby glad reading our post havent put you off any....not even the pooing on me? So far i have had 3 poo's 4 wee's and countless mini sicks...yummy!

blue yep Devon has her very own passport! Night mare trying to get her to sit up straight in the photo booth though
She also has 2 birth certificates and another on it's way one arabic, one translated to english and then a proper english one.
The night out was rubbish too tired, to fat to fit any nice clothes, scar hurt, and i missed her! I also drove and then found out that there was a limo )hen night) so i ended up following the thing to the venue only to realise that we were heading miles out and that they had hired it by the hour, so i made a detour (via kfc, naughty barbie) and went home to rescue dh...

lbm glad you liked the link, i couldnt stop laughing at the shat/ sat part ...Does mini bell get hiccups lots? Devon had them loads in the womb and is just as bad now

Waves to everyone else...must dash dh will be home soon, back laters x

loueytbg · 25/03/2010 15:16

Hello - I hope you don't mind but MummyLovesSadie pointed me over here and said you were all lovely. I had a MMC on Monday at 12+3 after having a scan at 8+3 where we saw a HB and a baby measuring right on track. Needless to say, the scan on Monday came as a huge shock .

I had an ERPC yesterday which was grim although the staff at the hospital were great. I'm feeling a bit physically better to day although still shellshocked and guess I will be for a while. I had no idea how hard a MC can hit you (normally I'm a very positive person).

We will be trying again after I get through the next few weeks but I'm absolutely dreading the first trimester (not least because I puke right from the start).

4everhopeful · 25/03/2010 11:13

Have just woken & thank god no more spotting.. Cant tell u the immense fear & panic of a poss middle of the night hospital dash like i had at 20wks, the anxiety rushed back & just thought i could have my babe tonight (at best ) but nothings ready.. As said, i called the day assessment yest, who said that the exhaustion dizziness & headaches should be checked out & go to the delivery suite, dont kno if thats an out of hours thing, so will call again to check, gonna rest more, bath, eat etc & take it from there.. Im sure the 1st time mums out there do vaguely remember the immense anxiety that would be natural anyway, let alone preg after (4)mc & desperation to join the 'exclusive parenting club' being so near, yet so far, & scared to be complacent or too presuming or confident? I kno u hear that with birth the pain is instantly forgotten & i think that must also go for the mental torture we were all originally united in.. This is a very vulnerable & lonely time for me.. Last night scared me too bits & took me back 10 paces, again.. Even my scan on tues, gave a cure for 3 days of constipation that morning cos of 2 vessel cord issue, yet feel iv used up my compassion quota a little as that was scan no 18 or something ridiculous, & next one in 4wks which ill be just as nervous about cos the fear of entering a scan room after having 4mc clearly never leaves you, no matter how far along u get.. I feel so sorry for the small pant girls cos really feel part of the minority slightly now, & just cant imagine how hard it is for u & ur need to disappear for a bit.. Just really hope u make it back & we turn things round.. Sorry for rant, im very hormonal, vulnerable & confused with a million mixed emotions & fears, however i dont forget that i do deserve credit for bein the weeble that always ends up upright & can pat myself on the back that i am a fighter & am a positive pragmatic woman, & iv had to be after 3yrs of heartache & desperation to be a mum, so think im allowed the odd outpouring...

MummyLovesSadie · 25/03/2010 10:22

4ever the only thing that will put your mind at rest is getting checked out by a doctor. Hope you managed to get some sleep & have woken up with a clearer head.

I'm just waiting for my neighbour to pick up dd & then I'm going back to bed. Was coughing half the night again & have another really bad headache. Started taking Floradix again in case iron deficiency is the problem.
