CurlyBigPants · 27/03/2010 11:26

Hello lovely moon I am getting v impatient with catching up as saw you had more recent posts and wanted to read properly before posting!! Still 4 pages to go [grr]

I get really anxious about missing people out so avoid posting till I can catch up properly but it's impossible at the moment. I need to take a chill pill!! Anyways I wanted to give you a big hug and send over some hot chocolate. I know it hurts but I reckon dh is just being a typical bloke always looking for the practical solution. Plan that wedding honey. As soon as you have put the deposit on that tightly fitted dress you will get your bfp. It's murphys law it will happen soon it will xxx hope things are better with dh as if stupid evil witch does arrive then his services will be required again soon ;)

ok back to those four pages...

CurlyBigPants · 27/03/2010 11:16

and back for more...

It's so lovely to see cupcake sounding so happy and excited after antenatal classes. It will be ur turn soon. Have you moved yet?

monkey hope you are not too stressed. As iggy pointed out the odd are still really low. Did they not do bloods as well? This would give you a much clearer picture. Big hugs honey xxx

barbie you sound like you are doing a wonderful job with Devon and so chilled about motherhood. I have good feeling about moon getting her bfp soon too. Let's hope we are right don't know why exactly as it doesn't make a difference in virtual terms but am excited that u are back in the uk next week hope ur poor mil is ok

Ohmigod lion and thepfj i can't believe what you've both been through. Brave brave ladies xxx

BlueMoon1981 · 27/03/2010 11:15

morning all

thanks neeko and 4ever for your thoughts on my insensitive df, i am hoping everything will fall into place and like i said if i get married with a bump so be it neeko your post made me well up with what you said about df, i sometimes forget he has to watch me being sad through the brave face and smiles.

laid awake last night worrying that i'd upset blue i genuinely missed your 2nd post and feel awful you think i would shun your reply. i am truly grateful to all you girls for your words of wisdom and it means so much like 4ever said.

curly that was a mammoth post in the making glad you managed to escape for an hour or 2

neeko must be soon surely??

i want to know where the bunny smilies are...

happy weekend to everyone

CurlyBigPants · 27/03/2010 10:56

Ok had to post that before I lost it

deep breaths...

Just six more pages to catch up on so back in a while!!!

CurlyBigPants · 27/03/2010 10:54

Mornin all. I have escaped to the hairdressers and with all this miraculous free time I am going to attempt the impossible and catch up with you properly - on my phone

Neeko where is ickleneeko hiding??? You must be going crazy waiting.

iggy what news on the househunting? Have many people been around looking at yours?

thepfj I am so sorry for everything you have been through you sound so brave. it is lovely having you on the thread. I am going to make u my new best friend cos you have brought mini eggs back into our lives

Lol at baking munching away on her Easter egg before Easter. I am a chocolate fiend at the moment. Curlygirl must be drinking chocolate milk

jools I think about you lots. I hope you are okay lovely xxx

sabs I'm so impressed that your thread on sam cameron made it to the top of discussions they are saying this will be a mumsnet election so I'm picturing all sorts of political bigwigs scurrying around discussing your thread

mrskate how is breastfeeding going? Curlygirl is also trying to feed every two hours at the moment. I think she is going thru a growth spurt every week. How are you getting on with gorgeous young jack?

gracie is isabelle still feeding like crazy? I nearly rang the lovely annie this week in desperation as I was getting so drained (literally ) and she is my guru on this stuff

vj could you try stopping altogether and just expressing a little to relieve discomfort when you need to? hope your back is feeling a bit better xxx

lion looks like you may be the winner on the Neeko sweepstakes

Neeko · 27/03/2010 10:36

Yip MLS I am really just keeping the baby in so you'll win
How was breakfast?

MummyLovesSadie · 27/03/2010 10:32

Neeko when I'm typing a long one I highlight everything I've written & then 'copy' & then go back to the previous page & then paste it all back into the message box & start reading that page. Btw I know you are being a good friend by keeping your legs firmly crossed until tomorrow when it's my guess in the sweepstake so thank you!

Iggy is that your house for sale on fb? It looks very tidy, very trendy & with lovely neutral understated colours. I hope you are ready for a Fisher Price explosion of neon yellows & greens that will take over your new place, not to mention a sea of small annoying plastic things that go 'squeak' underfoot!

Neeko · 27/03/2010 09:57

LBM hope the baking and curtain making went well. Don't be doing too much though.., (Yes, I know that's impossible with a FT job, 2DC and one on the way, but try!)

Curly Lovely to hear from you. You still sound in such a babymoon and I love it! Give curlygirl a kiss from me.

PFJ How you feeling today? Hope the migraine has gone and the hormones aren't bouncing.

Louey Hope you survived yesterday ok. that was a lot to take on considering what you're going through. How old are your DTs?

Phew! Tired now My friend who had the prem baby is coming down later. He's now almost 6 months and 8lbs so is doing really well. I'm hoping a big cuddle of him will make this one jealous and bring him/her out. Curly says it's supposed to work.

Was gorgeous sunny morning here, then poured with rain - typical West of Scotland weather!

Neeko · 27/03/2010 09:49

Hello chatty, lovely ladies. This post will probably be in two parts as I've never gotten the hang of moving pages without losing my message.

Firstly, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to report here!

Happy moving day Cupcake! May all your dreams come true in your new home. xxx

4everwiththesorethumbs How long did it take you to text all that?! Glad you've started making lists cos with a list you can pass it on to someone else to tick off! (Know I'd never do that, as too big a control freak...) Please make time to try the hypnotherapy CDs as I think they'd really help you to relax and switch off. Sounds as though you have a constant loop going round in your head, lovely, and need to try to switch off to save your sanity. Things will also be easier when you finish work and don't have that nagging at you.
Is your ball not helping the SPD at all? Have you tried swimming yet or is the thrush preventing it?

Moon I believe you'll have it all and probably if you focus on the wedding you'll get your BFP. Venues are used to people having to change, so go ahead and make your plans and worry about it when your due date and wedding date clash! I'm sure your DF is just trying to make you smile. It must break his heart to see the woman he loves so unhappy and i'm sure if he could wave a magic wand and give you it all, he would. (As we all would) P.S. Bloody hormones make you more sensitive - something we all suffer from!

Vjay I'd drop them gradually as it'll be more comfortable for you and then either feed Ajay the inbetween feeds or pump and dump. Try not to be pressured into doing something you're not ready for, as that way PND lies (sorry!) I'd try reflexology for the pain and maybe use your birthing ball again? I think also the ibuprofen gels applied to the site might not interfere with your milk so much? Sorry to not be more help.

Blue How's B today with the new drops? What did you have for breakfast instead of cereal? I didn't even notice the messages until MLS pointed it out. Like our little Scots words creeping in though!

QA (Sorry, I'm so lazy bout typing full names ) Nice to see you settling into the thread and getting to know everyone. Hop[e the wine helped and you have something planned today to make you

Hi to MrsKate. Enjoy every precious moment.
OK, previous page now. Glad I'm not at work. this thread's turning into a full time job!

4everhopeful · 27/03/2010 00:10

...and lastly just want to reiterate how very grateful i am to each of u that took the time to post positive words of support to me yesterday.. It really does mean more than u could know & i was in tears last night, it really touched me to feel so cared for.. Apologies for the me post, its so tomorrow i can make sure i catch up with u all individually & personally without waffling on about my dramas!
Right i shall now attempt to sleep! My big girl is bouncin around inside me which has been so reassuring these last few days & has reminded me to smile! I think the desperation to meet her is half my panic cos i love her so much already & she has already become my life, i just want to protect her & keep her safe!

4everhopeful · 26/03/2010 23:52

Oop...(cont!) is caused by 1 leg longer than other! They didnt want to give me a belt cos of history (just at the thought of the strap on!) In fact said i was a 'difficult' one as they werent comfortable to give me exercises either as im 'high risk' so i just have to bear it, but they did give me wierd rubber instep for shoes to even me up! However during assessment quite a bit of moving & prodding & like long distant memory of gym, really aggravated pain yest & today think that also added to vulnerable weebleness! Anyway gonna just try & take it easy & be positive now, finally have thrush treatment, arsey gp wouldnt give it last wk til done swab, as 'in her opinion it def couldnt be thrush as doesnt come & go & discharge didnt look like it' amongst 1 of many reasons she f'd me off, i know my own body for gods sakes! So had to wait a week with ragin symptoms Honestly iv just felt like im up against it this last few wks, has def not inspired confidence which i think has def contributed to weebleness as said... Also found out that my appraisal score at work was 'average' which affects my bonus & a diff of £600! In my 14yrs always got 'above average' & was told it was cos of prolonged preg absence, despite workin exceptionally hard in last yr, rewriting training docs & training new people to transfer my 14yrs knowledge for newly admind process! Totally wrong am penalised for preg absence (& prob not legal) but as i leave in 3wks, as said to senior manager, i dont want to pursue appeal & leave with bad taste in mouth or stress myself out, as stress free as poss has to be my priority for babys sake.. He was all stuttery so think he knows it was a wrongun on their part.. Hey ho... Big picture is i just desperately want to be a good mum to a healthy baby, its all i want more than anything, all this battling & stress has clearly affected the weeble in me so action plan is back to basics, me, my wonderful dh, my bump, & one day at a time! Deep breaths & remain calm!

4everhopeful · 26/03/2010 23:10

Evening ladies.. Sad welcomes to louey & questions, im v impressed by ur 1st post & just want to extend a hug to u both & agree ur def in the right place.. I will 'speak' to u both more in depth tomorrow as im posting on my pho from bed! ....Moon lovely sorry to hear of df waylayed attempts of protection clearly doesnt get it.. Dont worry u can be wavin ur bfp under his nose before u kno it along with ur table plans & confetti brochure! U can & will have it all, u so deserve it hon.. Big waves to Mls & hand at the ready for tues pre scan weebles! ....Will catch up with proper personals tomorrow, have wanted to post all day to say special thanks for all ur kind words & support, cant tell u how much it meant to read thru last night, was v teary to feel so cared for & understood, thanks so much to u amazing kind girls i dont kno what id do without u, felt v sad until i got ur responses & realise how much iv come to rely on u all to say the right thing & make me feel better! I was left confuddled yest by 2 diff mwives, 1 said come in, oth said just rest, i chose latter, both said low iron def not anemia, but enough to aggravate exhaustion, on top of several bad nights sleep caused by v painful spd, thrush & heartburn.. (+ anxiety) think not sleepin for more than an hour at one time & spending hours awake in mid of night really not helped went pizza hut last night with dh & sat there like scared rabbit in headlights, just couldnt shake off anxiety & wanted to rush home to cotton wool, borderline panic attack, poor dh attempted desperately to reassure me, not helped as was told by random woman bump looked low, so then convinced must be engaged & labour must be imminent! I still didnt sleep well but did wake up today & pulled myself together a bit! Wrote some lists (always helps as neeko knows!) just to help alleviate fear of bein unprepared should a hosp dash be needed! Had physio for spd on wed & told that & prev pre preg chronic back pain & misaligned pelvis

BlueMoon1981 · 26/03/2010 22:45

how many typos i am tired, do apologise!

BlueMoon1981 · 26/03/2010 22:44

omg blue am so sorry, i didnt even see it, i read your original post then pfjs and somehow managed to miss your other one out, now i feel like a right mean person i would never intentionally ignore anyone on here you are all so important to me

i do think he is trying to look after me in his own way, he probably thinks i cant cope with a wedding and ttc, but i dont know. in a perfect world i want to get married and have a baby but i guess things dont always work out that way. i woudlnt even mind getting married with a bump. if we were younger then 2 years is nothing, but df is 40 this year and i am 30 next year so i dont realy want to put it all on hold. i am rambling now. so sorry i missd your post and thank you for your reply

bluesatinsash · 26/03/2010 22:34

Glad you liked it there is a whole series - Katie's Ferm etc. Your DH will love reading them to your DD .

Moon - feel my post was worthy of an acknowledgement at least ? I was about to log off when I saw your post and stayed on to reply so you weren't left with my x-post. Just feel a little annoyed that you thanked MLS but totally ignored my post.

BlueMoon1981 · 26/03/2010 22:24

mls it is yorkshire, i removed my profile details recently cuz i know some of my family come on this site and i didnt want to risk being identified. good memory though!

MummyLovesSadie · 26/03/2010 22:14

Moon I'm not sure exactly where in Yorkshire you live (it is Yorkshire isn't it?) but I have a couple of links for you here and here.

BlueMoon1981 · 26/03/2010 22:08

thanks mls you always say the right thing

MummyLovesSadie · 26/03/2010 21:56

Moon you will have it all. You just need to keep focused. Try & concentrate on the wedding for now & I bet your baby plans will fall into place.

BlueMoon1981 · 26/03/2010 21:48

dont worry mls i have no intention of going back on the pill, i just cant believe he said it. i was only trying to point out that if we decide on a wedding date sooner rather than later we may end up penniless for a while, which i dont mind and actually wish i'd kept my mouth shut now. darent tell him that i'd far rather have a baby than a wedding although obviously in a perfect world i would love it all.

MummyLovesSadie · 26/03/2010 21:36

OMG Blue that book looks brilliant, so brilliant in fact that I've just bought a copy from Ebay! When is Fathers Day? Maybe I'll give it to dh then as I have no chance of being able to read it to dd without sounding like I have a mouthful of wingnuts!

Moon sorry but that was totally bloody insensitive of your df. The only thing I can say in his defense is that he's only saying something similar to what most of our silly-arse oh's would have said! Don't go back on the pill - unless you want to end up in the loony-bin. Sorry to be brutally honest but I think going back on the pill is the worst thing you can do. He is obviously trying to protect you & thinks that by going on the pill, you will forget about trying for a baby for a couple of years. Men just don't get how we work. All I can suggest is that you try not to let him see how disappointed you are every month when af comes. If he thinks you are handling it well then he's less likely to put pressure on you to do anything you don't want to do.

Vjay I think you are supposed to cut down gradually & if you feel discomfort try to manually express. They say in the shower is a good place!

ThePFJ · 26/03/2010 20:47

Hi all,

Feeling a little better now, I had a terrible migraine and I was a bit sick
QA - I am so so glad you are chatting on here now.

I really need to get some sleep now, night night all. XXX

bluesatinsash · 26/03/2010 20:26

Sorry moon - bloody x-posting again...

I think the third thing and your DF is looking after you in a way. Trying to give you something lovely to focus on rather than the permanent you feel just now. Only you know if having a baby is what you want ahead of anything else or if you can refocus your happiness to your wedding and having fun being a sexy fiasco (fiancee).

Just keep talking and working through all this as a couple x

bluesatinsash · 26/03/2010 20:15

Enjoy your fish and chips cupcake and glad your day was remembered by two of your friends, bet that meant alot...

Vjay - I stopped bf DS1 at @ 12 weeks, literally overnight/cold turkey (long story - misdiagnosed reflux etc. etc. he refused to feed off me in the end.. ). It happened on a Friday and my boobs were sore and swollen that day and the day after (I expressed once on the Fridya evening) but started going down after that. DS1 was on @ 5 feeds a day at that point although it was all to pot for aformentioned reasons. The do advise to drop one feed at a time i.e. middle of days feeds first, then evening/middle of night then morning. HTH and big hand hold and hug for whatever you decide xxx

BF councilling went well thanks, I've been given new anti-colic drops to try but also going to stop my morning cereal as Ben's fretting is normally always at his either 1pm or 4pn feed which might be my breakfast milk working its way down and he may have a lactose intolerance . We'll see how it goes.

Questionsanswered - hope you're well and enjoying your large glass of wine xx You too louey and PFJ

Talking of which... I'm off for my one glass a week. I should have it in a glass box with mini hammer marked 'emergency use only'

later duuudes.

will we get a birth announcement over the weekend....

Thanks for translation MLS . Have you heard ofthis book? DS1 loved it and will be good for keeping your DD's Scottish heritage alive
