sabs happy 'half' birthday to saara, where has the time gone indeed. Sounds like the weaning is going well

mls that is a good idea for nighttime feeding, but I am hoping that Ajay stops soon, he missed his 1am feed last night, so here's hoping. Good luck for your scan today, am thinking of you

QA I have 2 boys, ds1 is 7 and ds2, Ajay, is 7 months on Thursday, a huge age gap, but dh only wanted one child then when ds1 was 5 he decided he quite fancied another, I knew he would , but it took a while to get him

blue you could be right about B being a colicky babym he's past 3 months now so hopefully will settle soon, it is a shame for him, and you

LBM when does your mat leave start, not soon enough I bet.

louey my (.)(.) are fine now, and I've lost weight already, I thought I'd lost a stone and a half since friday and have been all excited about it, but now I think it's because my scale are broken

Yay again to neeko, will go and grab the list xx

iggypiggy · 30/03/2010 09:51

X-Post Iggy love the sound of fat lady yoga . Hope you get some luck with the house this weekend.

loueytbg · 30/03/2010 09:43

Woohoo!!!!! Hooray we have a baby Neeko Huge congrats to Neeko and of course MrNeeko Very glad you had a quick labour and hope you are out of the HDU soon. Am looking forward to name news

Monkey hope you got some reassurance on the testing thread. I'm thinking of you today and hope you have a very nice Easter present.

MLS Lots of luck at the scan, you must post as soon as you have seen a wiggly baby

Sabs Hi weaning is fun, I remember it felt like a huge milestone. Very messy though. You will be blessed with lots of orange stained things very soon (I never knew that carrot stained so badly...) I'm glad you are able to stay at home a bit longer, I remember thinking how hard it must be for people to go back to work at 6 months, right in the midst of weaning. (I was lucky though and stayed off the whole year )

Gracie sod the in-laws. I'm guessing you are not best buddies....Thanks for the EPU link although I'm really really hoping I don't end up needing it . I don't have any tips for DH on bottle feeding, we didn't have that problem because DH did some from the start (one of the "advantages" of having twins, he had to do everything). Hope you get some answers from the BF board.

LittleBells I'm sorry you are so tired. I hope you aren't working this hard all the way to the end and you can get a rest before babybells arrives.

4ever so glad your antenatal class went well and you are less weebly than before. You are probably right, it is almost certainly the hormone crash causing the headache, don't know why that didn't occur to me (or the GP)

bluemoon sorry the afw got you [btw does that stand for the evil witch?] Get wedding planning

barbie wincing at nipple pulling stories. Takes me right back (I bf'd but I wouldn't say I particularly enjoyed it)

Bluesatin I think you had it right, I was definitely Lousey yesterday, slightly less so today

QA you win the Neeko sweepstake . The nanny is going to have an op at the end of May and will be off work for 8 weeks . She is also a bit rubbish and lazy so I'm trying to sort out a childminder who might actually do something with the boys and who will be a lot cheaper. I suspect the nanny now thinks her job is safe because I've had a mc (we'd told her that she would be going when I went on Mat leave). I've told DH he has to tell her the bad news once we've sorted out CM. Going to see another one today but the one I saw last night was really good (if a little expensive).

Vjay how are the (.)(.) feeling

PFJ hope you are ok

Headache still pounding, but possibly a bit less than yesterday. There is hope...

iggypiggy · 30/03/2010 09:29

yay for babyNeeko - so happy!

For everyone that asked about the house hunting - we've had 3 viewings since it went on the market on Thurs pm - on person has come twice. There are more lined up this week - think with the holidays coming up we should get alot more... We've seen about 15 houses and have found one we like, which we are seeing for a second time tonight - but obviously gotta wait till we get offer on ours before we can offer really...

I had fat lady yoga last night - which am v. much enjoying after the initial week of hardcore stuff

monkey thinking about you lots today xxx

GracieGirl · 30/03/2010 07:54

Just lurking for Neeko news. MLS can't wait to hear about your baby dancing and waving at you!

Monkey I hope today flies by with good news at the end.

Sabs no in laws didn't bring food, just comments about my PJs!!! Isabelle just prefers breastfeeding so DH really struggling with a bottle.

Isabelle asleep on my breast so typing a bit hard, back later.

MummyLovesSadie · 30/03/2010 07:10

Had a text from Neeko at 2am saying that she's in the high dependency unit as she passed a clot the size of the placenta but she says she feels ok. Will update with details as soon as I get them..... oh & also the name! There is still no update on that either! So so happy for her!

4everhopeful · 30/03/2010 00:19

Yay! Mahoosive congratulations to neeko & mrneeko! What a big healthy girl & so quick too! So very happy for them! Was sound asleep when got same tx & now all excited! Welcome to the world new Emmsys graduate no 17? Iv totally lost count!

Sabs1981 · 30/03/2010 00:16

Yay! Congrats! Thanks for posting gracie

GracieGirl · 30/03/2010 00:04

Text from Neeko - "Baby girl born at 10:08pm weighing 8lb 15oz. Waterbirth. No name yet xx"

yay!!!!!

GracieGirl · 29/03/2010 23:56

neeko's had a baby girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sabs1981 · 29/03/2010 23:15

It took me over an hour to write that post I think

Hi gracie and lbm gracie Why isnt it going well with DH feeding graciegirl? Is it because shes not used to a bottle or is it something else? [trying very hard to be of some help but feeling dense emoticon]

Sabs1981 · 29/03/2010 23:09

Evening ladies, hope everyone is well. I think I'm going to start off by apologising as I dont think I'll be able to catch up with everyone's news on here. Sorry so sorry in advance if ive missed out any major news

Also I have a confession to make - I also dont like mini-eggs! Love cadbury's creme eggs though. Or does that not count? [hmm}

So excited for neeko! I'll probably end up checking my phone all night now for news

mls will be thinking of you tomorrow. Like moon said, its good to hear you're not weebling. Hopefully your lo will be waving at you when you have your scan. I'll be lurking as usual on my phone for news

QA and louey I dont think we've "met" yet. A sad welcome to you both. But I am sooo impressed at your posts - you're putting me to shame I'm sure you've already figured out but the ladies on here are simply the best!

mermaid Happy birthday again. What did you get up to?

blue at rolls of fat! Went to get Saara weighed today and she's 16 pounds and 2 ounces, which I think is good considering she had 11 days of diarrhea and wasnt feeding as well. She has been making up for it and we've increased her feeds to 7 ounces five times a day. Last week she was waking up in the night for feeds.

4ever sorry to hear about your weebling, but good to hear you sounding so positive today. Dont feel about how you're feeling - where else can we open up our hearts apart from on here. Ted Baker baby stuff is soo cute, Saara has a few things from there, but I try not to go too mad buying pricier stuff as she only gets to wear it a couple of times. Good to hear your ante-natal class went well too

vjay I also go through our old threads sometimes, especially on the mc boards. Hopefully we'll all stay friends forever! I sound all schoolgirly now! I know I've said it so many times but I still would love to meet up with any of you ladies. Sounds like you had a good day today with DS1.

moon sorry to hear TEW got you Love all this wedding talk too! I think someone suggested before about having a virtual hen night - I cant wait for that!

gracie Did the in-laws bring you some cooked food/goodies/mini-eggs when they came round?

monkey Don't really have more to add to what the others have said. Will be thinking of you for tomorrow morning. Sending you hairstrokes and have a hand to hold...

cupcake good to hear the move went well. As well as what mls said, having granny pants especially helped me as I ended up having an emergency c-section, and needed big enough pants that didnt sit on the scar. Hopefully you wont need a c-section though! And those big pads are one of the reasons you carry on waddling AFTER the birth!

iggy I also had a nosy at your house. Such a lovely place! How many places have you viewed so far?

barbie i'm absolutely loving the pics of Devon on youre profile - such such a beauty! Good luck with all the travelling this week.

curly nice to see you with your fab new hairstyle. I'm going to get mines cut next week as a birthday present to myself. I wasnt too proud of that thread as some of the comments on there werent very nice

lbm How did the curtain making go?

Hi to mrskate scamper lion scamper buddha jools bakingqueen and annie Did i miss anyone out?

Well our big news is we started weaning last week. Started with baby rice, but have since have also had banana flavoured cereal, homemade purees of carrott and sweet potato. Have also been given her finger foods like toast, cucumber, breadsticks. Thanks to lionstar for the advice on the weaning boards. I caught the first moments on camera. I'm just going to try all sorts of foods and have lots of fun with it, but keep on with the milk, especially as shes been drinking more milk. Also went to a session on weaning last week which helped lots. Thanks to everyone on here as well for their advice on weaning and naps and sleep patterns. Her routines messed up a bit last week but we seem to be back on track this week.

Was meant to be going back to work today, but am so glad I've extended it to September. It will be a bit tough financially but so worth it.

And finally, its Saara' half-year birthday tomorrow! I honestly dont know where the time has flown. I'm taking her into work on Wednesday to show her off (!) so that should be interesting. Will try to report back on the trip later on in the week

Night all (hopefully I havent cross-posted with anyone apart from news on Neeko!)

GracieGirl · 29/03/2010 22:36

Just found this site from a link from a miscarriage thread. It has a list of all the EPUs in the UK and helps find your nearest EPU etc. link

GracieGirl · 29/03/2010 22:30

I'm just hiding upstairs whilst DH tries to give Isabelle a bottle of expressed breast milk. He's given one or two a week for last 3 weeks. It doesn't sound like its going well. Does anyone have any tips for DH? I've been advised to keep out of the way so she doesn't think she can have me instead. I'm probably better to ask that question on the breastfeeding talk boards.

GracieGirl · 29/03/2010 22:26

QA I think you you must get a bonus point for getting the day neeko's waters broke, besides no one actually picked tomorrow did they?

MLS You know me far too well! They got me in my PJs! You see 4ever is right - I am wonderful cos I produced a cute grandaughter! Or more to the point I have selective deafness and don't care what the in-laws think! Mother-in-law took her from me when she walked in the door, Isabelle screamed, she passed her to father-in-law, Isabelle screamed even louder, so she was passed to me and instantly fell back to sleep! Do you think Isabelle is getting the vibes from me not to like the in-laws???

Blue what are you trying to say about our newcomer - Lousey!!!

Push Neeko push!!! MLS can you text me if you get Neeko news - don't mind how late/early.

littlebellsmum · 29/03/2010 22:18

Thanks for the update MLSthematernitynurse. V excited for the Neeko family.

You can have my very tired hands to hold tomorrow if you need any more MLS and Monkey. Hope tomorrow brings good news, monkey, as you said life is throwing just too much at you at the moment and it just doesn't seem fair.

Hi to everyone else - I promise I will do personals soon but currently just too tired and busy to be on long - work is busy and there are so many things at home I want/ need to do before babba arrives as I know it will be at least 3 months before I'll be able to do anything productive afterwards!

BlueMoon1981 · 29/03/2010 21:51

qa you put me to shame, i have to admit i am not very good at posting to everyone you are doing a great job!

hi mls glad you are not weebling too much, we will all be with you in spirit tomorrow

me and df are fine thanks for asking, i just ignore him when he annoys me a tad childish i know but better than having a big argument about it, we only seem to have 1 or 2 of those a year and they are massive!

forgot to say earlier, keeping my fingers crossed for monkey that everything will turn out ok, my other hand is for you (mls you have my other )

almost time to welcome babyneeko to the world i cant wait

MummyLovesSadie · 29/03/2010 21:38

Waves to QA you are keeping up well, it's like you've been here for months!

MummyLovesSadie · 29/03/2010 21:35

Evening all

Neeko's contractions did start before she went to hospital, they were coming every 10 minutes. So excited for her. Hope it's a quick one. I don't think I'll sleep tonight as I'll have my phone glued to my hand!

Monkey I don't know what to say. What a horribly worrying year you have had. Like the others said there are 29 chances that your baby is fine. I have a friend who's blood tests came back with bad results so she had an amnio which showed that the baby is ok & she is due to give birth next weekend. I've heard that the blood tests are only about 60-70% accurate. Is a cvs more accurate than an amnio? Will be thinking about you tomorrow.

4ever so glad to hear you much chirpier today. My scan is at 2.20, not weebling too much actually!

Happy birthday Mermaid what's been happening with you?

Hello too to Jools if you are lurking.

Louey I had really chronic headaches after each mc, like 4ever said it's the hormone crash. I'm really touched about what you said about the October thread. I know how hard it can be as I as was on two different antenatal threads last year with some of the ladies on this thread & had to drop out of both of them.

Gracie did you actually managed to get out of your pj's before the outlaws arrived or did you open the door half dressed, baby hanging off boob, greasy hair scowling "Wot?"!!

Vjay that was very foolish brave of you looking at the thread from last year! I definitely do not want to revisit any of it! I had one of these for nighttime feeds, it saved my sanity.

Moon how are things between you & df now?

Cupcake so happy that everything is coming together for you. Did you cry when you got home & saw the cot??! Yes you will have a bit of a flood situation on your hands (& in your pants!) after the birth but don't worry that's not the painful bit! Seriously have you checked out the size of those maternity pads, they are like mattresses! The worst of the bleeding calms down a few hours after the birth, then it is just like a period for a few weeks.

Barbie I remember the whole rubber-nipple thing when I was breastfeeding. How far do small babies think our nipples stretch, ouch!

Iggy have you had anyone round to look at the house yet?

Blue how is ds2 now. I think you deserve a big gold star & a bag of mini-eggs for your perseverance.

Big waves to everyone I've missed off. My brain is frazzled & I can't really concentrate as I keep wondering what exactly Neeko is doing now! I hope MrNeeko is mopping her brow & saying all the right things, otherwise keeping his big trap firmly shut! Push Neeko push!

QuestionsAnswered · 29/03/2010 21:25

moon for you that this month isn't it for you, will add to the positive vibes along with everyone else for next month to be yours Would love the role of wedding planner, think I may have some competition on here for the job though blue is also a fellow wedding magazine lover, so feel we may have the relevant experience!

4ever glad you had a good experience at your antenatal classes. Sounds like you have had quite a journey to get to where you are now 30 weeks is a lovely stage to be at, bumps getting nice and big and even though it feels like forever, you are getting so close now. I completely understand about the 'loop in your head' and it really is good to offload some of that.

MLS thinking of you for tomorrow, I know how I would feel a mix of terror and excitement, so lots of luck to you

barbie how did you get that picture of me

vjay soft play sounds like it went rally well, how many children do you have? So pleased everything is going well with the bottles, it's amazing how long we spend agonising over decisions and then they take to it like a duck to water.

louey hope your migraine goes soon, can't be good having to chase around after the DT's feeling so bad. I like a saga, what has happened with your childcare, has your nanny ran off with the milkman? you are as obsessed as ThePfj with mini-eggs, what is wrong with you people

Iggypiggy a spa day sounds great, could do with one of those myself (as well as new bras!)

cupcake Cardiff is meant to be very cosmopolitan these days, at least that's what I keep seeing on the TV Your Dh sounds like he has been fab.

monkey What a nightmare for you, others have already given great advice so will just lots of luck for the CVS, I hope it brings you the news you are hoping for.

Gracie Am impressed you have time to type at all, let alone one handed with a tiny baby at home.

Mermaid Happy Birthday to you, hope you have had a great day.

Neeko What can I say, thanks so much for holding out until my day on the sweepstake, though I am assuming it doesn't count unless you actually give birth on my day???!! So, if you could hurry up Hope you have a calm, painfree and uneventful birth, sending you good birthing vibes

ThePfj hope you are doing ok and are just resting and lurking. Have got mini-eggs if that will tempt you?

GracieGirl · 29/03/2010 21:25

Any news on Neeko?

bluesatinsash · 29/03/2010 21:01

lousey? louey of course!

My spelling is atrocious at the moment and to think I used to win the spelling b in primary 4!
