blue after a bit of research i think i am a 'spring' thanks for the good advice i hadnt even considered what colour would actually suit me.

GracieGirl · 01/04/2010 21:29

QA I'm sorry you've hit a low spot. Its so heartbreaking when you still get a positive pregnancy test weeks after you so definately know you're not pregnant anymore. Its like a kick in the teeth. Stick with us and we'll look after you.

MLS Get well soon. I'm sorry you're feeling rough, I hope DH and DD are looking after you. I think my DH was a bit frazzled after spending 2.5 hours bouncing Isabelle around to keep her happy - I think he'd forgotten how tiring it can be since he's gone back to work and only gets her for the odd hour and always with my help.

the Easter bunnies are back!!!

Neeko so pleased to hear from you, its lovely to hear everything is going well with the lovely Hannah.

Waves to PFJ and Louey! I hope you're both ok.

Moon your friend must be so worried! Surely your DF won't mind you having 20 bridesmaids!!

Blue I hope the bottle feeding goes ok.

4ever Yes we'll be at church on Sunday - hopefully Isabelle will continue sleeping through the services for a while yet!

Monkey results tomorrow, I hope tonight flies by and you wake up from your bad dream to hear some good news.

Isabelle's been a bit grumpy today but otherwise ok after the injections.

BlueMoon1981 · 01/04/2010 20:57

blue what a lovely post, you almost seem like you are bouncing happily along well i have e cups so plenty on the boobage front! i have no idea what colours suit me, i am very pale skinned with naturally blonde hair (although extra highlights) so what do i need to not look washed out? i also go pink very easily in the heat or when drinking!

hope the bottle feeding goes ok.

mls like the new role, i love having hair and make up done, reminds me of me and my sister doing each others on a school night at 1 in the morning

just found out my friend who i shared my edd with has had her baby admitted to hospital with a hole in the heart

bluesatinsash · 01/04/2010 20:40

they're baaaack!

Evening gals, and offical yay! welcome to Emmsy's graduate number 12 Hannah Denise, you enjoy every second Neeko. Can relate to the at gender as I was convinced B was a girl until he nearly knocked me out with his (ahem) goolies as he was swung above me .

In no particular order rather than when my baby brain can remember:

Moon - yum, empire line and floaty sounds gorgeous... Very 'A Midsummers Night Dream', Now how are you on the boobage front? As we could have it tastefully low cut to show a bit of bosom but long sleeved to balance it out? Colour wise are you tinking white? Have you ever had your colours done as sometimes cream just doens't suit i.e. I'm a 'winter' and look bloody awful in cream/beige/yellow but gorgeous in clear blues/white/pink. Hair wise are you thinking up/down? up with real flowers in it would be lovely.... Will think some more... oh and favours I have a cigar and box of matches with dictonary definition of wedding on cover for guys and my home made chocolate balls in Confetti.co.uk party boxes with DH and my name and date of wedding on tag for ladies..

Gracie - glad you enjoyed your 2.5 hours of freedom and your one glass of wine .

Vjay - lol at you talking to yourself . what are you doing tomorrow if I remember its national autism week this week with event happening on 2nd?

MLS - lovely to se you photo on fb, so chuffed for you you but sorry to hear your kidneys have been hurting. big rest up now!

QA - big hug lovely lady. Its hard as the others have said, life does go on but our hearts and emotions dragg along behind and it leaks out in ways and at times that are so hard and sad and just hard. I found talking about it to those who I felt really cared helpful and I always used the word miscarriage didn't soften it or anything. Since I had Ben I've spoken about it more as people ask if I want another and I tell them about the 2 mc between DS1 and 2 just to raise awareness and not hide it.

Monkey - thinking of you xx

4ever I kinda thought you would appeal your appraisal as you are one strong kick-ass lady

Sabs - how's the weaning going?

mermaid - sneaky eloping with bun in overn - I love it and can picture you giggling and tying cans to back of moon's just married car.

Had a lovely afternoonin Stirling with my Mum and the boys. bought B some lovely things from Junior J in Debenhams as they do really traditional pale blue romper suits. Had a [ at the Baker things thinking of 4ever.

Did have a hormonal outbust in Boots as - deep breath - I've decided to introduce a bottle. B was up 4 times last night 11.30pm/1.30am/3.10am and 5.45am and I really think its because he is not getting enough milk during the day due to his colic/fretting/wind at his 10aam/1pm and/or 4pm feed. I was quite teary stadning in front of aptimal carton (and that wasn't just looking at the price of it these days . I don't know why as i'm still goign to be bf and DS1 was on a bottle from 12 weeks, its probably because its the start of the end of a wee era him moving away from just me and my (.)(.). The plan is to give him it as his 10pm feed but I'm going to try it at his 'fretting' feed at 10am tomorrow to guage if he takes it OK and see if it makes a difference to his wind... wish me luck!

Thought I'd update the list to welcome Hannah

BUNNY SMILIES

Aww gracie thats lovely Isabelle knows who you are already, and of course you are brilliant, you are a woman after all!

curly if you all want to be bridemaids then you can the more the merrier! lol at you thinking im a classy girl, i think df may have something to say about that! lovely that curly girl knows who you are too, must be so so heart warming.

qa sorry that you are feeling so alone, please remember we are all here to help. it will get easier, but as the lovely mermaid says it just takes time. i am 10 months away from my last mc, and it does get easier to bear i promise you, but you dont forget and you still shed a quiet tear from time to time. hang on in there

mls how very crap about your infection, and about the risk of mc, needless to say all fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed for little bean to remain firmly attached.

neeko welcome back

MummyLovesSadie · 01/04/2010 19:50

The bunnies are here!!!

littlebellsmum · 01/04/2010 19:50

Moon I was thinking that there were no jobs left for your wedding that I was any good at, however, could I be chief wine and champagne taster/ buyer. Happy to do a trip to France to get the best vintages - which I did for my hen do for my wedding dontcha know! It was a really lovely weekend, we drank so much bubbly and saved so much money that the weekend paid for itself!!

littlebellsmum · 01/04/2010 19:45

Hurrah, neeko is back!! Lovely to see you again - have you recovered and are you both home yet. Hannah is a lovely name - you did really well to come up with a girls name when you were all lined up for a boy! How is DD1 liking her baby sister?

Neeko · 01/04/2010 19:34

Hi all. Apologies for the huge delay (clearly just laziness on my behalf ) DD2 is called Hannah Denise and is an absolute joy with loads of dark hair. She is the image of her sister as a newborn and we're delighted with her (although initially very surprised she wasn't a he!)

No time for huge posts but hope to be back soon. Thanks for all the lovely texts and posts. (Mermaid try to keep a hold of this phone)

Monkey Sending you all the love and positive thoughts in the world. Take care xx

MummyLovesSadie · 01/04/2010 17:46

Afternoon all, I've got the mother of all kidney infections which is why I've not been around for a couple of days. Yesterday night I woke up shivering & sweating & in the morning I had stabbing pains in my kidneys. The doctor said I have an infection & has put me on antibiotics & he told me there is a risk of miscarriage with the infection . Yesterday the pain was so bad I actually thought by kidneys were failing but I'm definitely feeling a bit better today so my fears of it harming the baby are fading.

Come on Neeko you are at home now, where's your post & pics eh??? Anyone would think you have your hands full or something!

Mermaid sorry to hear about your cat, when a pet dies it's like you lose a little bit of your history.

Monkey how are you doing today? Is it tomorrow you get your results?

Curly I'm sure I'm not imagining things but when I quickly read the thread this morning, you had a big bunny on your post saying "play with me". I'm not imagining it am I? Where did it go?

Moon can I be in charge of flowers? I did my bouquet & the table arrangements for my wedding. [smarty-pants emoticon]

QA Sorry this is dragging on for you, most people think that once the miscarriage is over then you can move on but it's not as easy as that. I think I still had positive hpt's for about three weeks after each mc. There is no way you can move on when that line on the stick is telling you that you are still pregnant when you know that you are not. It's a very weird feeling to actually be elated about getting a negative hpt. We all know what you are going through & how crap it is so please keep taking.

Gracie your dh sounds lovely, I'm quite jealous at how appreciative he is of you as my dh has never said anything like that!

Vjay how is your hip/back?

4ever you are sounding very chirpy & it sounds like you enjoyed your retail therapy. I bet you 50p though that you'll buy at least one more item of maternity wear before you pop!

Louey how was the swimming? Is your neck/headache any better? I remember reading on another website that a cup of coffee really helps that post-mc headache. I would have tried it as my headaches were so bad but I can't stand coffee!

Blue how are you & how is ds2's feeding going. Like you I was a devotee to GF with my dd but I plan to be more relaxed & less paranoid next time.

Pfj how are you doing?

Waves to everyone else I've missed. I hope you all have good Easter weekends planned. My parents were coming to stay but I've had to cancel them (which I'm really disappointed about) & instead I'm going to spend the day recovering in bed whilst dh entertains dd.

CurlyBigPants · 01/04/2010 11:54

mermaid you're such a softie I should have guessed that you and your dh would have been so romantic as to nearly elope. Cmon spill the beans

questionsanswered it's sad but others move on long before we do. I am so lucky to have a baby now and most of the time I can forget but I still cry sometimes for my lost little ones. I'm sorry if this thread sometimes gets a bit baby oriented rather than focussing on the MCs and conception. I know I found that hard before I got pregnant again but please don't think that we will forget that you are grieving and need hugs and hairstrokes. As the lovely mermaid says, it will get brighter every day and you will gradually feel more like your old self. Do something really nice for yourself this weekend and get out for a long walk with dh if u can. Whenever you need to talk there is always someone here to listen xxx

mermaidspurse · 01/04/2010 10:53

oh forgot moon me and dh practially eloped for our wedding, with a 4 month bump I might addso I am not very good at any of the planning but I will volunteer to be the the kind soul who places fish on the exhaust manifold, writes lipstick 'just married' on all the windows and adds a rather natty line of tin cans to your tow bar.

mermaidspurse · 01/04/2010 10:33

qaIt is hard when real life carries on for everyone else and you feel left behind to deal with the grief.
The positives are hard too, your poor body will take time to adjust back to normal. I guess you still have lots of hormones fizzing around, be very gentle on yourself and expect quite a few little slumps and feeling fragile. Its natural and normal.

Go with it, you sound very grounded and lovely. The sun will slowly seem a little brighter everyday. I think it usually takes me maybe 2,3 months to feel back on any sort of even keel - sorry!

I locked up my grief until it all exploded on my edd and it's a good lesson in what not to do. The problem is it's such a taboo, it makes it all so much harder to cope and we hate to burden our friends too much hence this great thread.
You could ask for a wee bit of councelling at the surgery, it's always good to go bluurrggh at a stranger somehow.

QuestionsAnswered · 01/04/2010 08:54

curly it's so hard to see them have their jabs, the protective urge is so strong, I remember feeling irrationally annoyed with the nurse!

gracie glad you enjoyed your night out, it's nice to be out, but even better to be home isn't it. Bet that wine tasted good!

bluemoom can I be chief florist, glad the list is coming together, can see many links appearing on this thread in the coming weeks

Vjay hope you get some respite from the pain soon. I am impressed that you are studying with a baby around. Looked at your profile after I asked how many DC's you had, don't know why I hadn't thought of it before!

4ever I think the fact that you are going to appeal the appraisal decision shows that you are feeling stronger. sounds like they have behaved terribly, you are right to not let them get away with it. Good to get some new maternity clothes too, I skimped on clothes when i was pregnant with DS and regretted it, you think it won't be that long, but it feels like a lot longer when you wear the same maternity skirt for the 3rd time that week

mrskate hope your and DS are both ok and you are enjoying those lovely early days

mermaid I daren't raise your Noreen in case we stumble on a name neeko is going to use and she comes on here ready to announce it and sees it already here

cupcake glad it is going well, no connection for a week. I don't know what I would do I think we should start posting rude links, disguised as baby stuff, just to fool you in to opening them at the library in front of everyone

louey hope your headache is improving, loved your tension headache, 'No shit Sherlock' comment! I am sure Doctors are very intelligent, but sometimes.... The tension of having to pull yourself together and look after the DT's will be making it harder, there's no wallowing when the DC's are around is there?

LBS sometimes there are not enough hours in the day, make sure you plan in some rest between organising everything and work.

blue you are doing a great job, love chunky babies and general squishyness!

neeko hope you are doing well and you are out of HDU and enjoying babyneeko.

monkey still thinking of you

pfj Make sure yous stock up on mini eggs, they are harder to get hold of after easter! Hope you are doing ok too, have you had a bit of a dip the last few days too?

Hope I have caught up on recent posts, apologies to anyone I have missed.

Well, did another test and it is still positive, got another letter from the hospital to say to do it on the 13th april, even though Doctor on the phone said to do it today Can't believe how long this is dragging on for. The up's and down's seem to have gone and been replaced with just feeling bit low last couple of days.

Feeling a bit alone with it all tbh. Told very few people and except for one person, I feel like its over as far as they are concerned. DH is being really good, but obviously for him he has moved on quicker than me, so it is hard for him to truly understand.

The long weekend might perk me up a bit

CurlyBigPants · 01/04/2010 07:04

Sabs can we make the wedding favours chocolate based? I didn't do favours at my wedding so want to make the most of moons one

CurlyBigPants · 01/04/2010 07:02

monkey just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you honey. This must be a hellish time for you. I wish you were here so I could give you a massive hug and some of cupcakes hairstrokes. xxx

mermaid so lovely to "see" ya. Sorry about your cat honey, hope u are doing well otherwise and looking forward to a Cornish summer. It's bloody freezing here in London at the moment... Brrr

moon I'm delighted at my new role. I need to go shopping for an outfit though or are we all bridesmaids (go on, you know you want 20 bridesmaids!!)

Very excited about the hen weekend in Dubai too what do you reckon barbie? moon seems like a classy kind of girl. Do we go with tack or sophistication?

louey hoping you feeling a bit better hon. loving the name ethelred

4ever I'm glad u r fighting that battle. Unless u get paid mad amounts then the grade signifies their recognition of all your hard work in a very trying year so stick to ur guns hon

Jools hope you are ok?

Gracie well done you for getting out curlygirl had her jabs yesterday and it nearly broke my heart when she screamed have really noticed over last few days that she seems to suddenly know I'm her mummy though which makes me melt. I'm sitting here gazing at my lovely little one and gorgeous dh and feel so blessed

Yay for stronger painkillers vj lol at the side effects tho - talking to yourself is the first sign of madness!! Hope the physio helps hon

missing you cupcake. I'll keep u posted on news

big waves to blue and annie and everyone I've missed and a huge snuggle to babyneeko

GracieGirl · 31/03/2010 23:37

Isabelle was so cute when she saw me, and went all relaxed when I picked her up then when straight to sleep. She missed her Mummy. Bless!

DH keeps telling me how brilliant I am! I should go out more often!

I'm taking Isabelle for her first immunisations tomorrow morning.

GracieGirl · 31/03/2010 22:24

I'm back! I stayed out 2.5 hours, all seems to have gone ok and now DH thinks I'm amazing for managing with Isabelle all the time, he's knackered after 2 hours!!! I had 1 large glass of wine and I didn't fall over!
