Evening ladies.

Just popping in to let monkey know I'm thinking of you for tomorrow. You're such a brave lady. The posts on here from the others have left me in tears and I cant get over what you ladies have had to go through. I feel so useless as I've had no advice for you except to say you've been in my thoughts all weekend

mls glad you're home. Hope you're feeling better.

curly dont feel bad about not texting me. I was able to lurk to check for news.

We've had a busy weekend and got a busy few weeks ahead of me. Its my birthday on Thursday so went for an early birthday brunch yesterday and our car nearly got towed away . DH had to sprint when I saw the truck hovering over the car!

Right, i'm babbling now . Will try to post a couple of photo's of Saara on here. I've posted way too many on FB

By the way I saw the April Fools bunny on Friday as well

loueytbg · 05/04/2010 21:47

Monkey just want you to know that I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I can't imagine what you will have to go through and I'm sorry the whole thing has been prolonged by the bank holiday weekend. I think lots of the others have posted more sensible and eloquent things than I ever could. Hopefully some of the posts that 4ever has written will help you.

MLS poor you - hope you are back at home and feeling a bit better.

Will do a proper post tomorrow. I'm going back to work but still bleeding

littlebellsmum · 05/04/2010 21:30

Just calling in to tell monkey that I'm thinking of you too for tomorrow.

Met a new midwife today who was lovely and had 4 children - child no 1, 5 mc's and then three dc's in quick succession.

VJay · 05/04/2010 20:36

monkey I am here too, you've not been far from my thoughts all day, will be thinking of you all day tomorrow. I hope you can take strength from us all here, dotted all over the place, and all thinking of you and your dh xxx

MummyLovesSadie · 05/04/2010 19:42

Be strong lovely Monkey xxx

CurlyBigPants · 05/04/2010 18:29

Hey lovely ladies, I spent an hour typing a post on my phone then went to look up something and lost it all so I've left curlygirl with her auntie and I've dusted off the laptop. Just wanted to post to send more hugs to monkey. She texted earlier to say that she is feeling too awful to post at the moment but that the support she is getting on here is helping to keep her going. She'd also like raspberry sorbet haagen daz and some mini-eggs so I'll stock up on the icecream and I know thePFJ will be round with fresh supplies of minieggs.

Stay strong monkey you are such a wonderful brave person and you will come out the other side of the awfulness of tomorrow.I think 4ever and blue have expressed it much better but you mean a lot to us and we will help in any way we can. We'll be here lurking on our cushions and beanbags for when you need us after, and thinking about you all the while xxx

blue that was a very touching post and thanks also so much for the advice on colic. We will try this tiger position on curlygirl tonight. She has been great all day but is much worse in the evenings.

MLS hope u feeling better and rubbing that lovely bump. We are going to go shopping for some lovely stretchy pants for you soon

4ever my lovely it makes me so sad when I read about what you've been through, but I'm so excited about the next couple of months xxx

BuddhaBelly · 05/04/2010 14:40

MLS Just a quickie to say thank goodness you're all OK give that baby bump a stroke from me x

Back later for full catch up , think I will have to grap a notepad and pen for it!

BuddhaBelly · 05/04/2010 14:39

I came on to try and catch up with everyone, but after reading monkeys sad news I'm only posting to her for the time being and will catch up with everyone else later on in the week.
Monkey What can I say I am so so sorry to hear of the awful time you are going through and I so wish I'd got on here sooner, you and I were on another m/c thread way back when I was Mollie and you were a fab support then, so I just want to give you another shoulder to cry on, its brilliant that 4ever has this invaluable advice for you but so incredibly sad that its only because she's been through this. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and will ensure I come on for updates more regularly. You have been through so much already, but are sounding so strong and positive, don't forget to keep posting when it all hits you too, we want to be here to look after you xx

GracieGirl · 05/04/2010 14:32

Just a quick post, I'm really pleased to hear MLS is back home and feeling much better.

Monkey you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.

Isabelle has conjunctivitis, I've been bathing it with cooled boiled water, does anyone have any other tips?

BlueMoon1981 · 05/04/2010 14:16

blue and 4ever you sum up so well what i can never seem to say, your words are always truly beautiful and make me well up!

mls im so pleased you are home and on your way to recovery

monkey big hugs to get you through this sad time

can't stop, just popping in for a quick catch up. heard from my friend today that her baby who got rushed into hospital with a hole in her heart has been allowed home today

4everhopeful · 05/04/2010 13:33

Hello lovelies

Just a quick one from me, MLS glad you are home and on the road to recovery, my mum was rushed to hospital with blood clots on her lung just before our wedding but is fine now than god! The thought of that must of been very scary for you whilst worrying about baby.. Glad they have you properly diagnosed now and nipped the pneumoia in the bud and all is ok with LO.. Rest up & take it easy...

Monkey I have been thinking of you constantly and its made me so .. I lit an extra candle for your little one in church yesterday and said special prayers, DH did too.. Im sure you have the mixed emotions today, of dreading tomorrow, yet also just wanting it over with.. I echo the others, and as I said in my last post to you, that whilst DH may be finding this incredibly hard, that possibly seeing your LO, naming him or her (which I think you may have too for registering the birth/death), and even a photo or footprints, may help with the greiving process in the long run... Its an awful thing to have to contend with and I just couldnt get my head round it myself when we had to think about all that.. as I said though, you go in autopilot & somewhere deep inside you do find some inner strength to continue to function in a strange numb sense til you get out the other side.. Im so pleased your Dad is there for you, and that you are already on the case for a break away afterwards, I have always found it cathartic..

Theres something else I thought of, I wanted to say everything as soon as you told me, but have felt the need to dripfeed you some of my experiences as its all so overwhelming as it is, but sadly, when you are this far along, you boobs will engorge and you will produce milk, no-one told me it would happen, and it mortified me. A few days after my op my boobs went like rock and started leaking, it was so painful, and very distressing.. Obviously you have DS so have experienced it before, but just thought I should warn you..

I really have just thought of you all weekend long, and it just makes me so .. Im glad you are taking some comfort from the support you are recieving on here, its truly invaluable. I only discovered these amazing ladys after our 3rd awful loss that Iv spent this last week reliving.. It was whilst googling for info on the whole nuchal fold issue, which was 8mm in the end, and potential outcomes of it, that I stumbled across MN and 'Emmsys Angels, Support for Mummies of Lost Angels' back in Jul 08, I just remember crying at something so poignantly named, and that yes, there was acknowledgement that I was a mummy, even though my 3 babies had all gone straight to heaven... I hope you can take some faith, as the church service was emphasising yesterday, that there is always hope (my family motto is 'While I breath I Hope' BIL has tattoo in his back!). Although I lost my 4th last Jan, here I am with 8 & half weeks til I (please god) hopefully finally become a mummy.. Everytime I have felt her kick this weekend I smile and thank god..

Anyway sweetheart, just want you to know that I am sending you strength, love and hugs, for what will be no doubt one of the most traumatic things you will have to endure.. All of us on here are united in the circle of strength we are trying to send you.. My heart goes out to you... Lots of love x x x x x

bluesatinsash · 05/04/2010 11:47

Hello lovely ladies,

Ben is sleeping and DH and DS1 are in B&Q (its the Bank holiday what can I say?). Been meanng to come on but just feeling so and thoughtful and again for lovely monkey. MLS you hit the nail on the head when you say that monkey is showing such dignity in what can only be a living hell.

We are all here monkey sitting in our tight circle just being thoughtful and being here for you. I will be thinking about you tomorrow and the next dy and the next day and if you show the same strength you have had on here over the past few days then you WILL get through this and come out the other side and on to happier times xxxxxx

Hey to everyone else, PFJ - I'm desperate to get stuck into the gardening but its pouring with rain here and blowing a gale. I'm starting a veg patch for the boys and itching to get it all going so I can produce courgettes at the kitchen table sometime this year . LOL at your bank account needing resusitated.

Vjay - hope you managed to relax a little over the weekend even although your DH was working. Retail eh? I watched the Sound of Music with the boys and DS1 and me were singing along. He is so used to the songs especially Aldelvise and My favourite things . 'Operation formula' was a complete disaster. Ben simply refused point blank to take the bottle. Not so much a refusal as I "what do I do with this thing you have put in my mouth?" I had gotten out the way of giving him EBM and he hadn't taken a bottle for @ 4 weeks so only have myself to blame but just found sterilising and expressing such a drag on my already precious free time! We are giving it a rest just now and going to try again in a few weeks. He has to be off the boob come July though as I go back to work then .

He has been a little more settled at day feeds (touch wood) and was only up ONCE last night - 2am - then not again til 7am!! Fluke? probably but it didn't stop me going in twice when I thought I heard him and he was sleeping, err like a baby.

Barbie - how are you enjoying being home? How was lovely Devon on the flight?

Curly - so sorry to hear curlygirl has colic. We're just coming out the other end of that with B and I know think he has a touch of reflux! Have you tried the 'sleeping tiger' hold? You lie baby tummy down on your arm and you can stroke their back. It always calms B down.

MLS - so glad you're home and getting better. You must have been terrified wondering what was wrong.

Hey to everyone else, hope the weather is better where you all are. I'm not leaving the house today, going to curl up on couch and watch 'Spy Kids' with DS1 eating chocolate.

Love to all xxx

CurlyBigPants · 05/04/2010 05:51

Have to apolgise to sabs too. I keep forgetting to text update on MLS during day and only remember during the night when it's too late. Sorry hon x

CurlyBigPants · 05/04/2010 05:49

MLS welcome back honey. We were worried so hope you feel much better today xxx

big hugs to monkey xxx

Sleepy waves to everyone else. Curlygirl has developed colic and cannot be comforted in the evenings at the moment. Poor little thing is wearing us out!

ThePFJ · 05/04/2010 00:47

Hugs MLS, I misread the last post .. thought it was your LO in hospital not you! Sounds like you have had an awful time, I cried when they took blood from my artery too! (If it comforts you at all). Hope you get better soon.

Night all. xxx

MummyLovesSadie · 04/04/2010 21:25

Monkey I feel absolutely devastated for you. When I had the text from Gracie on Friday I just wanted to give you a massive great big hug. I can't believe how cruel life can sometimes be & it breaks my heart to think what you've had to endure in such a short space of time. I couldn't sleep on Friday night because every time I closed my eyes I'd think of you & the tears would start. On top of everything that has happened to you, now you have to endure labour, it's like pain heaped on pain heaped on even more pain. I would agree with getting the midwife to write down the sex for you. Are they going to let you see your baby if you want to & are they going to be able to prevent you from seeing if you don't want to? I've seen lots of beautiful photo's of little hands & little feet of babies who were born too soon, maybe that's something you might want to consider? I'm sure your lo will look like a very small, perfectly formed sleeping baby & I'd hate you to not see but then go on to imagine all sorts of horrors in the future. Again I'm sure the midwife will know the right thing to do. I'm sure your Mum is sending down strength to you on this difficult night. I've just lit a candle for you & all I can say is that as long as I live I'll never forget the amount you have had to endure & you have done so with such dignity.

So, a little bit about my weekend: Woke on Friday morning with chest pains on breathing in, went to out of hours doctor who sent me to hospital with suspected blood clot on lung, which is something that can happen in pregnancy. Spent hours on a trolley with scary fever, had blood taken from vein & when they told me they would have to take some from an artery too I burst into tears as I know that one fecking hurts. They said they wanted to do a chest x-ray & I'd be staying the night. I got pumped with blood thinning injections, antibiotic injections & had to use a face-mask nebuliser. They finally woke me at 1am to do the x-ray & the next day told me I had pneumonia & I'd have to stay in another night. Feeling a lot better now just a bit feak & weeble.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend full of chocolate & bunnies.

ThePFJ · 04/04/2010 19:28

Hugs for your wobbles.

Weather is lovely today, its really making me feel happy. Are you scoffing easter eggs? Bet you can't guess which easter egg I have got!!? I love the name Hannah too, its really really pretty. Reminds me of a few weeks ago when me and DH were arguing discussing boys names. If it was a girl it would have been Elsa. I love this thread too... its really nice to drop in and feel like you are with people who understand you.

I am ebaying at the moment, trying to find little Jack some brio wooden train set bits to add on for him. He is 2 on Wedsnesday, I can't believe how far he has come.

Love ya all. xxx

monkey I can't imagine how bad things must feel for you right now, but It is lovely to read the posts on here right now and to see how much everybody cares about you and how sad everyone is for you. You seem like a pretty amazing person and I wish you all the strength in the world to get through the next few days in particular and hope that you and your Dh can find some way of helping both of you to heal, no matter what decisions you make. I have cried reading your posts and the replies here and hope you take some comfort from knowing that a whole bunch of people are out there thinking and praying for you and your family. [HUGS]

vjay hope Ajay has continued to sleep through for you, sleep makes you feel like a new woman doesn't it. Glad the painkillers are helping things too.

Gracie I hadn't linked the time and date so thanks for clearing that up about MN's april fools.

Louey how are you feeling today, has the bleeding stopped yet? The fact that it has started again can't be easy for you, I know I was relieved when mine stopped as it is such a constant reminder iyswim?

Neeko Hannah is gorgeous, you must be so pleased. How is she settling in to family life?

LBM hope you are enjoying a bit of help with the children, nice to be able to step back sometimes and let someone else doing the running

barbie bit of a change in temperature here then?! Are you visiting family, when I skimmed the thread when i first started, I remember that you were coming back to England for a visit, but can't remember any details.

MLS so pleased to hear that you are making a good recovery and that baby is ok, you must be so relieved. Take it easy when you get home, it will really have knocked you and it can take quite a while for you to get back to full fitness.
