mls hope you are holding up ok, i agree with curly in that if it would make a difference then do what you feel is right, but also agree i wouldnt risk mc for anything or anyone. big hug for you too, wish i could help with something a bit more productive.

MummyLovesSadie · 07/04/2010 19:45

Oh God Monkey you poor poor thing. I wish there was a way of making this easier for you. We are all praying for you & holding your hands & stroking your hair.

4everhopeful · 07/04/2010 19:32

Just updating that poor poor monkey is still having contractions & going through a living nightmare of still waiting... I told her how much love & support has been radiating from here in a way rarely seen before for & she is very grateful & sends her love back...

Neeko · 07/04/2010 17:58

Hi

Monkey You have been constantly in my thoughts. Hope you're bearing up ok. gracie and Blue's words had me sobbing too, but I hope you find some comfort in them.

MLS Know we've texted loads about it but glad you have a plan now for the Monica in you and really glad to hear you feeling more grounded. My hands here for you whenever.

Louey sorry things are so rubbish for you. Hope you can have some physical closure soon.

Cupcake Glad my texts are helping I have lovely pics (which I'm not posting due to big naked bum! ) of me holding H in the birthing pool wearing my tankini top and I hadn't even passed the placents yet. I used a tens machine with both girls in theearly stages and it really helped. Make sure you start using it with the first few contractions.

Blue thanks for the advice today.

Gracie I survived but was exhausted

Sorry, being called for or at least my boobs are!!! Love to all.

cupcakefairy · 07/04/2010 15:08

Knock knock...
...I have just been having a mammoth catch up and I must say the way you ladies pull together in a crisis is really just overwhelming. The love and support for monkey over the last few days has just been incredible and I love the image of all of us just pulling together, eating chocolate and holding a little vigil for monkey and her precious angel. You are all very special.

Monkey I thought of you all day yesterday and sent prayers up for you. So sorry to hear you were still waiting last night. I hope it's over for you now. gracie what you said about baby being too precious for this earth was just beautiful. I can't get over the injustice of everything that's happened to you monkey but I do know that the darkest hour of the night is just before the dawn. Massive hugs and hairstrokes to you honey.

4ever my lovely, thanks for keeping me updated the last few days. I might need you to continue the service for a while as not in the office again til Monday and internet not being connected at home til a week Fri, boo. Reading about your experience has been so heart-wrenching too but I'm just so glad one of us can support monkey all the more for having been through it.

MLS Feel so sad reading you say one day you will enjoy this pregnancy... it's just horrible and unfair that even past the 'magic' 12 weeks you still have all this worry. I'm inclined to agree with your dh though that the odds aren't awful. Hopefully things will be clearer after the next blood test. Here's my other hand.

Neeko- hello yummy mummy with the gorgeous new dd hope you are doing ok. Thanks for your reassuring texts, I am looking forward to feeling like superwoman after I give birth to this baby (which I'm more certain by the day is a whopping great big lad)

Curly sorry your girl is colicky must be so horrible not being able to comfort them at all. Hope the tiger thing works for you (that sounds so cute!)

Gracie hope Isabelle's eyes are clearing up poor thing

Blue sorry the whole formula thing hasn't worked out yet but glad B is a bit more settled.

Well we had a lovely Easter weekend away at the in-laws (even though mil annoyed me by totally raining on my parade about having baby in the bedside cot ) and the house is now almost in order...dh is going to put pictures on the walls tonight and then it will feel more like home I have got as far as packing baby's things, a tens machine and my tankini for the hospital could be interesting if I have to be rushed in tonight

Massive hugs to you all; am missing being in touch every day!

MummyLovesSadie · 07/04/2010 14:21

Well I have slight progress at least, I'm booked in for another blood test next Tuesday - its the quadruple test. It will be added onto my existing odds so they will either go up or down. I'll have the results by the time I see my consultant next Friday. One day I'll be able to relax & enjoy this pregnancy...

Louey sorry you are now having to play this awful waiting game. I remember the waiting, waiting to mc, waiting for the bleeding to stop, waiting for a neg hpt, waiting to ovulate.... it's all designed to mess with your head.

anniebigpants · 07/04/2010 10:54

hello ladies, sorry ive been AWOL for a while, thanks to those that have updated me by text as to any news.
Im still reading through trying to catch up so will do a massive post sometime today-promise.
Just want to say i am so sorry to hear poor Monkeys news, poor love, after all she has been through, life really is so cruel sometimes .
Im thinking of you Monkey, im not as good with words as some of the ladies on here, but the feeling is still there, i wish you the strength to get through this. XXX

GracieGirl · 07/04/2010 10:43

Now Moon sorry to put the pressure on but it seems we're relying on you for some good news!! Now get gone and get some BDing done!!

GracieGirl · 07/04/2010 10:31

Louey Sorry to hear things aren't going well for you either. When I had my MMC, my baby had already been dead for 2 weeks when I had my scan, I waited a further week after that but still no bleeding so I ended up having an ERPC. Its horrible being in limbo-land isn't it.

Monkey I do hope the physical bit is over now. huge hugs. We're all here waiting for you to return for a bit of pampering. xxxxx

MLS sounds like a good plan.

Neeko good luck with your first solo trip to Tescos with the girls!

Happy birthday to PFJ's little boy!

MummyLovesSadie · 07/04/2010 09:51

Curly don't worry you didn't offend me! My thoughts are now going in a different direction. I think the hormone they were testing (or at least part of it) is hcg that starts to drop at 10-12 weeks. If this is the case then could the reason for this hormone to be slightly higher than they expected be because they have dated me at 13 weeks but going by my dates I was actually 12 weeks at the time of the tests - therefore they would have found a weeks worth of extra hormone than they were expecting? I'm trying to get hold of the lady with the results that I spoke to yesterday to see what she says. Also I've read that 3 out of 4 babies with downs has no nasal bone & mine definitely does have one.

Monkey I hope the wort part of this nightmare is over for you now. Sending massive hugs. x

CurlyBigPants · 07/04/2010 08:57

Woke up thinking of monkey and can't bear to think of what she may have been through but I'm just hoping it is over and we can wrap her up in that cotton wool and try and help her through the next stage. Lots of love to you monkey xxx

reading over my words to mls last night I winced as I sounded a bit like my mum who is lovely but always gives me advice along the lines of "it's up to you but this is what I think you should do...". I didn't mean to come across as judgemental hon. I think what I was trying to say was that if the results if an amnio would impact on whether you continue with the pregnancy then it may be a good idea. But if it wouldn't then I personally wouldn't risk mc just for the sake of knowing. It's really hard honey. After what you have been through already I wish you didn't have to have this stress also. I would def recommend a private scan. Are you in Sussex? There is a very good private hospital in Kent called the Alexander spire where a consultant does the scans so can advise you afterwards xxx

moon go make us some good news honey. I've a feeling this has got to be moon month

CurlyBigPants · 07/04/2010 00:11

monkey just want u to know I'm thinking of you xxx

mls I'm sorry to hear you have more to worry about. I think it's your decision but personally I felt that as I would have kept the baby even with downs that I would not risk mc just to know for sure. Do whatever feels right for you xxx

Lots of love to louey. I had the same but it all came out before I had to have the second erpc so hopefully it will be the same for you

BlueMoon1981 · 06/04/2010 20:34

poor monkey

and louey so sorry you are having to go through more crap, fwiw any decision is not right or wrong, you just have to go with what feels right and we are here any time you need us.

yes we definitely need some nice news, best i can do is say af finished yest so some serious bding on the cards me thinks

4everhopeful · 06/04/2010 20:28

Just heard from poor monkey she is havin 'bearable' contractions but still waiting... ....Louey so sorry to hear that, i needed a 2nd erpc for our 3rd baby, its awful cos it leaves u in limbo while u wait to see if it passes naturally, we waited 4wks & it delayed our investigations & made me feel unable to 'move on' a complete headf* heart goes out to u.. X

loueytbg · 06/04/2010 20:17

Monkey I hope you are getting through today, have been thinking of you

Gracie that's a lovely quote.

MLS I'm so sorry things are not straightforward. I agree with the others, I would push for another scan to check for soft markers before going for an amnio/cvs. I'm not sure where you live, but the Fetal Medicine Centre in London are supposed to be the best if you decide to go private. I think that's what we would have done if we were in a similar situation to you.

I've spent most of the day at the EPU having phoned this morning about the bleeding and they wanted me to come in. Dildocam showed a clot and they have gave me the option of waiting to see if the clot goes on its own or go for an ERPC. Apparently there is an 80% risk of it going by itself. My heart wanted to get it over with but my logical side has said its more sensible to wait and avoid another op. So another 2 weeks in limbo-land. Have a scan booked for 2 weeks and if it hasn't gone by then will have to have another ERPC. I really don't know if I've made the right decision

We need some good news on this thread I think. Someone must have something good happening

VJay · 06/04/2010 19:38

blue that is so sad, another angel in heaven tonight , bit it will not be alone .

gracie that's nice xx

Blue I cried too. I hope Moon is right and all our lost LO's are playing together up in heaven.

Monkey - "An angel looked in the book of life to find your baby's date of birth, then gently closed that book of life and whispered "too precious for this earth".
