DH let me sleep in yesterday so it was his turn today

So ladies, shall I meet a friend for coffee or make a pineapple upside down cake? No classes today as its bank holiday

BTW curly pleeeeeease email us photo's of curlygirl

Hi neekowonderwoman with all those papers to mark

barbie loving your stories

QA I think you may be right with your theory, makes a lot of sense to me

Be back in a bit. I've got that postnatal rescue DVD from Erin O'Brien, so off to do my 15 minutes. Anyone else heard of it?

barbie1 · 03/05/2010 13:25

no!!!!! 10 min nap at most

Neeko · 03/05/2010 13:21

hi. lurking as I feed. Really relieved to hear it's not just me who is struggling and I think you really have something in your theory QA BTW exam marking is SG English - 400 candidates - eek!

Hi to Barbie and Curly Are your girls sleeping?

CurlyBigPants · 03/05/2010 13:09

qa x-posted but i think you really have something there... brilliant advice

commandobarbie i was going to email but as i'm miraculously getting some laptop time will post here... back in a mo after some more furious one-handed typing

CurlyBigPants · 03/05/2010 13:02

monkey hope the weekend went well for you and that you are doing okay. We'll be waiting in the greenhouse with icecream and mini eggs when you get back xxx

jools are you still in NYC? Come back we miss you

dearest mermaid I am thinking of you constantly and desperately trying to keep the pompoms under control till wed I have such hope though As for staring at walls, I wouldn't give back a second of this experience. I get so tired but still wish I could keep these moments forever. I can't believe she is three months old already xxx

Barbie and Gracie I really think I'm a terrible mum some days and recently have got fixated on getting her down for naps. I always feel when she won't settle that every one is judging me and my parenting
methods. It is a relief to know we are all in the same boat. I have found that I need to take things one step at a time. The shush patting is great for settling without overstimulating her and as for a routine, the closest we get is eat play sleep. I was getting way too stressed about clock watching . They are much happier babies I think when the get lots of sleep and it makes it so much easier and fun so for now I'm focussing on not overstimulating her and getting her to sleep - even if it involves lots of lovely snuggling (curly beams because she is having a lovely snuggle right now ) barbie still laughing at your goober story. I will email you today xxx

vj thanks for your reassuring words sweetie. well done for taking such positive steps at the first signs of depression. I think in some ways we try and ignore any negative feelings because we know how blessed we are to have our babies and it feels like we should have nothing to complain about. I hope the cbt goes well for you xxx

cupcake we used to call it Paceys Creek cos he was so yum!! Stupid dawson had nothing on him total heartmelt at the thought of all your booties and that soon you will have babycakes in your arms xxx

Qa I feel I should warn you that if you decide to ttc next month, you will have the dream team of cheerleaders lurking in your bedroom cheering you on seriously though, I know it's a big decision honey so if it helps to chat through it, then we are here xxx

moon I'm so sorry to hear about the family stuff going on and it is totally understandable that you would find it difficult to be in the hospital and around gorgeous babies It all brings it back home. at cd35 (see, I can control these pompoms for a while longer. I am wishing with every bone in my body for a bfp for you As for the gorgeous curlygirl, I would love to post lots of pictures of her but I am kind of manic about privacy online and I just want to keep her off the Internet if I can for now. Could you set up a cheeky hotmail account and send to Gracie? It doesn't have to have your real name in it and we don't need a phone number, it would just mean that I could email out photos to everyone. I feel bad that you all have been so much a part of the journey but that I haven't shared a photo of her

4ever I am so excited that you have a date and that baby4ever will be with us soon. What is your birth plan? Are you considering an epidural? I've heard from a lot of sources that with an induction it is a really good idea as it can make things more painful. I have a few friends who were induced, and with an epidural were able to stay in control of the situation, listen to the midwives and above all, enjoy the experience Hope you don't think I am interfering, I just want everything to be lovely for you after all you have been through, though I'm sure whatever way you go, this will be the most wonderful day of your life xxx

louey i think you are so right about the down days being related to lack of sleep as they always follow a particularly sleepless night. I'm so praying that you and dh get to an agreement on ttc, maybe it will do no harm in the meantime not to have to focus on ovulation and enjoy some cheeky bd'ing

sabs you wonderful fit burd i am going to use you as my inspiration. How is gorgeous Saara?

blue you should write a book your posts are so beautifully scripted and so apt. They always make me smile and you've made me feel so much better about struggling sometimes xxx

lbm hope you are having a wonderful time orgaising things or just chilling

neeko it is impressive you even get time to lurk. I bet you are a wonderful mummy

big waves to iggy buddha mm baking, welcome back wave to mls and hugs to everyone I have missed but my laptop is running out of juice and I should really get up at some point happy bank holiday monday everyone xxx

oops... posting this an hour later as laptop went to sleep just as i finished

barbie1 · 03/05/2010 12:31

Q&A thats totally how i feel nearly wrote that the other day but was to i feel so bad for moaning and then feel quilty that everything isnt perfect like i had planned....

QuestionAnswered · 03/05/2010 11:50

vjay well done to DS1! Definitely worth an ice cream

louey sounds like a plan

moon sorry about the diffcult time you are having, sounds like there is alot going on for you at the moment. Like MLS, I am in awe of you resisting testing. A wise move though. I am terrible and can't resist ridiculously early testing.

MLS Hope you had a good time. How are you feeling? Bet your bump is coming along nicely

neeko just keep popping on when you can and don't stress about long posts, you have enough to be doing H must be keeping you very busy and exam marking on top of that definitely will. What subject is it?

Barbie sounds like you are doing a great job. It's still really early days for you and D. Am loving the image of you commando style crawling out of the room, all you need is mission impossible music to accompany you! Good idea to chat to your other friends, when you are alone at home you think no one else could possibly feel like this then you get together and realise you're all going through the same things. Just go easy on yourself and realise that if you get to the end of each day and they have had love, care and all their needs met then you are everything they will ever need. The rest will come in time.
I am not sure your leggings as cardigans would take off on the style and beauty threads

A thought struck me as i have been reading the posts from all the fab saggy panters. I have read that Mums who have had IVF treatment are at a slightly higher risk of suffering with PND and it has been linked to the feeling of working so hard to get the baby that everything has to be perfect when they do finally have the long awaited baby and they are less likely to acknowledge and accept any normal negative feelings. I wonder if there is a similar feeling with women who have had MC's. It has been such a long journey to get to where you are that you want everything to be perfect and worry about moaning in the usual way that all new mums do iyswim. Anyway, in amid all that rambling, what i suppose I am trying to say is, keep moaning and don't worry about it Also, please feel free to ignore all that

barbie1 · 03/05/2010 11:11

ha ha while ive been typing Devon has fallen asleep on my shoulder!!!! thankyou mn!

barbie1 · 03/05/2010 11:08

oh and more stories from a slummy mummy...

woke this morning thinking i had a huge spot on my boob, only to find it to be a huge dried boogie from dd from her last breast feed...charming girl my daughter

and lesson number 4 in my wise words would be (after the fake tan, maxi dress etc etc) check what you pull from your waredrobe. A pair of black leggings can be easily confused for a black cardi and you will look very very stoopid covering your shoulders in a muslim country with leggings

It could only happen to me

barbie1 · 03/05/2010 10:49

Hello...

Ive been trying to get dd asleep literally since i last posted...which was when? Friday?

Saturday she was just so over tired that i spent 3 hours trying to get her to sleep and when i finally did she was on her belly so in order not to wake her after all the hard work i left her on it . However due to being so scared of cot death etc i ended up sitting with her and watching her breathe while i read a whole book. Typical that this was the one time she decided to sleep for 2 and a half hours...so that was 5 and a half hours on our weekend spent with me on my own in the bedroom Thanks to gg for texting me and stopping me from losing my marbles!

tHanks q&a for giving me some tips....im doing everything i can to get her too sleep, walking, rocking, crying (me and her!) singing (that made her cry more...my voice isnt very x factor worthy!) I cant swaddle her as she hates it and its too hot anyway, cant walk her outside in the heat what to do hey......
I have managed to get her to sleep twice today but it was such an effort for what turned out to be only 20 mins naps...im hoping wiseblue is right and that it will settle soon once we hit the magic 3 month mark

I am however very good at james bond style moves, rolling off the bed and onto the floor, crawling to the door and then sprinting down the stairs all minus any sound and all before dd notices im gone!

mermaid loved your last post, it made me smile....glad you are still positive, the symptoms all sound like they should be I hope you are surviving the bank hols...not too long to wait now.

neeko i know what you mean about not having the time to post...hope the nappy wasnt too horrible for you!

mls glad you had a nice time with our lovely neeko do you think she turned of the heating the moment you left her house?

moon ah love...sorry to hear you are having a bad time...rant away on here, we wont give you away....cd?? I know what you mean about hospital...one day though you will change your mind when you are leaving with your little bundle of joy...I should of gone about my heart yesterday but i bottled it cancelled it as dh had work and madam has been so grumpy lately..ive rebooked for when my mum comes over

curly how are you, i would love to talk to you! Im struggling to find the baby whisperer book in dubai, can you pls give me some tips?????

gg i know how you feel, i do hope your dh gives you a break from it all every now and again what such long hours he is working! Have you tried Issy on a different type of bottle, might be just because she doesnt like that particular brand??? fab thing to do re breast milk, i sadly havent had the time or energy to express much at all, although thankfully dh does the 10pm fed by bottle but normally im asleep by then and wake up with dripping boobies!

4ever are you ok? you seem to have gove a little quiet on us???

cupcake glad you enjoyed the spa...still very envious says me who is looking at her hairy legs, chipped varnish and white body. More slummy mummy than yummy mummy today!

blue thats so much for your wise words...i must sound like im constantly moaning [blush Im honestly not, i love her to bits but its just so bloody hard, i really had no idea thicko emotion needed! thankfully i have some new first time mummy friends so im sure we can help each other through it. i'm mainly just in need of reassurance that i'm not a crap mummy, and that others also have issues!

sabs keep missing you on fb chat...sorry! im in awe of all your activties, you really are supermum!

pfj where are you, hope you are ok.

jools scary about the bomb, glad you are home safe and sound...so did the credit cards take a bit of a bashing

ok must go, but ill be back to finish soon....

Neeko · 03/05/2010 08:57

Hi all. Lurking a lot here, but struggling to post. Have so much I want to say but no time to say it Sending huge hugs to those that need them and following alll your stories with bated breath.
My exam marking starts next week and is causing me serious stress. Will be on here when I can.

H just filled her nappy. Gotta go...

MummyLovesSadie · 02/05/2010 22:38

Hello lovely ladies, I'm back from the wilds of Scotland.... well it was quite suburban actually! Tell me Scots folk - is it mandatory to turn your heating off by February up there or is it just my sil?? Actually I have to say that Neeko's house was lovely & warm!

Well I've tried to have a quick catch-up & Monkey once again my heart goes out to you. Of course you were there for your lost boy. 'Being there' doesn't have to mean physically. Spiritually, mentally & in your heart you have been with him every step of the way. How did your counseling session go (sorry if you've already said & I missed it)?

Moon I'm sorry you are going through so much bad stuff family wise. How can you get to day 35 & not have done a test???!

Mermaid I was updated on your symptoms by Neeko & it does sound very promising but I bet your head is all over the place right now. I can't believe they didn't offer to scan you after 1 week instead of 2.

Blue ds2 is soooooooooo sweet in the piccie. I'm glad the day went well. What's with all the Yank trashy tv hey??! Give me Casualty any day!

Jools glad you are back & didn't get caught up in that car-bomb. It must be weird seeing the hotel you were just staying in on the telly.

Neeko it was indeed fab meeting you too! Our dd's were so cute together, pics will be coming tomorrow. It was so funny when your dd said quietly about my dd "Why does she speak funny"!!

Eeeeeek 4ever you actually have a date da-da-daaaaaaaaaaaaaa how exciting!

Louey I think your plan is a good one, we woman are a lot LOT more sneaky than men would ever suspect ! I've heard lots of examples of people getting pregnant 2 weeks after an erpc or a mc without ever having had their af first.

Gracie & Barbie I'm sorry you are being tortured by lack of sleep, it's such a killer. When you are pregnant with your first & people make jokes about lack of sleep, you think 'yeah yeah whatever' but when that lack of sleep is happening, you realise why people make such a big deal of it. Slowly slowly it WILL get easier.

Iggy marzipan = bleurgh!

Cupcake, love your boys names. I have to admit I'll be really shocked if you have a girl.

Vjay I'm glad things are looking up for you. You sound so chirpy so obviously deciding to have therapy is a step in the right direction. Also congrats to ds1 for going out on his bike .

Sabs I'm not going near that fb logo - why the hell would anyone want to publish the private (& sometimes downright embarrassing) things we write about to the whole of the fb universe????!

Waves to PFJ (where are you?), QA, Curly, BQ & anyone else I may have missed. I really must go to bed now.

Hey, we need a new thread soon.

Night night.

BlueMoon1981 · 02/05/2010 20:26

i am still here just been catching up.

df has a relative who has been given a week to live (cant say too much as i have family on here and dont want to be found out) so have been at the hospital this weekend, we are very tired and selfishly have been feeling crap cuz last time i went to a hospital it was for mc no. 2 so i felt sick walking up to the entrance even though it wasnt the same hospital. then when we were there, some distant relatives of dfs were there, who had the 2 most adorable girls, one of which was still a baby and i couldnt take my eyes off her, then she took a liking to me and wanted to touch my hands all the time, i just wanted to sit there and cry. been a horrible weekend. also have some problems going on with another of dfs family, its an ongoing thing but has come to a head again (sorry cant say any more), and tonight when we got in, we found out another family member is now in hospital, my head is in bits so goodness knows what my poor df is feeling.

i think im cd 35 now

sorry for rant and not saying hello to everyone, just popping in while i know i can, hope you are all ok xxx

VJay · 02/05/2010 15:46

louey, my ds1 was around 3 when he started potty training, I had been trying on and off before then, but in the end left it up to him to decide when he was ready, and he managed it quite quick, but only daytime. He came out of nappies during the night when he was 5 and that was because he was starting school, and I didn't want him telling people he was still in nappies, he's very open and honest. So I stopped late drinks and lifted him when I went to bed. Nowadays he still has an early bedtime drink, but I don't lift him as much and we still get wet nights, but it's not too bad.

OP posts:
loueytbg · 02/05/2010 15:33

Doh - sorry vjay am blaming my cold for the fact I'm a thicko. Well done to DS1 - sounds like he's got over the hardest bit which is trying in the first place.

VJay · 02/05/2010 15:14

louey I think you mean blue as my ds1 is hogging the tv with his wii!!!

blue what were those selfhelp books you had, if you remember? I am the same in finding something good in my life everyday, and I am very appreciative of what I've got, and I talk to my nan and sister a lot too which does help, just wish I could see them more often then once or twice a year.
Your telly night sounded fab, I love the Thornbirds, I've read the book at least twice, it's great.

QA yes Ajay is picking up speed, and it is so cute to have him following me

Well we've not long got back from the park, ds1 did so well on his bike, he tried so hard and managed to peddle without me a few yards before wobbling and falling off. He was very brave and kept on picking himself up, saying 'I'm OK, I'm OK', mummys little hero So we went to the shop and got him an ice cream afterwards. Ajay just sat in his buggy and watched the whole time. I did pop him in a swing for the first time, and he loved it, the little daredevil

OP posts:
loueytbg · 02/05/2010 14:22

QA I'm glad you are having a lovely weekend. Its so nice when your LOs are being on their best behaviour, you forget that they can be little monsters at times. You may be right about DH, although last night he did say that he should probably start wearing his "magic hats" (as he calls them) soon. I'm not encouraging him to though and have not mentioned TTC again. Hopefully will take the pressure off him so that when I get an +OPK, I can surreptitiously (?sp) jump him

vjay hope you are enjoying having just Ajay to yourself for a while. Your TV nostaglia evening sounded fab.

QuestionAnswered · 02/05/2010 13:56

4ever ooh it must feel so exciting to have a date booked in Great that you seem clear of the GD too and Yah! to no hospital appointments

monkey hope your appointment went well and any questions you had were answered. Sorry that you had to cope with seeing pregnant women there too, 4evers description was moving. So hope that you have manged to enjoy your break and looking forward to hearing about it

louey I wonder if your DH just doesn't want the pressure of TTC and is worried about thinking about it all iyswim? Perhaps he wants to just let nature take it's course without the over analytical stance that I woman tend to take about TTC. From what I have read you are actually most fertile after a MC Good luck with the Potty training, I think you are right to give it a little more time before deciding what to do, if after a week there are still more misses than hits, I would wait until the summer when your Ds can go without pants and trousers more to make it easier.

neeko cake went V.quickly! Well done to you going to the BF support group, do you support other mums there? I am impressed, especially as you were so tired.

blue hope you had a good night out and didn't spend too much. I was find I spend more than I planned to at these kind of things. I always feel obliged to get something. It used to be Ann Summers parties when I was younger, now it's all Jamie Oliver parties and Virgin Vie

iggy hypnobirthing sounds great. Have you picked up some good tips?

cupcake Very at your hotel break. Sounds like a great way to relax pre-baby. Plus added bonus of a massive birthing pool if baby had come early

barbie the only advice I can give is to get regular naps in the day sorted and that helps with the nights. I think the sleep cues can be hard to spot as they just don't seem tired until they are overtired, like you said. Basically look for D having a nap every 2-3 hours. Do whatever you need to initially to get her to sleep then rather that worrying about self settling and all that. In the night (you probably do all this) but keep everything low light, quite voices, don't leave the room where she sleeps until morning and don't change nappies unless you need to! Mind you, she is beautiful so at least that helps when you are desperately trying to get her to sleep

vjay it goes so quickly doesn't it. Is Ajay picking up speed with the crawling now too? Once they have got it, they get so fast so quickly. You should be really proud of yourself for nipping things in the bud and recognising how you were feeling.

moon sorry about the bad news, but I do hope you stay around more, I am going to need some company in the small pants crew! I can't have this lot over running the place with baby talk

curly and Gracie Sorry you are both suffering with the lack of sleep too, can only agree with satin, that things do get easier and sometimes it only takes 1 day to turn a corner.

mermaid you are doing so well to keep it together, the waiting is almost over and those symptoms do sound promising.

sabs I'll take a hug, as you're offering!

'There is a reason it is used as a form of torture Barbie, Curly, Vjay, Gracie, neeko really hope the sleep situation improves soon' well said and so true louey

Hope I haven't missed anyone, scrolling backwards and forwards to read everyone's post has made me goggle eyed

We have had a lazy day at home today (still in my dressing gown ) after a good night out on Friday and friends over yesterday with their DS. I love bank holiday weekends. DS is being extra adorable and has enjoyed just chilling out this morning, but I need to get dressed now and actually get some fresh air!

bluesatinsash · 02/05/2010 12:39

Afternoon girls and happy bank holiday .

To everyone who is sleep deprived and struggling - big group hug. In my experience the 4 weeks to 3 months time is the hardest. You hit a wall tiredness wise after weeks of running on empty. I think the first few weeks we are just caught up in the euphoria of them being here and endlessly counting their toes and smelling them. But no-one can get by on so little sleep and still function. That's when the down days happen and we feel low, the relentlessness of it all can just be never ending. Worrying about their feeds, trying to establish routines, worrying about that, worrying about the house (my bathrooms are lucky to get washed once a fortnight still)

It does get easier when they become more predictable. The relentlessness of partenting never goes away but the older they get the more and more they give back. From that first smile, first grab of a toy, first belly laugh, sitting up fast forward to my DS1 who is nearly 4 and the fun we have singing together, dancing to music, reading and playing its just makes it all worthwhile.

Coping tips I would say absolutely stuff the housework and try to sleep when you can. Talk, talk and talk how you feel with your DH/friend's HV. Join every local baby group going (Sabs is a star at this ). Barbie it must be so hard for you with no family nearby - is there a mumsnet local in Dubai for meeting up with other Mums?

DH and me referred to the first 4 months as being "in the trenches".

mermaid - you are so strong and stoic getting through this past 2 weeks. Your symptoms are so positive, I can't keep my fingers crossed tight enought for you for Wed. Courgettes are waiting no my window sill in kitchen, going to garden centre today to get few more things then they are getting planted along with strawberries and potatoes tomorrow. Tomatoes unfort. haven't come through,,

louey - hope you enjoyed your red wine and have lived to fight another day of potty training

Vjay - glad you are talking things through and nipping things in the bud. I was very low 11 years ago after splitting up with bf and moving into my first flat. I found coping mechanisms then that I still use after reading some really good self help books. I find as long as I can see something good in my day every day and talk thinks out with DH or my Mum or friends it helps keep the demons at bay. Yay! to your DS1 wanting to ride his bike. Deffy bring it along when we meet up in June

cupcake - tricky, very tricky. Can I marry Aiden but flirt on the side with Pacey .

Moon - so shit you have had bad news, any sign of AF or are you still ?

All quiet here. DS1 is at Grannies, stayed there last night as DH had Sportsman's dinner and I can't do bedtime routine on my own as DS1 has meltdown if left on his own whilst I'm feeding DS2.. Soo glad DH is off tomorrow as B was up 3 times last night and woke to start his day at 6.20am - aaargh! He's sleeping now though - bliss.

I channel surfed last night and found myself watching North and South - remember that with Patrick Swayze about the American civil war? It was episode 2 series one (originally shown @1986) and I was hooked. Also watched S&tCity when Carrie first meets Aiden and The Thorn Birds for a bit too - mega retro night

Hey to everyone else, hope the sun is shining where you are, its trying to here x

GracieGirl · 02/05/2010 04:33

Mermaid they are wonderfully good symptoms. You've done so well to wait almost 2 weeks so far, not long till your scan now.

Moon I'm sorry to hear you have had bad news. Do come back and talk to us when you can. ?

Louey I hope your wine made you feel better.

No sleep for me again.... Thanks Curly for your lovely supportive email, going to need to start using your shh-pat stuff. Isabelle in my bed taking up all the room, but at least she is asleep. All that crying has made my let-down reflex work overtime and so now I'm expressing.

Half sleep, I'm off - waves to everyone else!

loueytbg · 01/05/2010 20:18

Evening girls

I'm sorry so many of you are suffering severe sleep deprivation at the moment. There is a reason it is used as a form of torture Barbie, Curly, Vjay, Gracie, neeko really hope the sleep situation improves soon.

mermaid very good symptoms only a few days to wait, you can get there. We are all holding your hands until then and beyond.

vjay yay to DS1 for deciding to go for it. Hope it goes well tomorrow. Entertaining thinking of you running after him whilst pushing a buggy

cupcake so glad you had a fab time at the spa. Am very

moon I'm sorry you've had bad news. We're here if you want to talk. CD34?

sabs DS1 didn't get a single tooth until he was 12 months old. DS2 got his at around 8 months. Kids are very different. DS1 has been a much better teether than DS2, hope that is the case for Saara when she does eventually get her teeth coming through.

iggy am totally ignorant about hypnobirthing - was not something I'd ever heard of until recently. Glad your class was good.

LBM hope you are enjoying your first weekend as a lady of leisure

neeko can't believe H is a month old already. Sod the chocolate-free diet, it can wait. You need treats in the early days...

Hello to qa, mls, pfj, 4ever, monkey, blue and anyone else I've forgotten

I HATE potty training and to top it all I've now got a cold. Bleurgh. Hideous poo accidents today. Really don't know if we're doing the right thing because DS1 has developmental delay and I don't know if we're pushing it too early (although he is 3). Going to carry on tomorrow and then review. Off to drink red wine (purely for medicinal reasons you understand)

cupcakefairy · 01/05/2010 18:58

Hi girls very chilled cupcake here after a lovely little break. I of course wasn't allowed to do most of the stuff so floated around in the pool while dh made use of the steam rooms and jacuzzis! Very nice though

Vjay amazing news about ds1 that's so fab and good for you seeking help that too is massively positive.

mermaid eeeee. I got excited reading your post too. Been thinking about you loads and just hoping with all my might x

gracie and barbie gorgeous pics

moon so sorry about bad news but as curly says do stick around and cry/rant/moan at us if you need to. Big hugs to you lady.

sabs grr I hate that those icons have appeared; why does everything have to end up on fb or twitter

Right, think I will get dh to make a cuppa and settle down to watch Over the Rainbow

VJay · 01/05/2010 14:31

mermaid it is all sounding very hopeful , I got goosebumps reading all your symptoms, it's all very positive .
I have looked at my score and as long I don't drop anymore marks I will be fine . As for the depression I spoke to the HV yesterday, had a really good chat, she is lovely, and I've come to the conclusion that I'm not depressed but could be if I don't nip it in the bud now, so I'm off to the docs on Tuesday to see if they can refer me to cognitive behavoural therapy. I need to talk it out. I know where my previous depression stems from, and it's all linked (childhood). At the moment it is coming out as me being hypersensitive to people, the wrong thing said or a funny look and I'm going mad analysing everything. I'm tired which doesn't help. But on the plus side, I am so happy with my homelife, my dh and boys, that's why I know I'm not depressed, but could spiral if I don't sort my issues out. Wow, I tried to write this yesterday but couldn't, there's a positive step

barbie D is sooooooo cute. How are you today?

And gracie and curly how you two today too? gracie my dh works long hours too, though not quite as long as yours, but it is hard sometimes.

blue after talking about ds1's and there bikes my ds1 announced yesterday that he wants to learn to ride his bike! i'm so pleased we've tried for 18 months to get him on it but he's been too scared. He saw a little girl riding with no stablelizers and he thought it was cool, so now wants to do it for himself. So that's my job for tomorrow, so picture me running around a field with a buggy and a wobbly ds1 on his bike

morning sleepy mums, restless to be mums, intrepid travellers and and braveladies.

I am sitting here trying not to be sick please, please let this be a big sparkly good symptom. I would even go and get vjazzled if it meant it was a good sign.
I only have till Wednesday to wait so it's not been so bad really has it? All I have to do is get through a nice long bank holiday and casually stroll into the epu a day later. I am totally cream crackered and when I walked into work yesterday a car had it's window open and the smell of a magic tree was the vilest thing I have ever smelt first thing in the morning. Horrible carciogenic dangly thing.

so I am tired, eating weird things I hate, acute sense of smell and see above very hormonal with irrational hatred of dangly things in cars = mermaidthehopeful 4ever I am so made up that you have your edd Especially pleased that you will be all safely cuddled up with your little pink bundle before my holiday which I feel we all need after getting you through these nine months of rollercoastering. I can sit on a beach thinking that my job is done I can't believe that you are nearly there, it's just fantastic.

cupcake you too calm knitting lady. I have a mental picture of you knitting in a jacuzzi this weekend now But I think the last few weeks practically crawl and everyone else is on tenderhooks. What music have you got lined up? Nice to think of you having some couple time.

lbm Congratulations on finishing work Hope you had a good send off. I would say put your feet up but have a feeling you are going to be dashingwaddling around sorting all that baby stuff.

vjay 67% in my day was always a good strong 2.1 mark so I think that's a very respectable high 5. Another high 5 to ajay the whizz. Did ds1 go back to his lesson this week? Incidentally I have read a bit about merina coils contributing to feelings of depression, don't mean to add scary ideas into the mix though as I am sure stopping bf must make you seesaw with hormones.

curly your description of staring at the wall took me right back to being where you are, dear of you. It feels like it will never end. You are doing so well and the end result will be a very contented and happy curlygirl, a masterpiece can never be hurried

barbie that goes for you too, do not beat yourself up you are a fantastic mum, just a very tired one.

blue Hope you had a good night out. Your ds christening robe is just lovely btw. how are your veggies bearing up? I am sadly very behind, not even got my tomatoes yet

gracie your dd has definatley been here before what a gorgeous little girl she looks so alert. Hope she is not being quite so alert at night though, it must be hard with your dh long shifts.
