cupcake I am stupid honey. fibroids still there golfer won't see me. Luckily epu and I are good friends unfortunatley and I can order some more cyclogest tomorrow I guess the gp will do the same as last time.

I am very swollen up, really very noticable and this is usually a bad sign for me. I have been like this for days though. the bfp was a really really dark line and that was with afternoon sample. - see I am trying to be positive.

Had to spend an hour going back through the past thread to find when my last af happened cos didn't have a clue. we have been talking about the snip well I had dh just ran obviously

iggy I am sorry that I missed that lovely. It is so life affirming to think of you with a mahosive bump

cupcakefairy · 12/04/2010 15:26

Ooh and hello jools! We have missed you. Yay for holidays!!

Neeko I read the birth story, sounded great if that is the word! (Apart from the transition bit but I've heard for some women that can mean a total break in contractions for a while so I'll hold out for that ) Love what you said about H floating up towards you! Lush!

cupcakefairy · 12/04/2010 15:24

Haha, MLS I love the garbled message; it's like code or pig latin or something quite an appropriate response to mermaid's aaaaaaaaaaaagh aswell.

mermaid massive handhold for you! You are not stupid and of course you will be scared but we're all in the greenhouse with you

waves to iggy

Hi louey sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now sorry about dh but as mermaid says, it is early days.. you will both start to come to terms with things more. It's really good that you're talking!

iggypiggy · 12/04/2010 15:22

louey poor you - it doers sound like you need to talk some more with your [DH] especially about how all of this affects you... I really don't think men quite get the physically/ emotional and bioogical pull we are under... rationality doesn't come into it... hormones rule.

pfj how are you at the mo? Have your stitches got any better or are they being taken out? Hope you had lots of chocolate over easter...

QA really hope your bleeding stopped and that you feeling a little better? I did find that anytiem i was bleeding was worse than when it stopped - emotionally I mean. x

jools come back I so have missed you.

mermaidspurse · 12/04/2010 14:45

louey my ds had a tongue tie done when he was just 4. It was fine, just a small opperation which he recovered really quickly from.

Re your dh - a hard one he must really mean it if he is threatening to use a condom. Makes my dh look very apathetic whenever he has said we are too old'
I think it is relatively early days for you both. scuse me

aggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh stupid stupid mermaid

sorry where was I? oh yes, give it a little bit of time, not easy when the clock is ticking I know, I am 42 wtfwasIthinking? and have had 5mc bangs head repeatedly on the table.

The only option that I can see is to get him very very drunk and go to the posh underware shop.

Joolsiam · 12/04/2010 14:41

Oooh Mermaid !!!!!!!

Deep, calming breaths, eat more chocolate, pass me the rose and PHONE THAT GOLFER

Am slowly getting head straight (have been trying to come to terms with stopping TTC and remaining childless)

Hello to everyone, esp our new joiners. I'm fine, just need a bit of space and am super amazingly busy at work, which helps actually. On hols in 11 days and counting ...

mermaidspurse · 12/04/2010 14:34

agggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

mI am so bloody bloody scared.

loueytbg · 12/04/2010 13:54

Hello I'm eating lunch and trying to do personals whilst pretending to be at work. Who said I couldn't multitask

Cupcake glad you got the essential mini eggs in the hospital bag. I'm sorry you are feeling rotten but come Friday you can enjoy daytime naps and resting on the sofa with mini eggs and rubbish tv.

4ever I'm not surprised you are weebling. Poor you, hopefully it will just be a false alarm and the bloods will come back fine. Some people are huge because of lots of fluid, it doesn't necessarily mean GD. Well done for kicking up a stink at work and getting them to give you some kind of compensation. It must be a weird feeling to leave when you've been in a job that long but its a whole new exciting chapter of your life You can join cupcake in daytime naps which will help you feel a little better I hope.

Neeko posting 2 days in a row you're putting us me to shame. I'm glad the infacol is helping H. Its really rotten when they are so unsettled and you don't know why.

Curly glad the evening walks are helping. Colic can be so awful for everyone involved. I have a friend whos DS2 had awful colic and cried all day and all night for about a year. They tried everything. The one thing that really helped him was a swing seat. If you are getting desperate, it might be worth a shot?

QA I'm sorry you had yet another encounter with dildocam, and yes the Drs can be so insensitive at times. Yay for negative HPT though. Hopefully that is the end of the bleeding and your cycles will get back to normal quickly.

Mermaid the golfer sounds useless. I hope you get the help you need soon. I don't know much about fibroids but I know they are not nice. Thank you for your advice re TTC - although I should have read it before I spoke to DH at the weekend. I'm failing miserably with trying to be nonchalant at the moment.

Moon practice makes perfect enjoy!

MLS good luck for tomorrow - we're all here holding your hands tightly x

littlebells hope you get some more space to breathe soon. Maybe babybell is on a growth spurt and your tummy needs time to expand, I remember having periods where everything was really tight and then it would ease a bit as my tummy caught up. I'm very jealous of your mum coming to garden for a week

barbie hope you are nice and toasty now you are back home

Gracie yuck! You do wonder how such a small person can produce such large amounts of poo. Just wait until potty training (and I've only done 1 so far). Your in-laws sound wonderful

Vjay its tough when they start to move and you aren't expecting it. You get so used to putting them down and coming back to find they haven't moved that its a shock when they are actually in a different room.

Hugs to Monkey and anyone else that needs them at the moment.

At my end, well the bleeding has almost stopped so I'm a bit more optimistic about not needing another ERPC although I'm not sure I've bled enough to account for the clot. Will find out next Monday. Otherwise, I'm not doing too well at the moment .

Have spent much of the weekend talking to DH, most of which has involved me being in tears. He doesn't want to TTC again and he doesn't know if he ever will. He knows I do and it has been the only thing keeping me going. So we're at an impasse. He has listed a whole number of reasons (only one of which is my health/possible mc again). Most of these haven't changed since we started TTC in November, but he says he went into it with his eyes shut and now they are open. All his reasons are perfectly sensible and logical so I can't get mad at him and he is feeling wretched about making me so upset but its how he feels. I don't know what to do. I am not going back on the pill so in theory I could still get pg again but he says he is going to use condoms and in any case, I don't want to trick him. Time is not on our side - I'm 37 in a couple of weeks and although I got PG quickly this time, it took 2 years and clomid to get PG with DTs.

To top it all, I discovered on Friday that DS1 (who has global developmental delay) appears to have an undiagnosed tongue tie which may account for some of his speech problems. So I'm trying to deal with sorting that out too which will probably involve an operation. We are also going through the statementing process to try and get him some help when he starts school and have a (useless) educational psychologist coming on Thursday to assess him. You probably think I'm mad for even thinking about TTC again

Got to go, don't want to start crying at work and I've got a meeting in 10 mins

cupcakefairy · 12/04/2010 11:39

Good morning lovelies
Only 4 more sleeps til the lovely men from Virgin come to connect me to the outside world at home so still catching up at the office

Neeko congrats on getting online! Glad H's wind seems to be easing and I love what you said about her being so cute you don't care

MLS thinking of you lots, hope you're not weebling too much.

monkey just huge huge hugs to you honey. Your post made me so but like others have said, you are sounding very strong. So sorry it was a horrible experience but so glad you got to spend time with your little one. Was your dh ok to know the sex in the end then? Got some mini eggs here just for you.

4ever sweet girl- sure these worries will come to nothing. There are loads of girls on the May AN thread with GD so I can ask their advice if anything untoward comes up but I'm sure you'll be just fine lovely. As for all the aches and pains can only sympathise you poor thing! I get that numbness as if I've been bruised inside too it isn't pleasant is it. I also get 'kicked' from both sides at the same time but don't think that means transverse as my little Titch is head down now- I assume it's feet and hands at same time just stretching out.

Hi Curly good to hear the colic is a little better; long walks in the evening sounds lovely. You've just reminded me I really need to watch my Close sling dvd so we can learn how to take baby out in it! We spent yesterday exploring around our new area and there are some lovely walks and nature reserves so quite excited about taking lo around those.

mermaid loved the nuts and bolts story

pfj my brother didn't talk til he was 3. He is now 23 and an absolute genius (in fact he has just filmed University Challenge ) so it's not always necessarily a worry.

sabs hope you had a lovely birthday!

moon woooop for getting lots of practise in

iggy thinking of you today on sad anniversary hope you get lots of lovely kicks today.

Sorry I haven't mentioned everyone...

Well I have now added to the hospital bag - 2 nighties, some breast pads and a packet of mini eggs. The essentials!
Feeling grim today; been v tired and nauseous in the mornings the last couple of weeks - think it's the yukky iron tablets but I am very ready to finish work on Thurs.

Neeko · 12/04/2010 10:45

I have posted my birth story on the April ante-natal thread if anyone wants to read. Sorry I can't do links

Hi 4ever

4everhopeful · 12/04/2010 10:29

Ah x post, thanks lovely neeko, its nice to see u back on here! Sorry to everyone else for lack of personals & my ramblings! Will just say tho, always thinkin of monkey, hand holds to mls for tomorrow, qa really hope things improve soon, same for you louey, then u can at least move on a little... Moon babydust comin at ya, wedding planning to resume asap! Mermaid me & curly are in the barbiemobile, u kno what to do.. ..Barbie hope u thawed out now, miss ya! Vjay glad back improving.. High fives to preg buddies cupcake & lbm (steaming ahead again where did 3wks come from?! Or was that mat leave?!) normal posting service will resume when im unemployed a lady of leisure! X x x x x

4everhopeful · 12/04/2010 10:12

Thank you curly & qa... Im holding out for bloods & that it was a random sample.. We have ante natal class today so might pop into day assessment afterwards to see if they are in, maybe do another wee test & put a few concerns to them..? Im just worryin about everything at the mo.. I agree about work qa, the sleep issue is crazy, & my tummy really hurts from what i guess is just her strong kicks, sometimes both sides at same time, (hopin after wks of head down shes not gone transverse?) i keep tellin myself its normal but still a worry, im really huge (hence extra concern re diabetes) & just cant get comfy, but i do finish work on fri! Its mixed emotions tho as am also takin redundancy after 14yrs & i did love my job so much! BTW they upheld my appraisal score but as a gesture said they would reimburse the extra 3days hol i used to my pay & i could take this wk off paid if i want, so am just gonna pop in tomorrow, for my lunch on thurs (kno ill cry lots! ) & on fri to do final goodbyes! Its gonna be v emotional! Despite score which is a forced distribution they have been bloody brilliantly supportive to me & know my worth.. Its gonna be really wierd cos will be so sad on fri but also relieved, yet scared that im relying on this baby bein ok cos then everything will be perfect but almost too scared that its almost too good to be true iyswim?!

Neeko · 12/04/2010 10:04

Morning all

Typing one-handed here so apologies for any errors. Curly my caring about spelling was a lifetime ago

4ever sorry to hear you're having even more stress. It's really not fair after all you've been through. Hopefully it'll turn out to be nothing. As for all the other aches and pains, all completely normal and just makes the relief of finally getting them out even better. Big hug.

Vjay and Mermaid loving the escapee baby stories.

Moon Yay for practice! |I'm crossing everything for you.

QA sorry you're still having suh trouble. Hope it's all over soon and you can think about moving forwards.

Curly the infacol has almost eliminated H's cluster feeding. So much so that she slept all evening last night which meant she was up bright and breezy at 4.30 am and only went back to sleep when DD1 got up. To be fair to her she is still struggling with a cold and is so cute that I can't be annoyed.

Hope everyone else is well and big hugs to Monkey and MlS

QuestionsAnswered · 12/04/2010 07:59

Ah curly thought syllable bleeding was a technical term!

QuestionsAnswered · 12/04/2010 07:57

4ever hugs for you. Your sample is not as accurate as bloods so they will tell you more. There is a very high chance that it will be nothing. Even if it is gestational diabetes, (which they will ask you to do a glucose tolerance test before diagnosing, where you fast overnight, have bloods taken then drink lukozade and have bloods again) it is fairly easy to control through diet, but as I say, it is most likely to be nothing, lots of factors can affect a urine sample. And one off samples are not a good indicator, that's what my midwife used to say to me.

The arm and leg digging out the side really is normal and I remember it well with DS. I sometimes wondered if he was trying to get out. I had no sleep either for the last 8-10 weeks, on the plus side it meant that when Ds came I actually had more sleep than I had when I was pregnant! Whilst everyone else was moaning about the lack of sleep, Iwas like a new woman! When are you going on maternity leave? Iirc, you have only got a short while left? I found that when I stopped work, I didn't feel the pressure of not sleeping iyswim and that really helped, otherwise you lay there counting down how little sleep you have left until you have to get up for work. You can sleep when you like once you finish work.

Just take care, keep rubbing that bump and telling yourself you're nearly there.

curly glad curlygirl is doing better with the colic and clever girl for sleeping so well after midnight, bet you are ready for it by then

CurlyBigPants · 12/04/2010 07:14

qa I meant to say "still bleeding" not "syllable bleeding"... Stooppid iPhone

CurlyBigPants · 12/04/2010 07:06

monkey my lovely I am thinking of you and your family all the time. It was so brave of you to post on what you have been through. I hope it helped to get it all out but imagine it is very hard to talk about anything without choking up. I cannot compare my experiences to yours but I remember that awful first few days when I just sat on the couch looking out at RL on the street and cried til my heart broke in two I am wrapping you in the biggest hug right now and praying that the next while passes quickly for you because it will get better i promise xxx

mermaid I like the idea of me and 4ever forming the A-team to take on your stupid golfer. We will also need barbie and may need to give the barbiemobile a paintjob too. Any more volunteers?? vj you up for it? I jus' love it when a plan comes to action

blue good spelling is overrated tho don't tell Neeko I said that I am smiling picturing you and your sweet ds doing the gardening

how are you doing pfj I'll be thinking of you tomorro getting your stitches poked you poor thing. How did ur clubbing go?

louey my bleeding got really light the day I went to have the scan so I think had just finished. How is yours now hon?

Gracie you clever girl I must put my inlaws to work too. All they want to do is snuggle the baby and that's my job! Lol at the poo. Curlygirl has taken to storing hers up for a massive show n tell extravaganza every couple of days too

lbm get that bag packed missus!!! Three weeks to go I am so excited for you. Not sure if I should be encouraging very pregnant ladies to join our Ateam and take on mermaids golfer but come aboard anyway

Lots of love to gorgeous baby Neeko she sounds so gorgeous. I need to try infacol. I had heard it didn't work so good to hear that it might

yeah you go moon we weren't watching... Honest!!! Practice is great, sorts out his tired swimmers too in time for the real thing

QA sad for you syllable bleeding and stupid doctors comment about product. I'm glad that things are getting back to normal physically thoough xxx

lovely 4ever of course you are weebling, it's only natural. Come into the greenhouse and have a hug. Try not to worry about diabetes. They said same to me and I didn't have it despite being frantic for four days waiting for test result to come back. It is normal to feel so uncomfortable too. Everything will be fine honey xxx

thanks averyone for asking about curlygirls colic. She seems to be doing better if we get out for a big walk in the evening and give her lots if cuddles. Poor little thing. She is sleeping great after midnight tho

lots of love to all and anyone I haven't mentioned xxx

4everhopeful · 11/04/2010 23:59

Sorry in advance for me post, am weebling a bit.. At ante natal on thurs I had a yuk internal & reassured not leakin fluid, cervix closed & head not engaged, but thrush back & wee showed protein, poss infection & glucose so sent to lab, & bloods done again in case of gestational diabetes, tryin to not stress but been worryin me all weekend, specially with 2 vessel cord issue & fact im so huge, also been quite dizzy & exhausted, wont get results til midweek.. Does anyone have experience of this? Only 7&1/2wks to go, just want her here safely.. Also so huge & uncomfortable & only sleep on side or lungs & ribs crushed & last 2 nights feelin like an arm or leg is digging out of side & feels like its bruising inside, is that normal too? That along with restless legs, heartburn & spd means im not sleepin more than an hour at a time & takin ages to get off to sleep.. I could cry & its all adding to my anxiety tenfold... I dont know whats normal? Freaked out mainly i might have diabetes & what that means..

QuestionsAnswered · 11/04/2010 20:49

PS
mermaid that story of your DS reminds me of that baby from dominoes pizza advert where the baby crawls downstairs to complain to his parents and their friends to keep the noise down. Being sad, as I am, I love that advert

QuestionsAnswered · 11/04/2010 20:46

monkey you are doing so well after such a traumatic time. I am pleased that the hospital staff made it more bearable and that you have had 4ever to help you through this, having someone who knows how it feels must be of some comfort and we are all thinking of you. You need to make sure that you take time to heal physically as well as emotionally and try not to rush things.

MLS Your weekend must have been consumed with thought about what this week will bring for you, I hope you get some clearer answers on Tuesday. I am glad your DH is staying calm, though I bet that is frustrating at times too.

curly I think if we are going to be cheerleaders for bluemoon, we need to think about outfits and a team cheer

bluesatin I kep thinking about a veg patch to do with my Ds too, but never seem to get around to it, what i need is someone like you to get me started!

4ever Just wanted to say it has been lovely to read the support you have given to monkey. What an awful time you have had, but look how close you are now.

bluemoon I am starting to think about whether to ttc, but judging by the reaction you have from this lot, perhaps if I decide to, I should keep it quiet, otherwise they may just move on the cheerleading to me, once you have hit the jackpot

gracie Perhaps your IL's could be persuaded to start my vegi plot?! Glad Isabelle's eye is better, conjunctivitis looks so sore.

Vjay good job your back is feeling better, especially as it looks like Ajay will be keeping you on your toes with the crawling.

lbm Good that your mIdwife told you about her experience of MC. I expect it makes her much more empathetic to the woman she treats that have had a MC themselves. I too get when DH has a day off with DS, especially if I am at work and it is sunny.

sabs Belated Happy Birthday for Thursday, hope you got some gorgeous presents, thanks for the cake!

neeko sorry that H is suffering a bit with wind, but gla dthe infacol is working. Have you tried baby massage? there are a few ways of massaging that help relieve wind iirc?

louey hope work is going ok for you and you feel ready for it, the clot hanging over you won't be helping though. I hope it passes naturally and you don't have to have a 2nd erpc. It is so hard feeling that it is not quite over isn't it?

pfj same for you too, the stitches not behaving themselves must be really frustrating. Glad you had a wild good night out, does you good to let your hair down once in a while. Jack sounds like he is doing well, but would echo what others have said, maybe go to HV or GP for a referral, it takes so long that by the time you get an appointment, you won't need it, but if you do need it, it can only help. A friends Ds was very late saying even his first word (near to 2) but by 3 and a bit was speaking really well and had overtaken a lot of his friends and now at 4 is so well spoken.

mermaid it does sound like they are being PITA's about the fibroids. I don't know your situation, but from the bit I have picked up here it seems like they could be doing a lot more for you.

barbie hope you are enjoying your visit back and are not too busy.

cupcake think your hospital bag needs a lot little more work

Hello to jools, baking queen, Mrs Kate, iggy, annie and anyone else I haven't mentioned

Have had a couple of days away this week staying with friends. Had to go back to hospital for another dildocam scan as started bleeding again and as still positive on pregnancy test last week obviously wasn't period They wanted to check for infection, luckily all clear and it has stopped now so as the doctor said 'it's just left over product' They put it so nicely don't they?

On the plus side, did have a negative test and the scan showed I had either just ovulated or was about to, so that hopefully means in a couple of weeks I will be back to normal, cycle wise.

Hope this week brings some time for healing, some positive news, some extra cuddles with cute new babies (and some good ovulating )

mermaidspurse · 11/04/2010 17:44

That reminds me of leaving ds in his playpen whilst I and a customer nipped up to my office to get some bolts, yes this is sounding more like a benny hill sketch at every word, anyway I was engrossed in counting bolts nuts and washers out and suddenly there is ds with a huge triumphant smile plastered all over his 6month old face. He had climbed out of the play pen and up the stairs without us noticing.
I do find bolts nuts and washers very hypnotic mind you.

moon we all close our eyes and think of England so please don't worry.
