Hello MrsKate!! Pleased to hear you survived now MrKate is back at work.

GracieGirl · 20/04/2010 21:26

Well done Monkey for asking - I thought it was just me who hasn't got a clue what Glee is. Nice poem. xx

Louey sorry to hear you have to have an ERPC after all.

Mermaid I'll be thinking of you for your scan tomorrow, I'm out all day so can someone text me Mermaid's news too. I'm off to baby massage tomorrow afternoon - Isabelle screamed all the way through the last session, but loved it the week before.

Good to hear Cupcake and 4ever had lovely scans today.

Neeko at your DD!

MrsKate · 20/04/2010 21:22

hi all so so sorry ive not been on .

been hving quality time with dh as he is back at work now i managed yeah !!

hope everyone is well

cant beleive how time has flown jack is 6 weeks and 9lbs fatty xxx

need to catch up xxxxx

MummyLovesSadie · 20/04/2010 20:51

4ever I was about to say something similar to what Monkey has just said. When I was pregnant with dd, at every midwife appointment & every scan I asked them how big they though she would be & they always said that it was impossible to tell. I was enormous & she was only 6lb 12. Also yes you might have be a big baby when she comes but anything under about 11 lbs is not that unusual.

Monkey what a lovely poem, it felt like it really meant something & I'm not even religious.

Mermaid yikes, let our knees knock in unison as my scan is midday too. Although they said I could have a 2-3 hour wait. Can somebody please text me your news?

Louey what a bummer that you have to have another op, this is really dragging on for you. Hope you get lots of r&r in Cornwall. Personally I would use the general anesthetic as a brilliant excuse to spend the whole weekend in a horizontal position & getting everyone to run around after me!

Cupcake you are not the only one who hates Glee, I can't stand any of that American claptrap! I'm glad your scan went so well & you got to see so much detail. I had been looking forward to my detailed scan tomorrow but now I'm just plain scared

Neeko I'm guessing you might be tucked up in bed now after the kind of night you had last night?

Sabs if you manage to shift your Mummy-tummy please pass some tips this way! Also, loving 'Enders at the moment! Don't you think the whole storyline with Ronnie & the doctor is the most improbable & superfluous ever??!

Vjay your ds1 sounds adorable & every time you tell us something about him I just want to give him a great big hug, I'm sure he'll really enjoy tomorrow.

Blue gorgeous pic of ds2, he has good taste in toys too, my dd loves Upsy-Daisy!

I've realised I've not regaled you with any tales of my dd recently. This morning she was in our bed drinking her milk, laying next to Daddy, when I was taking my pj's off to have a shower. She put her milk down, gasped & sat up at the same time, pointing & shouting "Look Daddy, Mummy's got great big boobies"! Then a couple of weeks ago I'd just got out of the shower & she said "Mummy when I'm a big girl will I have a big bum & big bits like you?"!!

cupcakefairy · 20/04/2010 20:01

Evening lovely ladies. Thanks so much for all your kind words and hand holds for today. Everything was absolutely fine; baby a bit below average size but nothing to worry about. Was so lovely having another scan, they showed us the face and we couldn't believe how clear it was- could see eyelids and nostrils etc I got a bit weepy! Dh was so cute then when we got home he said 'let me just look at that picture of titch's face one more time before I go to work'

4ever I know I've said it all by text but just wanted to offer another hug. Makes me so so that you just have one thing after another to deal with. But as mermaid says- you're flipping having a baby! and when she's in your arms it will be all worth it. Can't believe that woman said there's risk of miscarriage though

louey so sorry you have to have another op that sucks. Really hope you get a nice hassle-free w/e in Cornwall though.

mermaid yeeeehah to scan tomorrow. Will be thinking of you lots.

monkey I also think you are ace and brave. So glad you are home now and I am just amazed you are cooking dinner & posting on here I would just have a duvet over my head. Huge hugs to you.

mls felt a huge weight come off my shoulders when I read you saying you were reassured by your cons appointment- yippee! That's so great your dd had same measurement & that you're seeing this expert dude.

moon huge hugs to you too lovely, sorry you're low. Maybe we should all post wedding dress pictures in a vain attempt to cheer you up!

I love all the cupcake clothes see them everywhere; will be great if I have a little girl (we think the face looked a bit girly today though we are now undecided on girl names but firm on two boy names, it's flipped around! Gah!)

I think I'm the only person in the world who hates Glee some of the songs are fun but arrrghh the lack of acting, plotlines, humour...

Right, I need to make a toastie now too.

bluesatinsash · 20/04/2010 19:55

monkeybum what a beautiful poem . So lovely to see you posting too x

4ever - oh honey it just never ends does it? Really hope everything OK and your DD is just a big hearty girl.

mermaid I will be holding your sparkly painted toes tomorrow as all hands have been taken. My God I am praying for you xx

Louey - OMG at our DS1's having the same names!! Isaac is after my middle name (McIsaac) which is my paternal grannie's maiden name. So shit you have to go back for another ERPC but as you say that's it done and dusted. Enjoy your weekend in Cornwall.

Vjay - Glad you had a lovely lunch out . Have sky + Glee from last night! Hope your DS1 tai kwon do goes well, you are such a fab mummy to him and Ajay x

Sabs - check you with the excercising - well done!

Slinking off now as knackered beyond the pale today.

Love to All x

monkeybumsmum · 20/04/2010 19:23

4ever Not managed to reply to text so thought would reply on here - it must've scared you so much today, but it's good they're staying on top of things and doing the special scan on Friday. Hopefully then you can be reassured that dd is doing okay. I think it's very difficult for them to make an accurate guess of her weight - and even if it is right then going on the rule that at this stage she'll gain half a pound a week, then yes she would be big, but not abnormally so. Obviously I don't know anything about GD but am trying to think of things to put your mind at rest. Concentrate on the good things you were told today and try very hard to stay calm. Maybe this weekend you will finally be able to relax and enjoy the last few weeks, I really hope so xxx

Mermaid will be thinking of you at 12 uk time tomorrow and praying hard for a little heartbeat Good luck xxx

Louey Poor you having to have another ERPC. I hope it all goes well this time and that it heralds a fresh start for you. Will be thinking of you tomorrow, at least you have a lovely week away to look forward to (am presuming you have nice IL's ). Toastie sounded delicious, might have to try that!

Vjay Did you manage to have lunch out? Hope so! Also, what on earth is Glee? I read your post yesterday, and then read in Heat magazine that a friend gave me that unless you've been living under a rock for the last four months (which I must've been doing) that you would be in love with Glee! It seems to be everywhere and I feel like I'm living on a different planet

Huge hi to everyone else, sorry for not posting more, but dh drying ds's hair as I type and I need to take his milk up... Will be back tomorrow for news xxx

4everhopeful · 20/04/2010 18:09

So sorry i keep not doin proper posts, thanks to all the lovelies for ur thoughts today, promise ill be back for proper personals 2moro, am not leaving the house! ....Mermaid the tightest handsqueezes & biggest prayers for ur scan 2moro lovely.. Other hand to Mls for ur scan, another fab ex local hospital of mine, ur in good hands... Louey Ill alternate hands to give you some hairstrokes, so crap u need the 2nd erpc, had to do same with my 3rd, messes u up bein in limbo like that, its a relief when finally over iykwim.. Monkey always sendin positive thoughts to u... Lotsa love to the rest of ya.. Completely freaked after my scan tbh, baby is 7lb9 & has to have special heart scan on fri cos of her size & glucose issue, they reckon its protocol & heart does look fine, but still freakin & in tears when they told me, apparently when so big can cause enlargement of heart... :-S Diabetic midwife not in so just saw lady from diabetic clinic who didnt appear to have any ante natal experience, totally tactless, said can cause miscarriage, wtf im nearly 34wk, its not even classed as that now! She said tho overall readings good, cos couple of high ones to continue monitoring, cut my pudding out & go back fri.. Makes me feel like a glutton & im really not :-( Have booked to see consultant next thurs cos induction maybe a real option with growth the way it is but only he can make decision.. :-( Tis crap when i thought i was on home stretch & so close... Just hoped now was one of 1st times i could finally start enjoying my preg :'(

VJay · 20/04/2010 15:48

louey that was a lovely long post , I did get my lunch out, we went to a little cafe in town.
Was at your private SALT bills. Back where I come from I didn't much like our SALT, but up here she is brilliant. DS didn't get his ASD diagnosis until he was 5, well 2 weeks off being 6, and if it had been done any earlier I don't think they would have picked it up. He had a diagnosis of severe speech delay before that. Am in the process of getting him into after school activities, he is going to start tai kwan do tomorrow, have just told him and he's getting a bit anxious, but I will be with him tomorrow to see how he gets on.
So sorry you've got to have another op, but fingers crossed it gets everything sorted and you can enjoy Cornwall

Hi mermaid here's my hand for tomorrow, will be with you in spirit, willing everything to be fab

4ever hope all is ok with you. xx

loueytbg · 20/04/2010 13:43

Am typing this while eating a chicken, cheese and tomato toastie....yumm (thanks Mermaid for suggestion )

Monkey welcome back. What an ordeal you've had, I hope your rib heals soon. A bit of retail therapy is definitely a good idea IMO. Sod DH (can you tell I'm terrible with money). The poem was lovely.

Mermaid - am wishing you all the best at the scan tomorrow. Will be thinking of you and keeping lots of things crossed that you get to see hb.

Sabs - wow, sounds like you are going to be a very fit and toned lady soon . Re the creche - if you can face it, it will be good practice for you and Saara in the long run. I did something similar when DTs were babies and it was hard at first but they soon got used to it and I got to go the gym . I'm also watching Glee although I'm behind you all at the mo. Its DH's idea of absolute hell tv so I have watch it when he's out (which is not a lot...)

Vjay hope you get your lunch out. Of course I don't mind you stalking me You must have lots of challenges with DS1. My DS1 was assessed for ASD last year but they kept an open mind and I think now its clear he doesn't have it. Mind you we don't know what he does have. All we have is a diagnosis of global developmental delay, which is the term they give when they don't know what is wrong. We've seen lots of professionals but its all very patchy and his NHS SALT which he desperately needs is very sporadic. We've been paying for a private SALT but at £65 a week it is very expensive. He has made massive progress in the past 6 months but is clearly going to need support in school. Personally I think he has dyspraxia and verbal dyspraxia and I'm about to have a battle with the NHS to try and get him properly assessed! Wish me luck.

4ever hope everything went well this morning and the weebles have subsided.

Cupcake hope your scan was reassuring too.

Blue just went onto your profile to have a peek of pics of Ben - he's absolutely gorgeous. But was shocked to find that your DS1 has exactly the same names as mine. What a bizarre coincidence. Clearly we both have wonderful taste (and he's gorgeous too). Hope the christening goes well on Sunday.

MLS I'm so glad the consultant has eased your mind and you will be getting a scan with the best person in the country. Really hope this is the end of the stress for you. What car did you get in the end?? DH is thinking of buying a newish one and can't decide what to get

PFJ hope you are feeling a bit happier today. I agree with the others, she sounds like a right cow and clearly has problems. .

Gracie at the cars

Neeko hope the milk monster is letting you get some rest. Well done for getting on here at all.

Curly so sorry that curlygirl is still suffering with the colic. Good suggestion re cranial osteopathy - I know it worked for some friends of ours who had severe sleeping issues with DD1.

Barbie at fake tan tips. Hope Devon has settled down - its not a hunger thing is it? We had similar issues after flights when they were little, and it was because they were starving, poor mites and we hadn't realised [useless parents emoticon]. Think the flights and time difference had affected their feeding schedules more than we had realised.

Moon if you want to talk, we're all here. Hugs and hairstrokes to you.

Hi to all those I've missed, hope you're ok

Well Loueyland is not getting any better . Repeat scan yesterday showed I still have a clot although it has got smaller. So they gave me the option of waiting another 2 weeks or having ERPC now. After umming and ahhing lots I decided to go for the ERPC and get it over with (hopefully!). So I'm back in tomorrow for round 2. We are off to Cornwall at the weekend for a week to stay with ILs so I hope there are no complications.

mermaidspurse · 20/04/2010 11:13

monkey Well young lady you have certainly been through the wringer. Your poem is very poignant, made me think of the warp and weft holding everything together. Thank you also for your words, somehow we will all drag each other through these months.
I have a vision of a huge nurse picking you up and slinging you over her shoulder. Your poor dh and dad must have been so worried about you. So very glad you have ds to cuddle and hope it helps to begin your mending.xxx

moon lovely lady I always so wish I had a magic wand. Please don't hide away we are always here and as barbie always says none of us are going anywhere. That always helped me when I have felt left behind.xxx

well the epu just rang me and have given me an appointment for tomorrow at 12 gulp. So I will be 6+5. Good enough with the dildocam I reckon. dh can't come cos he is chocca at work. So I am going to be really brave and go by myself I am steeling myself for the worst but will paint my toe nails.

sabs I am very impressed with all this fitness stuff. Pilates always confuses the hell out of me though.

cupcake hope you are ok today can't remember when your scan is but am crossing everything.

vjay hope you managed to have a nice pub lunch somewhere. lager and lime in a pub garden

blue you so don't need starching

4ever know you won't be back on here for most of the day but I have to just echo blues sentiments. I know it has been a very tiring and fraut pregnancy but wow you are blinking having a baby! how amazing is that? unreal really when you think back to the dark days of last year and we are all so made up for you we could pop

mls nah ditch the machine get some of those tostie pockets from lakeland they are fairly near a proper toastie. melted cheese and cherry tomatoes, go on run!

VJay · 20/04/2010 10:16

monkey that is lovely

4ever here's a hand to grab my lovely weeble

blue glee started back last night, did you miss it? Dh bought me the boxset from the last season, and have just started to re-watch all that, and I've downloaded the music too , it's just feelgood funny telly
Lovely picture of B too, he is too cute , and can't believe it's the Christening this weekend, that has come round very fast.

sabs you sound like superwoman with all your fab classes, I'm very of you for finding the time, you go girl

Off to do some tidying, dh is on day off so will hopefully have lunch out today, well that's what I'm hinting at anyway, laters lovelies, and happy scan days xx

Monkey that poem is beautiful, bless u hon... You are such a special lady to still be concerned for others whilst in the midst of your own grief still... Massive hug to you x x x x x

monkeybumsmum · 20/04/2010 07:38

dark not darks, d'oh!

monkeybumsmum · 20/04/2010 07:37

Oh 4ever I really hope you get on okay - will be lurking too for yours and Cupcakes news.

I couldn't get to sleep last night and managed about 3 hrs in the end (dreaming of Tiger Woods for some reason ) and I was thinking of all the things I need to do... One of them was to write out that quote that I told you about last week 4ever - I know it's a bit late, but it always seems to give me inspiration and hope, no matter what's going on, so I thought you might like it. Mum gave it to me so it's very special.

The Weaver

My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me
I cannot choose the colours
He worketh steadily
Of times He weaveth sorrow
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside
Not 'til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why
The darks threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skilful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned

Hope you like it, and good luck xxx

4everhopeful · 20/04/2010 06:53

Weeble weeble, had a grabbed sporadic 4 hrs sleep here & there, googling GD & gettin in a right state with tales of giant babies & various horror stories.... I ache all over from tension, tossing & turning... Roll on scan at 9am but will prob have to wait ages as last min apt & diabetic midwife not til 11am... Will hold cupcakes hand while i wait...

Sabs1981 · 19/04/2010 22:45

Hello, just a quick one from me but wanted to send out a big hug to monkey mls pfj moon and anyone else who wants a hug from me ( I give nice hugs especially as I'm more cuddly now )

Also want to say to 4ever and cupcake good luck for your scans tomorrow. I'll be lurking as always for news

mermaid just want to add to the mix that we had a scan at 7+3 with Saara, and if you get a chance to go on fb, the scan photo is the first photo in Saara's album

blue and barbie lurving your DC's photo's on here and fb

Also a glee fan - my status on fb today was reminding everyone that it was back on tonight

neeko had my second buggyfit class today, my legs are aching, but I resisted the urge to have a nap after my class like I did last week . Saara went swimming for the first time yesterday. DH went in the pool with her, as I want it to be "their" activity, but I went along to watch from the sides as it was the first time. She loved it which is good! Our mother and baby yoga starts again this week on Thursday after a month off, and I'm also thinking of doing pilates which is on the same day an hour later, but it means leaving saara in a creche for an hour - which I've never done. I've only left her with family members. But I really need to get rid of this wobbly belly Think I will decide on the day

Night all - hope to be back soon (this post was longer than I intended!)

4everhopeful · 19/04/2010 22:13

Blue ur so lovely to remember all those details... Bless ur heart! Glee fan here too! ..... Monkey good to see u back my lovely, slowly does it brave lady.... Cupcake my shaky weebly & sweaty hand is at the ready for our scans first thing tomorrow morning hon... Wont be able to tx til midday as diabetic midwife afterwards

bluesatinsash · 19/04/2010 21:44

err chin not shin - not that would look odd

bluesatinsash · 19/04/2010 21:41

Evening lovelies,

Hello and big welcome back hug to Monkey. I salute your strength and am in awe of your bounce backability. You have gone through one of the worst things any woman can go through and I'm not surprised you felt you were going mad . Be kind to yourself and take it slowly and yes purchases from Boden do help .

Vjay - I LOVE Glee!!!! Its my Friday night treat, I sky+ it and Grey's from durng the week and watch them with my glass of red. I love the songs and Mr Shu and Sue Sherman is a hoot! Loving the mental image of Ajay lunging across the floor - atta boy!

MLS - Really glad you've got your scan and having the top guy do it is all the better .

cupcake and 4ever - thinking about you both tomorrow. 4ever glad your last day was and you got lots of pressies and send offs and $$$ . Remember back in Summer when your colleague with a similar EDD (for your 4th lo) was having her last day and you were so at her presents and send off and here you are - you got your day I hope you took a moment to see how far you have come.

mermaidsixweekseek! - I had internal scan with DS1 at 5+3 and saw hb and 6+3 with DS2 and saw hb. It can be tough though getting scanned so early as you are just waiting for it all to go wrong, especially those of us who have had more than one mc BUT from a mental health point of view I couldn't have survived the early weeks of this pg without early regular scans.

Neeko - top boobage for sure . hope you are going easy on youself missy and not doing any dusting whilst feeding H. Have you got Tesco.com on the go yet?

Moon - please come and talk that's what we're here for. Unlike MLS I always pictured you as a blonde and yes having seen MLS wedding photos on fb I can vouch for the empire grecian look .

PFJ - I'm thinking that 'vicki' is a tad jealous of you no? As the Italian's would say forget about it whilst flipping your hand off your shin and ordering that she is sent to 'swim with the fishes'

Curly - sorry to hear you are with curlygirl's colic. It does ease up once they learn how to break their wind and their digestive systems mature a little. Ben is 4 months on Friday and still has unsettled feeds but less and less and even they aren't as bad as he can burp much better. He still projectiles his milk sometimes but think its due to my flow being v. fast and him being v. greedy.

Barbie - hope little D has settled and not as grumpy - bless her! Was at you being 5ft 3 - you always looked taller in your photoes - must have been wearing those stilts

Hey to everyone else, I've put a new photo of Bennyboy up as finally managed to capture him smiling. Its his christening this Sunday so the robes are being starched as I speak, pity I can be starched too and spray tanned and slimmed down and toned up - oh well .

ThePFJ · 19/04/2010 21:40

You are all completely right of course. Am trying to relax tonight, watching the final of Hell's Kitchen USA. I love it when Ramsey swears at them all!!

My two cats are currently sitting in the middle of the livingroom taking turns to play 'tetherball' with the string on my little boys 'Cranky Crane' from Thomas the Tank Engine! Mad cats.

MummyLovesSadie · 19/04/2010 21:01

Yay Monkey is back! Eeek at having a psychiatrist called & double eeek at you fainting & getting those injuries. You've been through enough to make the most level-headed person go a bit loony but I'm glad you are feeling more on top of things. I hope you could feel the love & support we were all sending you across the miles. Each & every one of us was devastated by what you had to go through.

Moon please come back & talk to us. When I have my Mac back I'm going to add a pic of me in my wedding dress as it was a kind of floaty empire line dress that I had made. I could only find strapless, boned-bodice type wedding dresses in the shops & they were all the opposite of what I wanted. Also keep meaning to say at your description of yourself! I never imagined you as a pale blonde-type, I pictured you with dark hair.

Neeko I'm trying to persuade dh to have a golf day whilst we are up there so I can escape for a few hours !

Vjay I'm liking the sound of the 'lunge-crawl', my personal favorite is the 'bottom-hop-crawl'!

Gracie where the hell did you find those cars???!

Mermaid I wish you hadn't mentioned cheese toasties - I'm going to have to dig out the sandwich toaster from the dusty recesses of a far flung corner tomorrow!

ThePFJ I can see how that text from that silly woman would have ruined your evening. I'd love to be one of those people who could shrug things like that off but I'd be really upset too. As much as we all say we'd don't care what other people think about us, I think we do & if we meet someone new and we've been really nice to them & they don't like us for some reason, then of course it's upsetting. All you can do is try & rise above it & not let it fester.

Right, my small window on dh's laptop is coming to an end.

GracieGirl · 19/04/2010 20:20

monkey welcome back, I've missed you! VJay is right, I too am constantly amazed at your ability to think of others whilst going through such a hard time yourself. Also very pleased to hear there's no curry splattered round your lounge.

Moon we always have time to listen to you - come on tell us all about it or I'll go and find you a wedding car that's worse than those awful smart cars!! Link for those who missed them

Mermaid I had a transvaginal scan at 7.5 weeks this time as its quicker to find the baby and I couldn't bear the extra few seconds wait whilst they searched with tummy scan for that strong heart beat.

VJay · 19/04/2010 20:11

moon sweetie, if you need to talk I am here

monkey good on ya for treating yourself, and good little monkeybum for eating all his dinner. I call my ds's monkeybums too
