Unbuffy · 16/03/2010 10:53

Just spotted my atrocious spelling. That's now, hormones, etc. [stupid emoticon]

Unbuffy · 16/03/2010 10:51

Okay, calm down ttc. Relax. You've probably run out of wee by noy anyway, and your 'first wee' is almost certainly gone, and that's the stuff with the hormines in.

So. Go and have a nice sit down, and consider - if you ARE, you ARE, and you've got 40 weeks to put up with and look forward to, and if you're NOT, you can have a big glass of wine and relax, and there's always next month. After all, practice makes perfect.

I would also suggest (tentatively) that you give yourself a morning off testing tomorrow - all the stress of line/no line/faint line isn't good for you or your potential bean.

We're all rooting for you, but you need to relax now for 24 hours at least. Just remember, any more tests won't be with hormone-rich wee so are not worth doing. Or worrying about for now .

Here, have a nice choccy biscuit and a cup of virtual tea. And some Jammy dodgers:

ttcbabyno3 · 16/03/2010 10:33

oh i am driving myself nuts, 3 FR and 3 light lines, 1 digital and negative :-(

Unbuffy · 16/03/2010 10:32

Sounds good, ttc - lay off the excess wine and beer and try again on Thursday! Fingers and toes crossed x

I'm being very very good and not testing yet - prob wouldn't show anything anyway and I'm not prepared to get a pointless bfn (shining halo emoticon). BUT still got indigestion etc, which last time started Day 1 of pg (well before I tested) and continued until mc at 14 weeks.

Roll on next Monday...

ttcbabyno3 · 16/03/2010 10:20

There is def a line there .. faint but there. still dont feel 100% sure though

Ondine · 16/03/2010 08:13

Hi ttc, did you say you're due on the 21st? I think first response are 4 days earlier than the standard test?

A faint line is hopeful either way - good luck. Not that long to wait, though I know nearly a week drags.

ttcbabyno3 · 16/03/2010 07:29

Hi ladies did a test with first response and got a very faint line? Are first response any good?

Xxx

Wholelottalove · 15/03/2010 22:20

Hello all, just finished watching the 'women' documentary about mothers - v interesting and a few moments when DH and I were both pissing oursevles. Shame everyone on it was so middle class - not massively representative.

Queen - I had the Mirena out late Jan and after a couple of days had v strong pg symptoms - sickness, v sore boobs etc etc, then again as you know this last cycle, but I've read withdrawel from the Mirena can do that, confusingly.

Ondine - hope you can wait till period due, not that I'm one to talk but it really is best.

TTC - good luck for tomorrow.

Lucy - glad your DCs are getting better and I hope hyour 3yo is feeling better tomorrow.

queenoftheslatterns · 15/03/2010 21:00

lucy, i was on it for 6 months at 50mg. it does seem to be prescribed as a last ditch to stave off IVF, i fell pg the last month of taking it but mc'd (again) it sends your ovaries into overdrive so it does increase your odds of one getting through, but a huge amount of women FTC do so because of unexplained infertility.

the side effects were terrible, I was bloated, spotty, the mood swings were horrendous. but I'd do it all again.

Hi ondine i think you can have symptoms early, my sister was out shopping with us a week and a half before her AF was due and she was near enough sick, and went off coffee, sore boobs etc and she still kept saying no no must be ill it's to early, but she was :-)

im def going to test tommorow as i got the faintes of all lines sunday so i already. have my hopes up lol also if i am i need to tell the doctor asap as im on tablets etc

xx

Ondine · 15/03/2010 18:52

Hope you get a positive tomorrow ttc, I know what you mean about feeling sick and tired, I felt so sick today on the tube that I had to get off. But would you get any symptons at 2 wks - maybe not.

Will catch up on the result tomorrow if you decide to test - not that I should encourage you of course but good luck.

ttcbabyno3 · 15/03/2010 18:18

hey ladies, i may have to give in and test in morning i am sooo exhausted constantly yawning and feel sick, even refused dinner which is not me.
at this moment i am wrapped up in bed with my laptop.
also pain in my right side and incrdible achey legs. if im not pregnant i must be ill and need to top up on tabs.

queen i had a fab mums dat than u, did you?

good for you ladies getting the men on a good diet, its only fair when/if i get pregnant ill be on healthy diet, i already am but extra healthy lol

Ondine · 15/03/2010 17:11

I have made DH go on a heavy metal detox poor man . I shall be getting some Brazil nuts in as well.

I thought that was the case queenoftheslatterns - just had to ask to be sure. The 26th of March is so long away.

Good luck everyone and yes think of the money you will save. £20 for a test in Sainsburys!

queenoftheslatterns · 15/03/2010 16:52

ondine, it really is best to, not only are HPT's more accurate but it will save you money and heartache. i know its frustrating, but as I said, waiting doesnt make you any less pg.

ttcno3, thats brilliant well done!

hope evetyone is ok and had a good mums day

WLL, when did you have the mirena removed?

lucy, how are the angels today?

I have made dh promise to lay off the beer this month and bought him brazil nuts which i shall be spiking everything with i dont want to have to make cons appointment again, so we shall see what happens over the next couple of months. the prob is, i ov from my tuibeless side most months so odda arent great. oh well, back on the clomisd if needs be!

Ondine · 15/03/2010 15:57

No testing for me.... do you really need to wait until the day your period is due? I can't wait that long lol - i'm a bit desperate this time.

Last time I didn't know i was pregnant until about 7 weeks so I had none of this waiting and hoping.

ttcbabyno3 · 15/03/2010 08:11

Hi everyone, been really good this morning no testing YEAY.

Good luck to you too wholelottalove

Hope everyone else is holding up and resisting the urge lol

xx

Wholelottalove · 14/03/2010 20:19

Happy mother's day everyone, hope you had good days. Lucy - sorry your little ones are poorly, and hope they sleep well for you tonight.

Well, have decided I've learnt my lesson from the last cycle and am firmly resolving to not test until AF is at LEAST a couple of days late (although hard to know as cycle still settling after mirena). TTC, Unbuffy and Ondine - good luck with holding off the testing, nothing worse than seeing the BFN.

no, no, no!!! opening up the tests gives a false result. it causes evap lines to appear.

ondine, welcome to the thread lovely!

OP posts:
ttcbabyno3 · 14/03/2010 16:53

Hop aboard lol, 2ww drags, im going to try holding of to test now till earliest Wed i got my hopes up when a BFN pops up it really is upsetting.

Ondine · 14/03/2010 16:27

good luck ttcbabyno3, I think I will join this thread if that's ok.

Think/Hope I may be 9 days pg? But shouldn't test until around the 26th..... so I will try to hold off until then.....

ttcbabyno3 · 14/03/2010 13:31

Ok im just on my out BUT my first response i did this morning that i thought had a slight line, i wasn't sure because behind the test they have those lines don't they? if you get me. so i broke it open lol and i can def see one of the most faintest lines when i hold it up, so now im wondering. it has made me a lot happier .. prob just getting my hopes up though.
