not started one of these threads for a while but have moved on from my enforced ttc break and we shall give it another go. however, I have one rule.

NO TESTING BEFORE 14DPO, its for your own good!

11dpo=51%
12dpo=62%

the reliability of a HPT increases greatly the closer you are to 14dpo, HCG levels vary an awful lot in early pg and they are most reliable after your period is due. there are always people who get BFP's at 9/10dpo, but that is actually very rare, and especially with the high incidences of chemical pg's it is best to wait as long as possible in order to get a more accurate result (only something like 45% of women get a true result by testing early)
