Exactly - keep the faith Lou!

My lovely 1-childed friend does want more, but not desperately if you know what I mean. However she has come off the pill and told her husband she wants another baby and if he wants sex he has to bear the consequences! She is a bossy cow my friend, but very funny with it.

Loujalou · 17/03/2010 12:25

In a a way it is probably bad for your friend whose DH doesn't want another as she can't even try for one. That is unless she is happy with one.

Loujalou · 17/03/2010 12:22

My hypno has faith! So it must be true.

PollyPoo · 17/03/2010 12:19

Its fucking hard isn't it. Every mum that I met when we had our first babies together has gone on to have more. One of them is now pregnant with her third and I'm still waiting for no2. There is only one other mum with just the 1 child, and her DH doesn't want anymore, so really it is just me.

Still, it WILL happen for us when the time is right. I have to believe that or else go mad.

Loujalou · 17/03/2010 12:10

Am a bit gutted as we started trying at same time and she has got a baby and I haven't. Can't really say that in real life. But excited about baby cuddles.

PollyPoo · 17/03/2010 12:08

That is lovely Lou! Meant to say - I don't think I get funny feelings in tummy after acupuncture... must pay more attention next time. Hope your friend gets her baybee soon!

Loujalou · 17/03/2010 12:06

Oh and I was asked to be a guide parent for my friend's little girl. Like a god parent but the non-religious version. I was chuffed.

Loujalou · 17/03/2010 12:03

Ahhhh.... Am very excited for you Pol my friend's waters broke on Monday just before 37 weeks and she has not gone into labour so instead is bored in hospital!

PollyPoo · 17/03/2010 12:00

Hey all, just realised I have got to CD21 without realising - no menkulling at all yet. Tis a miracle for me.

I am very tired and excited today - my little sis is 37 weeks tomorrow but has been in hospital for a week with high blood pressure. Last night they induced her and I was so excited/worried in equal proportions that I couldn't sleep. Meanwhile, sis slept through mild conractsions!

I've just had a text from BIL to say waters have broken and things are moving fast now. Hoorah, I'm going to be an auntie again! But this time it will be a niece, so extra special.

Unbuffy · 17/03/2010 11:52

They took it away last time when it had a huge dent in. This time i'm not so worried as it's only a tiny bit of cosmetic damage, so i let them leave it . Just got to be wired up and pow! Party timw!

Icedlemonmuffin · 17/03/2010 11:32

Well my White good is all plumbed in and has been used twice already! Dd was very excited and made me wash some towels just so she could see how it worked only six and excited by a washing machine ( we both need to get out more!!

Dh away again until Monday so I can sit here waiting for rtd on my own.

Unbuffy did they take your oven back? My delivery men were ok took the all the wrapping off and took it away with them.

morning everyone!

Well, my shiny silver white goods (actual oven not 'white goods') have arrived - slight scratch this time but considerably better than bloody great dent. Delivery numpties got quite grumpy and aggressive when I pointed it out - why are men such pea-brains and why do they always think that women (especially with toddler clamped to hip) are overconcerned about everything and overreact and grrrrraaaaah. In the end I said that dh was a perfectionist and needed to make sure everything was perfect and I could get into trouble if it weren't right. (Not at all true bless 'im). WHY should I have to resort to these LIES and WHY DO THEY WORK?

MEN!!!!!

[Rant over]

At least i've got my oven now. Now it's just handles on the cupboard doors, the washing machine, a new kettle that actually boils water rather than leaving it kinda tepid.... etc.

I'm so bored of a)ttc and b)tww that even the other type of white goods are becoming interesting.... Might browse through a fridge catalogue later...mmmm...

I like white goods as new terminology for swimmers. We need to rid the boards of auntie flow. RTOD is good or just the witch or even better period. We discuss our most intimate details but are scared to say her name in vain. Though its a swear word on this thread.

Ooh yes good code words!

xx

Icedlemonmuffin · 16/03/2010 20:34

Just realised that the term 'white goods' could mean many different things on conception threads !

Example- Dh just delivered the 'white goods' (lol and yuck at the same time)

Lucy it's ok. Just wanted to reply so you didn't think I was rude (brunette by the way)!

lou I'm with ya sister! I'm convinced too now! Especially as EWCM lasted a day & I hope SWI last night was the right time.

Unbuffy Yes it was scary at times but you know how it is - try anything for what you want!

Iced DH (my one lol) says the same to me! Gotta giggle at your excited at white goods. I do too! lol

xxx

Icedlemonmuffin · 16/03/2010 19:33

I never thought I would get so excited by white goods!
A new oven is next on my list (when funds become available)

Hope your oven has a safe arrival tommorow!

Unbuffy · 16/03/2010 19:20

I have an oven arriving tomorrow - we can be new appliance buddies! It did come 2 weeks ago but had a bloody great DENT in and had to be sent straight back. I never even got to play (sigh). Excitement tonight will probably keep me awake...

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Icedlemonmuffin · 16/03/2010 19:06

Lol Unbuffy too tired to even type properly!

I was thinking of hypnotising myself so that I truely believe I'm not ttc but that I'm a sex maniac!!!

New washing machine arrived this afternoon so it might be the excitement that's impaired my typing!

Going to torture myself and watch one born every minute later!!!!

Lemon - what is ttw? Is it something to do with firemen again? Or too tighty whiteys? (sorry, cross threads I think!)

Dark and hollow laughter - ho ho ho - about fooling yourself. I keep trying to convice myself that the indigestion and sore boobs and tireness I feel are all to do with the bad cold I'm just coming out of, but it's not working. Let us know if it works, we could all give it a go! We could pretend we're not ttc either. (ttc: too tighty cervix?). More dark and hollow laughter (but with fingers crossed that it works)

Icedlemonmuffin · 16/03/2010 18:04

I feel the same Lou I'm always saying 'if I ever get pregnant' dh says when you get pregnant! I really try and stay positive but sometimes it's impossible.

I'm trying something new this month, I'm in the ttw but I'm trying to fool myself that I'm waiting for rtd not for pregnancy symptoms! I'm hoping this new strategy saves my sanity this month.
