Hello all...

My partner and I are trying for a baby and in our first month of trying. AF is due on Sat, fingers crossed i don't get to see it.

But i cant help but think this is going to be a difficult ride....I have never thought the prospect of having children ever be a difficult one but now i have started trying, I am now wondering if i am going to find it hard to conceive.

Am i the only one who thinks this? Or am i not the only paranoid being on Mumsnet??

x

I bet that is frustrating...but i am sure you know it, he will say yes and you will have a BFP!!

Keep us informed CCBloom.

Couldn't go to get bloods taken as it was a sat, so seeing if it is too late for tomorrow as it will be CD4 ......so might have missed the boat, grrrr, very annoying as that means i will have to wait to next AF.

I will keep in touch fellow friends :-)

Hope your trip to the hospital went ok Pinkiepoo and so sorry that AF arrived. I was rooting for you giving us some good news, it will happen though!

Would love to work some magic on my OH but he's quite a stubborn one. The more I try to talk him around the more he digs his heels in. I'm thinking of giving him 1 month to have a go at quitting smoking and then we have a holiday in Miami at the beginning of next month so he may be more receptive and open to discussion then, at least that's what I'm hoping. He does say that he wants to try but I think after the MC he wants to make sure we give ourselves the best chance next time around. It's really frustrating for me though.

PinkiePoo · 06/03/2010 08:24

Just after i posted last night, went up to bed, had my 'before bed pee' and there it was........AF!!!!!

Grrrrr........oh well, at least it is here now and can just try and be positive for this month.

Gonna pop to the hospital later to get the bloods taken as it is day 2 of my cycle!! Wish me luck!

Yes, I tested on Weds, and a BFN! I am probably having one of my many irregular AF's, so more than likely be this weekend, as i have all the tell-tale signs still, cramping!! Why can't it just be simple!!!

PicklePants that is great news and happy Ambushing night!!

CCBloom can you not talk to OH - why June? have you told how you really feel about it? Hope you get to start planning soon honey.

I'm so pleased for you Picklepants have a great weekend!

Unfortunately my OH is digging his heels in about the smoking issue and is still intent on waiting until June as he thinks it will take him that long to break the addicion. Grrrrrrrrr it's so frustrating, I just want to get started! Got through one set of traffic lights and now I'm stuck at another red light.

Picklepants · 05/03/2010 16:59

Well I found out that I am indeed immune to rubella, so thankfully no enforced abstinence for me. Hurrah!

Planning to ambush DH tonight now

Happy shagging this weekend everyone

PinkiePoo · 05/03/2010 16:42

Ahh thank you MrsWajs. Unfortunately I am on month 7 of being pill free, although only cycle 1 of trying, but yes the periods seem to be getting worse. But never mind. I will keep staying positive!!

And good luck to you, hope it happens real soon for you. Let us all know, i love to have good news, plus keeps everyone else in great frame of mind :-)

Hey PinkiePoo I was just reading up some of the thread and to say I totally know where ure coming from! Although my periods are not really irregular they like to string it out a few days some cycles and spring it on me a week early in others!! But everything your feeling is completely normal!!
I had shocking mood swings coming off the pill, to the point of even questioning whether I wanted to be with OH or not - but it was all just hormones!! Went on for a rew months and has settled right down now (thank god)I am now also plagued with spots i never used to get and dry skin, greasy hair etc etc. It's amazing what the pill actually does to your body other than the obvious!!
Anyway I am cycle 8 now and still no BFP as yet but the trying is still fun, just have to go with the folew I guess!! Good luck to you

PinkiePoo · 05/03/2010 06:55

Thanks CCBloom. Yes she said where I have irregular AF's, I have to widen my DTD, ha ha which OH was over the moon about.
She also suggested to get an ovulation kit, so i did. A clearblue one....But i hope I wont be getting disheartned by finding out i'm not even ovulating!!

We will see. STILL waiting for AF!!! Grrrrr.

PinkiePoo it's good to hear that your doctor is taking action to help you rule things out. Did she give you any advice on how to monitor when you ovulate?

PinkiePoo · 04/03/2010 12:25

That is great news CCBloom......yes start getting that OH of yours to pull his finger out!
Good luck too Picklepants....hope you get the same great news.

Well visit to the doctors was very reassuring.I am unfortunate in the fact I am just one of those woman who have irregular periods, which means i sometimes don't ovulate....rubbish! :-(
She is also sending me to get my bloods done on day 2 of my cycle when it arrives, to test for a throid problem or PCOS. Fingers crossed, I am in the all clear!!

CCBloom · 04/03/2010 11:03

Well the results are in and it seems the vaccine is still present in me so 'no further action required by patient' as the doctor's receptionist informed me this morning. Apparently my results came back the day after they tested so might be worth you calling your surgery to see if yours are back Picklepants. I feel relieved that this a good thing but now need to apply some light pressure on my OH about his smoking so we can get down to business!! No worries about the name mix-up, it's always a hazard on these boards when you're reading so many posts.

Hope your visit to the doctors goes well PinkiePoo

Picklepants · 04/03/2010 09:34

Oh bugger I got it wrong didn't I - it's not PinkiePoo getting rubella checked it's CCBloom Sorry, still getting to grips with the whole message board thingymajig! That's no excuse though - d'oh.

I had my blood test last week so should get my results either tomorrow or Monday. I'm pretty sure I've had the vaccine but was advised to have it checked, so I'm hoping I won't have to abstain. But if I do it would be good to have a buddy CC!

I hope you get some answers from the doc Pinkie!

PinkiePoo · 04/03/2010 08:30

Good Luck CCBLOOM.....keep me informed.

i am off to docs, to get some answers about this stupid irregulur AFS!! Grrrrrrrr!!!

OP posts:
CCBloom · 03/03/2010 22:18

It's results day for me tomorrow Picklepants so I just want to find out one way or another. Have you had your bloodtest yet? When should you know whether you need the rubella? Hopefully we can prop each other up with some encouragement if we both find out we need to abstain for a month!

Picklepants · 03/03/2010 21:46

PinkiePoo I'm also waiting to see if I need the rubella vaccine! Thanks MarineIguana, you put a smile on my face too!

I hope I don't need it though, as a month not TTC will test my self control - I'm ready to be pregnant right now, thankyouverymuch!

PinkiePoo · 03/03/2010 13:51

No not at all - hopefully one day, soon, we will look back at these messages and laugh.

Yeah he is fab, even says if worst came to the very worst, we would adopt, bless him!

PinkiePoo I hope I didn't come across as insensitive when I was talking about your situation, that was the optimist in me trying to reassure you. I can swing between being an optimist and a pessimist most days, in fact most hours of the day. Your OH sounds like he has the right idea and that he is very supportive so that must already give you a good starting point!
