Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

randomimposter · 18/03/2010 20:53

was just having a quick read on my phone, when I read Spottysox message, so have wrestled DP off the laptop...
Just to say it will be fine... can't remember if you've MC before (apologies) but the same thing happened to me... started to bleed awaiting an ERPC. Whilst at the time it felt scary, actually it was fine. Pain very manageable, just a LOT of blood. Just rotated between loo, shower and bath. DS (21 months) was only slightly distracted by mummy in a bright red bath when he was bringing me the Gruffalo to read to him...
Hope your DH gets home soon (and is more use than my DP was ).

Thinking of you.... you will get through this x

Wave to everyone else - all busy on here (and for me in RL) the last few days. WILL catch up and be back soon xxx

ElmMum · 18/03/2010 20:51

I'm not sure how I'm feeling today. Went to the hospital this morning for a second scan and they did a pregnancy test which came back negative, so didn't bother with the scan as mw said the negative = nothing left.

This is obviously good news as it means I've finished mc and I don't need to have any interventions.

But obviously bit sad too because I'm definitely no longer pregnant now (not that I thought I was, but you know...)

So. Now just got to wait for . Usually have a 28/29 day cycle. We'll see.

Hope you're all feeling okay today.

Bigmutha, I've been thinking of you on and off all day. Really sorry about Charlie and just hope you're doing okay.

x to you all.

spottysox · 18/03/2010 20:44

Thanks for the hugs, dh home about 10 hopefully. Kids in bed(not asleep) but out of the way so I can blub without feeling guilty for upsetting them told them i'd seen something sad on the telly. Going to bedd myself now, dosed up on painkillers (not working yet). thanks for being there.

ElmMum · 18/03/2010 20:41

Oh, Spottysox, that's so tough. Can you speak to your DH and get him home earlier? It's good to have someone around even if there's not much they can do.

Really big hug (())

Allthe8s · 18/03/2010 20:37

Hi spottysox - big hugs (((())))) Here if you need anyone - will keep checking in over the next couple of hours.x

HappyGirl1 · 18/03/2010 20:33

oh big big hugs Spottysox

Gi1da · 18/03/2010 20:30

Spottysox, big hug (()) I wish I could do something to help. You WILL get through it ok, and lots of support here.

What time is your DH coming home?

spottysox · 18/03/2010 20:01

TMI ALERT
Right so, I was worried about the erpc tomorrow but my little blighted ovum has decided to give me another choice as i've started to bleed. I'm now in tears as I've got it in my head that he/she knew how worried I was about tomorrow and has done this for me and let go. The scanning mw said this morning that it didn't look like anything would happen any time soon, but it has,
Dh is working late so I'm alone with the kids, no-one in RL knows what's going on so can't call anyone.
I don't want to upset anyone as I know it's raw for all of you but I have no-one else to 'talk' to.

HappyGirl1 · 18/03/2010 19:55

Pollyanna that's tough.. It might just be a phase.. I def think the men find it tough 'performing on point' so to speak.. despite the fact that usually they probably want it all the time.

I just spoke to a friend of mine who was a mid-wife as have been quite worried about these pains I've been having the last few days.. I miscarried on 26th Jan, got a positive OPK last Thursday and I dunno in the back of my mind I was half hoping it could be a potential good sign but she seems to think that it's a sign my period is going to come early this month and will be really long and painful. I guess in one way it's good if it comes early as that means we can ttc again soon and cycle may be regular again but I think we'll both be devastated too.

Has anyone else had darts of pains in their pelvis a few weeks after MC????

Pollyanna · 18/03/2010 18:23

my dh is refusing to swi - it's driving me mad. Last night he went out and was meant to be back while I was awake but stayed out and got really pissed. he just basically refuses to have sex makes me so . I wish he would do it just to please me, but he keeps going on about what a chore it is. and if we do do it (sorry tmi) I have to put all of the effort in. It'll be a bloody miracle if i get pg.

littlemiss72 · 18/03/2010 17:24

Hello all,

Liahgen & HappyGirl know what you mean, I want to enjoy it again but my mind is just on ttc. I feel terrible for DP as I know he's just performing to please me bless him. Although given half a chance he'd be at everyday

I guess we just have to stay positive, it will happen when the time is right. Go get pissed woman and jump on him later!

Waves to bigmuther know you been through it all and some, nice to see you posting though. This is a lovely place to come and share your thoughts so do keep posting when you feel up to it.

I'll join you old birds quietly in the corner to until DP comes home then I'm back to swi

HappyGirl1 · 18/03/2010 16:22

Liahgen - I'm with you about the wanting to enjoy sex again.. it's difficult.. very difficult when it's timed and as much as you try to keep it fun, deep down you both know that you have to do it at the certain time and for a specific reason

liahgen66 · 18/03/2010 16:05

hi all,

I am sooo fed up it's unbelievable, have got the worst headache and just feel really pissed off. Day 8 in the Liahgen house and we shopuld be swi every other day, yesterday was an on day and I couldn't even be bothered to try, that's not gonna get me a bfp is it? Feel like it's never gonna happen, should have had our 20 wks scans now, saw a friend yesterday who's 4 wks ahead of me, glowing and looking forward to her hb. Obviously I'm pleased for her.

I can't seem to get out of this black hole. Gonna go out tonight and get pissed I think, I can feel some cocktails coming on, then jump on dh while I'm up for it, it's so sodding boring, just hoping that this time you've been lucky.

Dh said the other night, that he doesn't want to keep trying forever either, he wants to enjoy sex again and just start getting on with life. He dioesn't want to give up yet but said nor are we getting any younger.

Sorry haven't caught up with everyone's news, I've only come on here to rant cos I can't do it in rl, feel free to ignore my self obsessed moaning.

spottysox · 18/03/2010 16:04

Alba Hippy 'old birds can do it' shall be my mantra from now on.(please let it be true)
Had a scan today and nothing had changed so booked for an erpc tomorrow. I could have waited and gone back in 10days for another scan but they said it could take up to 4 weeks for things to happen naturally. But of course I come home and start googling etc and of course the things I read all happen to be risks and bad outcomes. Tell me it's ok.
Bigmuther Sorry for your loss. Hope the tests give you some answers and a +ve way forward

Cheepz · 18/03/2010 15:48

hello ladies, been a while as am too tired and sick most of the time to do much other than work and look after toddler. not complaining though, spent long enough here trying to still appreciate every day

have been keeping up to speed and had a fe comments

mrsg nice to see you abck and in fine fettle, loving your thread pet scenario and am thinking we need one on the grads to hold hair out of face and provide milk and crackers to all the vommers (there are a few!!)

viv dead jealous of your office eye candy - I work in an IT department where you can imagine eye candy is thin on the ground - now geeks we have in abundance

newbies asking about how soon to try, this time around i got pg straight away after mc, mc in jan, pg in feb - although was early mc and had pretty normal cycle afterwards - used CBFM so was clear on when was optimum SWI.

all those feeling blue. after first mc last aug the first 3 months of trying were grim, always hoping and trying but nothing happening, after that things started to get let crazy, alway disappointing when I found we hadn't made it that cycle but not like in the first ones where its all you think about and counting the days

alba i had bloods after 2nd mc in jan, didn't wait for the results just carried on trying as normal, also got results showing nothing unusual which is a double edged sword, it means there is nothing to blame for the mc - but more importantly it means there is no reason for it to happen again

anyway just dropped in to see you all. seems like there are lots of people at the top end of the list so lets hope for some BFPs soon, thats the best remedy on this thread, nothing like a BFP

love to all

Unbuffy · 18/03/2010 14:11

Afternoon, all

A bit less zen-like today - returned from swimming with dd (knackering) to discover dh covered in plaster dust and new oven not fitting into alloted space - swearing and low blood suger - great combo . However, have eaten leftover cold pizza (no oven, my excuse) and feel better... zen like calm returning... unfortunately bringing inevitable symptom spotting with it. Ah well.

Hugs to Alba and Hippy and everyone feeling a bit blue.

re MrsG and the Thread Pet - wonder if we should start a new thread for Lecherous Ladies TTC. In order to get swi on the menu, like, and get us into the mood. Purely for scientific purposes, of course .

AlbaDeTamble · 18/03/2010 13:41

thank you Allthe8s and hippychick -- don't know what came over me. I am pulling myself together now and realising that actually I'm really lucky! Still a good chance of another baby, and as an old bird (no, don't mind at all Hippy) that is really fab.

You're both very kind, but I really did deserve the slap!

Good luck tomorrow with the consultant Hippy. Passing on the good luck vibes to you...

And trying to remember everyone else's news, there's been a lot of catching up to do from just a day, and lots of mental notes to reply to people, but just got so distracted with the thread pet theme! good to see you back here MrsG

wannabe, happy, I've only been to the gym once in the past year -- feel better about yourselves, you have to be really kind just now and crunchies and crisps most definitely all allowed!

hippychick66 · 18/03/2010 13:27

alba I know what you mean but honestly that is fab news. Everything is fine with your body, it was just not meant to be with that embryo.

I'm off to consultant tomorrow and I hope I get told all is ok as well. Us old bird can still do it!!!

Sorry, hope you don't mind me including you there .

I think when you have had time to let the info sink in you'll be glad there is nothing wrong and you don't have to wait for them to 'fix' it.

I am only just starting to get my head around the fact that my little one just didn't make it - nothing more nothing less. Lots of hippy hugs to you and to everyone feeling down. xxx

Allthe8s · 18/03/2010 13:00

Afternoon all!

Alba your feelings are totally understandable, you kind of think if theres a reason then perhaps it can be fixed, whereas just bad luck can't be fixed. On a positive note all is well which is FAB news On the up now x

Wannabeamum you are doing great with 1 gym visit a week! Just have more swi or swoi!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok today.....anyone with BFP???? I am starting to symptoms spot now, not good I swore I wouldn't do this to myself.

HappyGirl1 · 18/03/2010 12:52

Wannabeamum - same here! only been to gym once this week and sitting here having a bag of crisps in RL! Not good at all..

How many days are you since MC? I'm 21.. so will be doing a preg test next week.. i like you was naively hoping to get preg straight after MC - having random symptoms but could just as easily be symptoms of RTD - well pretty sure they are symptoms of RTD next week

wannabeamum · 18/03/2010 12:28

Eeek just eaten a crunchie.. in RL !! Never going to be slim again at this rate. 1 x gym visit a week does not = slim wannabe.

BIGMUTHER - I am so very sorry for your loss.

I think could be about to make an apperane, ive got a headache, feel teary and ggenerally in a bit of a grump. Im so silly, but was hoping that I would fall PG again straight after the MC but on a positive note I know it means I can start trying properly again soon, assuming this is and not just my body playing mean games.

Hope everyone else is in a better mood than me!xx

AlbaDeTamble · 18/03/2010 11:45

Unbuffy whatever you're taking, please share... I want some zen-like calm too please!

AlbaDeTamble · 18/03/2010 11:43

can someone slap me please....

I managed to get lots of blood tests done to check for cause of mc (1st mc, but I'm getting on a bit, so time most definitely not on my side) had them done 2 weeks ago, and called this morning for results receptionist told me all normal.

I should be happy, jumping about enthusiastically ready to try again... but just feel flat...

I think I wanted to find something, to put me back in control, to be able to 'do something' to make sure it doesn't happen again...

I'll be fine soon, starting to feel a bit positive already that the hormone ones all fine, so I'm not perimenopausal yet at least, so my chances are still good....

it was just bad luck. There's nothing you can do about bad luck, right, just hope it doesn't happen again...?

Morning all xxx

If MrG wants to job-share the thread pet role, there's a guy in my office who I'd like to do it. Don't get me wrong. I love my husband beyond words and feel like the luckiest woman in the world to have him. But officeboy looks like he should be the sixth member of Westlife. Think Irish. Think boyish good looks.
