Hi everyone,
Clareanna that sucks. Basically. I've just written and deleted four different suggestions of how to deal with him, but don't really think any would work. Perhaps basically if you're putting on a bit of a front for him, let it go so he can really see what's going on in your heart. But I don't know. Sending my best though.
Sakura it might help to try to take someone, if not neccessarily you dp. Mine was total crap when we went in for my erpc, I ended up having to fight the dictors (misspelling but I think I'll leave it as that!) to get the proceedure that day (after 7 hours waiting, all prepped etc.) My mother came to the scan the day before, and she was very helpful as she remembered all the questions to ask and stupid facts like 'how old are you' which I know sounds ridiculous not to know the answer to but when you're not thinking straight etc. Also, if you have to drive to the hospital, it would NOT be a good idea to drive home. You could always tell your dp that - that you need him to help transport-wise. That might allow him to be helpful but not to feel pressured. Also if he tells his work 'I have to take my wife for an operation' they might be more understanding too. Hope this helps.
Goodluckbear joining in the hug on the outskirts due to claustrophobia and indigestion (and Lotus position - calm still continues, 'tis MOST peculiar)
Pollyanna, best wishes; again can't think of anything, if it were me i'd be punching him out and then climbing aboard - two birds, one stone. Idea though - have you tried taking advantage of his, ahem, morning position? Too sleepy to argue, won't take too long, and a nice way to wake up (for him) (apparently) - plus you get the goods so to speak.
