i just feel so scared this is all new to me, i dont know anyone who i can ask questions or who has ever had a chemical pregnancy, and its just bad luck it a;ll happend friday night so i cant actually talk to my GP.

xx

MrsGazebo · 21/03/2010 13:47

Oh Mumsie I'm sorry.
To have something taken away so soon after you found out is heartbreaking.
I hope you're getting lots of R.L cuddles.
Be kind to yourself and take one moment at a time.
Expect nothing but don't be suprised by anything, hormones and emotions are cruel sometimes.
It will get easier.
What have you got planned for today?
Take the kids for a walk or have a long bath.
There's a wealth of support and experience on here of Ladies who have been/are were you are now.
Please don't feel like you're alone xx

ElmMum · 21/03/2010 13:26

Bigmutha - do you need to decide right now. Maybe just wait a while and see how you feel?

It's very sunny here today so feeling fairly upbeat. Although I'm eating for England so bang goes the plan to lose half a stone before we start TTC again. Hey ho. Am giving myself a break over it. Eating does cheer me up... !

Hope spring has sprung today where you all are x

mumsie123 · 21/03/2010 13:24

hello, thank you for the welcome.

i just feel very lonely at the moment

MrsGazebo · 21/03/2010 12:40

Hello everybody peeps

Just a quickie till Mr.G gets distracted by football and drops the craptop.

Bigmuther that's a hard one that only you can decide.
Sorry for being useless and not helping in the least.
I have a bag full of clothes and bits (not the same I know) that I have bought in moments of menkulness sanguineness over the past year or so.
They are ontop of the wardrobe in the spare room wrapped up tight.
Occasionally, I bring them down and look at them, it doesn't make me sad anymore as I know that they will eventually have a use.
If I had my way, I'd have a full nursery.
On the other hand , I'm also just a little bit mad

I keep having reoccurring dreams that I some how end up with a baby (not always mine?) and I have nothing.
Totally unprepared.
Analyse that!

Hello and welcome Mumsie and Jules we're a good bunch, if I do say so myself.
Certainly has helped my sanity over the last few months.

JulesAbs · 21/03/2010 11:26

Hello,

I'm just new to the site and trying to find my feet, can anyone point out the obvious and maybe be kind enough to give me a quick explanation of all that goes on? I don't entirely get all the lingo yet.

I'm TTC after having a miscarriage a couple of months before, so far i have been hiding in the background of this site, it really does help to hear that it's just not you that goes through these horrible and trying things.

Thanks

Jules

bigmuther65 · 21/03/2010 10:44

Think i may hold the blubbing record for last night watched Marley&Me on sky eyes still hurt this morning
Have a bit of painful desicion this morning to make after a conversation with DH .When we lost charlie we were in the middle of decorating the spare bedroom as a nursery.Painting it a lovley lemon colour which we will carry on with as it is a nice colour for nursey/sparebedroom so if we do have a baby half the work will be done,But the desision is that we already had a moses basket clothes etc and not sure wether to keep them in there.

:-( had lot's of bleeding today :-(

randomimposter · 20/03/2010 20:56

Barrenbrook I cry at LOTS of films. TV programmes. Songs. Crying is oh so good. Shows you have a heart and can feel.....

Love that bit in Love Actually when they re-create it... Oh gawd, too much SB perhaps. Sadly not OB.... will get meself down to t'Co-op tomorrow ...

barrenbrook · 20/03/2010 20:31

Jollster Good to hear the bleeding has almost stopped. I'd say the resentfulness (sp?) is completely normal and part of the grieving process, close friends are perhaps easier to contend with (although I was v [jealous] of my BF when she announced her pregnancy after no period for 8 months and they weren't even trying!) After what you've been through it's understandable so I say don't feel bad about it and give yourself a pat on the back for being normal

Am about to well up, am watching Titanic and it's the standing on the front of the ship bit. Love this film (barrenbrook bows head in shame)

Oyster Bay's my fave too, yum, Co op had it on offer, hence a full bottle rack in fridge!

randomimposter · 20/03/2010 20:10

Barrenbrook I bloody love Oyster Bay SB. It's probably my number one fave, I can (and have ) drink it like water.... nice to hear from you.

WYG nice to see you back...
mumsie welcome, sorry you're here. Hope you are getting lots of support in RL. A loss is a loss is a loss however early on.

spotty how are you - please let us know.

gaz... ah a fellow retailer huh? Am retired myself... or at least on a long sabbatical...

Sat night smiles to everyone else.

Have nearly stopped bleeding. Have to POAS on Mon to check I'm not pg... durr, I know I'm not pg... although actually I occasionally have to remind myself of it. Had my first resentful thought today; realised someone I know slightly (go to a music class together) is pg (probably 6/7 months or so - I am so unobservant) - her DD is a bit younger than my DS... that's just not fair... Odd how this one "got" me; have close friends who are pg, and obviously see lots of people I don't know who are pg. These have all been fine. But this woman... suddenly I was very . D'ya think this is part of the cycle of grief...?

mumsie123 · 20/03/2010 20:09

The doctor said def wont need any intervention as im 3weeks and 6 days (4 tommorow) so it is classed as a period and the little bean would only be a size of a poppy seed.

Me being miss owrrier i keep trhinking omg what of its a eptopic :-( i wont be able to sleep tonight :,-(

barrenbrook · 20/03/2010 20:05

It'll be over soon enough, I tried to think of it as a cleansing process and your body getting ready for a successful pregnancy, (positive thinking and all that!) Good that it's happening naturally with no need for intervention too. Stay positive and be gentle with yourself.

mumsie123 · 20/03/2010 19:55

crappy crappy time, every time i go to the loo there is more :-( turned kinda pinky brown now, i wish i coukld just jump a month a head, im so scared :-(

barrenbrook · 20/03/2010 19:48

TFLS! (barrenbrook waves) Helloooo, how are you lady?

Mumsie123 Glad to see you made it over, so sorry, again, that you've been having a crappy time, I am sure you will find some solace and support here, the ladies on here have certainly helped me, they are a good bunch

WestYorkshireGirl Welcome, like I said to Mumsie, you'll find plenty of comfort here, it's not a scary thread (like some are, I'm almost too scared to read some conception threads!) and the ladies are lovely. So sorry to hear about your mc, I'm on my first cycle after a chemical pg too. Don't be too hard on yourself, I hope being here means the isolated feeling goes away

More vino anyone?!

WestYorkshireGirl · 20/03/2010 19:05

I've been lurking about and feeling sorry for myself, but have resolved to make more of a concerted effort with this thread as I feel a bit isolated. Our first month of TTC since MC hasn't been successful and I've been really low about it and my AF is very painful again. I think it's normal for things to be different after MC and this is only my 2nd AF. My cycles are about 37 days so I got a bit hopeful...

Anyway, I see I need to give some stats now I am properly trying. I think I know what everything means:
westyorkshiregirl TTC# 1 UCL 37 cycle 2 CD 4

Mumsie123 I'm sorry to hear about your bad few days. It's not good seeing the blood is it? I MC'd at 12 weeks and found all the things that came out really distressing, but the good news is that it does get easier to cope with it all. I found it better to confront the fact I was pg head on as it helped me get over it. Take comfort in each other (and MN!)

mumsie123 · 20/03/2010 18:32

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie on here, found out i was pregnant Wednesday from a first response, got a digital "pregnant" yesterday and then last night started bleeding (red blood) my period was actually due yesterday. today lot's of brown stuff on pad and when wiping (sorry i TMI)

I'm very lucky i have 2 DC, and this was going to be my 3rd.

I actually think i had a bit of shock when i saw the blood last night had a panic attack (i think) or maybe shock. nearly passed out, felt very sick etc, then calmed down called the NHS (it was 9pm) and he scared me saying if i heavily bleed call an ambulance so all night i was freaking thinking i was going to die from bleeding to death.

This morning i called the out of hours doctor as i was petrified i was going to have an eptopic pregnancy or something, and he was so nice and reassured me that it sounded like a "chemical pregnancy" as i havent actually missed a period, not to worry i will just have a normal ish period with extra cramping no need for hospiatl. So i have now calmed down (i'm a very anxious person on AD'S) and just told myself it's just a period the tests were wrong (even though there prob not) i find it easier to pretend it's not happening, anyone else done that?

I'm still scared as this is the first time anything like this has happend and i was very kindly pointed in this derection and told that all you ladies are lovely :-)

thefatladyscreams · 20/03/2010 18:08

Waves at Barrenbrook - just saw your name on the active list so popped in to say hi.

Oyster Bay Sauvingnon Blanc - hummmmm.

barrenbrook · 20/03/2010 17:51

Sakura If I were in your position then I would ask DH. My DH came with me on all but one of the appointments I went to following my first m/c and again this time round. My jellyhead kicks in when I'm in situations like that and he seems to know what to ask for both of us. He does have some uses! I suppose you could tell him when your appointment is and plant a seed so to speak, leave the ball in his court if he wants to come?

Clareanna Don't hide how you really feel from DH. Putting on a brave face a coping to a man = she's fine. I hate to put them all in the same box but fellas do quite often take things as black and white and if you say you're ok, you're ok, unlike our female friends who can see straight through a 'I'm coping and putting on a brave face' face!

Just opened a bottle of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc if anyone wants to join me in a glass or two on this drizzly Saturday night

Gi1da · 20/03/2010 09:39

Morning all, off down to the bottom of the list I go. Glad that RTD is here but it's a crampy one for sure! Was hoping to go and walk the greyhounds today (not mine, at a rehoming place) but not sure if walking in the rain is my kinda thing today with this grinch in my belly. We'll see....

Sakura Wishing you well whatever you decide. I was glad of the company when I went to epu and for us I think coming with me made things a bit more real for dh, otherwise it was stuff just going on with me and with no experiences of hospitals he found it hard for it not just to all feel abstract.

Spottysox keeping an eye out for you and hoping you're doing ok.

A rousing G'Day to everyone else. And a salute to Viv for the TW quote.

sakura28 · 19/03/2010 22:44

Ahh thanks ladies, just having the responses has made me feel better!

Goodluckbear - Thank you, my dp is definately a problem fixing male like u say, I think if he can't physically do anything to make me feel better when I'm upset then he feels bad. Obviously not his fault but like u say, its just how he is. I think there are pros and cons to having him (or someone else) there, I just need to deicde which!

clareanna - thank you. I think the fact that dp will be there and be able to listen/ask q's/ remember things could be a good thing, I may well need that! I think the fact that I dont really know what to expect is making it hard to decide if he should come or not... I wish I knew what is going to happen!

Also, I think my dp rather underestimates the amount I think about mc, I would have been 12 wks last week but if I'd said anything I think he would have wondered what I was on about!! Sorry about the response u got from your dh, big hugs coming your way ((()))

Unbuffy thanks for your input too. Unfortunately my mum is away when I'm at hospital, like u say I think she'd be pretty good at remembering the questions I need to ask and also remembering the answers, haha! And do u know what, I think you're right, it could be good for dp to see what its like heading to the EPU again and just getting an idea of things. So thank you.

Anyway, I am off for a glass of wine and some half price easter egg I picked up earlier! Passing it round in case anyone else is in need

xxx

hippychick66 · 19/03/2010 20:50

Just had an ubber quick flick through and didn't have time to read much but just wanted to say to Bigmuther that I hope you soon feel better.

My two DS's were upset when we lost our baby. I just wanted to let you know that they are dealing with it much better now. Kids are very resilient and they will feel better soon. Wait for your period to return and then have a think with DH about whether to try again - your hormones and emotions are all over the place still. Big Hippy Hug. xx

Unbuffy · 19/03/2010 19:33

Sakura just reread my post - makes it sound like you are going in for an op. Brian letting me down again. I meant, tell small fibs to his work if neccessary, and you're bound to get emotional which is not a good time to be alone, especially travelling. And it might even help your dp to see what you have to go through in hospital - if nothing else you won't have to relive it to him afterwards. Talk to him about it and see what he says, too.

Appologies for repeated posts, not really on the ball. Calm, but not collected! Hopefully that's it now...
