[whispers] Alba that's fabby news! Our twins at last perhaps?! Hope this is the start of another run like the huge one in Feb!

Allthe8s hope you're feeling a bit brighter today my deary. Was thinking of you last night (through madness and chocolate)

Congrats tfls - that's so positive and such good news. Hope the rest of it goes the same boringly well for you! (I do hope that makes sense. If not, I hope you work out what i'm blethering about).

Waves to everybody else, and fingers all crossed for littlemiss

xx

Littlemiss 72 Thanks for updating my stats on list, good luck today.

AlbaDeTamble- thats fantastic news, brightened up my day.

Thefatladyscreams- great that your 12 week scan went well, there is always happy times round the corner after heartache, keep popping in with your updates.

Hope everyone has a good day.

thefatladyscreams · 23/03/2010 10:20

[TFLS whispers in a very excited voice] - Alba that is fantastic news. Get thee to a shop and get that clearblue. I got my BFP on an internet cheapie and spent half an appointment trying to convince my acupuncturist that it didn't count. She kept staring at me wisely and saying "a positive is a positive"..... It's very rare to get a false positive.......

Little bit of good news from me - I had my 12 week scan yesterday and it went well. Baby looked fine and my nuchal measurement was great. Reason for posting is that I remember being in floods of tears just before New Year that I was at the end of the road. I'm 41 and trying for #1 so maybe there is hope for us oldies!

Hope the sunshine is with you wherever you are.

Will be popping back in for Alba's update!

Goodluckbear · 23/03/2010 10:13

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!! Alba yay!! OMG - BFP heaven.

Okay, okay, get another one and do it again at the weekend so we can start shouting the congrats. Woo hoo Alba!!

Happy days are here!!

xxxxxxxxxxx

AlbaDeTamble · 23/03/2010 10:00

you wanted some happy news girls... I have some, but only whispering it very quietly as the line was very feint.... (but just dark enough for DH to agree the skiing may be off)

please don't move me down to the grads just yet, it was only a 10miu internet cheapy stick, will confirm with an expensive clearblue at the weekend, if I get that far.....

Allthe8s · 23/03/2010 08:24

Morning all, hope you are all well and wishing you a bright and sunny day.....good luck littlemiss....

Morning Girls, Up early eagerly waiting to see the doctor today! Many thanks for your kind wishes. I will of course report back once I've been well and truly fondled

In floods of tears last night watching 'married, single, other' anyone been watching ? good god I don't know where the tears came from but it felt good to have a cry though.

I think we are all at the boobie squeezing, I'm not sure I even notice if I'm doing it now! unbuffy hang on hunni, hope it's good news for you.

Ooh Alice MrsG ya lucky duck, I keep mentioning seeing that film but the subject gets changed rather quickly. Bet it great in 3D enjoy!

Welcome to the newbies, sorry you have found yourselves here we do however offer the best support on the world wide web and often share virtual cakes, wine and tears.

It's just all ups and downs, isn't it. Hope you've all had a good evening.

I've been cheered up by a slab of cake from a friend and the final of America's Top Model. Small things...

Night night ladies

Allthe8s · 22/03/2010 21:31

urd glad you had a good weekend away despite RTD and Unbuffy pass the chilli chocs!

Night night xx

Allthe8s · 22/03/2010 21:29

Sorry westyorks for confuzzing you.... I have fuzz head today, bad day....I meant as Jollster said...cycle number - how many cycles have you been trying

xx

Unbuffy · 22/03/2010 21:14

Experimenkul chocs still a-gogo - come on, they are really nice really. It's just that I haven't made them before and they're slightly funny shapes... not rude or anything, just a bit squidged. Chilli and chocolate are good together, promise!! Ah well, all the more for me then . Here's the wine for you instead [hands out vast bottle].

MrsG I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo that you are going to see Alice in Wonderland. Our local cinema is very, well, local (50 seats max) and won't be getting it for months. And the next closest is an hour's drive away. Last time I went to the cinema was to see The Dark Knight Returns or whatever the Batman film with the Joker in was called. [self-pitying emoticon] There are down sides to living in the middle of (very beautiful) nowhere... Welsh tv (we do not live in Wales!), no takeaways, closest hospital/big cinema/shopping centre/any supermarket that's not Tesco/train station (except steam) an hour away, etc. Ah well. There's some lovely walks, though. Oh, and lots of sheep when you need them.

[buffy returns head into bottle and backs out of the door waving groggily]

night night all x

urd · 22/03/2010 20:33

Hi all, just got back from a great weekend away with DH,DD and DS. Wow I have missed so much will catch up tomorrow. Welcome to any new people and hope all those that are suffering have a better day tomorrow.
My lovely brother bought us this weekend away together to cheer us up after the mc which was really kind of him. Anyway I thought go for it, new sexy undies etc, etc, make an effort look forward and not in the past. You know what I mean "if this vans a rocking, don't come a knocking" (well thats easier said than done with DS/DD in other room).
That was the plan- Well woke up Saturday morning and there it was RTD, exactly 4 weeks on from ERPC. Have had two days really heavy was everyone else like that? I must admit it does bring it all back to you like some people have said on here. I am pleased though because hopefully things might be returning to normal a bit. Poor DH he was looking forward to some caravan capers but he was also really pleased because he too said we can ttc again now.
So my stats are now
TTC#3 UCL28 CYCLE1 CD3

Brought back some lovely fudge, anyone fancy a bit?
TAKE CARE.X

WestYorkshireGirl · 22/03/2010 20:26

Allthe8s You can tell I am not an old pro at MN as it would appear I don't understand the stats thing and have given false stats !

Stats are
ttc# (trying to concieve number....) I got that right
UCL (Usual Cycle Length) This too
cycle (1 is from first day of your period) - I thought this was which cycle you are on in terms of TTC - how is this different to -
CD (Cycle Day)

Oh dear, I am all confused (but then it is a Monday)!

WestYorkshireGirl · 22/03/2010 20:21

Goodluckbear Hello again. It's been a while. How odd that we seem to follow each other, but reassuring too! I have found periods really awful since - maybe it just reminds you of what you lost and it's odd that after 12 weeks I can still get quite affected by it all. I was fairly sure we had missed the window of opportunity in the first month of TTC, but you still get hopeful and I did do an early test at 30 days as before it took me 4 tests and until day 39 to get a BFP. It's crap having long cycles as it just seems to take ages. Anyway, have started this month well !

Mumsie123 Glad you have been able to get in touch with the Drs today - any more news? How are you feeling?

JulesAbs - Hello!

There was lots of talk of testing today - did everyone's resolve hold out?

Allthe8s · 22/03/2010 20:16

Thanks bunny just noticed your post.....

JulesAbs · 22/03/2010 20:15

Thank you jollster, it all makes perfect sense now!

Allthe8s · 22/03/2010 20:14

Thanks for all your messages today ladies, you have really helped xx I have dusted myself down and am feeling better now! Just need to decide if we are going to do as we are told as avoid ttc until after my surgery or just go with our hearts.....at least I have a little time to think it over now.......

Clareanna still laughing at the boob comment, that cheered me up no end...I must look like I am chewing the cud trying to see if I can still taste metal (which I can...?)

Ok......going to try and name check tonight as I have been gone for yonks..

Hi Jules

Stats are
ttc# (trying to concieve number....)
UCL (Usual Cycle Length)
cycle (1 is from first day of your period)
CD (Cycle Day)

Does that make sense??? Shout if you need anything else translated.......oh RTD is Red Tide of Doom (period)....we decided AF (Aunt Flo) was crap and horrid and eurgh!

Clareanna did you test????? Unbuffy hang in there with the POAS! Littlemiss on cycle 2 I had really bad ov pain which I mistook for period pain....I was doubled up on sofa with hot water bottle.....how you doing mumsie?? Nice to see you back Westyorkshiregirl me and you are in the same boat I think....Bigmuther I hope the last few days have been a little better for you, it took me a long time to take the cot down after we lost dd2 but I was so relieved after we did, looking at it everyday was doing me no good, we decorated the room to make a playroom instead and now it's all cheery and an extra space for dd1 and my mindees. How are you feeling now Elmmum? I was the same yesterday think it is the stress of everything you know? Hello to everyone else...GLB, MrsGazebo Gi1daand anyone I have missed!!!!!

x

MrsGazebo · 22/03/2010 20:11

Howdy
Any Cracklepops or "experimenkul" choccy left?

Sqeeeeeeeeeeezzzzeeeeeee to all who are feeling pariculary trousers today.
I've brought Toffee Crips Cookies, Crisps and dips and 96 bottles of Desperado's to share.

ElmMum hoping your feeling better now.

SpottyGlad to hear that things are moving along for you, well, not glad ,you know what I mean

BunnyBaby · 22/03/2010 20:09

allthe8's really sorry you're having a tough time. When I feel supersad I imagine what my lost DS2 would be doing to cheer me up. Usually he's cuddling me, and I'm cuddling him. Some may not agree, but I think these pure and precious souls stay around us and look out for us. It gives me comfort but may not be everyone's cup of tea. Big cuddles to you. I also got rememberance service letter but ours is in May.

unbuffy I'm another boob squeezer and am sure I'm peeing more and skin is better (mega symptom speculator)... Go on... You know you want to do it...

randomimposter · 22/03/2010 20:04

PS forgot... barrenbrook ONE... JUST ONE. ONE measly bottle of Oyster Bay you left me at the Co-op.... some mate you are... lush....

randomimposter · 22/03/2010 20:01

Hey Jules
TTC#? trying to conceive number 2 in my case.... this does not take into account any lost babies
UCL usual cycle length
cycle number - how many cycles have you been trying
CD? With 1 being the first day of your period (aka RTD RedTideofDoom)

Hope that helps

Hi to all.

unbuffy calm and serene? SOOOO last year darling....

And who was I chatting on here a couple of weeks ago about Married Single Other? Well blow me down, who do DS and I run into in the playground today? Only Dean Lennox Kelly.... well I never...

Off for Enders... tarra xx

JulesAbs · 22/03/2010 19:22

Can someone explain the stats for me please

Standing out as a newbie!

jules

Unbuffy · 22/03/2010 19:01

All the best allthe8s - it can only get better from here on. Sorry to hear you're feeling it, all that at once sucks. And don't forget it's YOU that's having a tough time at the moment as well, y'know, so don't go away or we won't be able to look after you!

Clareanna every time I sit down at the computer i start groping me boobs. (well, it's something to do ) But that's in private, not in front of 60 million Americans... Testing is also occupying my thoughts heavily, can't decide whether/when to do the deed. But dh has gone to visit his parents until tomorrow lunchtime, and I said i wouldn't while he's away, so that pretty much rules out right now, first wee tomorrow, etc. Sooooo. Do I wait for the witch and keep getting hopes up, or do I just do it, dammit. Hmmm...

Littlemiss good luck for tomorrow

Mumsie hope you're feeling a wee bit better (vain hope I know) but sorry to see you here after the testing threads. 'Tis not the right way around. Good luck at the epu

Spotty CAN WE HAVE A HUSSEYKITTEN pleeease! Kittens to cuddle might be just what this thread needs. And virtual cats can't possibly make me sneeze, can they? (I love cats. My sinusesesses (sorry word went weird) unfortunately don't.)

Alba how are skiiing plans going ?

Hi Barrenbrook, Gilda, GLB, MrsG and anyone else who knows me (as they say) [frantic waving and pointing at self in loony fashion emoticon, think Catherine Tate on amphetamines]

BTW in case you hadn't noticed, I am no longer calm and serene. Much more back to my menkul self - somewhere between panic and something else i haven't quite worked out yet. fear? misery just in case? excitement? basically just plain old

AlbaDeTamble · 22/03/2010 17:45

But we're as hopeful for good news as you are Clareanna... Maybe HPTs less hideously expensive over there so testing would be a bargain ?

sorry to see you both at the start of the rollercoaster again gi1da and allthe8s

I sat through a meeting this afternoon trying to figure out if I felt sick from too many cakes, pmt or early pregnancy, mustn't get my hopes up!

As for the ov pain littlemiss, some people get it every month and others say your cycle can change completely after any pregnancy... I was getting cramps and backache a few days after when I think should have been ov. What's that about?

Thanks for taking the cracklepops, a few less of those and I'll stop feeling nauseous and getting excited!
