Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

Crikey amazed I managed that on an iPod - bloody tiny screen!

Just realised I think I have gone a little mad. I have an awful cold and am just realising how absolutely desperate I am to SWI on the chance that I can be pg again. Have been far too ill and snottily unattractive to entice dp over the last couple of days and am now feeling desolate that am missing potential window. (God before this all happened I didn't even think about such things). Just feel that once af comes it really is all over. I don't think I've come to terms with the mc yet, as though if I can avoid af it's like the mc never happened and I am still pg like I should be. Does that make any sense? I'm just setting myself up for a kick in the teeth in about a fortnight aren't I?

Apols for being totally negligent at name checking, I have an awful memory and a miniscule screen, keep worrying about missing some of you so instead I miss all of you! Loving the tiramisu tradition as well as little brian. Wishing everyone a peaceful Saturday.

Really sorry Jollster I know words can't really help but thinking of you.

Af got me yesterday so can someone please put me at the bottom of the list.

Being on this thread is both good and bad - good because we all understand and haven't given up - bad because of what we have all been through and it's so sad and frustrating.

Gi1da · 27/02/2010 08:11

So very sorry to hear that Jollster. I hope you have loads of love and support around you.

randomimposter · 27/02/2010 07:36

Hi all
Jumping on to update list - grabbed Thursday's, have done cycle days but have not yet read all the posts in between in case there is more news?

Sadly learned yesterday that I have had a second MMC, should have been 11 weeks, baby stopped growing at 9. Waiting for an ERPC. Am doing ok this morning, but know it will be a bumpy road in the next few weeks (and longer!) So have deleted myself from BFP list.

Will catch up on all the comings and goings - see you all later.

Morning all, looks like i missed out on last nights wine and cake

Welcome to redandyellow so sorry you have found yourself here. On the positive side we're an nice bunch of girls and always up for hand holding, wine swigging and chocolate sharing.

CD 23 after erpc, the count down begins to my 1st period as my usual cycle length is 28 days. plenty of SWI been going on however not holding out too much hope this month would be nice just to get back to normal.

Felt a bit down at work yesterday, two invites for dinner both from pregnant ladies who are having their last day in the office. I declined both as I just cant sit through the oooh and aahhh's right now. No malice it's just too soon iyswim.

Up early, off to collect my engagement ring today! Also heading off to the biggest primark in London for a good old browse through..i could be gone some time

Have a lovely weekend all x x x

clareanna · 26/02/2010 21:22

Hi redandyellow- sorry to hear your news and that you've found yourself here...
The Tww is horrid- fingers crossed for you
(passes you some tiramisu)

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 26/02/2010 20:56

Hello all. I had an early miscarriage two weeks ago when I was 5 and a half weeks. I have PCOS and it is the first time I had conceived after a long period of trying.

We are trying again straight away so I am now in the TWW and think I am going to be hit hard if it isn't our month but taking each day at a time.

clareanna · 26/02/2010 20:54

alba my pmt was totally bonkers- hope you feel more settled soon

allthe8s am also having mad first AF- so far 10 days of spotting or bleeding- argh - understand how you're feeling. Am personally now doubting my chances this month (eats more tiramisu)

liah did you know on predictive txt on iphone your name comes up as lush?! Congrats to your couple- a new baby is always a joy, and should be celebrated I reckon!

Am on cold train home and person next to me listening to irritating music- anyone want to keep me company?!

Unbuffy · 26/02/2010 20:34

Agree about the Corrie thing. On the way to scan (when we found out) was listening to the Archers (My mother was driving. Not my fault) and there was a woman talking about having an abortion the next day. Next day was my erpc as it turned out. never trust fictional characters and thier pretend lives.

No wine still (it doesn't materialise when you wish, apparently) but have found some guinness if anyone's interested?

Have a feeling i'm stuck with Brian now

AlbaDeTamble · 26/02/2010 20:28

oooh, wine, yes please

unbuffy I'm discovering what you mean about the pmt... it's here with a vengeance, now I know why I was quite so upset yesterday. pmt gives me waves of nausea too, cruelly imitating pg symptoms when I know there's no chance.

Still, have survived a week back at work, AF should arrive soon now, so maybe before too very long my sanity may return??? Happy weekend all. Off to get sloshed

waves to everyone

liahgen66 · 26/02/2010 20:27

hippy step away from Coronation st, not good news for Backy

hippychick66 · 26/02/2010 20:26

liaghen crossed with you again - how do we do that - psychic or something.

Thanks for sharing about your work, it does sound wonderful.

Here's the red wine 9passes a glass) - enjoy - you've earned it!

xxx

liahgen66 · 26/02/2010 20:26

clear Ooh i like that idea, have asked my italian friend if it's true but i don;t care if it's not, pass it over.

hmmm

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 26/02/2010 20:24

Yum Yum Yum - I've eaten my portion - hope it works. Thanks clareanna. Have some wine, I've only got red but allthe8's may have white.

I'm logging off now to watch the second Coronation Street - that Becky is bugging me cos she's 2 weeks behind me in her 'mythical' pregnancy and I hate her cos she's still preg - yes ladies I DO know it's not real!!!

Bye for now. I can feel the tiramisu working already

liahgen66 · 26/02/2010 20:22

buffy i too like the idea of a little brian

Gosh allthe8's that's a bloody long time can see why you are completely fed up of it.

I'll have a small red if I may, didn't sleep today. It's ok, i do sleep depravation well really, there are some benefits to a poor sleeper, dd3 didn't reliably sleep through till gone 18 mths i'd say.

Re my doula work, I did cancel the lady that was due then as i had my mmc and contemplated passing my others to colleagues but thing is as a doula you become so close to your families and protective that I want to see it through till the end. The lady today I've known 2 yrs now as she booked me for her 1st child in 2008, This is their last child and they are a wonderful wonderful couple. It meant the world to me to share it with them. There wasn't even a pang about me to be honest, it's not about me, it's all about them, and you just get lost in the moment. It's a fab fab job.

WE are still going with the sex every other dat theory and still no post erpc period so waiting, am booking docs for next week if no sign as they said 4-6 wks and at my age i can't really afford to leave it too long if there's a problem.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, my 6 yr ds is dancing in a student showcase on sunday to a routine he has completely choreographed himself so am really looking forward to that. His godmother is comng to watch and i haven't seen her since xmas so am really looking forward to seeing her too, she was my best friend before we moved to kent and now we don't see each other as much as we'd like.

OP posts:
clareanna · 26/02/2010 20:20

Evening all
have just heard something which may not be true, but wanted to share it anyway...
Apparently in Italy it's tradition for mother inlaws to serve daughter in laws tiramisu when they want them to get pregnant.
So... Big wedges of tiramisu all round!!!!

Allthe8s · 26/02/2010 20:08

I am here with the wine, happy to share I am now on day 12 of AF - getting a little fed up now so have poured myself a large glass.

I am too knackered to the point my eyes hurt to name check tonight sorry ladies, DD1 was up last night all night crying with earache and trip to the drs confirmed infection in both She is better this eve so hopefully she will sleep better.

I hope you all have a relaxing Friday night and I am holding the bottle up for anyone who wants it........cheers ladies xxxxxx

hippychick66 · 26/02/2010 20:04

Red wine for you and Brian (just a little glass for him cos he's only ickle.)

Yeah i know what you mean. I know that my hormones are kicking in cos my endo pain has started up - which is good in one way cos it means my body is getting geared up to try again. Now I just need my brain (see how it's spelt) to catch up.

In about a week I'll be on here shouting about everything being crap again and you'll know that the pmt has struck.

I have 2 bottles of wine - anyone want a top up???

Special hello to anyone whose just recently experienced the hell that is MC.

Unbuffy · 26/02/2010 19:42

I coped relatively well until pmt set in (about a week ago). Then everything went crap again. Not trying to bring you down - just warning you of potential evil hormones waiting in the wings. Frankly, any coping is good coping.

Brian says hi too.

Damn, we've run out of wine. Anybody? Can swop for choc chip cookies...

hippychick66 · 26/02/2010 19:36

unbuffy Have a vision now of you with a little sensible man standing next to you saying, in a squeeky voice, "Hi, I'm Brian!"

I know what you mean about name checking, this is the busies thread I've ever tried to keep up with. Just goes to show how bloody common these awful MC's are, I guess.

I think it does get easier, I found out 2 weeks ago that our little one had no heartbeat and had to have the eprc on the following tuesday. I'd say I'm defo coping better now than this time last week.

Hang on in there everyone - it's the week-end [half-arsed smile].

Unbuffy · 26/02/2010 18:50

brain. . told ya.

Unbuffy · 26/02/2010 18:50

Hi Urd would love to say it gets better - apparently it does - at the moment the only consolation i can give is it gets easier and the tearful days are not so hard to deal with.

Liahgen that sounds wonderful, although i imagine hard for you right now - especially with your history as outlined which i have to say sucks for you. You must be an especially brave and kind lady, i think.

Hi to everybody else, namechecking is getting waaaay to complicated and my ickle brian might explode! Hope you're all feeling a bit better today - roll on the weekend.

hippychick66 · 26/02/2010 15:52

urd I think the tearful days are inevitable. YOU are allowed to feel this awful sadness. I say just go with it - don't hold back. Hope you feel better soon.

Didn't go to the school to do pick up so no shortbread teddies today - sorry to all. Expect someone else will bring you something nice soon.

shiny I'm 43 too. We'll get there together - ok?

Well done liahgen. I hope it wasn't too awful for you to see the baby being born. Sounds like it was more uplifting than sad.
Will have to chat one day about how you became a doula - it sounds like a fab job. But I'll let you have a sleep first .

urd · 26/02/2010 14:24

Hi all, having a tearful day today, seem to cry at everything only early days yet I suppose. Going to London tomorrow for day with hubby and kids so hopefully will lift the spirits. Take good care all.xx
