Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

Unbuffy · 27/02/2010 19:11

Definately wine o'clock, methinks... Red is fine, i have a bottle too

clareanna · 27/02/2010 19:09

Fir? For... Promise I haven't even opened the wine yet...

Waves at newbies...

clareanna · 27/02/2010 19:07

Stoopid iPhone- apologies fir random dbl post - not sure how that happened?! This is wh. I don't feel I can be trusted with the stats list!

clareanna · 27/02/2010 19:06

Unbuffy- yes it was me- first af just like that too- 10 days in total on and off - hope it doesn't affect ov this month!

Is it wine o'clock yet?! I've got a nice bottle of red?

Unbuffy · 27/02/2010 19:04

deja vu clareanna

SarahMumtoAlex · 27/02/2010 19:04

Wow the thread is so busy its tricky to namecheck everyone, but a sad welcome to newbies. Also jollster sorry to hear your heartbreaking news. Do be gentle with yourself.

I'm feeling lucky on the topic DH at the moment, I think he's really begining to understand some of what ttc after mc is like. We're having our kitchen rebuilt with inevitable delays. And he said today that he thought it was particularly hard for me because it being upside down could make me feel like the house isn't ready to welcome another. Made me cry so it must have some truth. I was just pleased that he understood how it pervades the whole of life.

clareanna · 27/02/2010 19:01

Am now laughing at general loopiness and how scared dh looked!!!
Had similar to your friend after San tropez tan and had forgetten when I got dressed ( leaving paper pants on) that my knickers were rolled up In the leg of my jeans... Cut to 10 mins later walking down busy road when I felt something fall out of my trouser keg onto the floor... The man behind me kindly picked the brown fake tan streaked pants up for me- oh the shame!!! Made me laugh just remembering

Pollybloodyanna · 27/02/2010 18:49

I'm 39 too floweringcurrant - dh is in denial about how difficult it could be to get pg/stay pg.

Unbuffy · 27/02/2010 18:39

Welcome ladies, this is a good place to be - to rant, drink tea and ask advice.

On which subject (great segue there) someone mentioned a little way back about weird af post m/c - Clareanna possibly I think? Opinions please - 2 days of af, then 2 days off, then on again today (typical - about 1/2 an hour after poas as instructed by confused dh - bfn of course. I told him so!) very odd and unlike usual (prepare for tmi here) which is fairly light and goes on for a week or so. Mind you it's all been a bit haywire since bf dd. Just not THIS weird.

btw G1lda, my mum swears that she concieved most of us (there are 4...) while with streaming cold (or hangover in one case) and also while v v drunk (as well as poorly - my brother. He LOVED being told that one boozy evening!) So bung the Olbas on the vaporiser, get the room steamy and good luck!!! Your dh won't know what's hit him...

Moofold · 27/02/2010 17:42

Hello everyone -- and welcome redandyellow and floweringcurrant. Sorry you have to be here too but hope it helps you get through this.

Jollster, that is really heartbreaking news. Can't believe you are going through that again so soon. Take care of yourself.

Liahgen, hats off to you with your profession and coping so well. I have been busily congratulating myself for managing to visit a friend and her newborn. I even held him without falling apart (until later in secret at least).

I am contemplating doing a pg test. Have been getting cramps for over a week now and still no AF. I feel in my heart that it is not possible - particularly since I haven't detected ovulation or a temp increase! However, while I am continuing to enjoy so much red wine perhaps I will do one to be on the safe side. Then feel crushed anyway when it iis negative!

I am lucky with DH, he hasn't complained ever about SWI at the right times. Good luck to you ladies getting round that one!

Have a good evening everyone x

floweringcurrant · 27/02/2010 16:03

Polly thanks for that. Argh its very upsetting I know exactly what you mean ... I don't go there with the whole fertile days thing either but because I have become so hyper aware of them, I feel like I am being furtive. I'm 39 and I wish he would realise that he is not bleedin' Peter Pan either. Its a stresser leaving it to fate like this. I hope you're chances are good this cycle.

Pollybloodyanna · 27/02/2010 15:22

and welcome to the thread floweringcurrant!

Pollybloodyanna · 27/02/2010 15:22

floweringcurrant my dh is just like that, and was also for the baby we just lost. i can't even tell him if it is a fertile time as he then feels "under pressure". He definitely won't shag on a timetable, and this week has been too tired, had a sore throat, and a bad back. It really pisses me off tbh - he has made a decision on his own that he is not going to ttc and there has been no discussion about it.

I don't want to just "see how it goes" and shag when I feel like it and anyway his attitude puts me right off him anyway. grr

Sorry about the rant! You're not alone . (I keep telling him about more amenable dps on here who do swi, but he only wants to swoi)

floweringcurrant · 27/02/2010 14:43

Hi all,
Need some company and this is such a lovely thread, can somebody add me to it please?
Had a m/c last April (fools day)at 11.5 weeks.
Since then have been trying off and on but timing has been pants. OH is happy not to use contraception but its very tricky getting him to take a more targeted approach. Anyone else find that? Desperately hoping it was better this month. My stats are TTC no.1 / UCL 28 / CD17.
Good luck to everyone x

Very best wishes jollster and (((())))

Clareanna hope you've found your way out by now! It's funny how the littlest things can drive you to tears...

Gi1da · 27/02/2010 13:14

Oh dear clareanna just take a very deep breath and walk out with your head held high. Poor thing! Cake and tea for you immediately!

Spare a thought for my poor dear friend who had a moment of public shame this week. Standing in a cafe/deli queue at busy lunchtime and tutting from impatience. Looks at woman behind to share a moment of god how long is this taking. Woman behind looks a bit strained and pointedly looks down at floor. Friend looks down to see that her slip has fallen right down and is hanging around her ankles. Fuck. Pretends aloofness and casually steps out if it, reaches down, picks up and carefully folds before placing in handbag. Move along nothing to see here. Endures further wait till gets to cash desk. Chap at till says "so what've you got there love?". Friend suddenly thinks he must have seen her put something in bag and has shoplifted so completely loses cool, gets slip out of handbag in a fluster trying to explain that her underwear simply misfired and it's been one of those days, and she doesn't normally wear a slip but last time she wore this skirt someone told her it was a bit seethrough and and and blither blither etc. Poor chap goes bright red and says "er no, I just meant what did you have on your tray.."

Muser thank you for wise words re ttc right after mc. I know it makes sense. Will do my best to take to heart. Pollybloodyanna you too. Gonna be tough though, sorry to hear you are going through this too. Guess that kind of makes us what-the-fuckbuddies?

Muser · 27/02/2010 12:30

clareanna deep breaths. You will be fine. Some deep breaths, then go back out, have a cup of tea and go home. Maybe buy yourself something indulgent on the way home.

Pollybloodyanna I know how it feels to think only another pregnancy can solve things. But please don't pin too much on that. It might help, but you might also end up very scared about how the new pregnancy progresses and it can bring its own problems.

My enforced ban on trying again is actually really helping me deal with things properly this time, rather than just rushing on to try again as I did last time. Not that I think you shouldn't try again straight away, just don't think it will be a cure all.

Pollybloodyanna · 27/02/2010 12:18

Jollster I'm really sorry too (I think we spoke on another thread). That is such a shitty thing to happen.

Gi1da I think I am feeling the same as you - thinking that only another pg can erase the mc for me. I am also desperately swi although I am still in the wtf cycle and have no idea if I am even ovulating. dh is not being at all supportive about the whole thing - told me off for feeling sorry for myself this morning.

hope everyone has good weekends anyway.

clareanna · 27/02/2010 12:16

Jollster- so sorry- can't imagine how you are feeling, what awful news

I am currently hiding in a changing room having had a total panic attack. Shopping with hungry toddler, too many bags and no pushchair- (how stupid?!) in busy cafe, dh turned up and disappeared to get a table, toddler threw massive tantrum on floor, I dropped my tray AND NO ONE HELPED. Just lobbed ds at dh and had to make a run from it before I started howling . Normally this is the sort of situation I take in my stride and find funny/ easy. Now I'm hiding in a cubicle typing this in an attempt to sort my brian (!) out and calm down.
(wipes tears away, deep breaths...)
am clearly not right at the moment

Muser · 27/02/2010 12:10

I'm really sorry to hear your news jollster. Such a sad thing to have happened again. Thinking of you.

MrsGazebo · 27/02/2010 10:36

Jollster honey,
I'm so sorry you are going through this again.
It is shite beyond believe.
Thinking of you xx

liahgen66 · 27/02/2010 09:44

Oh jollster that's shit, I am so so sorry.
