Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

Evening all- popping on late tonight - can't sleep. barrenbrook (whispers) wonderful news- fingers crossed for you! Love a bfp!!
Am am recovered from my mad moment at the weekend and feeling quite sane again...
Better try to sleep now - wave to all the newbies x

lauraloo09 · 02/03/2010 22:18

barrenbrook congrats on the BFP sending sticky sticky vibes your way!

Will be back on tomorrow to catch up with everyone else just back from Karate and i'm sore lol

Moofold · 02/03/2010 21:06

Evening everyone - so many posts lasts few days, glad to see everyone is feeling a bit better these days.

Barrenbrook - congratulations to you, fab news that everyone has been looking forward to.

Jollster - that's terrible keeping you waiting for ERPC so long, I felt aggrieved at having to wait 5 days. I found out about MMC at my 12 week scan and then had mixed emotions about wanting the ERPC as quickly as possible to move on, coupled with guilt about wanting to expel my baby. Hope you are coping, its bad enough without having a wait imposed on you.

Liahgen - post ERPC AF arrived 5 weeks later but was very light and only 2-3 days long. Its this cycle I'm having a worse WTF situation with!!

Viv - do it, do it! When I tested in Oct I got a BFP 11 or 12 days after ovulation. Go for it!

On a personal note, I had a little faint second line on the OPK dipstick today which is encouraging. I am hoping for a stronger one tomorrow but will be chancing it anyway . It has only taken 43 days to get a sniffter of OV FFS!

floweringcurrant · 02/03/2010 20:23

Evening All!
Just wanted to thank you all for the warm welcome. What a cosy place this is.
Huge congrats to Barrenbrooks.
Poly - don't worry about the weight, I had the same thing it took quite a while but you gotta be gentle with yourself.
My little sister has just been showing me her bump today - not at all in an insensitive way and I'm delighted for her but its sooooo hard to be left behind. We miscarried in the same week as each other last year (she at 6 weeks me at 12). Shes now in her third tri after first round of clomid and she is sailing through so far...
Am reaching for the wine...

Cheepz · 02/03/2010 20:23

for all those wondering, after first mc started trying right away and it took 7 cycles, after second mc got pregnant before had even had a period, I think theres no rhyme or reason, but I can say I was way more chilled out after second mc emotionally and I think it helped. After the first I was so shocked and emotionally bereft and desparate I was totally tense. After the second I was so relieved that after 7 cycles I had been able to get pregnant I was more in the mind frame of 'it happened then so it can happen again' ... don't envy the rollercoaster but if it happened again I would be trying to be as positive as possible because I am sure that is half the battle. xx

littlemiss72 · 02/03/2010 20:11

Wooohoo some lovely news! Big congrats to barrenbrook great to have some nice news today.

Hello to bunny I recall you being on the thread with us, sorry you have found yourself here however we are a very supportive bunch! Welcome to newbies, again but do join in and we will do our best to keep your spirits up literally

I have cramps/twinges, god help me for thinking what might be, I know I'm heading for a fall here! I keep telling myself there's no way I could be so soon AF due any day.

Been back in the gym again today body pump class for my sins, 07.30 am running club tomorrow morning I must be going mad.

Know what you mean about the extra pounds polly they crept up on me to being pregnant over christmas. I do however feel better for at least trying to lose a little.

Hope your all well, looking forward to some more BFP during March

Love to all x x x

hippychick66 · 02/03/2010 20:10

polly Yes I get what you mean about being close to DH. We've had some intimate moments but no actual shagging yet. I think it will be fine soon though.

I got a bit rounder about the middle. I had to send a pair of maternity jeans back to next (unworn)and that was horrid as I'd been really looking forward to wearing them. I did keep a really nice top for next time though (fingers crossed.) Just couldn't bare to let it go back.

Pollybloodyanna · 02/03/2010 20:03

congrats barrenbrook!

That's interesting about the weight loss thefatladyscreams I have been desperately trying to lose the weight I put on (I had already outgrown my clothes), but just haven't managed it at all. I no longer look pg, but still can't fit into my clothes. v depressing when there's no baby to compensate.

I haven't had a period yet and am wondering whether after that I will be able to lose some weight.

Hippy I started swi straight away too (dh was swoi though!). I was surprised that it wasn't more difficult for me, but like others it was nice to feel close to dh.

jollster glad you had a nice time on the beach today - I was working in London . I also nearly went private this time as the wait was interminable at the royal sussex. And then the private consultant had to take some leave at short notice so i was left waiting anyway.

Cheepz · 02/03/2010 19:48

OOOOh barrenb you dark horse you!! big quiet congrats, Digi is less sensitive than Boots so that might be why, I waited 3 weeks late to do a Digi to be sure of a Pregnant (I know am a total loser)

very excited, all on the grads will be delighted xxxx

hippychick66 · 02/03/2010 19:44

TFLS You scared the life out of me, seeing your name on the MC thread. I forgot for a mo that you'd had an MC last year and thought something awful had happened. Oh what a horrid moment - will need a large red to get over the shock. So glad it's just that you're popping back to check on us. The other thread is dead quiet isn't it?

thefatladyscreams · 02/03/2010 19:12

Hi everyone and welcome to all the new folk

Just dropped in quickly but saw Barrenbrook's news. That is fantastic news! [whispers quietly whilst the shock sinks in for Barrenbrook ]. What time of day did you test - maybe you need the first urine of the day for the Clearblue digi?

Off to catch up properly with all the posts but saw a couple of comments:

Hippy - I was worried about getting back on the horse but the moment suddenly felt right.

Bunnybaby - I found my weight stuck at the same point for the first month or so after m/c despite dieting strictly. Really annoyed me as I wanted control over something! But I think it was my hormones still playing up and it fell off after that.

hippychick66 · 02/03/2010 19:05

Thanks to all for your replies. I will defo get back to it once the spotting stops. And obviously as soon as I've had AF I will be over taken by the urge to go for it again. It just seems so odd that I'm nervous of having sex (what am I - 15???) Unfrtunately the answer to that is no - i'm bloody 43 - so time is moving on and I so want that last little one to join us.

I'll take a biscuit please unbuffy - then I'll crack open some wine. Definitely feel like I'm either ov-ing or about to, as my endo pain is flaring up - how amazing our bodies are, no sooner have you unceremoniously sucked out the poor little one who didn't make it and your body is saying, here have another egg. Good news though especially for an old girl like me!

Congrats to barrenbrook don't know your history so wont say anything much for fear of foot in mouth syndrome. You must be jumping between "whoopy" and "OMG". One day at a time - you'll get there.

Allthe8s · 02/03/2010 19:04

Was just popping in quickly but this thread moves so fast!

Big smiles and congrats Barrenbrook lovely news - sending sticky bean dust your way!!!

Hippy I think it is perfectly normal to feel like that. I feel the same a little bit now things aren't that straightforward hence not jumping straight back on the horse!

Hi Bunny I was on the Aug thread was due 25th but dropped off quite early. I am so sorry you are here Totally know what you mean about the extra poundage, I am now on a bid to lose as much as poss over the next couple of weeks before I can ttc again - have lost 4lbs in 2 weeks but I think mostly premenstrual water retention, Wii Fit is calling , so glad the cake and wine here is virtual!

Viv not gonna say the T word.....hang in there !!!!

urd · 02/03/2010 18:50

Just a quickie, congratulations Barrenbrook thats lovely to read something like that.
Goodluckbear- I know exactly how you feel about stopping time, I feel the same.
Hippy- I feel a bit like that, Hubby been great but he seems a bit quiet this week, we need to get back in the sack putting it bluntly. Take care all.

Unbuffy · 02/03/2010 18:49

Good luck Barrenbrook, keeping everything crossed for the first of the March bfps! I dunno, jump in after ages and drop good news or what?

Hippy - started s-withoutmuch-i after bleeding stopped after erpc. Not hugely fun but did help us feel close again. did cry but at the same time felt pleased as it was a hurdle crossed (mixed metaphors anyone?) - i was very nervous beforehand. It felt a bit like 'duty sex' but the afterwards closeness made it worthwhile, and i only would have got more and more nervous. All about me and not much helpful advice i know but sometimes other people's experiences can help. Try when you are ready, be gentle and use lots of slidy stuff to help things along. A drink don't hurt, either.

Lots of waves to everyone else, gosh more newbies, sad to see you here but pleased you found us.

I have biscuits wot i made today -any takers?

AlbaDeTamble · 02/03/2010 18:30

Barrenbrook, congrats! Really great to hear good news and sticky sticky vibes for you

Hippy -- I was so keen to try again, we started SWI pretty early on, and I have to say I was hugely nervous, it was incredibly scary, and I ended up sobbing. So then gave up again for a while and decided it was better to wait till after AF to try. Just another one of the many milestones that bring it all back. I'm struggling this afternoon, it's exactly a month since my MC started, and remembering it again all over.

Thanks Barrenbrook for the lovely news, you've cheered me up again and reminded me to think positive and to look forward to being pg again! . Fingers tightly crossed for everyone else about to test... maybe this is the start of a run of good news!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 02/03/2010 18:15

Good luck to everyone waiting to test! I am trying so bloody hard not to but I don't want to waste an expensive Cleablue Digital (so tight!).

Before I found out I was pregnant I was with my friend when I had a pain like stitch which was odd and I said to her 'maybe I am pregnant' without really believing it was possible but I actually was. Anyway unfortunately I then mc but today I have been having similar pains. Although part of me is not sure I am imagining them .

Somebody talk me out of testing plllllllease?

Goodluckbear · 02/03/2010 18:11

Hippychick - just reading that again I don't think I conveyed my message well enough - I meant to say being back at the start is so sad. I wanted (and still do want!) to stop time and have nothing around me and no-one around me change at all until I get pregnant again. Kind of reverse time and do it again but with a happy ending.

Anyway, so what I meant to say is, BIG HUGS.

xxxxxxxxxx

Goodluckbear · 02/03/2010 18:05

My word, I'm so glad I just came online for a quick peak - I get to be the first to say CONGRATS Barrenbrook!! OMG, so exciting, and you can't get a false positive so a positive is a positive.

Sticky, sticky thoughts for a sticky bean heading your way. Should be an emoticon for a sticky bean for times like this. [stickybean] - see if that works.

Good luck!!!!!!

Hippychick - I felt nervous, and I agree with what Muser said too. And as I was quite anxious it was quite emotional too, so take your time - big hugs.

Big hugs to all new people too, sorry you're here, but glad you found the thread.

Viv.....fingers crossed for you!

xxxxxxxxxx

barrenbrook · 02/03/2010 17:50

Hi Girls,

Apologies for my slackness in posting, had heaps going on and haven't seem to have had any 'me' time to sit down and post (mainly due to the ever growing puppy I think!)

Hello to all the newbies, so many, and a brand spanking new thread too.

I haven't had time to read and digest posts will do that later, I just wanted to tell you all, I'm almost scared to 'say' it, but I tested yesterday with a Boots early test thingy and, shhhhh,(gulp, barrenbrook whispers very very quietly) bfp! However a CB Digi said not pregnant but you can't get a false positive right?!

I am now officially shi**ing myself!!! Is it going to stick around? Am I going to be a crap Mum, is this REALLY what I want?! FUUUUUUUUUUUCCCKKKKKK!!!!

Hope you are all well, will pop back later (if I can stay awake, not through being pg, through getting up at half 3 this morning for work!)

Muser · 02/03/2010 17:42

I don't think it's weird to be nervous at all. The first time after my mc I was very nervous and, tbh, really didn't enjoy it that much. But after that it was fine.

If you're not ready to start TTC again you don't have to, you can break the old condoms out for a bit.

hippychick66 · 02/03/2010 17:27

Hi ladies. Welcome to the newbies, but of course sorry you're here - it is weird when you first find yourself on thsi thread - you keep thinking it must be a mistake.

Thanks for the advise alba, another very faint line today on OPK, will keep poas twice a day, defo have the egg whites.

I seem to be the only person who hasn't jumped straight back on the horse (so to speak). I am getting a bit scared about when we have our first swi - whereas you guys are all getting down to it every 5 minutes - you little minxs!

I'm still spotting quite a bit and using that as a reason not to do the deed yet - but I htink if I'm honest I'm nervous (does that sound weird- after 13 years together!!!)

Hubbie is ready and willing and waiting on the starting blocks - so not his fault at all.

I guess I just can't quite believe that we are back here again. It's like - Do not pass go, do not collect your baby - go back to the start - Oh sh*t sorry ladies, you were all so positive and I'm being all bluuuuub again.

randomimposter · 02/03/2010 16:43

Muser know what you mean...

Muser · 02/03/2010 16:41

I did get pregnant the first cycle after my MC, but I'd advise waiting a bit longer before testing. I am good at the getting pregnant bit, crap at the staying pregnant bit.

lauraloo09 · 02/03/2010 16:14

thanks jollster might wait a bit longer before testing
