Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

Congratulations redandyellow what lovely weekend news xxx

Gi1da · 06/03/2010 19:25

Oh Redandyellow good for you sweets! Congrats

Gi1da · 06/03/2010 19:22

Evening all. Barrenbrook, so sorry. Utter shiteness. Maitri, hope you have a quiet weekend and all goes well on Monday. Jollster, a big pants wedgie to the nhs for buggering you about! [grrrrr]

Btw do I get a complimentary vino for getting tightie whities into a conference presentation I did today?

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 06/03/2010 19:13

I'm sorry Barrenbrook, hope you are being spoilt this weekend.

Cross posted this but I just wanted to say thank you for the support and I have just got a BFP on a digital so I guess it is real! Tentatively happy after the early mc last month and feeling quite cautious but I hope this one wants to stay around.

I am going to practice trying to relax a bit now or I am going to be a mess by 12 weeks.

thefatladyscreams · 06/03/2010 17:27

Oh Barrenbrook - so sorry my sweetie. It just sucks at times and is so unfair. Hope you're taking really good care of yourself and sending you loads of love.

Jollster - what a horrible experience. Does seem an added cruelty that you didn't at least get a choice on how to deal with it. Hope you're doing OK now. As said by someone else on another thread, I'm in awe of what a fantastic mum you are and all the lovely things you've been doing with your DS with all this going on. Hope you're doing OK.

Wishing everyone else well - there always seems to be loads of cakes and chocolate on this thread now! I'm sure I've read a study about the increased effect on fertility of chocolate!!

Sarahlou8 · 06/03/2010 15:27

Hi, I just popped over from the Grads page to say how sorry I am barrenbrook, the news has filtered in over there. Take care, thinking of you xx

Moofold · 06/03/2010 14:47

Hippy it was me. I never got as dark a second line but am now thinking I might have been over optimistic as there has been no temperature shift. We shall see... Your CM sounds promising though and you were nearly there with the lines too.

Just keen to get back to some semblance of normality. And if it doesn't happen this month I have my CB fertility monitor waiting in the wings for next cycle (which had better not be as bloody long!)

BunnyBaby · 06/03/2010 13:24

Barrenbrook really sorry, hope you're being wrapped up in lots of cuddles.

I'm now in the weird cycle club. Had medical management, bled for 5 days, spotted until mid cycle then nothing until AF on days 29. This AF was 5 days followed by light spotting too. Me and DH thought WTF so SWI on Thursday night (day 10) only to start bleeding yesterday. This terrified me at first as I thought he'd 'hurt me' in some way. Feeling more relaxed now as think spotting may have been sign hormones ont straight and this extra AF will sort everything out ( that's my instinct anyway) has anyone had similar?

Apologies if typos I'm at Centerparcs on iPhone so can't amend list if someone could put me back to CD2?

A bit pee'd off as love swimming but don't want to stuff up innards with tampax or risk infection if uterus still sorting itself out.

I may break my Lenten promise and have a glass of real wine tonight.

Hope everyone else ok?

Xxx

hippychick66 · 06/03/2010 12:42

Totally agree about the sisterhod thing. People have been crawling out of the woodwork all over the place - telling me that they too have had mc's.

I'm so sorry to those of you who had to have the natual version. As horrid and sad as it is to go to hospital and have the preocedure done - I must admit it does sound preferable to sitting on the loo for hours feeling scared. I've had quite a few anasthetics before so i knew I didn't have any odd reactions or anything. Anyway, whichever way you do it it's total sh*t and very unfair. I have been amazed by just how many women experience this.

Well done to moofold for finally getting 2 lines on the stick (I hope I am not muddling your name up with someone else!)I had tonnes of egg white - lovely image thanks Hippy. But only a faint second line. Ahh well, we weren't going to try till next month anyway. I guess the egg white is just as good a sign as the two lines anyway.

Jollster you are one of the most jolly people I know - incredible. Barren do you have a hangover this morning??

littlemiss72 · 06/03/2010 11:47

Monring all, so sorry to hear your sad news barren

Just checking in.. still AF boobies however are now feeling v tender a sign for both pg or af on the way.

I have the hangover from hell and 3 hours in the hairdressers chair today for highlights to look forwrad to! All self inflicted so I only have myself to blame.

Have a lovely weekend all x

boodleboot · 06/03/2010 11:40

barrenbrook...so sorry. Really really rotten luck.

sparklyrainbow · 06/03/2010 11:20

Barenbrook so sorry.

Maitri, hope everything goes well. Like others have said, having gone through the natural version I think the ERPC is preferable now! I didn't want it as I'd started to bleed (and as it happens passed most of it within the following 2 days) and I've never had a general. They also weren't sure when I could be fitted in and basically said it could be any time within the next 36 hours as it was an emergency... didn't fancy hanging around waiting .

I am being quite vocal about what I've been through now I'm used to it, I just feel it's something that's kept so hush hush it makes it so terrifying when it happens, and as for the heavy period lie! . Couple of people at work have told me about their mcs, one mc 11 times though she did have 3dc in between. The sisterhood is definitely there

So pleased it's the weekend, lovely lie in and lots of cups of tea this morning, and the sun's shining. Off to walk the mutt now. Hope everyone has a good weekend x

Hopefully · 06/03/2010 10:53

Barrenbrook so sorry for you. It's totally crap. Hope you're taking care of yourself today.

AF due today (although I think OV'd v late this month - CD17 rather than 14), no pre-AF symptoms or PG symptoms either. Possibly because it's too early for either if I did OV late. Might get a test later on today, but really not sure whether it's worth it, or whether to just wait till Monday, when I'll be officially late, regardless of when I OV'd.

It's funny, last month I was perfectly prepared to see BFNs, and wasn't bothered by testing lots and getting them, but this month I find myself not wanting to test unless I'm fairly sure it's going to be a BFP. Possibly it's a money saving thing

Unbuffy · 06/03/2010 09:57

So very very sorry Barrenbrook. No words, really, except to agree with Jollster. It's bollo*ks. Thinking of you.

floweringcurrant · 06/03/2010 09:55

Just checking in to wish everyone a lovely weekend.
So sorry Barrenbrook, a terrible emotional rollercoaster. take good care.

bARRENBROOK-so sorry about that, take care of yourself.

Moofold · 05/03/2010 21:09

Maitri I found that incredible too, the amount of people that told me it has happened to them - even my boss. So sad that so many have to go through this - and some so many times. Its just devastating. Hope you are ok for Monday x

randomimposter · 05/03/2010 21:08

maitri I'll be thinking of you on Monday. Will only repeat myself (v v v good at that) that having done both ERPC and so called "conservative" management, I would firmly recommend the surgery every time. Agree on the miscarriage "club"; it really is a sisterhood. Take care x

Moofold · 05/03/2010 21:05

Sorry to hear that Barrenbrook, that is really cruel. Look after yourself x

Maitri · 05/03/2010 21:01

Just wanted to say many many thanks to all the ladies who have given me words of support. I'm still playing the waiting game as nothing's really passed yet. Ho hum... off to hospital on Monday for the ERPC. I can't tell you how wonderful it has been to find this thread and to know how many other women have been through this. I was railing against the unfairness of being a woman and having to go through this the other night. I took dd into school the following morning to find two mums (who I hardly know) rush up to me, wrap me in big hugs, kiss me on the cheek and tell me that they'd been through this too. I felt a sudden rush of the solidarity of women! Not too sure if men would be able to express their compassion to another man in quite the same way! Thanks everyone. x

randomimposter · 05/03/2010 20:48

Barrenbrook am so so sorry. Shitpiles, arsicles and pantaloons. Hope you're doing ok.

Thanks hippy; was back at the hospital today to get more bloods done as they cocked up and they WEREN'T ABLE TO SCAN ME AS NO SONOGRAPHERS WORK IN THE AFTERNOON SO HAVE TO GO BACK ON MONDAY TO CHECK ALL PASSED SO I DON'T NEED AN ERPC ON TUESDAY. Sorry, deliberate caps. Am quite cheesed off. Well as cheesed off as the Jollster gets.... .

GLB your train story really made me larf - that is EXACTLY the sort of thing that would happen to me. Priceless.

Hi everyone else - would offer up my Butterscotch Green and Blacks but it has all gone. Have a nice chunk of Jarlsberg though?
