Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

Hi I wonder if anyone can help/advise? I had a mmc on 3 March - went for my 12 wk scan and the baby's heartbeat had stopped 2 days before at 11wk5days.. I had an erpc on the 5th March 2 days later.. the dr at the hospital gave me 5 hcg preg sticks to try 2 weeks later and he said because of how far along I was with the baby could take 2-3 weeks for hcg to fully disappear... have tried this morning and it is still showing a positive although fairly faint still a line which sadly (bizarrely saying this) I dont want there to be a line!! Is this the norm? Have 2 tests left so was going to wait a few days to try again..the bleeding stopped almost 2 weeks to the day..

And a to say it was and still is a huge shock to me. seeing my almost 12 week baby on a scan getting measured then telling me they are sorry there is no heartbeat just keeps haunting me...
It was actually a 4th pg..I have 2 ds aged 9 and 6 then another ds who took 3.5 years to come along this pg was unplanned and I was on the pill... after the shock we were v excited thinking we had been blessed with a number 4 even if poor ds1 turned 1 on the 4th March..now we would like to try again as we didnt think we would feel that way about having a 4th but cant start trying until the pg test shows negative otherwise I wont know what is happening...
Sorry this sounds terribly jumbled and amazingly I am on a good day today...

Thank you to any advice...x

Tcha I thought it was a special season ticket, but yes now I look at the small print it is actually a restraining order.

I felt a bit wobbly after seeing Avatar in 3D (though it might have simply been an overdose of sentimentality that scrobbled my sarcasm girocopter).

How's everyone doing today? Am feeling supremely chipper after yesterday's double whammy updufferama. Anyone else got a present from the Clear Blue Fairy under their pillow?

MrsGazebo · 24/03/2010 09:40

Right this one's going to work.
(4th post, don't ask)
Hi
How is everyone today?

I've just had to drag myself out of my pit in determination to post this.
Tried last night but can't remember if it was stoopid iPods fault or the fact I had 4 Desperados too many.

Anywho
It was something along the lines of screaming wishing Buffs congrats on her brave POAS BFP!
I'm positively over the moon with the spoon!
at GLB hail to the BFP dance, shame no-one caught it

TFLS Good to hear about the scan, lovely news

Oooh, tentative congrats to Unbuffy and Alba. Very excited for you and not a teensy bit jealous . If neither of you want the thread twins can I have them please? failingthat more realistically I'll have a virtual kitten cuddle instead.

Pollyanna they can be weird can't they. Keep talking, if not to him then someone else and if not in RL on here. Mummy369 hope work gets better.

Shinysideup so of you as well- NZ and I WANT MY BLOODY PERIOD DAMMIT! I never thought I'd want a RTD so much... 5.5 weeks since mc now and no signs. POAS yesterday (internet cheapie) but obviously BFN as we've hardly SWI and cycle is most definitely WTF...don't have any real symptoms either so was a bit pointless really!

GRRRRRRRR.

Take care everyone x

clareanna · 23/03/2010 22:51

alba and unbuffy so (quietly) excited for you!
wonderful news! And fab to hear that your scan went well tfls
I don't think I'll be joining you this month- despite The holiday! Been expecting RTD any day now,

Muser · 23/03/2010 21:25

Congrats to Alba and Unbuffy, lovely to see some BFPs.

ElmMum · 23/03/2010 21:20

Hmm. Tonight's episode is about the neonatal unit, so all a bit too harrowing. Plus, just got email from friend to say she's pregnant with number 2. Due in September, when I would have been due. Just when you think you're starting to feel okay about things... might have to go and have a weep over a glass of wine.

randomimposter · 23/03/2010 20:57

bloody hell - like buses... 2 BFPs on one day.... I know we're being all cool and restrained and sensible..... blardy blah-de-blah . But alba and unbuffy SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO chuffed for you and of course appropriately . Wishing you both all the luck in the northern hemisphere on stickiness. Alba skiing well over-rated anyway... and tvm for the OB offer. Yum, yum, YUM.

pollyanna that's a bit poo. Am I correct you are in BN? I can pop round with a (rubber) baseball bat and crack him in the shins? Would that help? A VERY unMN hug for you (think that may be my first ).

Haven't watched OBEM. One of the reasons I put off motherhood so long was fear of childbirth; the thought of watching for entertainment? methinks I would rather eat my own foot... Elm I had a EmCS with DS also, so am also fullmontyless if that makes sense.... enjoy though.

Hi to all. Hope you are all feeling spring-like and forward-looking. I am trying to x

ElmMum · 23/03/2010 20:38

I find One Born Every Minute strangely comforting. It freaks me out about childbirth but that makes me feel closer to the idea of actually having to go through it. Plus, the joy people feel once they've got their baby is just infectious. DD was c-section after they realised she was breech (12 hours into labour ), so haven't actually done the full monty, as it were. Eeek is all I can say!

Have a good evening all x

Moofold · 23/03/2010 20:27

Hello, been away for a bit in Ireland and no internet access. I'm calculating I have over 300 posts to catch up on but up to my eyes in unpacking, washing etc before back to bloody work.

This is v lazy but can someone update me on news? Is that a BFP for Alba? What else has been happening?

I can feel RTD approaching so might get off the top of that list soon and give someone else a chance...

AlbaDeTamble · 23/03/2010 20:20

Thanks all for such kind and lovely messages.

Pollyanna, I found one thing that did help with DH was to explain to him that I actually genuinely feel more up for it than usual at most fertile times, so not just wanting lots of SWI because we need to, but because I want to -- makes him feel more wanted and not just that he has to perform, iyswim, and is also true. Helped us, might help you? It's a really difficult one and so incredibly frustrating!

Barrenbrook and Jollster, and anyone else who'd like some, case of Oyster Bay here if you'd like a glass or two -- please save a little for me till I'm out of the super high risk first few days, just in case I need it.

WestYorkshireGirl · 23/03/2010 20:18

PS I'm glad we sorted things with the stats - I wouldn't have wanted to commit a MN crime or anything....

Allthe8s - I won't hold it against you - it was Monday afterall!

WestYorkshireGirl · 23/03/2010 20:16

So much action today ladies - I can't keep up!
Great news about BFPs Alba and Unbuffy. Also, lovely to hear about TFLS scan. My MC was on the actual day of my scan (after they couldn't really find much) and it's great to hear a reference to the fact that not all scans are bad.

Polyanna I hope you resolve things with your DH - they can be a bit random sometimes can't they?

Anyone got any ways of getting though long cycles - the days seem to drag on and knowing I've got another 30 days until I might be able to test (as I will be late after day 36/37) seems ages away... I know chocolate helps so you can't suggest that!

BunnyBaby · 23/03/2010 20:14

unbuffy that's brilliant news! Pleased for you a million times over!

polyanna sorry to hear dh not working with you. Have you asked him what he's worried about? It took 15 mths to conceive DS1 due to DH's avoidance techniques ( he was worried about being a dad and money). By the time we were ready for DS2 he was much more cooperative as his concerns had been met. He only took 3 months to conceive ( got lucky on the 1 cycle of SWI every day). He may be worried about you and men ( well mine anyway) find it hard to talk about feelings. Take care and be kind to each other xxx

Pollyanna · 23/03/2010 19:52

Congratulations Alba and unbuffy!Blimey that was quick - I'm not even sure I ovulated this month!

I have had a horrid week as dh decided he didn't want to shag at all (in my fertile week), and in fact didn't want another child. I still don't know whether he does or not, but now he has decided that he will swi, even though I am on day 21 so in fact he knows there is no chance of pregnancy.

I have to think how to deal with all of this - and in some ways the thought of getting pregnant was the only thing that helped me through the mc. I can't bear it if my last experience of pregnancy and childbirth was having a foetus dragged out of me in A&E. Sorry to drag the mood down, but if you don't see me here again, it's down to my sodding "d" h.

barrenbrook · 23/03/2010 19:49

Oh my goodness, I am welling up Alba & Unbuffy Congratulations! am quietly happy and excited for you.

Jollster Sorry for hogging all the OB!

TFLS Great news about the scan lovely, please keep popping in and keep us updated.

Got to run for now, puppy is having his nightly mentalist time and keeps launching himself at me and the laptop.

Hello to everyone else (waves)

shinysideup · 23/03/2010 19:35

Haven't been around for a couple of weeks so popped in for a peek and saw all this brilliant news! Made my day. Congrats to Alba and Unbuffy and so glad your scan was good TFLS.

RTD got me yesterday. Trying to pretend I didn't do 5 tests in the few days before , well, you never know eh?
Still, feel ok. We're off to NZ for a month next week. Definitely my most fertile time whist we're in mid air so unlikely we'll get lucky this month. I've decided (gulp) to leave behind all my pee sticks and thermometers and go au naturel. Chances are so slim with the timing that I'm going to just relax and enjoy the holiday. Will still SWI of course and will just take one PT just in case

wannabeamum · 23/03/2010 19:11

Going to watch - gosh doing this on a phone isn't as easy as it seemed!

wannabeamum · 23/03/2010 19:10

Have been AWOL recently ladies, but have popped on to say a massive congrats to alba and unbuffy! Blooming exciting stuff!!

Hello to everyone else.

I'm fining to watch one born every min tonight - I find I can't not watch - anyone else like that?
