Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

Hi happygirl and moofold. Apologies to those who swear by opk's. I used them for first two ttc cycles and they seemed to bear little relevance to what my body seemed to tell me. Chucked them in the bin and SWI the following month each day from day 10 onwards. Not surprising got BFP straight away.

I also have a feeling opk's show me ready at day 14 which is too late and I've always caught when I try from day 10 onwards. I have regular 27/28 day cycle.

Spotting almost finished and I am on day 6 so fingers crossed. We're on our marks for day 10 DH has sworn off the booze until I catch again. He is a light drinker anyway but made me feel awww

Not kidding I've had 3 pregnancy announcements at work. 1 with friends and 2 births in 3 weeks. The way I see it there's lots of baby dust around.

So come on board ladies, grab a cake for stamina and we'll all jump on the baby bus!

(Bunnybaby tries to be a positive as possible)

Pollyanna · 10/03/2010 11:55

Welcom to happygirl and spottysox - sorry you're joining us though!

I am at home today with ds2 and suspected chicken pox and dd2 with a (slightly exaggerated?) sore throat and ear ache.

I am messing around on the computer working from home

I did my first ever OPK this morning - it may have shown a line! I told dh already that he has to be ready tonight. Oh the romance!

Lovely sunny day here, pity I am stuck in with 2 children (and working of course!).

littlemiss72 · 10/03/2010 11:53

Yoohoo, hope your all well. Welcome to the newbies sorry you find yourselves here however do join in as it's a great support network.

AF finally arrived, put myself back down the bottom. Good to see things might actually be getting back to normal. Was expecting a real heavy flow however not the case which I'm hoping is also a good sign.

HappyGirl so to hear your joining us, I know the feeling at being back at work feeling the way you do. It does get easier with time so ((HUGS)) to you!

HappyGirl1 · 10/03/2010 11:35

HI Ladies,

Can I join you please? I MC'd 12 days ago on TTTC #1, was 5 weeks 6 days pregnant. Was and am devastated. Happened while away from home, seeing my GP this afternoon.

Having such a bad day here in work, back 3 days and it's just so so hard. So many people keep telling me I look terrible and like they don't know what i've been through.

I desperately want to start trying again, we haven't BD since it all happened but hopefully soon. I seem to be getting some egg whitey the last 2 days but yet the ov tests are negative so who knows what that means..

randomimposter · 10/03/2010 11:22

oh and finally
agree with you viv AF and witch are toe-curling. Could we not start our own... BB (BloodyBleeding)? That's quite mild, I'm sure we could get more offensive....

Gaz you and your sausage eh . Can tell you're a young 'un. SWoI.... what's that all about. Just for fun...? Oh no missus...

randomimposter · 10/03/2010 11:19

spottysox anyone with cake is welcome... so sorry you're waiting about. It is the waiting and uncertainty that is most horrid I find. Tangible stuff (even sad and tragic) can be dealt with. Waiting is limbo land.

randomimposter · 10/03/2010 11:16

Guess as most of you seem to be in gainful employment I better do the stats... Beats the need for Nintendo Brain Training...?

welcome cinnamonswirl.... if you want to give your stats as per below you can be added on if you like?

Hello ladies, Saw Muser was here and wanted to thank her for answering my Q's about ectopics, turns out I didn't have an ectopic but things still don't look good, had a dildocam scan on Monday should be 6-7 weeks and all they can see is an empty sac that hasn't grown in 10 days I've got to go back for another scan in 10 days. The doc said it didn't look hopeful, but of course as he didn't say it was hopeless I'm still clutching at straws. I hate waiting. Do you think I could sit here and wait with you. I can bring cake

cinnamonswirl · 10/03/2010 10:41

Hi all, am off to work now, was nice chatting to you. hopefully catch you later tnite. xx

Muser · 10/03/2010 10:36

It is actually quite nice to be back at work goodluckbear. Makes me feel life is getting back to normal. Although I'm slightly lacking motivation. I guess that's to be expected.

Hope you manage to relax a bit about symptom spotting. It's hard when you want something so much though.

cinnamonswirl · 10/03/2010 10:03

thanks, VivClicquot i kind of assumed but....didnt want to get it wrong because it would be a really weird kind of mix up if i were wrong !!! lol !

cinnamonswirl · 10/03/2010 09:59

Hi Goodluckbear,

sorry to hear your troubles, life can be a female dog sometimes !!!

hope that things get better very soon for you.
nice one with the kit-kats, yum yum

VivClicquot · 10/03/2010 09:56

Top ranting there, Goodluckbear - I totally feel your pain after my "How can it be a BFN when I just know I'm pregnant?" psycho episode last week.

Cinnamon - AF = Period. I think it stands for Aunt Flo which is yet another of those cringe-inducing acronyms that seem to invoke unnecessary rage in me!

Goodluckbear · 10/03/2010 09:34

Forgot to say - welcome Cinnamonswirl!!

xxxx

Goodluckbear · 10/03/2010 09:33

Hey Muser - how is it going today? Being back in work sucks. Although maybe nice to be doing something normal-ish?

I was actually coming online to have MAJOR RANT about frickin AF - damn, damn, damn. This has been my thought process the last couple of days:

  • BFN on Monday = maybe I tested too early
  • PMT cramps on Tuesday = maybe it's implantation
  • Spotting last night = maybe it's implantation bleeding

WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME??!!!! I'm a loon, I would never have tried to persuade myself it's not AF before. This is worse than last time, at least last time it was the first one post MC so I could console myself with my body getting back to normal.

Best mate going for her 20 week scan today and I should've been having my 20 week scan this week, and I'm pissed off about that too.

THANK GOD they are still selling two kit kats for 80p in the canteen.

I'm getting four.

xxxxxxxxxx

cinnamonswirl · 10/03/2010 09:26

Hi Viv Clicquot, thank you for makeing me feel welcome, i love wine and cake !! wahay !
i am on day 22 of a 23-30 day cycle, so am playing the waiting game, its a bummer being irregular, you get your hopes up each day over 23days.
curry, that sounds good, i am just doing my shopping list and now fancy a curry, am trying to loose weight so veg curry could be a fab dinner tnite. i do need to lose about a stone and a half, but its a good distraction from thinking about when, when , when are we going to have a baby,
but well meaning friends ddo say 'why bother, you will be really fat soon anyway!!!' how nice are they ??? lol
hope that your wait for it to get interesting isnt too long, can i ask what AF is?

Muser · 10/03/2010 09:12

Morning all. I'm now back at work, feels very weird after two weeks off. Only a few people there know about the ectopic, not sure what everyone else thinks.

I've another set of blood tests today. Hoping for another big drop in HCG levels. It's been 3 weeks since my treatment.

VivClicquot · 10/03/2010 09:03

Morning lovelies, and hi cinnamonswirl. Welcome, and sorry that you've found yourself here, but I can promise you with a name like that, you're going to fit right into our cake and wine club.

Nothing to report here. Day 4 after the lightest and shortest AF ever. Just ticking off the days until things start to get interesting again.

In food news, had a curry last night and am now feeling like the size of a small mansion with a granny annexe out back. So no cake or vino for me today.

Love to all xxx

cinnamonswirl · 10/03/2010 08:53

Good Morning Everyone, i was just loking through and thought i would write my first post, as you all sound so nice, and really related to the 'one born every minute' i cant watch it yet, but DH and i do torture ourselves with the discovery channel in the mornings watching ' student midwives and baby story' but some times it helps when i see the journeys that other TTC have been through and are being so positive.
My DH and I have been TTC for over a year and a half, i know in my head its still early days but with every cycle it so upsetting, and i can totaly understand the upset when close friends and sisters have beautiful babies, by 'accident' and concieve in what seams like 5 mins !!!

AlbaDeTamble · 10/03/2010 08:17

Oops... How did that happen? Patchy reception on the train... Took 5 mins to refresh and there it is posted twice

AlbaDeTamble · 10/03/2010 08:13

Good to have you back Mrs G, really crap what you're going through but you've helped lift my spirits... Missed your hilarious posts! I do hope you're not kept waiting long though. Why do tests always take ages to arrange and ages to be communicated back when the test itself is pretty quick? It's cruel torture by lack of administration speed.

Barrenbrook, no-one's called me a plonker since it was one of my father's favourite terms for me back when I was a teenager!

well and truly on the rollercoaster this week... Tears one minute, angry the next, then feeling stupid (screaming at DH when it isn't really deserved just when we need to start SWI... How dumb is that?)... But into the 'important' days now and have made up with DH, so I feel like I'm really doing something about moving on... Next week will probably crash again, or maybe tomorrow .

I'm struggling to keep up with all news, posting on phone so less easy to check back, but congrats to BFPs, great news, hope all goes well. Muser so sorry you're still in limbo land too, Jollster nice that you had a bonus day yesterday, what a fab way to think of it! You'll be off that WTTC list really soon now

Moofold have no idea.... Maybe you're ov'ing more than once and you'll end up with triplets?

Half way through the week all... Well, nearly. Onwards and upwards

Hi everyone. Not been on for a few days -- so much to catch up on so apologies for not namechecking and remembering who said what.

Does the MC just make you more conscious of it or is everyone pregnant or giving birth? I have 2 friends and 1 relative due within 3 weeks of what would have been my due date and have had 3 births and 3 announcements of pg since my MC in December from friends. Each one like a stab through the heart and makes me repeat inwardly that I just want my baby back.............

Anyone watching one born every minute is stronger than me (or a masochist!). I have also been trying not to keep track of how many weeks I should. Its hard not to, I know.

If anyone can give advice on what my body could be doing I would be very grateful. Anyone who can recall my tales of woe of WTF part 2 may recall my jubilation at getting dark(ish)second lines on OPKs followed by a little temp increase last week. I got over excited and thought i might have OV'd but since then have had LOADS of eggwhites and now temp back down. Peed on OPK tonight and its going dark again. What on earth is going on, can anyone relate to this madness and give me a clue?

Hope everyone is as good as can be expected and enjoying the posts from Mrs G!!

MrsGazebo · 09/03/2010 21:59

You can call me whatever you want Jolls
Can I call you Jolls?

After spending most of the day in my PJ's, doing very little,I met MrG on his way home and popped in our local for a nice med-rare Steak.

I may have sausage as well later
