Morning all, hope your keeping well.

Lia came 5 weeks post erpc for me, not heavy at all. Tailing off today already so qite the opposite from you. Hold out until MOnday if it's no better I'd think about calling the doc up just to be on the safe side.

Wonderful words urd and viv equally lovely story. Both very touching.

Off to look at houses today, our plans continue despite our loss. I have started to wonder however if I've taken on too much moving and planning a wedding all this year as well as ttc what will be will be.

Have a muslim wedding reception later today, sounds like a wild night without wine. No idea what to wear mind! Google'd: just cover your arms and don't have too much on show so to speak. That's simple considering I'm half a stone heavier and hiding every thing I can.

Hope you all have nice plans for the weekend, I'll try and catch up properly tomorrow as DP is off on his travel's ..

the stats have got in a bit of a mess with a couple of crossed posts missing other updates, and MANY many other snippets lost/maybe lost.

So have had a go at updating (certainly the cycle days), and re-adding some lost newbies but would encourage people not to be shy, and if posting news that is stats related you can update them yourselves. Much easier that way.

Hope all jolly this morning. tarra for now x

Mmmh Alba you're putting ideas in my head. Like I need encouraging to pee on anymore sticks! I still have an HPT lying about now you mention it..........

I understand your sentiments about your colleagues due same time as you. I think I said in an earlier thread I have 2 friends due within 3 weeks of what would/ should have been my due date plus a relative of DH due same week. Am dreading the end of June start of July.

Anyway, off to bed - can feel DD's cold rubbing off on me. Ho hum, SWI last thing on my mind!

AlbaDeTamble · 12/03/2010 22:06

Moofold, are you sure it's ov, and you're not pg? OPKs pick up both LH and HCG... Just wondering, since such a long cycle... (apols for so many acronyms)... Am quietly excited for you!

Liah, my was v heavy and few days longer than normal. Should have +ve OPKs by now but all stubbornly -ve

good luck with the rellies unbuffy

happy weekends to all

Moofold · 12/03/2010 21:43

Beautiful poem Urd (she said through floods of tears). We have those lanterns too but haven't done anything with them yet so some inspiration from you and Viv. A week or so after ERPC we went to a lovely spot on a bridge over a river and threw some flowers in the river while saying goodbye to our wee one but have wanted to do something with the lanterns too. Just something about them seems really fitting.

Viv your pains could well be OV. Last Wed/ Thurs I was utterly convinced I had OV pains and started getting darkish 2nd line on OPK. However today my friends BFP!!!! Ok, its only on an OPK but that it cause for much celebration at day 54 or whatever it is (stopped keeping track). Thank fuck! My point being if you are day 6 then perhaps you are starting to feel pains a week before OV too?

Liah my post ERPC period was very light and short so can't help there. Hope your RTD buggers off soon.

Unbuffy hope you cope with your family. I have found myself getting enraged with my mother making comments like that but when I reflect I wonder if it is all part of folk not knowing what to say -- then anything that comes out sounds callous or insensitive. I honestly don't believe anyone comes close to understanding MC unless they have been there so I try to give people a break when they say something stupid. Good luck pal!

Hello and waves to everyone else - here's some wine to all that would like some. I'm going back to my real glass x

Allthe8s · 12/03/2010 21:17

yep 14 days and I have no idea when I ov'd (can usually tell). Had pains mid week but assume it was period pains not ov pain as I am due on tomorrow or sunday??????

liahgen66 · 12/03/2010 21:11

what??? allthe8's nooooo, Where exactly do I fit in my swi about day8+ if that happens?

OP posts:
Allthe8s · 12/03/2010 21:06

liah mine was heavy lasted 2 weeks.

liahgen66 · 12/03/2010 21:02

cool, it is too!!

Sorry about your bullish bro, not sure which option i'd go for, pissed and truthful,or quiet and seething. Either way, doesn't sound like much fun for you, is his wife understanding?

OP posts:
Unbuffy · 12/03/2010 21:01

My h key does not seem to be doing all it sould. Sorry if this makes problems, eg names...

Unbuffy · 12/03/2010 21:00

Lia - Red Tide of Doom, aka aka the awfully tweely named af. Following the success of replacing bd with swi, there's a new campaign out...

Unbuffy · 12/03/2010 20:58

Lia they know. Everybody knows. My mum got pissed excited over Christmas and told everybody before I was ready for them to know. So she then had to tell them all that it wasn't to be after all. Sounds harsh - but she wanted to know what she could do to help when she found out about the mc - she came to the scan with me so knew even before dh. So yes they are fully aware of the facts but obv i have been keeping that brave face on that for some reason we have to have. it's the easiest way to deal with other people. it lets them off the hook somewhat in awkwardness. may have to stay hideously, horribly sober this w/e to avoid telling them exactly how i feel, and blame horrible cold and mucho paracetamol. My bro's a thoughtless sod at the best of times, could really cause fun 'n' games...

Can't help with the post-erpc period thing, mine was v light and short but totally stop-start for several days. Just what you need after 42 thousand days - vast bloodloss - lots of luck 'n' virtual paddage. At least you're over the '2ww' (!!!)

Happy weekend to all - here's the wine i won't be drinking to share out, and the chocolate and chilli sorbet that's apparently heavenly that i can't taste due to cattarh (sp?)
x

liahgen66 · 12/03/2010 20:47

Gi1da sorry thicko emoticon but what is RTD?

OP posts:
Gi1da · 12/03/2010 20:44

Hi Laihgen, can't comment on ERPC and still awaiting first RTD, just wanted to commiserate - that sounds pants. Hope it settles soon and get back to usual, am sure everything's fine, probably just a thorough spring clean of the lady bits!

Am looking forward to RTD as it means we can try again, but on the other hand I am so sick of the sight of blood after the 'natural' mc that I really have had enough! Note to self - get up duffers asap - avoid avoid avoid rtd! Sadly won't be this month for me thanks to flu lurgy, not much S without or without I and certainly none at the appropriate time - grrrr!!

Gi1da · 12/03/2010 20:36

Bugger Unbuffy, that's not fun. I read somewhere, probably here, someone responding to the MC percentages comment with a "well death is fucking universal but you don't mention that statistic when someone dies" or similar. I'd politely ask them to respect your feelings the first time they step over the line, then if they continue I'd whack them with something pretty rudely emotionally raw and hope they were shamed into shutting up. Actually I would probably think about it, but not actually say it, just hide in the kitchen muttering into a wine glass and weeping into the fridge. Which of course is perfectly acceptable behaviour too.

Bloody good luck with it.

And HI everyone else! Hope you are all full of Friday goodness and hope that by the time I have finished typing this that the thread hasn't moved on ten posts and I look like I'm coming in with a random rant!

liahgen66 · 12/03/2010 20:31

buffy do they know you've recently had a loss? If not, perhaps you need to tell them, I know it wouldn't be easy but would save you getting upset and lots of wires getting crossed.

Hope it goes well.

So I have my period post erpc (42 days, exactly 7 wks!!) and it's really heavy, am using night time towels and changing hourly. Normally my periods are very average. Is this normal for your 1st post erpc period?

Last time I had this op, I got up duffed straight away so no period.

Any advice thank you very much.

OP posts:
Unbuffy · 12/03/2010 19:10

Advice please, sorry to bust in like this. It's just sunk in and I'm panicking. My brother and SIL are coming for the weekend. They are trying for a baby (When dd was tiny, she said - I kid you not - 'I'd love a baby, you get a year's holiday' ). They seem to think in so many ways that it's going to be easy. conceiving, keeping, and having a baby.

They are both doctors. (better and better...)

My bro keeps getting all 'one in five...' and 'sometimes it just...' at me and medical and crap. HOW do I deal with this? I want to just SLAP him sometimes, he has NO IDEA. And they're both going to want to talk about pregnancy, and babies and everything, and... gaah. Where's that cynical they-have-no-idea-and-i-wish-they-would-shut-the-hell-up-emoticon when you need it?

Expect more rants this weekend.

Oh, hi everyone, by the way

Allthe8s · 12/03/2010 19:05

Hi ladies, big waves to all and sorry for not name checking. xx
manic end of week lots of overtime and stress but my mum took me for a spa day today. Would recommend a body scrub/massage to you all as I feel so much better for it.

Urd I love your poem, so so bloody true. Viv love your lantern story. We had a complete chinese lantern disaster........ we scattered DD2s ashes in the sea at sunset in ibiza (DH had to call spanish embassy to check it was ok to take the ashes abroad, but they thought he was asking to take hashish into spain, when dh said no human ashes the guy was mortified but dh found the funny side as did I). On my due date we went to Brighton (to be near the sea, closest we can get to her) but were too chicken to send lantern off from beach so went up to the top of a remote hill, we chickened out again as it was so ridiculously windy so dh had to hold the burning lantern on the ground until it went out......we did giggle about what a pair of divs we were but felt really disappointed but then we noticed the moon had just come up and it was red. DD2 name is Ruby. After that I felt quite comforted.

Anyway I hope that you all have a lovely Friday night....now for the wine, Cheers x

randomimposter · 12/03/2010 18:30

Oh lord....
Thought I'd have a quick scan through after a day at the London Transport Museum with DS, and before putting him to bed... and now I'm snivelling over the keyboard. Back later...

Icedlemonmuffin · 12/03/2010 17:40

The poems made me cry because it just sums up every thing I feel at the moment . My mc was mothers day last year so really struggling this week, don't really want to celebrate but dd is excited and dh being really supportive. Going to eat a couple of lemon muffins to cheer myself up.

Sorry for post being so self indulgent and hi to everyone.

Mummy369 · 12/03/2010 16:38

ditto re. the poem - brought definite tears to my eyes. And the honeymoon story was beautiful. Thank you both.

Well after the saga of realising I didn't have a valid tax disc.... So today went to local DVLA office, left home 9.15am arrived there at about 9.40ish. That took an hour, then I left to go and organise my new work uniform. Had 2 options a) option 1 - through the city centre traffic b) option 2 - motorway, come off after 3 exits right by uniform place. Decided on option 2. An hour later arrived - thanks to motorway closure and huge traffic jam and being diverted through the city centre!! grr

We made it home 5 mins before DD's nursery start at 1 o'clock (actually I have DS1 standing beside me correcting my spelling - he just pointed out I wrote ! o'clock - sounds very apt it certainly felt like AARGH o'clock!)

HappyGirl1 · 12/03/2010 16:09

Viv - if it's any consolation if it is a cyst don't worry.. i've had them and have a 4 inch one at the moment.. they don't stop you getting pregnant and they don't cause MC.. my GP went to great lengths to tell me this..
