My cycle is mashed, have never gone over 29 days. The 14 day RTD must have been the cause and maybe added a week on. So can't provide a BPF OR BFN for probably another week...Who knows?????????!!!!!! Anyone else had a similar thing??

Will be back this afternoon with more birthday cake (was very spoilt yesterday and had 2!)

Have a good day x

Glad I'm not alone, just sat through One Born Every Minute, silly moo made me all and happy in a funny sort of way!

Happy Birthday Allthe8s sounds like you've had a wonderful day.

Alba you little minx enjoy!

I'm limbering up for Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, DP flys out again Tuesday morning shattered no doubt.

Off to bed early start, sweet dreams all x

AlbaDeTamble · 16/03/2010 21:38

Happy birthday Allthe8s

great birthday rhyme Gi1da -- I'm beginning to think you really are going to be able to get that CM quote in somewhere in RL, somehow, sometime soon!

Now switch off one born every minute everyone! go and swi (or swoi) instead, will do you all far more good....

Allthe8s · 16/03/2010 21:24

Thank you Gi1da Love it! x

Pollyanna · 16/03/2010 21:19

Unbuffy Sytron iron liquid is really good and doesn't cause constipation (in fact has the opposite effect) - I took this after my mc. Am still exhausted though and wonder whether this is hormones/grief whatever?

Hippy I had to congratulate my colleague today who has reached 12 weeks. I am happy for her but do feel so so

Also sitting down watch One Born Every Minute - torture!

Gi1da · 16/03/2010 21:17

Noooooooooo don't do it Wannabe!!!!

Allthe8s

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
May your cervical mucous
Bring a baby or two!

wannabeamum · 16/03/2010 21:08

Settling in to watch one born every minute. Standby for tears, anger and sheer envy.

Allthe8s · 16/03/2010 19:16

Just popping in to offer some birthday cake around, have been thoroughly spoilt today and went for a lovely picnic in the sunshine so feeling very upbeat and smiley today!

I wasn't ttc this month and what I thought was period pains last wed might have been ov'ing pains, not sure and confuzzzed. Anyway thinking RTD was about to arrive I accidently forgot about the not ttc thing as thought too late anyway so if I did ov there is now a slim jim chance I could be.... so Alba will keep you posted!........I hope even more so now as I am on the waiting list for some surgery and have been told me if I am not already pregnant I need to stop trying and wait which might be as long as June!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I am so sick of those goal posts being moved.

Anyway I hope you all had a lovely sunny day, sorry for not name checking xxxx

spottysox · 16/03/2010 18:19

Thanks Gi1da/Alba for answering my Q's. At the moment (haven't mc/erpc yet) I want to try as soon as possible 'cos i'm old but I might feel different after
When I was low on iron my doc told me to eat liquorice and dark chocolate. So swap the spinach for Green 'n Blacks it's good for you.
Hippy it must be so hard for you. I'm hiding away only going out for school runs but still notice loads of pregnant women. Here's wishing you buckets of quality slippery cervical mucus (well maybe not buckets but ample) I'd never manage to say such a thing in RL so forgive me for taking the opportunity here

hippychick66 · 16/03/2010 17:11

Hi all. Wow it is so weird at work. There is one pregnant lady who is 1 week behind where I would have been and another who is 1.5 weeks behind where I would have been.

The weirdest thing is that there was no one pregnant for ages and then in the space of a week and a half 3 of us got preg. Obviously it is quite horrid for me that the other two are now sailing on into the second trimester and I tripped and fell at 11.5 weeks. They have pictures to show everyone and I have nothing which is sh*t.

But how weird that 3 got preg in the space of 10 days. We joked it might be something in the air conditioning.

They keep saying nice things like, "you'll be preg again soon." Your turn to bring a picture in soon." Etc. I know it must be incredibly awkward for them and I don't want to spoil their moment but I did have a total meltdown at work when neither of them was looking.

Still as soon as I get my1st . I will at least be in with a try. Just waiting for the old slippery stuff!!

slimyak · 16/03/2010 16:51

Unbuffy I'd ask to see a nutritionalist regarding iron. Not 100% sure but I was under the impression that vegetable iron sources are difficult to absorb. Not only do you need a truck load of vitamin C at the same time but also avoiding dairy in that meal as the enzmes in dairy can inhibit absorbsion. Also too much spinach can have the effect of inhibiting absorbsion.

Sorry just caught your post haven't read the history but it jangled a brain cell from a previous life - I'd check this out. Can you eat medicinal black pudding?

Unbuffy · 16/03/2010 14:26

Would love to take iron supplements, but they have, erm, unfortunate side effects and me piles are playing up (lurvely spot of tmi there). I've been eating piles of spinach instead - just call me Popeye the Sailor Man!

No rude comments about seamen neccessary, ladies.

AlbaDeTamble · 16/03/2010 14:15

mmmm 85% green and blacks choc brownie, just what I needed! Thanks unbuffy -- as for the permanent exhaustion, I have found iron supplements helped a lot. And of course red wine is a good iron source too...

Gi1da, you're absolutely right -- we'll all get back to normal when our hormones get back to normal

Looking forward to hearing how you use the CM quote...

Gi1da · 16/03/2010 13:51

Hmm I still need to shift a few pounds, after pg, mc, comfort. I'm kidding myself it will all magically fall off after the first RTD? I'm right yes? Correct answer is "Yes you are. Absolutely".

[hmmm]

Gi1da · 16/03/2010 13:48

They seek him here, they seek him there, that damned elusive red tide! No news here and no point poas I'm afraid, no pre-period symptoms either... I'm stuck in limbo land!

Has first post mc acupuncture session today (have been going for about a year), which was great and I feel much more positive. It's a beautiful spring day, and I WILL be healthily pregnant again very soon. Wishing positive vibes to you all!

And PS - I think my OH would have a fit if he saw me sat in bed reading about CM!! Hmmm still thinking about how to get Hippy's "really bringing home the importance of good quality slippery CM" sentence into a conversation.

Tightie whities was easy, I was presenting on organic cotton so I had a final slide of sexy chaps in pants and finished on my call to action: Keep toxins out of your tightie-whities, keep pesticides out of your pants - choose organic! Got a laugh anyway.

Unbuffy · 16/03/2010 13:40

I lost weight while I was pg too, Alba. Was very very sick for the whoooole time, and could eat very very little. Then after erpc (nearly 24 hours nil by mouth - eeek! And with my blood suger!) my stomach could barely cope with anything at all having shrunk to a teeny tiny size!

BUT I've made up for it comfort eating in the last couple of months and have felt low and pathetic so not so much exercise as usual (pathetic and weak emoticon ) so I'm on the low-cal as well. Although they never taste as good - have a chocolate brownie full of butter and sugar and 85% Green&Blacks
mmmmmmmmm

AlbaDeTamble · 16/03/2010 13:24

hello all... nice to know it's not just me who's busy obsessing doing my research on TTC... I have a Zita West book, and tons of googling...

Pollyanna, every other day should be enough according to most sources, some say everyday better at fertile time, but that's provided that your DH has a reasonably high sperm count (they can get a little depleted if too much action too often every other day supposed to be better to get them at peak potency!). Who knows just try as much as you're comfortable with and all should work out fine, if not this month, then next or the one after. That's what I'm telling myself, and occasionally, just occasionally, I believe it

Oh, and I also read not enough isn't great either, the little swimmers get a bit stale if you don't make room for new ones every few days... this from the Zita West book -- she says you need to make sure to have enough swoi at non-fertile times for this reason, and also to remember that it is fun, not just duty...

So it's all a case of a happy medium...

I am so confused this month -- OPK sticks all still stubbornly negative, so maybe no chance for me... but will keep on trying in case it's a bad batch and they're just wrong.

Spottysox, it's so horrible waiting for ERPC or things to happen naturally for me it all started full-on the morning I was booked for surgery. A lot of pain and a lot of blood (sorry if tmi, but I know most of us found it helpful knowing what to expect) and the consultant said absolutely to go ahead with the op as that can continue for some time. I was 11 weeks not sure how far along you were, I imagine at different stages it's a different story, so this may not be helpful. The miscarriage association says either way there's really no difference, though it seems from anecdotal evidence of posts on here, it's often quicker to get started again after ERPC than natural, but really depends what you feel most comfortable with and that's different for everyone. I wanted to start again as soon as possible, tried, but then shortly afterwards realised it was all too much too soon and better to wait for one first. Be kind to yourself, it's a really horrible emotional rollercoaster to go through. And we all relate to your wanting a baby NOW -- it feels like it's all I think about.

Unbuffy the image of that cartoon has made me chuckle... that could so well be most of us!!

liahgen I'll have all the chocolate ones please! Can't believe no-one else took them! Yummy -- but can I have a few of the calories please... still a bit on the light side (I know, I'm odd, am I the only one here who lost weight whilst pg...?)

northlondonchoclover, RunForTheHills, yogamat, sunburntats, NoShouting, Slimyak, Gi1da, Tigerbear and Allthe8s all at the top of the list and CD past UCL... need some BFPs to inspire us all... anyone?

waves to everyone else

Gi1da · 16/03/2010 13:22

Hi Sox, I'd just worry about you right now rather than the next TTC plan. If you start to mc naturally then they will probably scan you afterwards to make sure everything is clear, and may also do a couple of blood tests to make sure your hormones are settling back. My bleeding began on the Saturday night, then the natural MC was on Sunday afternoon. I didn't have time to wait for an ERPC as it all happened really quick (and over a weekend, which is not great with the NHS).

Re ttc, just see how you feel, I think it seems to be ok to just go for it if you feel up to it straight away, the docs will tell you to wait a cycle so they can get dates easier (paperwork!) but you might want to give yourself a little time to recover, I know it seems like time is passing but you might feel like giving yourself a break - mentally and physically, to get your mojo back! I wanted to get pg straight away but fate stepped in with a snotty (v unsexy) cold this month, probably a good thing as I am feeling a lot stronger now than I was a fortnight ago when I think I ov.

Hope you are ok.

And LOL at Hussy cat!

Afternoon ladies, my bbt took a drop today so looks like something might happen for me soon If I start to mc naturally before Thursday do you think I still have to go and be scanned will they still offer an erpc if it's started on it's own? Is it better to mc naturally can you ttc sooner. Can you ttc straight away with both.I'm feeling old and like time is ticking by and I'm waiting, waiting and bl*dy more waiting. I hope you don't mind me asking questions that have probably been asked a million times before but when I search so much comes up and it makes me sadder (is that a word) so many losses.
Update on my hussypussy cat. She's had her kittens but we can't find where. She's coming in for food and then dissapears outside nowhere to be seen. I WANT KITTENS
