Ok, feel a bit scared actually starting the new thread but here we are, for however long (or short) our time here may be.

Off you go ladies. Welcome () one and all.

Allthe8s · 17/03/2010 15:31

Bigmutha Do you know if they are testing you for anticardio lipids and lupus?? The results took about 4 weeks to come back for me.

Goodluckbear · 17/03/2010 15:01

MrsG - you are taking peeing on things to a whole new level.

I still thought you were actually peeing right into the envelope. I really wasn't thinking properly.

xxxxx

Goodluckbear · 17/03/2010 14:59

Aw, Bigmuther so sorry about Charlie, and everything that you're going through.

xxxxx

bigmuther65 · 17/03/2010 14:31

Mrsgazebo The tests would be some blood tests to see if they could answer why i keep having MC,s.Have a appointment at the hospital on the 25th,but from what i know the process can take a few months.Just really want to start trying as soon as possible i know that i could never replace charlie, but hate feeling so empty..

MrsGazebo · 17/03/2010 14:29

It's one of my many claims to fame

I usually reel that one out when drunk, just after I've made a show of myself Irish Dancing to "I'll tell me Ma" and other such like.
I think in my tiny mind it may sometimes persuade people that it was Irish dancing and not a collection of random moves that I was taught by a crazy Aunty 26 years ago.

Unbuffs thank you for sharing my concern about semantics of pee gate I realise I need a plan

I shall attempt to pee in a sample pot first
and then under strict instructions half fill tiny tube and push cap on firmly
( there are diagrams and everything! )
Put tiny tube in large tube....
I won't bore you all with the rest, riviting as it is.
I'll spoil the ending for you and tell you what happens cos I know you're all on the edge of your seats.... it's a picture of a postbox with an arrow with the envelope + sample going in.
I kid you not.

Cake for me too please, just had mackrel on toast though so it may go too well.

Unbuffy · 17/03/2010 13:35

Ooh ooh Dubliners, wow, blimey, cool and other words too! Excitment! Like Dubliners, and Pogues, and Worzels (can't help that, live in Somerset. It's compulsory).

Suggestions for thread pet duties anyone (apart from regular sausage updates for us to drool jealously over)?

HOW do you pee into tiny hole in envelope? Is it designed for men? Or are you supposed to use a funnel? Or a jug?

Yes please birthday cake for me I'm permanently starving atm!

Welcome back Bigmutha,and best wishes.

Allthe8s · 17/03/2010 13:26

Afternoon Ladies - anyone for birthday cake I have lots left over from yesterday?! (It's chocolate....)

Glad RTD (Red Tide of Doom) arrived MrsGazebo and you have your envelope - good luck and I hope your results come back clear : )

Bunnybaby I think I am in the same boat as you at the moment, crazy cycle etc etc although I think I may have missed the boat, not sure.......but I am doing that thing where I start thinking and feeling things! Hang in there Happygirl1

Fingers crossed Muser for a number below 100!

Welcome back Bigmuther, sorry to hear about Charlie, I know how fragile you must feel and I know how difficult it is to make the decision to wait and have the tests (I was 21 weeks). We waited and had the tests and I am so glad I did wait, I think that time although painful actually helped me to recover emotionally in the long run. I hope you are getting lots of support. x

MrsGazebo · 17/03/2010 13:23

Awww shucks! You guys, you made me feel all squishy and nice inside.

Bigmuther I'am so sorry to hear about Charlie. I hope you and Mr.BM are doing as well as can be.
Which tests are you having?
Sorry to be nosey, tell me to bugger off if you don't want to share yet
You're welcome to join Muser , Jolls and I in the bar at the side for a while twiddling our thumbs listening to hold muszac.

Mr.G would like a full job discription of Thread Pet Unbuffy then he may consider
He's currently walking round Town trying to find a sandwich place that isn't "blaring feckin' Irish shite" and swearing at people under his breath dressed in "frigging stupid plastic green hats and twatty glasses" who apparently "are not even Irish".
He's such a joy!
I am Irish (well 3/4)
I'm related to one of The Dubliners!

Muser would you mind awfully dear, if that when I do get my HCG results back, I annoy the living piss out of you with Q's?
You are quite the expert now

Bunny here's hoping that you're right but I like to be awkward and not really having a proper R2D2 hasn't givin me much of a clearout.
Tmi but only needed panty liners and didn't bleed through once.

We shall see, can pee in tiny tube tomorrow.
Came with very concise instructions.

BunnyBaby · 17/03/2010 12:42

mrsgazebo that's great getting RTD and envelope together. Hopefully RTD cleared out remaining hormones so you can move onto TTC.

bigmuther65 welcome and sorry to see you here. I was also on the Aug thread and lost a little boy too, though earlier at 12 weeks. I know you had bleeding early on and a real rollercoaster and had everything crossed for you that you were past the 'safe' point. Lots of warm wishes to you and your other half at such a sad time xxx

VivClicquot · 17/03/2010 12:15

Hurray for the wonderful return of MrsG - it's lovely to have you back doll xx

And hi bigmuther - I'm so sorry to hear about Charlie and hope that you and your DP are bearing up as well as you can be. You're right - this is a fast moving thread but I genuinely think this one of the loveliest corners of mumsnet, so hope you feel at home

Hi to everyone else. Day 11 for me and I seem to be producing an unholy amount of cm. (Hope none of you are having eggs for lunch )

That said, there's no peak just yet on the CBFM, but am hoping this means I'll be ov'ing in the next couple of days rather than on D18 like the last two cycles. DH isn't going to know what's hit him when he gets back from his work trip this evening.

Love to all xxxx

bigmuther65 · 17/03/2010 12:01

Just come to join you ladies we lost our lo at nearly 16wks about three weeks ago still feeling really fragile, we know it was a little boy who we named Charlie. We know we will try again, but it still scares me as still won,t feel safe after the 12wk point. This was my third mc so we have been offered tests, but this would halt the ttc process for a few months.
Seems like this is a fast moving thread so i will try and keep up with everyone

Muser · 17/03/2010 11:44

Nice to see you back MrsG. We can keep each other company during our long wait.

More blood tests for me again. The nurses now know me. I'm hoping for a HcG level below 100. That would mean no more blood tests.

littlemiss72 · 17/03/2010 11:23

Welcome back MrsG good to see you back on the board and always nice to read your posts.

Working from home today.. not done much yet though!

Unbuffy · 17/03/2010 11:19

Can we have Mr G as a thread pet? Or does he need his own stats board?

MrsGazebo · 17/03/2010 11:09

Unbuffy
I do have a tendancy to go on.

I posted it and there were 6 posts since I'd started. Ooops. waves to everyone

Down there is about the only place I am petite!
I have small hands and feet?

Unbuffy · 17/03/2010 10:57

blimey, MrsG, you want to warn people before doing posts like that one, needed a coffee (decaff, natchrelli) just to get through it - and then spat it all out again in huge laughing/coughing fit all over the keyboard when I got to sausage throwing...

Congrats on being petite btw, you could therefore pose in magazines

Top of the mornin ta ya all!

Well break out the banners, go round the neighbours to steal chairs, block of the road with cones from student pits, fire up Aunt Maude to bake a cake, everyone label your dishes... I'm having a street party!

Yes Ladies, the wait is over, after 68 days
the Biatch formally known as AF has arrived!
Can't say I wasn't really glad to see her for a change.

I thought it was going to be horendous but very light and has gone after 2 days.
Any hoo nuff bout me

Happy belated Birthday Allthe8's Lemon ask away! Mr.G doesn't need speacial undies no

Waves to all (Hi newbies) sorry not to name check but Mr.G has been playing around with craptop and he's decided that it should live under the telly, so we can use the T.V as a monitor and has per-chased a wireless mouse and keyboard (I am)
Very snazzy, but I'm sitting here like Mr Magoo trying to read back over the thread, then type changing the Font size back 'n' forth.
But I did manage to paste and copy list so I am clever really!

Bleedin' hell it's all go in the Gazebo this week, Postie has just delivered a padded envelope for me to tinkle in! Yay!
Finally won't be long till we get some results back so we can see how soon it is before I can become obsessed with TTC again! Yay!
Postie did deliver something from Sheffield on Sat and I got all excited thinking it was said envelope but it was an invite to take part in another trial to see if the connection to folate is linked with Molar pregnancy or summit like that.

I'm ashamed to say I didn't read it all, as I was too busy swearing and ranting that I wanted my envelope to pee in and get things moving and I am not going all the way to bloody Sheffield for half an hour.

I also opened it on Mothers day as a wonderful friend got me krunk on Sat night and I stayed at hers.

Re "Sausage gate"
I told Mr.G what I'd said and he thought it was hil-arious!
He was going to come on here and bask but then I explained that (i) You can get condoms over your head and (ii) I wouldn't want you all to think I had a fanjo like a canyon cos the nurse when I had my last smear said it was very petite.
I didn't ask she just volunteered that particular snippit of info.
Mr.G has reassured me that it is not "like throwing a sausage up a corridor"
I'll shut up now eh, Bit early for all this.
I'm off to open my prezzie from the hospital and see what I have to do.
Small things etc,etc

HappyGirl1 · 17/03/2010 10:47

BunnyBaby - fingers crossed for you that it was ovulation and what good timing then with your SWI - got everything crossed for you. You've got the big wait now too

HappyGirl1 · 17/03/2010 10:44

Also a question - in this day and age with all of the medical / science advances that we have, wouldn't you think that doctors could invent a test that you can carry out right after you have SWI to know if you are going to get pregnant - impossible i know but it just drives me crazy during this waiting period! I'm day 20 now since MC (Ov'd on Day 14) so it's just waiting waiting waiting!

BunnyBaby · 17/03/2010 10:44

Hello ladies, after my 29 day and 10 day cycles I got a real shock yesterday at day 12. There was pink spotting when I wiped and I thought 'WTF another short cycle?'.

It appears to not be present at all today, have even had a poo (I know tmi) which normally makes any spotting clearer, must be due to bearing down?! So am crossing my fingers now that it may have been ovulation.

I may be clutching at straws as have never had any ovulation spots before, but hey-ho anything is possible following mmc. Have got some hope as me and DH SWI from day 8 as I had a feeling I may ovulate early. If I did ovulate yesterday morning that would be great as we SWI the night before which would be perfect timing.

All items crossed that it was ovulation and period holds off for next two weeks. Why does it all have to be so complicated? Biscuit anyone?

HappyGirl1 · 17/03/2010 10:43

Happy St. Patricks Day everyone.. I'm irish and forgot to wear green or a shamrock today!

Been out of the loop on this for a bit. Hope you are all doing as well as can be expected.

I had pains yesterday very similar to what I had when I MC'd so that's kind of scary - darts of pain right up my middle to my bellybutton. Not too bad or anything but I've only ever had them when I MC'd. Feel fine though. Felt a bit funny though this morning and of course my mind wanders and hopes that it could be something but clearly I've got an over active imagination.

Really hope someone gets a BFP today - would be positive news for us all I think

Unbuffy · 17/03/2010 10:30

More waves to goodluckbear crossed posts.

Happy St Paddy's, all, and remember, Guinness is good for you (and a good source of iron

Unbuffy · 17/03/2010 10:28

RIGHT... [buffy rolls up sleeves and gets out pencil and paper]

Welcome back MrsG we've missed you - you always make us laugh, something about the images you plant in our heads. Hope all is as well as it can be under the circumstances

Alba Hope last night went smoooooothly and slippery-ly, have you got a big satisfied grin this morning?

Allthe8s Happy belated birthday, keep smiling each year brings more wisdom and luck, or so i've been told. And don't worry about your 29 days, everything gets messed up after mc (I speak, as somebody once said, with the utter assurance of somebody who knows nothing at all about the subject - well, mostly)

Hope today's a bit better Pollyanna, agree it's sickening other people being pregnant. I just found out my sil is, and all i want to say to her is 'you don't deserve this, I SO DO', but being lovely and kind it's smiles and gritted teeth... it'll be our turns soon

What's occurring Spottysox? Any forwarder in the sad business ? Thinking of you. Oh, and wondering, can you get dark choclate on prescription?

Hippy Keep Calm and Carry On, as they used to say. RTD will come soon, probably while you're wearing your tightiest whities and are not prepared for it . And you WILL be showing photos to everyone soon - just look at the grads list. We're getting there!

Littlemiss tried to watch one born... last night but turns out we can't get channel 4, only S4C what is in Welsh. Ah well, saved the tears probably.

Gilda lol at tighty whiteys, but starting to get concerned about your cm obsession - making its way into poetry, even!?

Waves to Slimyak, Wannabe and anyone else I've not namechecked, I'm off for a large cuppa and something to nibble on. Cheers!

Goodluckbear · 17/03/2010 10:14

Welcome back MrsG!!! Good to see you....
