Congratulations Happygirl

I have my latest test results back. HCG levels are 11, which is fantastic. No more blood tests, no more hospital visits. I just have to POAS next week to confirm a negative and then it's all done.

Mummy3610 · 24/03/2010 17:53

Oh - Yes! Forgot to say DS1 has a birthday today, hence the subtle name change

VivClicquot · 24/03/2010 17:01

PS - May I be so bold as to start the new thread? Then step this way >>>

clicky

VivClicquot · 24/03/2010 16:53

Bonjour mes petits chou-fleurs!

Well bugger me sideways - I step away from the thread for three bloody days and we get three bloody BFPs! Massive massive congratulations to alba, unbuffy and happygirl - I'm so utterly thrilled for you all. Here's to an uneventful 38 weeks xx

Hi to all the newbies too - sorry you're here but hopefully you're all already feeling at home.

As for me and my petit sojourn en France - well, all thoughts of some gallic 'boffing avec intention' went out of the window when I got a on an OPK on Friday night, and then a peak on the Clearblue on Sat morning. We didn't leave for France 'til Sunday am, so had to make do with some very English SWI on Saturday instead (and one for luck in France on Sunday, obv).

So after having not ovulated until day 17 / 18 for the last two months, I am back down to a day 13 / 14 - which is a big yay, but typical for our visions of a romantic weekend away!

Anyway, we had a lovely lovely time, despite the fact that Carcassonne was like a bloody ghost town - barely anything in terms of shops, restaurants, bars etc was open, which made it quite strange and even eerie at times. I'm not sure whether it's because it's too early in the year, or whether it was too early in the week but either way, it was just plain odd. That said, the weather yesterday was gorgeous so I got some welcome sunbathing in before arriving back home today.

So onto a TMI alert - I'm either 3 or 4dpo and I've just got home to some brown cm on my tightie whities. I know it's too early for implantation (I should be so lucky) so any ideas as to what it is?

Much love and bisous to all
Viv xx

hippychick66 · 24/03/2010 16:19

Just realised that I worked that out wrong - it was almost 5 weeks since the EPRC before I got my period. I now it makes no difference at all to anyone, but it will bug me that I got it wrong - Mad Old Hippy.

Also I guess if you've just had an EPRC it would be more encouraging to read that my cycle returned after 5 weeks rather than 6 - IYSWIM.

In a funny way I felt better once I got my period. I thought it was going to be so horrible but it actully re-assured me that my body was now ready to go again. It was like my body was saying, "Here have another egg, try again, don't give up!"

Maybe it's just the sunshine but I feel a lot more positive.

Minxi not sure what to say about the preg test. I got a negative about a week after my EPRC but carried on bleeding on and off for about another week. If you have stopped bleeding and are still not getting a neg might be worth checking with GP.

Can't give you all any cake or bad stuff cos consultant said it would be good for me to lose about a stone so will give out loads of fresh pinapple instead.

Oh and by the way, I asked Consultant about progesterone cream which you use after ovulation and he said it would do no harm but he could not say it would do good. He said he was fine for me to use it though if it helped me. DH said he probably thought it would have a placebo effect on my mad old brain!

Like buses 'aint the saying!
You lot have been busy!
My goodness!
HappyGirl Fantastic news!
Lets hope this run continues 'eh.
Who's next? Come on, the ClearBlue fairy is being nice and kind at the moment.

It's ok for me, no pressure to TTC, not that I'm enjoying it mind you.
I'm not being very careful either to be honest
I feel like I'm an imposter and only post about banal aspects of my exciting life till I'm back counting DPO and the like.
SWoI yesterday, CD9
No idea when I ov but I'm treading on thin ground

Muser Great news. Every day is one closer.

UpBuff Do you work for Ann Summers?
You'll start a stampede for stockings to win us our baybees.

Sheer? Lacey? Support?

Welcome to the Tea Party Minxi
So sorry you're going through this, hormones can be stubborn.
I too found out at nearly 12 weeks with my last MC.
This lot have been a God send and it's always a good place to be.

I want a time machine too, that would be amazing, David Tennant is redundant and we could capture him, the T.A.R.D.I.S is being scrapped too

GLB he's also much better looking than Star Trek Beings.

Ooo, UppedBuffness Spotty's Puddy Tat had Puddy Kittens and it was suggested that they could be Thread pets too, and as they're most probably pants at making virtual Bacon butties and Cocktails we can divert all tactile attention on them and Mr.G can do the manual fings and keep us amused.

hippychick66 · 24/03/2010 15:52

Just popped on to say whoop whoop to Happygirl, Alba and Unbuffy. How wonderful to get so many all in a row. Good things come in 3's they say but i say good things come in 100's - then we all get a BFP!

Hello to anyone new since I was last on here. Sorry you're here, I know it is totally sh*t to have to find this thread but everyone knows how you feel and totally symathises.

I got my on Monday. Almost 6 weeks since the EPRC. The good news was that it was 2 weeks since I got a positive on an OPK and had egg white so it looks like I have a decent Luteal Phase again (at least for this month). Am ready to start SWI at the first sign of the slippery stuff! Worked out that if I was successful this month my due date would be 27/12 - but still going for it .

My appointment at consultant was good. He thinks it was more than likely a chromosome problem given my history and he urged me to be positive for next time - which was nice and very encouraging.

Can one of you clever people put me on CD #3 please. Usual cycle length can be 28 for the mo and I will see how it goes.

Love to all. Still smiling about the BFP's .

BunnyBaby · 24/03/2010 15:16

happygirl I'm a happy girl too to hear your news! Well done!

I have huge boobs looking (can see veins) and have been up twice in the night for widdles over the last few nights, my skin feels better too. Still 9 days until RTD due but ovulated early so only 6 days until 14dpo. Trying not to get excited, but being crazy symptom spotter! Lol xxx

Allthe8s · 24/03/2010 14:35

Yay (shouting quietly!) happygirl fab news - sending sticky bean vibes your way x

HappyGirl1 · 24/03/2010 14:23

Ladies Ladies sorry I'm so nervous and so used to typing BFN that I typed it by mistake..

I meant I got a BFP

and that I hope the run of BFP's continues for us all on this thread now

sorry ladies - my head is clearly all over the shop

HappyGirl1 · 24/03/2010 14:21

Well Ladies (whispering incredibly quietly) I have some potentially hopeful good news, I got a BFN yesterday.. I'm only 4 weeks though today / tomorrow so I'm incredibly nervous and cautious. Nowhere near ready for the Grads list yet.

Whispered congrats to Unbuffy and Alba also.

I'm so nervous and yet so happy but so nervous. If I get 2 weeks from tomorrow then I would be past the time I got to last time so fingers crossed.

So nervous, every twinge and I worry.

Really hope that the run of BFN's continues now for everyone else on here. I'm sending lots of good vibes and a fairy cake .

From a very very very nervous HappyGirl

Goodluckbear · 24/03/2010 14:14

Hi Minxi - glad you found us here. I'll just echo what everyone else has already said as they say it better than I can!

ElmMum - I would like a time machine, a special one that stops time until I've recovered and got pg again, and then starts it off again. I would also use the time machine to go a year ahead to see if I'm up the duff/have baby by then. They always have these things in Star Trek....

Hey Muse - when will you get the blood tests back? Hope they are all clear. How long will the wait be - if it is clear, do you still get to start ttc from end May? Hope it all goes ok.

Polly - my first period post mc was fairly straight forward - I guess I never paid that much attention to them before, but I think it was fairly normal - but the one after that was very heavy (TMI ALERT!! - lots of red blood constantly, so changing pads very frequently - reminded me of the mc which was shitty). I guess it has taken my body a little extra time to get back to normal, although my cycle is back to normal. Anyway, I guess I'm just saying that I think anything goes post mc.

Afternoon tea all round!!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

BunnyBaby · 24/03/2010 13:39

minxi we found out our lo didn't make it at 12 weeks scan. They estimated 11+2. Cycle after was 29 days and I spotted for the first 14 of those. Next cycle was 10 days and I spotted right until RTD hit. This cycle seems normal so far, with a little ovulation spot at day 12 so we'll wait and see! It takes a while for all hormones to settle down. Just trust your body knows what it's doing. No-one told me to poas which is a good thing for me (one less thing to worry about) Xxx

ElmMum · 24/03/2010 13:37

Allthe8s - thanks, I'm okay today, although I think my hormones are all over the place as ranted at DH down the phone over something v trivial. Felt very PMS-ish but can't be as have only just finished mc.

Minxi - really sorry you've had to come here but hopefully you'll find this thread a comfort.

Unbuffy and Pollyanna - it makes me tired even thinking about SWI! The idea of having to drag on stockings to get DH in the mood... ahgh. Poor DH. He's not had much action for ages but we're both too knackered. Will have to come up with some tricks to get us both going when the time comes.

Having heard from another friend that she's due just when we would have been, I feel in a tearing hurry to get TTC again to 'catch up', as it were. But I know I have to wait a bit - at least til I've had a period. But it's so hard. I feel like the world is going on without me and I'm being left behind.

Onwards and upwards
x

Unbuffy · 24/03/2010 13:08

Pollyanna I felt no ovulation pains at all this month. But I have apparently ovulated nonetheless! (also 2nd cycle post mc) Have you tried wearing stockings? I swear by 'em...

Pollyanna · 24/03/2010 12:55

alba woohoo on feeling nauseous!

minxi sorry you are here. I had a mc at the beginning of feb. It took a good 3 weeks for pg tests to turn neg. I got RTD around 5 weeks after mc.

Jollster- yes please come round with baseball bat! DH being more understanding and up for swi now. No bloody good now though on day 20-whatever! He has promised he will be better next month. I can't remember who asked, but we do swi/swoi throughout the month and I don't expressly say that this week is the week or whatever, but he has a suspicious mind and just refuses to put out for a week.

I have a que about my cycle and wondered if anyone else had the same.... my first period after mc was quite strange. Not extremely heavy and no cramping etc. Then since then I haven't detected any ovulation at all (have been temping, but possibly can't read the signs properly). Am I on for a really horrid RTD this time? It seems strange that my last period was relatively light when I was told that my womb lining was very thick. And also am I the only person not to ovulate?

AlbaDeTamble · 24/03/2010 12:31

So sorry you're here Minxi, but you've found fantastic support, and it helps enormously

mummy3610, one of your dcs just had a birthday?
I felt very anaemic especially when the awful 'good old clear out' first RTD arrived (v heavy) and have been taking spatone ever since, incredible difference very quickly. Floradix also good I've heard. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Unbuffy, yes to everything, was planning on asking you the same! And despite feeling incredibly nauseous (all the pg symptoms back with a vengeance all at once) I still don't want to move to the bottom of the list till I know the scariest first few days over. Also plan on weekend test, went to buy some just now from next nearest boots to work, but it's closed down... So will have to brave nearest branch and hope no colleagues spot me... Or find a waitrose for those special ones with streamers that gi1da mentioned...

Waves to all, on phone so apologies no more namechecks...

Mummy3610 · 24/03/2010 11:48

The long-awaited RTD got me last night, as I anticipated, so have relegated myself to the bottom of the list.

It's lovely to hear happy news on here - congrats to Unbuffy and Alba. And sorry to minxi for your MC. I MC'd 19th Jan and bled for 5 weeks. This is my first AF since then and is very heavy, am feeling completely washed out today - and I'm due a blood test this week to check my iron levels!

Great news muse - at least that's the first hurdle over with. Treat yourself to something decadent today - go on! x

Muser · 24/03/2010 11:32

Morning. I was back at the hospital today for my weekly blood test. Fingers crossed this was my last visit and I'm officially not pregnant. Then I just have the long wait before we can try again.

randomimposter · 24/03/2010 11:25

Hi Minxi
Welcome but sorry you're here.

In answer to your specific qs, I had my 2nd MMC on Feb 26th, and waiting for an ERPC MC "naturally" on March 4th. I was re-scanned on March 8th, and told to POAS 2 weeks later to check it was negative (not given any supplies though, had to purchase, you're obviously in a more exclusive part of the country ).

Did so this morning and there was only the VERY VERY faintest of lines, so I'm counting that as a BFN. FWIW when I had an ERPC with my first MMC noone mentioned about doing any tests, so I didn't. My first period came exactly one calendar month after the ERPC. So I would say wait a couple of days as bigmuther said.

I waited for first period to TTC last time, and will do so again this time.

Hope you're doing ok - I found my first MMC much worse than this one. Am still waiting for something to hit me, but at the mo am doing ok.

Hi to everyone, alba and buffs woo hoo again.... tick tock til the weekend tests huh - THEN you can graduate (BTW the grads thread is LOVELY, they'll look after you).

slimyak · 24/03/2010 11:07

Oh minxi I really feel for you. I was in the same position just before Christmas. I wasn't given any sticks and I'm pleased. I knew it was over and I planned to give myself a good Christmas of not TTC.
If you can wait until your RTD has returned to normal it might make you feel better emotionally - but I do understand wanting to get right back on the horse, so to speak.

On a happier note a quiet congrats to unbuffy and alba, and TFLS the 12 week scan has got to be a happy milestone to get too. I is smiling for you all .

I've got another week to wait before RTD is due and I'm thinking big, slightly tingly boobs - not in a wierd way, in a symptoms spotting way. Anyway, off on girls weekend to the seaside this week which will keep me away from stupidly early testing.

This thread moves super fast. I'm trying to keep up but struggle with the name checks, sorry. Hello to all and fingers crossed next time I'm here I'll have a BFP to share and others will join me.

Unbuffy · 24/03/2010 11:03

Hi minxi,

don't worry, your bfn will come (Sounds weird but it is a relief to see). Sometimes it just takes a while. For your doc to say exactly 2 weeks is pushing it a bit I think - everyone's body is different. Have you stopped bleeding yet? Are you still in (physical, obviously) pain with cramps etc? Is there a chance you may have - i'm going to say this although i detest the phrase - products retained? Stay calm and don't worry - be kind to yourself. If you need to stick around here for a bit, I'm sure there will be some ladies along who have more brian and better advice than me. I do know it can take ages for the hormones to shift though.

Mrs G frotting is one thing, but directing all strokes and squeezes to hussy tats?? Do we have a particular hussy in mind, and would she not object?

Yes please don't move me yet, I'm still only a Bloody Faint Positive, not a proper bfp. I'm planning to test again on Sunday morning, which unless af comes first will be hopefully more definate.

Alba, how are you this morning? Are you still reeling ? When are you planning on gradding and are you planning on visiting the grads thread - if so and all being well and hedging all bets will you handhold with me 'cos they are big and scawy people over there...

Lots of crazy waving at everybody else, and especially to Pollyanna with flying ((())) cos she needs it.

bigmuther65 · 24/03/2010 10:47

minxi so sorry you are going through this, i lost my LO at 15+5 about 4 wks ago.Sorry can,t answer about the test sticks, but i would give it a few days then try again.
